Pakistani Ambassador to Denmark: 'Now Are You Satisfied?'

Fri, Jun 6, 2008 at 9:35:10 pm PDT

Following the bombing outside the Danish embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan’s ambassador to Denmark says to the people of Denmark, “Now are you satisfied?

Fauzia Mufti Abbas, Pakistan’s ambassador to Denmark, agreed that the Mohammed cartoons, first published in Jyllands-Posten newspaper in October 2005, had incited Muslim anger and were possibly the motivation for the attack, which killed eight and wounded as many as 30.

‘It isn’t just the people of Pakistan that feel they have been harassed by what your newspaper has begun,’ she said. ‘I’d like to know if your newspaper is satisfied with what it has done and what it has unleashed?

Fabricated cartoons worsened Danish controversy
"...the Danish Muslim delegation showed much more than the 12 cartoons published by Jyllands Posten. In the booklet it presented during its tour of the Middle East, the delegation included other cartoons of Mohammed that were highly offensive, including one where the Prophet has a pig face. But these additional pictures were NOT published by the newspaper, but were completely fabricated by the delegation and inserted in the booklet."

A few days ago I posted a link to a report from the Philippines of a Catholic leader (a Bishop I believe) who was encouraging the establishment of an Muslim autonomous region within the country, along with Sharia etc.

Well, it appears as if MILF is threatening to restart their war:

Philippines: Muslim rebel group threatens new war

Manila, 6 June (AKI) - The largest Muslim rebel group in the Philippines issued a warning on Friday threatening fresh violence against the government if peacekeepers withdraw from the south of the country.

The rebels from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) said that war would be inevitable if the mandate of the International Monitoring Team was not extended.
[...]
Iqbal said that the MILF will not restart talks with Manila just to renew the mandate of the IMT.

"If we do restart the talks, we will have to concentrate on the agreements of the ancestral territories," he said referring to the area covering Mindanao and the archipelago of Sulu.
[...]
The Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao currently occupies about 20 percent of Mindanao, the island which was at one time only occupied by Islamised tribes, collectively known as the Moro.

Apparently progress cannot be made and the tiny IMT (54 people from 4 countries) will pack their bags soon.

The kicker though is in the last paragraph (quoted above.) Problem is that it just isn't true, according to information I can find (though I confess to not having a great deal of depth in this area.) Per Wikipedia:

Contrary to common belief, only a portion of Mindanao was inhabited by Muslims after the arrival of Islam. In fact, most of the people in the northern and eastern part of the island practiced native religions before they were converted to Christianity.

I'm not defending the Spanish/American/Japanese colonizations of the Philippines.... but the truth is that the locals have always been a mix of peoples and religions... and AKI (the Italian news agency) is just wrong in their assertion.

FWIW, I do not believe the Philippines situation can be expected to be solved peacefully (easily or anytime soon), though it does seem like the IMT ought not to leave.

Check out MEMRI sometime and see what passes as acceptable political cartoons in the Muslim world. "In bad taste" does not cover some of the vitriol being spewed out by "mainstream" Arab or Muslim newspapers.

But most Americans will never see those cartoons, because the MSM won't show them to them. That would contradict the narrative that it's just a tiny minority who hate us. And it would get in the way of us understanding them, in that touchy-feely Mike Morford kind of way that has nothing to do with actually understanding them.

Only in certain areas of Mindanao. The main island is still predominately Christian and safe as NYC. Many of my wife's friend are from Davao and say that problem is overblown by the media. Deep down -- how humiliating it must be for Muslim men not to feel fully responsible for their own acts of violence.

Muslim males are evidently not mature or complex enough to have fully developed volitional capacities.

How bitter and deep-seated the jealousy appears to be for Muslim adults that non-Muslim Danish adults are more fully independent and far more complicated in their motives.

That's actually not a bad sociological experiment. Post anti-Christian, anti-Jewish, anti-Buddhist etc. artwork and see which gets you the most death threats. I know which will be the "winner", of course. But it would be nice to have some hard data to back up my gut feeling.

The funny thing is, this bozo from Pakistan doesn't realize that I already DO have the very anti-Christian art he fantasizes about posted at the Mohammed Image Archive.

From the Links page:

A far-left student newspaper in Oregon called The Insurgent tried to prove some kind of point by publishing a picture of a naked Jesus with an erection, seeking to "teach a lesson" to Christians about what it felt like to have their prophet mocked. Though the image was vastly more offensive than the original Danish Mohammed cartoons, there were no riots or death threats issued over the Jesus cartoon, which was probably the reverse of what the editors of The Insurgent were trying to prove. The "erection Jesus" was only one of 12 different anti-Jesus cartoons published by The Insurgent. Since Jesus is already mocked incessantly in mainstream Western culture, the students' attempt at outrageousness fell flat.

The moronic leftists in Oregon ended up proving the EXACT OPPOSITE of what they wanted to prove: They thought that by offending Christians, they would elicit riots and death threats. Instead, nothing happened whatsoever, proving the Christians are more tolerant than Muslims and not as violent.

Ooops.

But being leftists, they undoubtedly were incapable of grasping that fact, since being wrong is outside their realm of comprehension.

"Fifteen-year-old Jehan Mina became pregnant after being raped by her uncle and cousin. Her family filed a complaint of rape but since there were no witnesses, the alleged rapists were acquitted. Yet her pregnancy was proof that "zina" [extra-marital sexual intercourse] had taken place and she was sentenced to 100 lashes in public. The punishment was later converted to 3 years imprisonment and 10 lashes."

re: #203 Intrepid

I am sure that spirit still exists amongst the Danes, as it does amongst the British, the French, the Americans, the [insert whatever nation], and so on, but you wont find it in the mainstream, and certainly not in the media.

I will not submit, I will not bend my knee, I will be free. This is an ideology that can be found in all peoples, regardless of geographic location. This is a sentiment felt worldwide, but not often reflected in media/popular culture.

The headlines of any given country can at times be discouraging, but they do not reflect the will and determination of their people. Just as those who sought to impose the will of the third reich upon the world (with the help of popular media) were ultimately defeated, so too shall those who wish to impose the rule of the caliphate be ultimately defeated.

Such fascist movements place great dependence upon the useful idiot, the foolish who buy into their dead-end doctrines. What they most often fail to account for is the (as you call it) Viking Spirit. The spirit in all people everywhere which declares "With my last breath, with my last drop of blood, and until my very death: I WILL NOT SUBMIT, I WILL NOT BEND, I WILL BE FREE"!

Hugo Chavez already has paranoia, stealing food from the starving, plundering his country's economy, and using terrorism to destabilize a neighbor on his dictatorial resume. However, no mad tyrant's career can be considered complete without a bizarre  anti-Semitic screed.

In its May 15, 2008 edition, Moscow News published an interview in

failed coup d’etat of April 11, 2002, aimed at overthrowing Hugo
Chávez, there were "many Mossad snipers, who were Venezuelan citizens

However...there is that sudden withdrawal of all Danish troops from Iraq last year to be considered.

Is that where the extra manpower for Afghanistan is coming from?

re: #169 Pawn of the Oppressor

Dude clearly has a screw loose. I wonder what compels somebody to go on a groping spree? How much fun can that really be, anyway? He could have paid for it, surely it would have been cheaper than the cost of bail, lawyers, and loss of income.

He may be bipolar.
Or simply under the influence of drugs.

there is no reasoning w/ this type of moslem. he is corrupted thoroughly by the screed.
this diplomat, in a western suit and tie, in a civilized country, has brought the baggage of islam w/ him. especially the primitive miserable pawkeesauni brand.
we are not having a real conversation w/ him. he does not hear or understand our point of view.
his crazed devotion to allah has suspended his ability to think. we are at a huge disadvantage to believe that there is common ground we can reach w/ such people.
in their zeal to 'protect' islam, they will continue to blame the rest of the world for any act of terrorism committed by a moslem anywhere.

This is nothing but an example of European decadence and apathy at its finest sending a signal to others that they should hide in their homes, allowing radicals and extremists to dictate their lives and oppress their freedom of speech and expression. That is exactly what this raging pinhead is advocating. Did Europeans learn nothing from the lessons of World War II? I say bully for the Danish newspaper that refused to bow down to political correctness and all the foolishness and stupidity it implies. Place the blame where it belongs for a change - on the shoulders of the terrorists who own the guilt for murder and mayhem.

262 Attila the Hen  Sat, Jun 7, 2008 7:24:44am

Denmark should tell the Pakistani ambassador, who obviously endorses and condones the actions of these terrorists, to go straight to Hell, which in his particular case would be home.

re: #261 Attila the Hen

It's sad do say, but Europeans don't care about anything but their welfare checks. Since they get those from the socialist government and the socialist government has chosen to ally itself with, or at least appease radical islam, they bow their heads like good little dimmis.

I'm wondering if two world wars didn't kill off enough of the men with any cajones to leave the population wimpified.

Tinfoil hat theory#65.

The Pakistani Ambassador is a classic. We blow you up and it's all your fault - no matter what the reason.
Unfortunately, it takes almost nothing for them to riot, burn flags and kill innocent people (no Danes were killed in the bombing). They will not destroy us, they will destroy themselves. But we will still be to blame.
The Danes should have told the Pakistanis that when they stop behaving like self indulgent homecidal children (and murdering innocents in the process) then the Danes will start taking what they have to say seriously. In the meantime perhaps they could stop insulting non Muslims and their religions, that would help; and that they should think themselves lucky that we don't behave in the same manner!
Buy Danish...

zombie, I hope the threats aren't real. Take care.
Salma needs to take a chill pill and stop insulting our religion. Idiot.

Brought to you by the same people who say, That female piece of meat was raped because she was dressed immorally.(See Australian imam for his wonderful statements of compassion and understanding towards women).

re: #122 tigger2005

Again who are they worshiping? Allah (the 'ol moon god) or a man and a book? It appears they are into the latter two more than the first.

268 Challenger  Sat, Jun 7, 2008 9:06:43am

What a joke. "Hey it's your backwards, evil religion. Are you satisfied to behave like 7th century barbarians?"

There is still a lot of dissatisfaction here about the cartoons, as well as the fact that the Danish government still has not condemned them or the people that were responsible for them. As long as that hasn't happened, Denmark will be under the constant threat of militant muslims,' Gunaranta said.

I believe this to be the ingrained and persistent mentality of almost all of the 'non-militant' muslims.

Not to condemn muslim terror but rather that those who dared insult Islam be condemned and then maybe, just maybe, they'll let you live.

271 Joan Not of Arc  Sat, Jun 7, 2008 10:50:52am

The ambassador is an arrogant SOB.
If I was the Danish press, I would re-publish the cartoons with the heading: "How do you like these apples?"

re: #269 Carolyn

I was just going to say that! Have you ever noticed that psychopaths/serial killer-types always say to their victims : "YOU made me rape you" or "YOU made me torture you and murder you" ?

It's always someone else's fault.

They can't be responsible for their own actions. Self-government, the ability of mature individuals to use reason and logic and moral compass when deciding what one will or won't do, is obviously out of the question to these lunatics; as is taking responsibility for one's own choices......in the immortal words of Geraldine (Flip Wilson's character) "The DEVIL made me do it!"

How can so many individuals be so hoodwinked into such a mindset that blames everyone else and denies personal responsibility? Islam is chock-full of them. That's probably why the LoonyLibs love them so much-- kindred spirits.
