36 SonOfLiberty  Mon, Jun 9, 2008 3:57:13pm

"The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he did not exist. And like that... he is gone."

This is even better if you take the original French manuscript by Baudelaire...

Translated:

"He did not complain in any way about the bad reputation he enjoyed all over the world, assured me that he himself was the person the most interested in the destruction of superstition, and admitted to me that he had only been afraid for his own power one time, and that was the day when he had heard a preacher, more subtle than his colleagues, shout out from the pulpit:

"My dear brothers, never forget, when you hear the progress of enlightenment vaunted, that the devil's best trick is to persuade you that he doesn't exist!"

It is fun to watch these creepy posts being quietly removed from view. It makes a person wonder why they need to be highlighted here in order for the site administrators to take action. Perhaps they don't find them to be hateful or bigoted at all..... just mainstream thinking wherever the libtards hang out.

Maybe it would be best to let these kooks post on Obama's website so that all of the world can see how sick and depraved the left is these days.

Obama Speaking at AIPAC

Remember how he stopped wearing his American flag lapel pin after 9/11?
Because he "wasn't sure he liked what it stood for"? Well take a peak at the one he's wearing at the above event.

It's a duel flag pin. Half American flag, half Israel. So he will sometimes where a flag pin. depending, of course, on who he's pandering too.

Okay, here's absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, the best one yet.

Are you ready, think you can handle it?

Are you sure? Okay then, here goes.

Make your webmaster your campaign manager
By Paul from Louisville, KY - Aug 3rd, 2007 at 10:37 pm EDT

You have one of the best websites as far as logical structure and operation. Its just too bad that either Obama or his campaign manager is a complete idiot. I had so much hope for him and now he is babbling about starting wars in Afgan. and trying to appear as some kind of hawk. Thats for the general election you idiot. "I wouldn't use nuclear weapons until I decided I would"

The only thing he has accomplished is to look stupid and piss off his base including me. I hope he can recover from this because he is our only hope for a new America, at least until someone puts acid in the drinking water and they all vote for Kucinich, my real first choice.

What is he thinking? HIllary stomped his butt on that one question about visiting the "evil empire." Jesus didn't he learn anything?

So here's my suggestion. Fire your campaign manager and hire your webmaster. There is no comparison in who has the most expertise in strategy. or just throw in the towel to Hillary... As Mcglophlin said, "Bye Bye!"

/beyond parody

77 shibumi  Mon, Jun 9, 2008 4:03:07pm

Have you seen this...

Hi, my name is Joe Rospars. I'm the New Media Director here at Obama for America. As we build out the team, I'm also going to be blogging here about the campaign, the evolution of the web site, and anything else you want

*General talking points*

This site -- and this campaign in general -- will always be a work in progress. We're going to experiment, we're going to try new things. Sometimes it will inevitably be a little rough around the edges, for sure, but that's the risk we're going to have to take if we're going to run this campaign in a new way.

Are the anti-abortion crowd going to vote for him? Um...no.

Are Hillary's frothing supporters going to help him ascend to the Presidency, knowing he stole it from her? No again.

So I'd respectfully disagree with Mr. Will.

re: #356 Bob in Breckenridge

Actually, Levin got that from Rush, who played it earlier this afternoon on his show, and Rush said his people edited out the crowd noise.

Not according to Rush. (and I meant that Levin is the best overall). I think Rush turned down the sound on the "breathalizer" sound bite. (ed. not the "costs" one below)

OBAMA: What they'll say is, "Well it costs too much money," but you know what? It would cost, about... It -- it -- it would cost about the same as what we would spend... It... Over the course of 10 years it would cost what it would costs us... (nervous laugh) Alright. Okay. We're going to... It... It would cost us about the same as it would cost for about -- hold on one second. I can't hear myself. But I'm glad you're fired up, though. I'm glad.

RUSH: Nobody was saying a word. There was no cheering; there was no fainting. There was just disbelief. I have warned you people several times, you get this guy away from the teleprompter and the David Axelrod written speeches. This guy doesn't even write his own speeches. Mario Cuomo and Malcolm X write these, but the bottom line is, you get this guy away from them, and I don't care, he blames it on lack of sleep. Hey, get used to it, man, you want to be president.

Ok that I 100% agree with (and stated a couple posts back). that makes complete sense.

I think its the difference between the Primary & the General Election more than anything else. We can expect to see all of Obama's insane Leftist/Marxist drech be "erased" and "flip-flopped" now that he has to pretend to be a "centrist". See the "middle ground" on the Left (let's call it Seattle) is much further over to the West than the "middle ground" in the entire Country (let's call it Missouri).

There is your CHANGE. (Policy change!)

Actually, let me reconsider ... maybe I will say Obama will not crush McCain, even if he should manage to win. Any crush will necessarily go the other way. The electoral math doesn't add up in Obama's favor. No way he wins FL, he'll lose OH, and he may well lose PA and MI.

Joe Rospars is a founding member of Blue State Digital

A former employee of Blue State Digital, Philip de Vellis, admitted to having created a widely-circulated video, Hillary 1984 , that edited clips from Hillary Clinton campaign videos into the famous 1984 television advertisement by Apple Inc. In a blog entry posted on The Huffington Post, de Vellis indicated that he had resigned from Blue State Digital.[1] The company later released a statement claiming that they had terminated his employment. Mr. de Vellis stated in an interview with the Associated Press that he had created the video from home and that Blue State Digital had nothing to do with its creation.[citation needed]

The Barack Obama campaign released a statement on the news, stating: "The Obama campaign or its employees had no knowledge and had nothing to do with the creation of the ad. We were notified this evening by a vendor of ours, Blue State Digital, that an employee of the company had been involved in the making of this ad. Blue State Digital has separated ties with this individual and we have been assured he did no work on our campaign's account."

However, de Vellis has claimed that he helped design the Obama website [2]. And de Vellis lived with Senator Obama's press secretary in 2006 [3] while they were both working on Sherrod Brown's campaign for Senate.

George Will is a weenie. He doesn't speak for conservatives outside the country club mentality.

Conservatives that turn wrenches and hammer nails aren't going to vote for a communist like BHO.

And if you haven't got the nail-drivers and wrench-turners you don't have America.

That post went into my very exclusive "Favorites" file.

An equivalent to a handshake. Or more correctly, the hand slap that is described as "giving someone five." Except the hands are in a fist and not palm to palm. The two parties bump fists in a manner reminisent of the Wonder Twins, activating their powers.

From FastCompany Online, 5th Annual Fast 50:
From Blue State Digital
"Politics is about to get even more local. In the 2008 elections, candidates will use global-positioning systems and mapping technology to target voters in key states, block by block. They'll send SMS messages urging supporters to donate money. And they'll buy Google key words to find constituents. You'll even have "Governor Tom Vilsack blogging from his BlackBerry while running across a field in Iowa," says Clay Johnson, cofounder of Blue State Digital, a consultancy that helps incorporate Web technology into lefty campaign strategies. Blue State was started in 2004 by Johnson, Joe Rospars, Jascha Franklin-Hodge, and Ben Self, veterans of the groundbreaking Internet component of Howard Dean's disintegrating Oval Office run. "Wal-Mart has a record of every transaction of every customer," says Johnson. That's "something that all political organizations are working on. Knowing who's a Democrat and where they are and integrating mapping technology so you can give a precinct captain a list of where to walk around a neighborhood and whose door to knock on--that's the future." For both parties, we're guessing.

To me this is really scary. Big Brother.
It is now the Obama site.

They can't keep up with all the loons. Statistics show that between 20 and 25% of the US population suffers from some form of mental illness. Most of them are posting on Obama's page. The Obama campaign would have to import IT workers from India to even contemplate keeping up with that amount of lunacy. This will be here for the entire general election, and eventually work its way into the MSM, unless they close down the page.

I bet Barack can't make this comment go down the memory hole!

Great analysis by Kyle-Anne Shiver regarding Barack Obama's fund-raising technique and the machinations behind it can be found at National Review.

That explains a lot. But some things remain unexplained...

Barack Obama could be our next president. Or could he? What happens if he's not even an American citizen?

I think somebody really needs to push BO about this. After all, as a presidential candidate, he should have nothing to hide. Make him authorize his state to release his birth certificate, with any particularly private information blacked out.

Obama's website down again?

Yes. At the rate they're deleting posts, down to one page.

I usually enjoy George Will, but he he has a constant gripe about McCain-Feingold and its limitations on freedom of political speech. I'm sure he has no wish to see McCain as President.

I agree with Will mostly on McCain-Feingold, but I don't plan to throw the USA under the bus by not voting for McCain. An Obama win is just too scary to contemplate!

The funny thing is, after years of loathing Hillary, I found myself up at night cheering her on through every primary. I received no pleasure from the fact that the MSM did to her what they usually do to us.

I think we should post a "Why vote for McCain" on Obama's site. Put it up so it looks like it's anti-McCain, but then write it so that it supports McCain.
