The idea was to get Barack and Hillary to uncover and use dirt on the other, because the Republicans would get called racist/sexist if they were the first to use the information.

I always thought that Rush was actually pulling for Hillary....that somehow as bad as she was, she at least was light years in front of Obama.

When people were supporting Obama without one real program that he has proposed, one policy on anything that he has actually thought out and won't flip on in the next morning, then you have to worry. Hillary was in many ways a weaker Candidate because she had a voting record, a position that she had taken in the past and that could be attacked.

Hard to attack Obama when no one knew what he stood for. Hard to go against wishes and hopes and change, and all that crap. Rush allowed Hillary to stay competitive and it made a difference in the long run. Lots more people are questioning Obama instead of just admiring him. Now he is the weaker candidate. But if he had wrapped up the nomination a couple of months ago, he would have been a lot stronger.

Since the RNC wouldn't attack the Obamassiah, who better than the Clintons? Nobody slings dirt better than they do. At the time operation chaos was spun up, Hitlery was on the ropes and was close to dropping out; Obama had a magical aura about him that nobody would touch and the MSM was ignoring any negatives. The idea of OC was not to get Hitlery nominated, it was to make sure she stayed viable long enough to knock Obama off his pedestal -- and that worked.
