Obama Supporters: 'Are These Blogs Being Moderated at All? What Gives?'

Tue, Jun 10, 2008 at 8:59:58 pm PDT

Barack Obama supporters at my.barackobama.com are starting to get upset about the lack of concern shown by the site’s administrators for the insane antisemitic and anti-American blogs all over the site: Barack Obama : : Change We Can Believe In | Michael Pugliese’s Blog: Right-Wing Bloggers on mybarackobama.com blogs.

The opposition has noted, numerous blogs here that do not advance our cause of electing Obama, expanding the # of Democrats in the House and Senate, or advance the cause of Middle East peace and justice or responsible withdrawal from Iraq.

Here are a lot of blog posts here that still need to be yanked as they present extremist pov’s around the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, the “Jewish Lobby, ” and 9-11. As a gentile (and as one who knew workers in one of the WTC towers), this is appalling.

Maybe the My.Barackobama.com website is being administered in Malaysia by outsourced IT, and they don't see anything wrong with these views.

This article runs in the current issue of Washington Report For Middle East Affairs and appears here by permission.

While on the name "Emmanuel" check out this jerk's blog series on John McCain at MyBarackObama.com.

He posted it today. Those Obamatons have been deleting entries all dy, so this must have survived the "purity" test.

Includes:

John McCain's infamous temper has been wildly underreported in the media. For instance: The beautiful young woman who is presented to the media as his daughter is really an actress - McCain beat his real daughter to death when she was two and crying with hunger (the McCains do not believe in pampering the young by feeding them). McCain hates children and will not permit any such "stupid mewling whelps" anywhere near him.

And

A long time friend of mobster John Gotti, McCain still receives a pension from the Mafia. He holds seven different bank accounts under different names, into which his various bribes are deposited. He also receives regular payment from the Iranian Supreme Council of Ayotollahs, and is frequently heard to mutter "Blessblessbless, blessbless Iran!" under his breath when he thinks no one can hear him.

And

As a Prisoner of War, McCain was subjected to the secret sexual brainwashing techinques of the Viet Cong; day and night he was subjected to male rape, until he begged for more. this sex addiction was enhanced through the use of various narcotics, especially hashish and heroin. After his spirit had thus been broken, the VC brought in an Iranian Imam who carefully educated McCain in the ways of the cult of Islamo-Marxism, which teaches an Allah-centered faith in the necessity for global revolution led by a totalitarian elite acquiring power through long-term, dedicated subversion of opponent governments like that of America. McCain released to the US thus became an embedded mole a real Manchurian candidate, doing anything, saying anything, to become President. Once he takes the oath of office, he will devastate the economy and set up a socialist dictatorship.

These assertions are all intended to be "funny" no doubt and to point out how dull we all are if we take them seriously.

Is there a downside?

Its a situation that sort of resembles Gatesofviennagate. Is it worth it to enlist vile allies? Charles made the best choice by sticking to principles. Now Obama gets his turn to either clean house or plug his nose and try to hold together a disjointed coalition of people that hate each other but also have a common enemy with him.

I say he'll do the politically expedient thing and try to keep everyone under the tent by blaming the whole kerfuffle on the common enemy. To him, its just a numbers game.

If you want to mine myBO here is a sample query for google.

McCain allah site:barackobama.com daterange:2454626-2454628

The site: keyword limits the search to myBO

The daterange: keyword limits the search to a date range expressed in julian days.

Go here to have the navy calculate a julian date for you: [Link: aa.usno.navy.mil...]

The sample search looks for any post at myBO that contained "McCain" and "allah" posted today (the daterange starts and ends with today in julian notation).

Happy hunting.

re: #56 DesertSage

Sage, Sage ... Sage.

One of the first things I noticed with the Gallup poll is the lack of undecided. All voter have not decided five months before an election so the pollster must have framed the question as an either-or with no undecided option. Also missing are third parties.

Secondly, Obama and McCain have been tracking nicely until the past few days during which Obama received unbelievably positive attention in the MSM. This will change. Today's high Obama number is the best he's done against McCain since the head-to-head poll started.

Thirdly, it is a five day rolling average. It takes about three days for bad or good news to be fully reflected in the poll. Just wait.

Fourthly, Gallup rightly polls both landline and cell phones. In this election, this may mean over-polling kids who don't vote.

Fifthly, Gallup polls registered, not likely voters. "Likely" is another screen added to registered and is thus much more accurate. Generally, likely voters are two or three percent more Rep than registered voters.

Sixthly, NO poll in June has shown Republicans winning however in the last ten presidential elections, Republicans have won seven.

Seventhly, Gallup has been very inaccurate with the state primaries/caucuses this year which suggests their general election numbers are also incorrect.

Eighthly, None know what the uptick in Democratic registration means ... or that of Democratic ID. In past elections, Dem ID has always been far greater than Dem vote. Since they "balance" their polls with pre-determined opinions on how the D - I - R should be weighted, it is always interesting to see what they believe the R percentage will be. Historically they have underestimated R turnout and overestimated D turnout. I'm not paying for the premium Gallup access so I have no idea what the "internals" may show.

And ninthly, kids really don't vote, particularly college kids. In every election the Dems claim the youth vote for their own -- but they don't show. They'll work for minimum wage for campaigns, but free labor and time is beyond them. Thus, the vaunted youth vote -- which Gallup may be overestimating -- is myth.

Okay, that's enough. Sorry for the rant.

At this point, there will be few committed going to undecided. It will be like flipping a switch for the vast majority. The key to the election is knowing where to find which switches to switch.

I wonder if they'll delete one of my personal favorites, Peace Class K-12?

How about creating a "Peace Class" as a recommend in K-12 academics. We could fit it in by interweaving it with American history, wouldn't those two go good together. The peace class would teach kids the importance of doing homework on time, running, reading, exercising, meditating, socializing, getting them involved in a community garden or school garden, and many more issues. If we can start by making a peace class then we would finally be assured that we'll not get a president who grew up watching cowboys n indians(TV), while eating chips n soda(COKE), and then we would be ready to create a Department of Peace, one that employes those most recommended by their teachers, tutors, counselors, and professors. Then when we do that we will make it so that whoever wants to become the president of N.America or any other such position will need to show prof of recommendation from their teachers, tutors, counselors, and professors. We can make this and many more together, starting in your community.

/probably not, I doubt they see the moonbat humor and total insanity of the concept

I had expected that real people in the Dem party would begin to assert themselves on the blog issue once the initial flush of denialism and drug-culture conspiracy theories had passed. Good on them.

Considering the Obama campaign's lack of compunction about throwing people under the proverbial bus, it is remarkable that they seem so stubborn, almost defiant, about hanging onto these crazy blog elements.

Perhaps the crazies are the real heart of Obamania and they cannot be tossed overboard without unraveling the whole campaign?

If so, it may already be too late to make any worthwhile changes and we can expect a lot of Democratic voters to cross over to McCain. This is something the dogmatic McCain bashers on the far right might want to ponder. McCain can attract moderate liberal voters, while Obama has no chance of bringing over anyone who could be called conservative by any reasonable definition. In fact, he seems less and less likely to hang onto any moderate liberals.

Certainly McCain has Florida in the bag, a huge plus so early in the campaign, since any Florida Dem who is not a far-gone Marxist kool-aid drinker is going to be outraged at the DNC's slave-census solution to the Florida/Michigan primary issue.
We already see this in the defection of big-time Jewish Democrats in Florida, about which I posted earlier.

Again, I will go out on a limb and predict that Obama will suffer a defeat of historic proportions in November. Among other things, his unstinting media support may start to work against him as media pundits become more and more transparent in their growing desperation.

Hi Grumpy,

Gallup pushes people into making political decisions that are not quite real. So their percentage of undecideds is quite low. Most other polls have the undecided higher.

If I was to hazard a guess, I'd say that about 14-18 percent of Americans can be swayed at this point. And yes, this is our target. Although we may not like it, McCain's liberalism appeals to them. The outlook may be pretty good.

There is a bomb on board that threatens to put a "hole in the world". (pick your favorite Obama policy that will destroy our national security or economy)

The bomb was put there by a madman. (Wright, Pflager, Ayers, Farrakhan, et al.)

The good guys are borderline powerless to stop it. (McCain running behind)

If it slows below 55 mph, it explodes (kind of a metaphor for the whole "Quick-make-Obama-President-before-everyone-finds -out-he's a-liberal-wack-job" bit)

People that end up under the bus are either really or figuratively dead...

The Democratic party is a coalition of broken wings and social strays. Its not like there's a neat line between the crazies and the rest of them -- its more like a continuum into weirdness. So cutting off what we would consider the crazies is sorta like drawing an artificial line to them for what exists on either side of that line looks remarkably the same.

Is 'Obamatons' or 'Obamatrons"? I've seen it written both ways.

Well, an "Obamaton" is a mindless drone without free will, that unquestioningly follows Obama. Think "automaton".

OTOH, an "Obamatron" is a Transformer type robot that morphs from a pro-American democrat to an anti-American socialist, and back again, depending on which form best suits it's immediate needs.

Lord Kirel, I like your analysis. May it be truth. Our lives may depend upon it.

We need to remember that Thomas Dewey was expected to win the 1948 election. Truman basically worked his butt off to snatch a victory from the jaws of an expected defeat.

We're can't simply assume that Obama is going to be defeated this year. We are going to have to work for it.

Those of us who end up in the conservative camp, by conviction or by default, know damned well that he or she is fallible, that is capable of making a mistake. As a result each of us make the effort to obtain all the valid information possible and to separate truth from falsehood.

But the folks on the other side see themselves as perfect, superior, or infallible. They don't bother to make the effort to see the truth because they feel that they already know the truth. Thus they stumble about from screw-up to screw-up. And they are utterly mystified as to why we won't willingly follow them into the hole.

Has anyone checked to see if there are any (and how many) common poster handles between MyBO, Kos, DU and other leftist sites?

Interesting that “groups” must be approved.

This means that someone in the BO organization approved the groups that left log-piles, skid marks and basic stink all over My BO. They left this stuff on the MyBO website for months.

I wonder how BHO will spin his way out of this.

Further, I wonder if Hillary’s delegates really will vote for BHO. I suspect that with enough publicity, the DNC will have a meeting or two, with the aim of fixing things. I doubt that this stink is easily fixable.

I think that with enough publicity, very many Americans will wake up and vote, and not for BHO.

But the publicity has to happen, and McCain has to talk to these BHO waek points.

This is really interesting ... essentially, are you saying that because we have a "negative anthropology" (or a jaded view of human nature), that we're humbed and chided by what we know are human sins and frailties? And, conversely, that liberals, because they have such an elevated view of human nature -- one that admits no limitations or intrinsic evil -- that they are simply incapable of judging themselves harshly?

Thinking here ...

I think Charles is right in asserting that the MyBO blog will keep producing fruit all the way up to election day.

For grins I queried up today's posts with "impeach" in them.

Here is a sample:

Post from Mike's Blog:
IMPEACH THE CRIMINALS!
By Allen The Extreme Norfolk, VA Navy Sailor. Really Proud member of the Barack Obama/American People Party! - Jun 10th, 2008 at 1:21 am EDT

Thank you Dennis Kuchinich for bringing up 35 articles of impeachment against Bush!

Hopefully the House acts upon this before it's too late!

Call your congressmen, senators, representatives, and tell them to do their job for the American people and uphold the Constitution by supporting to impeach Bush!

And a little over half an hour ago some guy commented the post with this:

By Jason from Norman, OK 36 minutes ago
I have not heard anything from Obama that made me question if he was right for the job until now. The fact that he does not support impeachment of Bush and Cheney does not sit well with me to say the least. I was compelled to vote for Obama and have been a stedfast supporter of Obama since Iowa.
I really Believe in his campaign for change As a key demographic to this campaign (working class white male) I am saddened by Obama's lack of backbone here no President in history deserves to be impeached more the Bush administration this goes especially for Dick Cheney they should not only be impeached but tried as war criminals for 4000 plus murders! For misleading the American Public and dragging us into a War. I bet Cheney would not be so quick to say and I quote SO. to the 4000 plus families who have lost a family member to this war that was brought to the American Public on a foundation of LIES. While these fine soldiers are fighting a war they themselves do not support their families back home are losing everything they have due to recession caused by the war and the policies brought on by this administration there a thousands of families that have lost their members to this war based on lies, but how many thousands wounded or are mentally ill and need help from post traumatic stress. It has been proven that this administration does not care for the well being of its soldiers because The Bush administration values Oil over blood. And Why Not? it is not their blood. In Washington how can we believe in change if no one is willing to stand up for us and say this is WRONG and YOU CANT DO IT. I applaud and whole heartedly agree with Kucinich we need to let them know they are not above the law. I am sure they think they are above the law. Doing nothing in the face of such evils is wrong! We need to reinstate the Constitution fo the United Steates of America and Habeus Corpus and hold accountable anyone (even the president or vice president)who tries to repeal our rights! Barack Obama we need you to be our voice and fight for us What is the point of voting if there is no change in sight. YES WE CAN

MyBO needs to be exposed as Koolaide central for a irrational political movement that shares few of the values of typical Americans. Obama has labeled himself as a uniter for change, but this is all the same old partisan crap from mindless leftist revolutionary wannabees.

No need for Mobys. Obama has handed them a microphone. Let them talk, and turn up the amp so everyone can hear. Get the word out, email the links. Obama = dKos in 30 days. And we know how dKos does at election time.

We need to remember that Thomas Dewey was expected to win the 1948 election. Truman basically worked his butt off to snatch a victory from the jaws of an expected defeat.

We're can't simply assume that Obama is going to be defeated this year. We are going to have to work for it.

Where did I assume that this will happen with no effort, or that GOP supporters can afford to be complacent. What I did assume is that McCain will work very hard at this. He proved that with his near miraculous comeback during the primary season. Remember a year ago? The McCain campaign was a joke, with no money in the till and their man already dismissed as a loser next to the various GOP front-runners. Today, he is the nominee.

Actually, the same kind of "conventional wisdom" that favored Dewey in 1948 favors Obama today. He is the unstoppable fresh face of media politics, the new JFK. I think he is flash in the pan and the Dems will bitterly regret passing over the ruthless and experienced Hillary Clinton to nominate him.

Will Iran Give Hezbollah A Nuke?

Iran's supreme leader proclaims Tehran isn't interested in nuclear weapons itself but that someday terrorists will have such weapons. We'll need more than Barack Obama's doublespeak to stop them.

The U.S. and the European Union this week announced tentative plans to ratchet up economic sanctions against Iran for refusing to halt its uranium enrichment program.

It's a pretty tough move, one spearheaded by President Bush, that will grab Iran's attention. It also appears to be a preparatory step to a possible military strike against Iran if it refuses to stop its nuclear weapons program.

That's one way to deal with a dangerous rogue state. Obama has another.

If a President Obama ever gets to conduct his "aggressive personal diplomacy" with Iran, it will present the world with an interesting dialogue in which leaders of both countries are talking out of both sides of their mouths.

No the Second Amendment isn't going anywhere. True.

However, they can regulate firearms into oblivion. They can tax the hell out of them. They can pass assault weapons bans that just happen to include anything other than a .22 or a 12-guage break open. Look how hard it has been to challenge firearm regulations, with only now a case going to the U.S. Supremes.

Obama would immedietly craft "assult weapons" legislation, and they would word it so loosly, that it can encompass nearly every firearm.

Are you not aware of the very real battles, currently going on in many states, where the legislation is about as close to an outright ban on all firearms, and how close these votes are?

I won't give up my firearms Bob, under no circumstances other than death.

That is exactly the kind of thinking the Democrats want, "we don't want to take your firearms away", while they constntly craft legislation to do exactly that.

Then why don't they ever vote to strengthen 2nd Amendment rights, and more harshly prosecute criminals?

Don't get carried away. Get a grip. Some of you sound as if all BHO needs is to get elected and the 2nd amendment is history. Do you know how difficult it would be? Read the Constitution. It's not going to happen.

Hey, how 'bout that John C. Stennis service of yours, you filthy liar?

re: #302 republic

The only salvation of Obama attacking gun owners with vigor would be that he would be a one-term wonder.

You're probably right, VB. Just think of the obsession with youth that has characterized the contemporary Dem party since 1967 or so.

It raised its agist head with President Kennedy, but only came into fruition with the Boomers (no offence to those here who are).

Its always about the youth vote. Older people don't matter.

A combination of conservative mindset and the decrepit future of their bodies.

Nobody served on the USS Stennis in 1982, because it didn't exist.

===

On March 13 1991, the keel for John C. Stennis was laid. The ship is named in honor of John Cornelius Stennis of Mississippi who served in the Senate from 1947 to 1989. No previous ships have borne this name.

On Veteran’s Day, November 11, 1993, nuclear-powered John C. Stennis (CVN 74) was christened at Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company with Vice President Albert Gore as the ceremony’s principal speaker. Mrs. Margaret Stennis-Womble, daughter of the ship’s namesake, also attended as the ship’s sponsor.

USS John C. Stennis was commissioned on December 9, 1995 at Naval Station Norfolk, Va.

...As we know, his mother's given name is Stanley, a really twisted and rotten name to give a girl. What if, at the time of her son's birth, she was still so angry and bitter about her father naming her Stanley that she decided to take it out on her son?

What if his birth certificate shows that his real (given) name is not Barack, or even Barry, but is instead Barbara? What if his middle name is not actually Hussein, but is instead Harriet, or Helga?

I will advise that it was pat that claimed that his son was born in 1982 while he was in port on the USS Stennis at Polyarnyy in the Mermansk region of Russia.

That raised a lot of questions from me in various ways. First was the name of Stennis. I already knew that the USS Stennis was a carrier.

I also knew that Polyarnyy at that time was pretty much exclusively a sub base, mostly nuke subs.

And I also knew that it would be easy for someone to affiliate with information disseminated in the movie The Hunt for Red October.

The claimed timeframe of 1982 was right in the midst of what was termed the "Second Cold War", a reintensifation of hostilities sustained since the 1940's between Russia and the US.

The chance of a free US ship at Polyarnyy in 1982 was less than zero, unless it had been salvaged by the Russian Navy. But I was pretty sure that Stennis could't be a sub, because the US doesn't immediately recommission names of retired or lost vessels.

Anyway, a short story made long. Sorry for the babble.

I strangled a couple of KGB goons in Haiphong and stole their boat, then paddled out to sea until I met a luxury yacht owned by a beautiful heiress from Hong Kong. I seduced her, too, and got her to take me to Cam Rahn Bay, where she was promptly arrested for not having a visa for SVN. Fortunately, I used my influence with President Nixon to get her released. I have to disagree with you Charles. It is not amazing at all.

Damn, that really describes my moonbat ex to a tee!

Here is a search for the word "Stennis" on LGF.

We'll see who said what.

378 MajorPribluda  Tue, Jun 10, 2008 11:23:23pm

Wrap-up of Dave Johnson's blog comments:
Here's my post over there:

Dave Johnson said:
"In this case I'd say blatant racism and Muslim eliminationism [define the far right]."
Look, at LGF, those two pernicious attitudes are deleted as soon as possible, and earn a permanent ban for the poster. Wherever you are finding this sort of stuff, it's not LGF.
So here are some easy, direct questions, numbered for your convenience:
1. Are you calling Charles Johnson a racist?

2. Are you calling Charles Johnson a "Muslim eliminationist" (whatever that means)?

3. Are you calling any LGF commenter a racist?

4. Are you calling any LGF commenter a "Muslim eliminationist"?

If your answer to any of these questions is "yes", then can you please provide a shred of evidence?

Posted by: MajorPribluda at June 10, 2008 6:03 PM

Then:

In this case I'd say blatant racism and Muslim eliminationism.

-------------

You HAVE been drinking the Kool-Aid. Please point me to the thread then I would be happy to debate you like a gentleman.

Posted by: Michael at June 10, 2008 6:21 PM

Then:

"In this case I'd say blatant racism and Muslim eliminationism."

Come on, Dave! Don't you have anything better to offer than lies, smears, conspiracy theories and insults for an argument?

You know- like an actual argument? We'll wait.

Posted by: Sharmuta [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 10, 2008 6:33 PM

Then:

"In this case I'd say blatant racism and Muslim eliminationism.
Posted by: Dave Johnson"

Dave, please point to A SINGLE post by Charles Johnson at LGF that contains even subtle racism much less "blatant racism," and while you're at it please point to a SINGLE LGF post OR comment at LGF that contains "Muslim eliminationism." Otherwise, your description of LGF is nothing but hot air.

You obviously know nothing about the site, you just believe the baseless smears against it, generally spread by far-left extremists and/or by Islamic fundamentalists and its sympathizers.

LGF is in fact an ANTI-hate site and an ANTI-racism site, and Charles Johnson may in fact be more socially liberal than you on some issues, believe it or not. In fact the only main difference between "Seeing the Forest" and "Little Green Footballs" (aside from LGF having 1000x the readership) is that LGF understands the epochal significance of the "war on terror" as it has been called -- that it is in a fact a defensive war against religious extremists who want to undo centuries of liberal democracy.

Why do you feel the need to be on the same side as the religious extremists? And if that question makes no sense to you, why can't you understand that you are helping radical fundamentalists who want to overthrow the liberal utopia we've created, known as "Western civilization"?

Posted by: zombie at June 10, 2008 6:42 PM

Then...

Journalistic standards obviously mean nothing to you, but calling a blog a "hate site" for no real reason and accusing its creator of posting hateful blurbs on Obama's site with no actual proof is beyond the pale.

Dailykos and other liberal sites have been getting the same anti-semitic crap from the fascistic left for years. It is no surprise this scourge is popping up amongst supporters of the Obamessiah.

If you truly were a tolerant liberal, you would focus fire on the evil people in your own party who post such vile content. Instead, you take unsubstantiated potshots at someone who points out the true evildoers.

Goebbels would be proud of you...... You disgust me.

Posted by: Don at June 10, 2008 8:23 PM

Later...

Thought I'd drop back to see if Dave Johnson has provided any evidence to back up his accusations.

Not surprised to see that he hasn't.

379 MajorPribluda  Tue, Jun 10, 2008 11:24:03pm

Finally:

Dave Johnson: We are still waiting for an answer to ANY question posed by the LGF-ers here.
Additionally, why do you tolerate the abuse being spewed by "squirbells"? Is this the tone we should expect from your site? Questions not even acknowledge, much less answered, but lots of childish invective?

And tell us again about how messed-up the right wing is on the internet. Charles Johnson of LGF runs a contentious site which is dedicated to freedom and does not tolerate racism or advocacy of violence. Your site, not so much.

I'll check back on this thread for any developments. I'm not going anywhere else on your site.

Lizards...

We have a small problem here.

Both Bob in Breckenridge and MajorPribluda have claimed in recent posts to have served aboard the USS Stennis (CVN 74) in 1982.

Bob went further and claimed that his son was born on Russian soil while Bob was serving aboard the Stennis as it made a port call at a Soviet port.

The USS Stennis did not exist in 1982.

To the best of my knowledge no US aircraft carrier ever made a port call to the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Nor have any US carrier made a port call at any Russian ports since the Cold War ended.

Donaghy says refs fixed playoffs; Stern says no

The Tim Donaghy scandal just got more serious.

The disgraced former NBA referee told authorities in a four-page letter released Tuesday that two officials conspired to fix the outcome of a 2002 playoff series and influenced several other post- and regular-season games.

Court documents filed by Donaghy's lawyer detailed the "inner-workings" of a plot in which top league executives used referees to manipulate the games. Donaghy claims two referees were "company men" whose job was to extend a playoff series in 2002 to a seventh game.

He says:

"Personal fouls (resulting in obviously injured players) were ignored even when they occurred in full view of the referees," the document says of the unnamed series. "Conversely, the referees called made-up fouls on Team 5 in order to give additional free throw opportunities to Team 6."

Two players from Team 5 fouled out in the game, the document said, and the "referees' favoring of Team 6 led to that team's victory that night." Team 6 also went on to win Game 7 of the series, according to the document.

at Ft DeDe, it's a matter of water loss.... you get a couple of DWP bills with 2nd and 3rd tier water rates and suddenly dealing with warm water isn't an issue. besides: it makes for comfortable late night swims with the raccoons and such walking by while you're in the water, and i can always drop a couple of blocks of ice in, should i need to drop the temp.

MajorP is correct.

In my haste to grab for a chainsaw from the racks I used the dreaded Triple Morrism. It's shock effect was intentional.

A classic "Rendering" is in fact nothing more than a technique known as "Fisking", invented by one Robert Fisk.

I do so enjoy using their own tools against them...

T-45M

FRUITCUP,
R

PERFECT!
From your link:

Fisk's ability to arouse the ire of political conservatives has led the blogosphere to spawn the term fisking.[26] This refers "not to what Fisk does, but to what is done unto him" - the fisker begins by copying text from the fiskee, and then produces an interlinear critique pointing out flaws and raising doubts. Since the fiskee cannot respond, "the fisker can without too much trouble make the fiskee look ridiculous."[27] The original fiskee was of course Fisk himself,[28] but even the Archbishop of Canterbury has been fisked.[29]

and another internal link there offers anotheer whole PAGE on fisking!

re: #465 LeePro

RGBDJ deserves big props for his post at Politico defending Charles, LGF, and all us Lizards in general. It was well written and much appreciated.

He also deserves props for that nice bit of fact checking he did last night, it was a great catch on his part. That is something that I, as a life long civilian, would have never picked up on. It will be interesting to see how that develops.

Also, though I am a life long civilian, I do not at all appreciate people who lie about things (esp. military service) for some kind of 'street cred'. I do not cotton to phonies, fakers, "Macbethers", or "Beauchampers".

With that said: You, LeePro, have never portrayed yourself as being anything but, well, LeePro. I did not (and still do not) think you deserved the kind of treatment you got in those threads from RGBDJ. It was unwarranted. Especially when you tried to bury the hatchet and pay him a compliment, only to have it thrown back in your face.

/plus your profile pic reminds me of my Nana when she was still young, so I guess I have sort of a familial, knee jerk reaction when people are rude to you for no good reason.

Heh...one of the many things I love about History Channel's Ice Road Truckers (aside from the fact that the Canadian accents are so thick they occasionaly require subtitles) is that these truck drivers who drive big rigs across frozen lakes and segments of the Arctic Ocean take occasional pot-shots at the Church of Global warming....apparently 2007 was their best & busiest season for traffic on record and one of the veteran drivers facetously pipes up in a thick Canadian accent "Just imagine how good we'd be doing if there was no global warming!"

btw, I'm 66

Back in the day when my Nana was that age, she was still a spry young lady full of energy and smiles. Physically fit and always active, with more than enough love to give than most in my family.

She could take on both me and Grandpa with one arm tied behind her back, whup us good, and still give us a huge hug and cook up a corned beef stew that could make most men jump from the table and divorce their wives. She was also a "Rosie", dontcha know, and a real tough gal.

Yeah, I might be exaggerating a tiny bit (about her cooking), but she was a very special woman, and I miss her a lot.

re: #695 Slumbering Behemoth

Back in the day when my Nana was that age, she was still a spry young lady full of energy and smiles. Physically fit and always active, with more than enough love to give than most in my family.

She could take on both me and Grandpa with one arm tied behind her back, whup us good, and still give us a huge hug and cook up a corned beef stew that could make most men jump from the table and divorce their wives. She was also a "Rosie", dontcha know, and a real tough gal.

Yeah, I might be exaggerating a tiny bit (about her cooking), but she was a very special woman, and I miss her a lot.

WOW! ! !
What a lady! ! !

You're lucky ;)

I don't really get much pleasure out of the planting bit - an awful lot like work. I love watching things grow and it makes me feel very secure to know I have enough food on that hill to feed my whole family for most of the year. And it reminds me of my grandfather, who always had a gigantic garden. One of my earliest memories is stealing his tomatoes out of the basket and eating as many as I could with the juice running down my chin. Fell down the stairs and broke my head trying to get out to the garden to get more, so I must've been less than a year old.

Dear TERRI,
I hope you never have to write "Is the Obama administration being moderated at all? What gives?". It's time to really think about who you're supporting.

778 Sunlight  Wed, Jun 11, 2008 5:49:28am

Obama keeps going because competent people are still stuck on the stupid MSM. Even with a link from Rush Limbaugh, the visit count here hovers at or below 100K. It needs to be 100M. That's why the candidates can say different opposite things, etc. with a straight face and not have to worry about it. People will feel a mild confusion, but not enough to actually go out to the blogs to get more info (since we know the MSM will construct the news to fit their narrative). The MSM has done their best to discredit blogs, unfortunately somewhat successfully among people who consider the MSM as the traditional standard. I've gotten a die-hard LA Times reader to read the Investor's Business Daily editorials because they already read the IBD business stuff. It looks like the IBD editorial people are reading LGF, Powerline, Instapundit, milblogs, etc. and are providing somewhat of an infusion into a group of voters who could potentially influence larger numbers of voters. The Wall Street Journal sometimes does a good job of it also, but I've seen some incomplete pieces there (relevant facts left out to maintain some narrative)... which is really too bad.

re: #12 DesertSage

Has Obama produced his birth certificate yet?

I got an email from a couple who say they are missionaries in Kenya. Trying to verify this so take with a grain of salt. This is what they say:

We are living and working in Kenya for almost twelve years now and know his family (tribe) well. They are the ones who were behind the recent Presidential election chaos here. Thousands of people have been displaced by election violence (over 350,000) and I don't know the last count of the dead. Obama under "friends of Obama" gave almost a million dollars to the opposition campaign who just happened to be his cousin, Raila Odinga, who is a socialist trained in East Germany. He has been trying to bring Kenya down for years and the last president threw him in prison for trying to subvert this country! December 27th elections brought cries from ODM (Odinga Camp) of rigged election.

By the way. His true name is Barak Hussein Muhammed Obama.

782 kafir  Wed, Jun 11, 2008 7:40:21am

I, for one, am happy they are not moderated.

We get to see what is really on the "lib" mind.

We see what they really think.

No more masks. No more obfuscation, or hiding behind mealy mouthed words of dubious meaning.

This is what the democrats think of the Jews.

I hope that my tribe is at least aware of this before they bring these losers back into power. Enabling people who wish to destroy you is not a long term survival tactic. Never mind their antisemitism, or anti-zionism, or whatever mental affliction they have today. Never mind their support of rabid murderers, their willingness to buy into known falsehoods and conspiracy theories.

Focus on the fact that they just don't like you. That their posts, their language drips with hatred. That they barely tolerate your existence, and would be happy if someone, anyone, would complete the work of the previous century in attempting to eradicate you.

What, you don't beleive me? Then why are attacks on jews in this country 10x the nearest other group according to the FBI?

The democratic party is sick, twisted. It is full of people who hate, who enable hate, and who cannot recognize a friend and ally and act accordingly.

This is why my fellow tribes-people, we should vote actively, against them. They hate us. Fine. Vote them out of power.

783 dahozho  Wed, Jun 11, 2008 8:26:59am

re: #782 kafir

Oh, I'm so hoping, but for some reason, some of the tribe has blinders on. Hopefully some will change their minds prior to Nov, and we won't have a little Neville Chamberlin of our own....

BTW, shouldn't this woman on the O-site be wondering WHY any of those blogs were approved in the first place and perhaps re-evaluate her candidate? Nah, too intellectually honest...

784 esq_stu  Thu, Jun 12, 2008 8:49:58am
Why do these sorts of people [anti-Semites] always seem to gravitate to Democratic candidates!?!

asks one of the Obama bloggers. Socialism and repression are antithetical to Judaism. Left-wing websites are magnets for anti-Semites. I only wish more of my fellow Yids would get this and abandon Obama.
