Obama Campaign Throws More Hate Blogs Down the Memory Hole - Update: Obama Supporters Read the Riot Act to Webmasters

Wed, Jun 11, 2008 at 9:22:21 am PDT

At the official Barack Obama web site, the blogs by deranged freak “Emmanuel Winner” (as quoted in this post) have now gone down the memory hole: Barack Obama : : Change We Can Believe In | Emmanuel Winner’s Blog.

Change! Can you believe it?

Of course, he was posting this stuff for months before it was exposed here at LGF. His blog index was 16 pages long.

Ever get the feeling you’re being watched?

UPDATE at 6/11/08 9:26:45 am:

The 9/11 Troofer and Socialist/Communist blogs are being allowed to remain, however, despite being pointed out several times, and denounced by Obama’s own supporters.

UPDATE at 6/11/08 9:44:50 am:

It should be noted that the Obama campaign is getting all kinds of credit for being “internet savvy,” much more so than the McCain campaign. But is it really true?

How could anyone who has spent more than 10 minutes on the internet not know that if you allow any random person with an ISP to post anything they want at your web site, you’re going to have serious problems?

And if they’re so savvy about the internet, why are there so many amateurish mistakes and security holes at their site—so many that they’re advertising for a web security expert, after putting the site online?

Like so much else about the Obama campaign, this notion that they are more “internet savvy” simply doesn’t hold up under close examination.

The whole idea of opening up a presidential candidate’s web site to anyone at all is fatally flawed, and shows a very serious lack of judgment.

UPDATE at 6/11/08 9:59:58 am:

Obama supporters are now beginning to read the riot act to the web administrators: Barack Obama : : Change We Can Believe In | Michael Pugliese’s Blog: Right-Wing Bloggers on mybarackobama.com blogs

Re: They ARE monitoring the site....
By Brosco from Newtonville, MA 41 minutes ago

The problem is that the other bloggers were not monitoring this site. If you call things to somebody’s attention, yes, they will act on it. The problem was that nobody on this site bothered to call anyone’s attention to these postings until LGF started calling attention to them. LGF also exposed some of the very poor design of this web site with its wide open directories and other problems of this sort. We owe them for this. I am personally concerned that since donations are being solicited on this site and a lot of security holes were shown to exist, that the information might fall into the “wrong hands”. I am now personally nervous about handing over my credit card data here. Yes, belatedly it has been noted that a security person is going to be hired, but that hire has not yet happened and that is locking the door after the fact. It is most disconcerting that the campaign is being implemented in such a manner. There have been too many redactions of late for my comfort. If this continues, it will call into question Mr. Obama’s administrative capabilities for this me.

OMG I am laughing my head off!
Rush just said they are not working for obama?
Then he said, maybe so, maybe they are working for SOROS!

LOL

I am honestly beginning to believe that Obama does not know the full extent to which he is being manipulated by Soros and probably others. I've been saying for a while that he was anointed the savior of the left a long time ago, which is how he got where he is. Now I'm wondering if he didn't just respond to their appeal to his vanity (which seems to be abundant) and he may not truly understand what he's gotten himself into. Not to say he isn't down with the leftist agenda, he is, but I think he believes he's the captain of his soul, and he's not. Mephistopheles will always come back.

Re: They ARE monitoring the site....
By Brosco from Newtonville, MA 41 minutes ago

The problem is that the other bloggers were not monitoring this site. If you call things to somebody's attention, yes, they will act on it. The problem was that nobody on this site bothered to call anyone's attention to these postings until LGF started calling attention to them. LGF also exposed some of the very poor design of this web site with its wide open directories and other problems of this sort. We owe them for this. I am personally concerned that since donations are being solicited on this site and a lot of security holes were shown to exist, that the information might fall into the "wrong hands". Obama's administrative capabilities for this me.

LGF also exposed some of the very poor design of this web site with its wide open directories and other problems of this sort. We owe them for this. I am personally concerned that since donations are being solicited on this site and a lot of security holes were shown to exist, that the information might fall into the "wrong hands". Obama's administrative capabilities for this me.

I mentioned this to my daughter the geek, who manages very large databases, the other day after you found the open directory. She said that with those directories open like that it would be a sheer miracle if the user lists/credit card numbers has not been hijacked long, long since.

/Glad they don't have my info!

re: #151 lawhawk

Plausible, but not realistic considering that the DNC simply doesn't have the cash to support such an operation. Obama's got the money while the Party is sucking wind and is looking at cutting back on the Convention festivities unless they can get suckers to pony up more.

Besides, if Obama is having the final say (and as the nominee, you'd think he would have ultimate final say), he would be more than tangentially involved in the process.

It goes to a lack of judgment, character, and an approach that is questionable at best.

They don't need a convention. Soros has already annointed Obama.

I've noticed the pattern for several years now. LGF or another blog will launch a story. Rush picks it up after a couple of days. A few days after that it ends up on Brit Hume (usually the Grapevine segment). After that, it makes its way to the MSM, where it gets furiously spun to favor the libs. It's a very roundabout way to get the word out there, but it's reasonably effective (q.v. Dan Rather).

You are correct.
There are, of course, right-wing extremist bigots who will point out that whites get sun-caused skin cancer at 10x the rate of blacks, but this is irrelevant. There is no such thing as anti-white racism because the rich, white oppressors can never be victims. In any case, it is not the sun's oppression that causes the skin cancer. It is the privileged life style of the whites who spend all of their time on golf courses and lounging around their swimming pools.

He definitely has what the press calls an "Appalachian problem."
It has very little, if anything, to do with race.
It has everything to do with a visceral dislike of snotty elites.
It also has something to do with common sense, which IMO is more abundant in the average trailer park than in the Obama headquarters.

It seems to me that those "professionals" who handle campaigns for the Dems so well didn't do all that well by Jon Cary. And how many of them were working for Hillary last week and really don't want to fix Obama's mess (more than a few I'd venture).

We are not helping Obama win. Two months ago you would not have seen the first comment like the ones Charles posted above. People in the US, no matter what their politics, are very aware of internet security. Almost everyone has had a credit card replaced because some big database got hacked and everyone's card number stolen.

This is not a light matter and not one that can be easily brushed under the rug. If Obama, or the people acting in his name whom he hired to deal with this website, cannot manage a simple website - something Charles and thousands of others manage all by themselves - and cannot even be trusted to insure the security of the private data and credit card numbers he asks people to give up, then how on EARTH can he be trusted with national security? Or the nuclear codes?

re: #224 ggt

Light-skinned people get skin cancer at a higher rate, but dark-skinned people die of skin cancer at a higher rate because the dark pigment masks the cancer. It is not not noticed until it is too late.

To be clear, skin cancers are usually divided into melanoma skin cancers, and non-melanoma skin cancers, with the former carrying much higher mortality rates.

Case mortality is higher for skin cancers in Blacks (especially for melanomas). As you say, in large part this is because they are more susceptible to non-sun-induced acral-type melanomas, which are often detected later.

But both incidence and *absolute* mortality rates for skin cancers are MUCH higher for Whites than Blacks. (If you include mostly non-fatal non-melanomas, incidence in Whites is over 20x higher than in Blacks).

Case mortality rates are also higher in Blacks for almost ALL cancers, by the way, though this may be more due to socioeconomic factors than genetic/medical ones.

But that's the point. It will give Obama time to deny they were part of his campaign. He'll make some "eloquent speech with soaring rhetoric" about the need for a "national dialog on weblog security", the media hacks will fawn all over him & the issue will be gone. Voter's memories are notoriously short.

The only "eloquent speech" with "soaring rhetoric" I've heard out of Obama was quite literally plagiarized in large part (or close enough I would give it an F) from Lincoln and JFK.

It seems that when a black person I know (middle-classed, educated with good health insurance) is diagnosed, it is always state 3 or 4. Do they tend to get more agressive cancers? I don't think socioeconomic factors explain it all.

No scream coming now.

1) We're into the general election, effectively. The whoopty-do over the Dean scream -- no matter how it warmed my heart, personally -- was basically a big bunch o' nothing. Once you get past the primaries, people start to demand a little more substance.

2) Obama's fans would never let his reputation go so easily.

3) Howard Dean was no Barack Obama. The guy's got more money, reach, and support than he knows what to do with.

Wall Street Journal

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean has been cultivating his softer side. The one-time presidential candidate with a proclivity for partisan jabs said this morning that he’s made a concentrated effort to tone down his language. “I’ve been dialing back my rhetoric in the last couple of years,” Dean told reporters at a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor, joking that even his teenage children have told him he’s “too controversial.”

Nope, that remains the situation with President Bush, who continues to get unfair and biased coverage from the media, who refuses to admit that they've gotten their coverage on Iraq so incredibly wrong that they've had to undertake pretzel logic to find their way out of the fact that the Surge worked, etc.

"There's more that I can't remember just now. Anyway, point is that yes, Inherit the Wind favors the Scopes side against the religious side--but it is a provocative piece of writing that provides parts with which either side can agree or disagree. Education involves trying and testing one's thoughts against countervailing opinions as well as absorbing that with which one agrees; there is ample material in Inherit the Wind to discuss the play itself, the issues it deals with, the social conventions of the time, the political expediency of some of the characters, etc.

Don't dismiss it out of hand."

"I know he's trying to get traction by seeking to play to what he thinks is his strong suit of national security," Clark said of McCain while speaking from his office in Little Rock, Arkansas. He's never had leadership in a crisis, or in anything larger than his own element on an aircraft carrier or [in managing] his own congressional staff. re: #288 ggt

Thanks for the info.

I do have one question:

"Case mortality rates are also higher in Blacks for almost ALL cancers, by the way, though this may be more due to socioeconomic factors than genetic/medical ones."

It seems that when a black person I know (middle-classed, educated with good health insurance) is diagnosed, it is always state [stage] 3 or 4. Do they tend to get more agressive cancers? I don't think socioeconomic factors explain it all.

I don't know what your personal background is, but unless you know about many many cases of cancer, I think you'd have to discount your observation on the basis of small sample size.

As to stage when cancers are detected, that's dependent entirely on the individual case. Some types of cancer are relatively often detected early (eg breast), some are virtually never detected in cureable form (eg pancreas).

With respect to Blacks, there are multiple issues:
a. Higher INCIDENCE of some cancers (eg breast, prostate, esophagus, etc).
b. More aggressive cancers (eg breast, cervix, etc).
c. Worse prognosis overall.

Some of this is medical/genetic, some is socioeconomic, and some is hard to tease apart. There is a tremendous amount of literature on this, if you are interested, just Google it.

In another round of American crimes against the people of Iraq, the information about to be provided, will show the extent of the American lawless hysteria and its total disregard for human lives. And will also show the criminal complicity of those who took the Americans as military and political allies and as friends and who provide to them their services -- all conducted in the Green Zone.

On the eve of Wenesday 11.7.2007, heavy fighting broke out in the Sheikh Fathi center in the Zanjilia district from unknown armed men. American helicopter planes rushed and some of these unknown armed men fired at the planes.

The americans responded by using forbidden weapons [i.e. napalm] and bombed the house of a Taha Al-Janbil, a Judge. All those who were in the house were immediately killed.

I can't wait for Obama's Nuremberg trials.

61% Say Obama, McCain Wives Influence Vote

The current First Lady, Laura Bush, is regarded favorably by 75% of the nation's voters, with only 21% rating her unfavorably.

By contrast, Michelle Obama, whose husband cinched the Democratic presidential nomination last week, is rated favorably by 48% and unfavorably by 42% of voters. That latter figure includes a startling 25% who have Very Unfavorable opinion of the potential First Lady. A statistically comparable 24% view her Very Favorably. Ten percent (10%) are undecided.

Cindy McCain, the wife of the Republican hopeful, earns favorable reviews from 49% while 29% offer an unfavorable assessment. She is viewed Very Unfavorably by only 10% of voters while 17% have a Very Favorable opinion of Mrs. McCain. In her case, 22% remain undecided.

If the various agencies want to talk to each other they will most likely use a mutual aid analog type system. It’s possible that Israel has largely demurred from recruiting American Jews as spies, but Tel Aviv’s intelligence operations in the U.S. have undeniably continued. The magnitude of Israeli espionage is certainly known to some senior government officials and is hidden in classified files. But even evidence available in public records attests to widespread infiltration.

Tel Aviv is not the capital of Israel, the government sits in Jerusalem so you know what angle this guy is starting from.

I'll note first that not all scanners are legal, everywhere.

That said, you can get a small, hand-held scanner for little money. You'd be amazed what some people say over the air, thinking no one can hear.

My rule is - never say over a phone line or write in an email anything you would not want your mother to hear or read.
There are ears and backup tapes everywhere.
Back in the old days when I worked for Ma Bell (yes before the baby bells) in the central offices they had speakers set up and when boredom struck (often) they taped into home phone lines and listened in. Still do I am sure

re: #434 firebreather

Blacks also get Sickle Cell Anemia, smoke more than other racial/ethnic groups, use drugs more than other racial/ethnic groups, and engage in riskier behavior generally (these observations are not racist stereotypes, but quantifiable facts).

When black leaders cite health statistics as proof that 'The Man' is out to get them, they are poisoning the racial well.

Also poorer overall nutrition, with more obesity, diabetes, hypertension, etc. I know all this, but didn't want to get into it. Again, this is a mixture of genetics and socioeconomic factors.

To the extent that you can blame Blacks lower socioeconomic status on racism (which is a highly controversial topic), perhaps you can explain poorer medical outcomes, but racism can't explain why Blacks tend to get higher grade prostate cancers, for example.

The poorer overall prognosis for cancers in Blacks is complicated, and not readily explainable in a few line blog post. As one example, here is an article from JAMA showing that increased morbidity in Blacks with breast cancer is largely attributable to co-morbid factors like diabetes and hypertension, other than the actual cancer.

(From Bookworm Room) According to the Democrats, when I vote against Obama on November 4, 2008:

* It won’t be because Obama wants to withdraw from Iraq, which I think will weaken America’s interests beyond repair, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama thinks that a nuclear Iran is no threat to the Western World, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because I think it’s an incredibly stupid idea for the most powerful nation in the world to approach evil totalitarian dictators as a supplicant, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because I hate the idea of a President who will subordinate America’s interests to the UN (as he inevitably will), it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama has the thinnest resume ever in the history of Presidential candidates, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because I think Obama’s Leftist connections (Ayres, Dohrn, Soros, Pfleger, Wright, etc.) show him to be either stupid about or complicit with an agenda antithetical to basic American values, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama consistently chooses as advisers people who have opted for the wrong side in the completely binary debate about Israel’s right to exist, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama wants to socialize American medicine, which I believe will destroy the high quality of medical care available to most Americans, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama wants to gut the military and reduce us to a nation with a big target painted on our collective backside, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama wants to gut the Second Amendment and destroy Americans’ Constitutional right to protect themselves from foreign and domestic enemies, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama’s announced that he will dramatically increase taxes, putting the slow, inflexible, ill-informed government in charge of what should be a quick-reacting, knowledgeable marketplace, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama’s record in the Senate (albeit short and undistinguished) has been so liberal he makes Teddy Kennedy look like a reactionary, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama’s an open-borders kind of guy, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama has shown himself to be a scarily slow thinker and speaker when released from the teleprompter (which really doesn’t bode well for those cozy private chats with Ahmadinejad, Jong-Il, and Assad), it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama’s wife clearly loathes America and everything it stands for, despite the fact that she’s done pretty well out of it, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama was affiliated for more than 20 years with a church that preached white hatred and began to care only when it looked as if it would affect his campaign, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama was good buddies with Tony Rezko, and other sleazy characters (showing again that Obama was complicit or a singularly bad judgment of character), it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama’s campaign has proven to be fly-paper for every two bit troofer and anti-Semite in America, it will be because I’m a racist.
* It won’t be because Obama’s promised already to start down the totalitarian path of purging his predecessors through criminal prosecutions, it will be because I’m a racist.

You are so correct about programming. I have lost the book for my 100 channel analog scanner and it is practically worthless when something interesting is going on. It doesn't want to stay on any one channel very long and by the time it goes through the rest of the 99 channels and gets back to the one I'm interested in I have lost the detail of the dispatch.

Many, many agencies are still on analog. You should check with the Denver PD. You might need the cheap bearcat as well. LOL I love mine. I can easily stop it on any channel.

I sure never thought I would get into scanners. I used to tease my dad for having one. Hubby got one for me one Christmas and it sat in the box until the LA riots. After that, I was hooked.

Good points, all. I would posit the theory that societal "racism" (some white skinhead looking cross-eyed at a black guy or the black guy being denied a loan at a bank because of an uneven work history) has virtually nothing to do with black health.

Some of the factors you mentioned-- smoking, obesity, poor eating habits, self-destructive behavior, genetic factors-- do more to explain the higher cancer rates. Millions of black children growing up fatherless is a far more destructive social factor than the incoherent ravings of some Klansman in the Ozarks.

Gah. IT'S ANTI-SEMITIC, PEOPLE, NOT ANTI-SEMETIC.

Sorry.

Personally, I prefer the term "Jew-hater" as the meaning is more clear, and it can't be deliberately conflated with hatred of Arabs (who are also Semitic).

If you want to get all fancy "Judeophobe" works well too.

I remember watching the TV movie a couple of years ago, (don't recall the name, it had the part about no response when they could have taken out Bin Laden) but IIRC, it showed a part where the Mosad was on the roof of that building.

OK, IMHO these guys are both blowhards who are harmless embarassments.

The "that" is Buchanan's willingness to defend Catholic perspectives in general. Buchanan is a seasoned media pro. They can count on him not to sit there and nod his head. He's combative. It gets eyeballs.

And that is what makes him a dangerous blowhard. Not only does he give ammunition to liberals who seek to tar conservatives as mean-spirited lunatics, he also gives ammunition to anybody who may seek to smear the Catholic Church with the charge of anti-semitism.

I'm not a Donatist. Buchanan is RC, just part of a narrow and in very clear ways regrettably misguided subset. As for Vatican II, which was a pastoral rather than dogmatic council, opposing some of its reforms -- and, more precisely, the misinterpretation of its documents -- is far from being grounds for excommunication.

Agreed.

re: #441 looking closely

Here's the story with curious image.

Based on that image, I don't see how it could have been removed without neurosurgery.

Also, like the HUMC neurosurgeon, I question the medical wisdom of just pulling it out like that. . .

Based on what (little) I know about the brain and after seeing the x-ray, the surgeon was absolutely justified in removing it the way he did. The HUMC guy is also correct, there needs to be more follow up, but I'm sure that the "operating" guy is just as aware of this. It's SOP to have a trauma like this looked at afterwards (periodically) to insure the patient is okay and Nothing Bad is Happening (swelling/infection). Prescribe antibiotics is just about all you need to do afterwards. Disclaimer: Remember, I'm no doctor and don't play one on t.v.

But "pulling it out just like that" is exactly what needs to be done - it minimizes tissue/nerve damage and the brain has no pain receptors so you could actually do this "in the field" with no anesthesia!

Just don't try this at home, kids!

There are no sensory nerve endings in the brain. The guy felt a little sting when the nail entered, but no real pain.

IIRC (and I'm no expert), brain surgery is done with the patient awake and alert, because they need to monitor the patient's reactions during the surgery.

Yes, and you want the patient awake. The patients reactions to you as you operate let you know when you are digging into an area you do not want to go into. The nerve tissue in the brain all looks the same, and while there are areas that control certain functions, there is no dotted line on the brain that says stop here. Therefore if the guy you are operating on reports something, you want to know about it. You also want to monitor his speech for slurring, etc. depending on where you are going. Kennedy was awake for his operation. Unless you are dealing with a trauma patient who is out cold already, you want them awake and talking to you.

The brain is a very plastic organ when it comes to taking over tasks. One of the more successful therapies these days for a lot of stroke victims is to bind their good side for a while and make their remaining brain assume control of their "bad" side.

I guess the question is: I know all of this exposure of raw, antisemitic, anti-American blogs on Obama's campaign and security holes makes Obama look incompetent, but at the same time, it helps Obama out because then his team fixes the security holes and deletes the offending material. Exposing Obama's weakness is good, allowing Obama to correct delete offensive material to whitewash his site is not so good. Perhaps we need to make an online web archive of all the nutroots blog postings on Obama's site, point them out, and make them available to the public.
