Daily Kos Spins, Rants, Invents Conspiracies, Calls Us Liars

Mon, Jun 9, 2008 at 7:59:34 am PDT

How pathetic can you get? To retaliate for LGF outing the numerous insane antisemitic registered and approved blogs at the official Barack Obama site, the Daily Kos Kooks go to the John McCain blog and pick out a few anonymous comments to demonstrate... who knows what? Daily Kos: The Little Green Freakshow forgot to check McCain’s site (update).

Oh, and all that antisemitic ranting? It’s “cut-n-paste political sabotage.” Not really anything Obama needs to worry about, according to the furiously spinning Kidz.

Of course, none of them bothers to explain why, if this is all about nothing, the Obama campaign spent so much effort yesterday cleaning up and sanitizing their site — after the hatred had been posted for months.

The Obama campaign has also closed those amateurish open directories this morning; maybe I should send them a consulting bill?

UPDATE at 6/9/08 8:02:34 am:

Notice that most of the lefty blogs doing their best to make excuses won’t even link to LGF. They’re afraid they’ll get those little green cooties on them.

UPDATE at 6/9/08 8:12:43 am:

It’s not surprising that they don’t see the antisemitism at the Obama site. They apparently don’t see it at their own site either.

Look what’s been posted at Daily Kos since May 13: Daily Kos: Eulogy before the Inevitability of Self-Destruction: The Decline and Death of Israel.

  • Comments are open and unmoderated, and do not necessarily reflect the views of Little Green Footballs.
  • Obscene, abusive, silly, or annoying remarks may be deleted, but the fact that particular comments remain on the site in no way constitutes an endorsement of their views by Little Green Footballs.
  • Posts that contain phone numbers, street addresses, email addresses or other personal information will also be deleted, as will posts that consist only of a variation on the word, "First!"
  • Comments that advocate violence will be cause for immediate banning with no appeal.
  • REMEMBER: posting comments at LGF is a privilege, not a right. Abuse that privilege, and your account will be blocked.

Might (only saying "might") be a good idea to do some kind of compare-and-contrast between the candidates' sites. Based, of course, on the material at BHO's site prior to the sanitization.

I know there's no objective yardstick for these kinds of comparisons. And the aim is not to win over the Kidz anyway. The point would be to have something out there for the consideration of those who are basically good-hearted, of sound judgment, and in danger's way if the Kidz spin too craftily.

The ongoing historical link between Leftism + Anti-Semitism:

Before World War II, anti-racism was certainly NOT the mainstay of Leftist doctrine that it is today. Who was it who said: "What is the worldly religion of the Jew? Huckstering. What is his worldly God? Money."? No. It was not Adolf Hitler but Karl Marx himself (Marx, 1844). See Blanchard (1984) for a full discussion of Marx's antisemitism.

And who was it who wrote this? "Not until my fourteenth or fifteenth year did I begin to come across the word 'Jew,' with any frequency, partly in connection with political discussions.... For the Jew was still characterized for me by nothing but his religion, and therefore, on grounds of human tolerance, I maintained my rejection of religious attacks in this case as in others. Consequently, the tone, particularly that of the Viennese anti-Semitic press, seemed to me unworthy of the cultural tradition of a great nation". Some kindly liberal wrote that, no doubt? Some anti-racist? Some Leftist? The sentiments are certainly ones that anti-racists could only applaud, are they not? But those words are actually theAdolf Hitler, writing in "Mein Kampf". words of And we all know what he ended up doing!

And from 1901 to 1966 the Australian government had an official policy known as the "White Australia" policy -- a policy which forbad non-white immigration into Australia. In other words, for most of the time that "slegs blankies" ruled as the guiding policy in South Africa, its English equivalent ("whites only") ruled in Australia too. And who were always the most ardent supporters of that policy? The Australian Labor Party -- Australia's major Leftist party. It was an Australian Labor Party leader (Arthur Calwell) who became famous for his remark that, "Two Wongs don't make a white". The policy was eventually abolished by a conservative government under Harold Holt. So Leftists can be as racist as anyone else if it suits them.

This is the key point: inevitably, on both McCain and Obama's web sites, a minute amount of offensive material will fall through the cracks. That's the price of having an open, accessible online presence, and it's clearly a tradeoff worth making.

There is nothing -- not a single thing -- to suggest that either McCain or Obama themselves embrace any elements of the scurrilous materials that are found on their sites from time to time. And that's really the important thing -- we're not electing a damn website, we're electing a president.

If JedReport (the poster) really believed these two paragraphs are true, he/she would not have posted this thread.

re: #16 ggt Good morning ggt!
What are you confused about? Charles caught the offical Obama Website hosting blogs that were so hateful and despicable it made decent people want to cry.
And as soon as Charles exposed one, some LGFer exposed another and then Charles again and well, you get the idea.
And Obama's website is supposed to be "Moderated"
But apparently the only thing the moderators did was try to wipe the most hateful blogs from the site, even blogs that had been up since '07.
And they didn't like us showing that on OBAMA'S OFFICAL WEBSITE they have a drop down menu of "People" - who support Obama and they had something for everyone exept for White People, Men and the Elderly.
So Kos is now sayiing that LGF "Cut and pasted" (I'm sure they meant "Copied" but who knows with that crowd) all the stuff we posted from Obama's website! You know, all the stuff the Obama Official Website is busy trying to wipe clean.

I know other people took screenshots of the other pages, Charles especially because he knows these things are going to disappear. Today: Iowans in 46 Communities 'Canvass for Change'
Des Moines, IA | October 13, 2007

Senator Barack Obama to Attend Kickoff Event in Des Moines

Des Moines, IA -- Today, Saturday, October 13th, thousands of Obama supporters nationwide will go door-to-door to share Senator Obama's vision to turn the page in Iraq during a nationwide "Canvass for Change." In Iowa, participants will gather in cities across the state to build a movement to change the way Washington works and to end the failed policies in Iraq. Click here for a map of Canvass for Change events in Iowa.

These canvasses come less than two weeks after thousands of Obama supporters paid tribute to Senator Obama's judgment opposing the Iraq War in 2002 at Rallies for Change around the country. Participants will urge Iowans to call on Senator Charles Grassley, Congressman Tom Latham, and Congressman Steve King to join Obama's bipartisan coalition to end the war in Iraq and bring our troops home now.

"A grassroots movement across the country is rallying behind Senator Obama who, as the only candidate who opposed the Iraq War five years ago, has the right judgment to end the war in Iraq," said Obama Iowa Communications Director Josh Earnest. "Iowans in 46 communities are taking to the streets to let their neighbors know that together we can protect America and restore our standing in the world by electing Barack Obama as our next Commander-in-Chief."

re: #5 CmdrGuard

What I want to know is, were all of these hateful pages saved before the Obamatons could go all Orwellian on them?

This stuff needs to be preserved to stop them from denying it ever happened.

Dan Rather will just insist that those screen captures are forgeries.

Not that it's surprising, just one more disturbing thing that they can spend so much time monitoring "enemies of Obamasama" for bad news etc but can't/won't fix their own website until someone they monitor nicely points out fatal flaws in their setup...

Makes ya' wonder what an administration under this guy would be like...

I'm pretty sure they see it. They just figure it's the truth, so there's nothing wrong with leaving it up.

Easy explanation, Barry O has the nomination so his need to pander to the hard left is gone. Its all about steering back to the center for the general election.

Exactly.

And to that purpose, the more he case erase or disappear all his earlier comments about a "diplomatic surge" and "humanitarian disaster" in Iraq, the easier it will be for him to play himself as a centrist.

The problem with the Jew-hating blogs on the Obama site isn't their mere presence, its their ABUNDANCE.

To give the benefit of the doubt, it is kind of hard to register on this site. He might have just not yet had the chance to. I certainly was a reader long before I managed to catch an open registration period.

Right now, out of the 4155 people browsing the site, 261 are logged in.

So... is Kestral a moron? Yeah. Is he a coward? Not necessarily.

I thought you had to be registered to rate comments? If that is the case it is likely a Koslim just trying to antoganize Lizards. Kestral is most certainly a coward.

The Kos Kidz have gotten worse. Apparently, according to some liberal blogs I've seen, they've done a hell of a job of chasing out anyone who questions Il Duce II. It also seems that these same people are intent on taking over other liberal blogs and chasing out any bit of sanity left in them.

The Kos "echo chamber" effect is why they are so deranged, and why they've gone 1 for 25 (or whatever the current number) in picking candidates.

That site is mass hysteria. . .they could convince themselves the sky is green.

As far as they're concerned this never happened and therefore there is no lesson to be learned. Expect more antisemitic ranting on lefty sites in the near future.

Uh, let's not get too carried away here, ok? Obama is an empty suit - no real accomplishments in his life since he graduated law school, except he worked hard enough for the Chicago Dem Machine that they let him run for State Senator. Then they let him run for US Senator.
But what has he done in either postion?

Patterico does not see the big deal with the exposure of the anti-semitism and 9/11 troofers.

He pretty well adopted the KosKiddie excuse that these pages do not represent the real viewpoints of the Obama campaign since anyone can post there and he claims no official review was apparently needed.

I guess he missed the point that these aren't unmoderated comments but sites that according to the specifics of the Obama site require registration and approval before being posted. In an update, he does acknowledge

OK, here’s the best argument I’ve heard contra my position: Obama’s campaign, having raked in $300 million, could spend $50,000 to have someone police this stuff. Not a bad point.

There's no way to spin this. This is a view into several major issues with the Obama campaign. The moderators that they had either found nothing to fault with the viewpoints expressed or were ignorant in how to perform their jobs. What other issues and tasks are their views that out of whack with middle America and how else will their inexperience damage the country?

With Obama's history of association, friendships, and churchgoing with rabid anti-Americans this is just another element of the pattern that this person, and his supporters, do not like the country or what it stands for very much. This is change in the same manner that Lenin and Mao called for change.
