RetweetThe Corrupt Associates Keep Popping Up

Tue, Jun 10, 2008 at 9:49:08 am PDT

Another corrupt associate of Barack Obama’s, Jim Johnson, is heading up his VP selection committee. And now that he’s been exposed, Obama claims that Johnson is only “tangentially related” to the campaign.

Head of the vice presidential selection committee—only tangentially related. Rrriiight. How long before Johnson goes under the bus?

The bus is in for maintenance after hitting too many reality bumps.
As soon as it is back in service they will take care of the back-log of problems that Barry " would not separate from", until, well, it served him.

This will wear on even the liberal press at some point in time. Obama's responses are inappropriate and repetitive. "McCain did it first" and then pointing out some BS is not adequate. McCain bought into this for a while. Threw Hagee to the lions without ever asking Hagee if the allegations that he was anti-Catholic are true (he runs a charity for retired nuns, to thank them for their service). But now tgis grows tiresome, and McCain realizes he has been had by a Clintonesque team of liars and dissemblers.

The third rule of the Chicago Rules of Politics is that more money you give to the Chicago Machine the better.

From the link:

Ultimately, our assumption is that you will hire people for “discrete tasks” in your administration in the same way you hire them for your campaign. Ultimately, we assume that when you complain about others with connections to subprime lenders and corruption that you will avoid those connections yourself. Otherwise, we assume you are a hypocrite who spouts off about “hope and change” as a way to distract people from the fact that you have no experience for the job you seek.

NRO has a nice summary of what BHO said about said profession and those who work for companies like Countryside. It's not what Johnson did, it's what Obama said about the profession before hiring said person.

They also had an item yesterday, titled "dumb and dumber". First was a quote by McCain on saying the gas tax holiday would help. Then a quote by Obama on going after big oil.

What's amazing to me is the pattern these disavowals always follow. First Obama defends the person's integrity, then he says he had no idea about their indiscretion, then he claims their relationship is distant. Only after weeks or months of stalling does he finally fling the person under the very crowded bus. If I were in his position (and I wouldn't be, because my associates are pure as the driven snow), I would do the bus fling immediately. It cuts the cycle short and it fades from memory much more quickly.

Barack HUSSEIN Obama is becoming brazen, with his associates, after all, with Chris Mathews having tingles down his legs, there is no association now which can harm Hussein's popularity, because there is such a deception surrounding Hussein, that the deceived can't be reached.

There will be even more unreal associations with Hussein, but because of the deception, it won't affect Obama in the slightest, in fact, if Hussein were found out to be the son of Bin Laden, it wouldn't change the deceived minds.

John McCain has never been a parishoner of John Hagee's Church.

Barack Hussein Obama was a member of Wrights "church" for over 20 years.

John McCain has to distance himself from a pastor who he didn't even attend his Church, and Barack Hussein Obama gets a free pass, when the facts clearly show that Wright truly was Obama's spiritual advisor, and preacher, for over 20 years.

Unreal.

I would have to hire the vetter to vet the vetters. I mean at some point, we just asked people to do their assignments. Jim Johnson has a very discrete task, as does Eric Holder, and that is simply to gather up information about potential vice presidential candidates. They’re performing that job well. It’s a volunteer, unpaid position.

Considering the $12 million he made last year, let's hope he's willing to do this as a volunteer!

In 1991, he moved to Fannie Mae, serving as CEO of the mortgage-guarantee behemoth for most of the Clinton administration. He later became vice-chairman of Perseus LLC, a private banking firm, and joined the boards of Goldman Sachs, Gannett Co. Inc., and United Health Group, among other high-profile companies.

Republic, another thing they did in 2004 was going through nursing homes with absentee ballots and filling them out for Kerry, then having the patients sign them.

This isn't an urban myth. I heard it from the daughter and son-in-law of one who they did it to in Eau Claire, Wisc. But in true Republican fashion, they said "yeah, that's bad of them to do that", but didn't do any follow-up to stop the act.

Illinois is America's Nursing home Capitol and virtually all of them have a Democrat politician with an ownership interest.

Yep, and they pull this bullshit every election. Very common in Cook County. They also bus seniors to the polls and give them ballots that are already filled out to cast. And if the ballots are not to their liking, they remove them to some south side warehouse for later disposal.

Here's a new one, but shows what we are up against. I talked to a retired railroader recently. These guys get a very nice pension via Railroad Retirement. Many of these guys are old style Democrats...the kind that may vote for McCain over Obama. So the union bosses are telling the retirees is that McCain wants to seize the railroad retirement fund and spend on the money. So they will lose their pension.

It sounds ridiculous, but when an 80 year-old hears this, it plants some doubt in his mind about McCain,

I didn't used to think this but now I firmly believe that the top leadership of unions, all unions, are old style communists. I belong to a couple of them, as a matter of necessity. They print voter information sheets. I nearly always invert them 180 degrees.

It is then that all but the most fanatical true believers will decide to vote for McCain (or at least vote for some third).

I think that's what Hillary was banking on -- the association, at least; the tantrum would be bonus. I agree he is very thin-skinned and I won't be at all surprised to see an outburst worthy of a preschooler. Whether that's enough to turn off a lot of his voters remains to be seen.

With each passing day, it seems more and more evident that this character simply does not have the brains or the competence to have reached his present position on his own. Nor the financiel resources or access thereto.

It may then be postulated that some other person or consortium of persons are behind the curtain pulling his strings. Person or persons with lots and lots of money and very shrewd -- though perhaps not shrewd enough.

That is: Obama himself was chosen to be the marionette candidate to advance some private agenda.

But that some one else was not smart enough in choosing the marionettemaking a choice. He is turnin out to be too big a fool to fool all of the people . . .

Just that he's a politician that says whatever is politically expedient at the time.

The tag of "new politician unlike the others" is false on its face. No "change and hope" here, just the sale old bulls@#$.

By the way, I don't fault politicians for lying, per se. . .there is a certain amount of evasiveness and artifice that is necessary to be effective at public office.

But I do fault politicians for telling unnecessary lies, or stupid implausible lies to cover up personal faults or mistakes.

This bit about Johnson not being an Obama employee falls into the latter category.
