How many times have I said to myself, "Stick a fork in him--he's done!"?

There are so many things that Obama has said that are just dumb(!), not to mention that he's speaking out of both sides of his face on a daily basis. His associates alone should be enough to disqualify him for the office of POTUS.

And, these blogs--this isn't "six degrees of Kevin Bacon". BHO's image decorates the banner at the top of each of these blogs!

I've often wondered about Jesus' words, "Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather." When I see the crowds fawning over this empty suit, I think I finally understand.

May God have mercy on us all.

Actually that's why so many of these types can exist and support someone like this. Once McCarthyism was turned into a joke/attack on liberals that had no basis, they are now able to operate in the open. They count on the schools not to teach anyone that McCarthy was right.

No more View from the cheap seats for Michelle Obama.

The potential next first lady of the United States is slated to appear June 18 as a guest host on The View.

This double-standard drives me crazy. People criticise the US from such a lofty pedestal, when in reality they're decades away in civil rights for their minorities.

Did you read today in the NYT, an article (here on IHT) about the visiting Islamic students to America?

"The political choices across the Atlantic invite comparisons with French elections. "Here it is more closed," said Eric Smith, a 38-year-old gardener who came to France from Guyana.

Simakala, the economics teacher, said: "It is revolutionary that a black has reached this level. His election would mean that barriers and prejudices will fall, maybe here, too."

Jazouli, the sociologist, agrees. "If a black man in America can push open the door, then it opens it for others," he said. "Generally, what happens in America happens 10 years later in France."

Ten years? Try 50.

Hazy eyed they catch my glance,

My warm momentum throws their stance.

I leave a trail of rooted people
Mesmerised by just the sight,

Love as One I Am the Light...

Jazouli, the sociologist, agrees. "If a black man in America can push open the door, then it opens it for others," he said. "Generally, what happens in America happens 10 years later in France."

I'm sick of Blacks being the "chosen" minority. They've gotten more help than any other group and for more years than any group. Yet complain the loudest. I'd say America has advanced if a Jew "could push open the door" to the presidency. Why hasn't that happened? Jews have contributed more to America's success than any other group, IMHO.

re: #98 David Simon

What land grab? Illegal under what statute?

Oh, and by the way, most Arabs don't want Israel "apartheid," they want it Judenrein.

Lefties use the word "illegal" to describe, in general, anything they don't like, figuring that most people are too ill-informed to call them on it.

So Bush would be an "illegal" President fighting an "illegal" war created by his "illegal" advisor Karl Rove to make some "illegal" corporations rich, for example.

Yasmin Alibhai-Brown: Calling Obama black is an insult to his mother

Barack Obama is not black. He is the first mixed-race politician ever to get this far in the onerous and arduously testing American electoral process. In the US, under an over-arching American patriotism, separate ethnic categories are clearly labelled and race ghettoes (real or imagined) are commonplace. In such a severely organised society, Obama's achievements are all the more astounding since he fits neatly nowhere.

I just had a conversation with a friend regarding historical perspective. There is a block of voters that have never heard of Ronald Reagan, the Cold War, fall of the Berlin Wall...

And they don't teach these things in school. Without a larger perspective than most of those young-uns have, well, it's not a comforting thought.

They do a thorough job, however, on slavery and the civil rights movement of the 60's. They put the perspective right where they want it.

Subtitle: When former FBI Agent, Gary Aldrich, wrote his book, "Unlimited Access: An FBI Agent Inside The Clinton White House", he strenuously wanted to expose the Clinton's actions which endangered National Security. Little did he realize, when he was reporting personal observations of Clinton behavior, he was providing iron-clad proof that Bill and Hillary are, indeed, powerful Illuminist witches!

re: #159 UberInfidel67

Sarcasm is lost on these people. You cannot parody them into shame of their outlandish behavior. So honesty is the best, as always.

Consider when Ahmadinejad was asked to speak at Columbia. Were they shamed by the question, "Would you invite Hitler?". Not at all. They said, "Of course we'd invite Hitler." They cannot be parodied because they are off the scale - there exists no position beyond theirs to be held as an exaggeration for parody's sake.

re: #144 Tigger2005

Y'know, something interesting just occurred to me.

I was born in '66, so all the Vietnam/1968 DNC/Watergate stuff never entered my head. Now, by the time I was old enough (about 8 or 9 I think...I was a historically and politically precocious kid) to know about WWII, it already seemed a distant memory in the nation's consciousness, yet it was only a little over 30 years in the past.

But here we are 40 years after '68, and it seems like for many people, including people who were not even children then, that whole era happened yesterday...like we skipped right over the 80's and 90's.

Just seems odd to me.

The moonbats did. That's when they were going to "change the world". They invaded the colleges and News outlets and bent them to their will. The 80's and 90's didn't fit, because something went wrong in their "revolution" (Reagan).

re: #144 Tigger2005

That's because so much of the political and cultural narrative in this country is the work of: A) the '46-'54 Baby Boomers, who see all wars as Vietnam, all social issues as the Civil Rights Movement, and all Republican presidents as Nixon; and b) their kids, who feel cheated out of the experience of living at a time when the Young, Dumb and Arrogant were King, and are desperately trying to ReCreate '68.

(Of course, the above is a massive generalization, since the majority of the members of both demographic groups don't fit the stereotype. Then again, said majority doesn't have a near-stranglehold on the popular media and the education system like their "activist" cohorts do.)

We can’t afford more of the same timid politics when the future of our planet is at stake. We are already breaking records with the intensity of our storms, the number of forest fires, and the periods of drought. By 2050, famine could force more than 250 million from their homes. And if we do nothing, sea levels will rise high enough to swallow large portions of every coastal city and town.
213 right wing zephyr  Sun, Jun 8, 2008 7:19:26pm
There's a reason that we here at The Next Right have chosen an open format in which anyone can blog, not unlike MyBO. Because it works. It builds more traffic, more community, and more engagement. If someone posts something defamatory or racist or antisemitic, you can be sure we'll do exactly what the Obama campaign did: take it down...

after it was exposed and was up for some extended period of time and without comment or condemnation.

This does seem to work to gain more supporters. Supporters who also support anti-semitism.

Ruffini seems foolish and is deliberately leaving out the key issue.

What about the Islamics?

If seven years after they attacked us, the US responds with the election of a historical President who they perceive as their friend, isn't that proof that Jihad is the legitimate course. Allah Akbar?

I think that is why liberals don't like conservatism. Conservatism is the ultimate form of "the strong shall survive". They feel threatened and I am willing to bet most of them can't wrap their small shriveled (shrinkage) brains around the concepts and philosophies conservatism is based on.

Peace Class K-12
By Andre - Jul 24th, 2007 at 4:56 pm EDT

How about creating a "Peace Class" as a recommend in K-12 academics. We could fit it in by interweaving it with American history, wouldn't those two go good together. The peace class would teach kids the importance of doing homework on time, running, reading, exercising, meditating, socializing, getting them involved in a community garden or school garden, and many more issues. If we can start by making a peace class then we would finally be assured that we'll not get a president who grew up watching cowboys n indians(TV), while eating chips n soda(COKE), and then we would be ready to create a Department of Peace, one that employes those most recommended by their teachers, tutors, counselors, and professors. Then when we do that we will make it so that whoever wants to become the president of N.America or any other such position will need to show prof of recommendation from their teachers, tutors, counselors, and professors. We can make this and many more together, starting in your community.

Supercomputer sets record

SAN FRANCISCO: An American military supercomputer, assembled from components originally designed for video game machines, has reached a long-sought-after computing milestone by processing more than 1.026 quadrillion calculations per second.

The new machine is more than twice as fast as the previous fastest supercomputer, the IBM BlueGene/L, which is based at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California.

The new $133 million supercomputer, called Roadrunner in a reference to the state bird of New Mexico, was devised and built by engineers and scientists at IBM and Los Alamos National Laboratory, based in Los Alamos, New Mexico. It will be used principally to solve classified military problems to ensure that the nation's stockpile of nuclear weapons will continue to work correctly as they age. The Roadrunner will simulate the behavior of the weapons in the first fraction of a second during an explosion.

Before it is placed in a classified environment, it will also be used to explore scientific problems like climate change. The greater speed of the Roadrunner will make it possible for scientists to test global climate models with higher accuracy.

Here comes the next wave.

At LGF, Charles Johnson sums up the usual guilt-by-association argument:
By the way, it is absolutely no excuse to say that “anyone can post a blog there.” Barack Obama isn’t running a Blogspot blog, he’s running for president of the United States, and his official web site is full of hatred and antisemitism.
The Obama campaign is right and Charles, Hot Air, Malkin, and the rest of the conservative blogosphere are wrong.
Stories like this win tactical, one-day skirmishes but lose us the broader war. The damage to the Obama campaign will last 24-48 hours, and by then we'll have moved on to the next line of attack. But in the meantime, thousands more people will sign up to My.BarackObama.com.

They'll have moved on because they think nothing sticks. And they're correct in that nothing fazes the disciples, but the group that decides elections, those in the middle, will take notice. Reagan was deemed "The Teflon President" but he saw America as the last, best hope. Obama wants to change that designation, and his cast of supporters, from socialists to communists, from 1968 Yippies to 2008 dupies, from terrorist spokesmen to celebrity fools, is not a foundation upon which those undecideds will find common cause.

Why shouldn't Iran have nuclear weapons?
By Maulayna from El Cerrito, CA - Mar 2nd, 2007 at 3:00 pm EST

I do not understand how Senator Obama can say that Iran does not have the right to nuclear power.

If Israel has nuclear weapons, India has nuclear weapons, Russia and many EU countries have nuclear weapons...what gives the USA the decision making authority in regards to the poliferation of a weapon that NO COUNTRY ON EARTH should or needs to have?

I agree with the Iranian president about ending the development of nuclear weapons period! There is no reason why the US is any more trustworthy than any other country in this regard. After all it is the only country on earth that I am aware of who has actually dropped a WMD on another country.

So Senator Obama...why are you not speaking to the issues of non-poliferation, and brigning an end to nukes in general?

it could be a dance. they are now going to perform the barackobama.
i guess the commentators like saying it like that. i personally don't like it like that or the other way.

I great example of this was when Oprah shouted BARACKOBAMAAAAA during the LA rally.

/57 flavors? Uh, I thought it was 57 states.

57 flavors as in 57 Varieties as in Heinz Ketchup as in Theresa Heinz Kerry as in John Kerry.

Charles, Obama has the NOI in his pocket. Please be careful.

I think Mr. Charles has gotten used to being careful these past years.

Plus he's got his friend, Mr. Mossberg.

People are worthless once they get old. I'm young so I know that all their accumulated wisdom disappears and they just become drains on society or take us to war.
