Gaddafi Worried About Obama, Angry About Support for Israel

Thu, Jun 12, 2008 at 2:17:42 pm PDT

The craziest Middle Eastern dictator never disappoints: Gaddafi attacks Obama on Israel.

Libya’s leader has strongly criticised US presidential candidate Barack Obama for saying Jerusalem should remain the undivided capital of Israel.

Col Muammar Gaddafi said he was either ignorant of the Middle East conflict or lying to boost his campaign.

Referring to him as “our Kenyan brother”, Col Gaddafi also said Mr Obama might suffer from an inferiority complex because of his African origins.

The issue of race could make Mr Obama’s behaviour “more white than white people”, Col Gaddafi suggested, rather than acting in solidarity with African and Arab nations.

Mr Gaddafi suggested Mr Obama’s comments may have been informed by a fear of assassination by Israeli agents, “the same fate as [former US President John F] Kennedy when he promised to look into Israel’s nuclear programme”.

Well, Gaddafi and I agree on one thing!

Important not to Col Q, The POTUS is supposed to work for America's best interests, not pander to other countries.

I guess the DNC should be reminded about this as well.

Thoughts have no color, neither do behaviors. To suggest they do is deeply anti-freedom, anti-progress, and even anti-human. We are not enslaved to the cultures and ways of the old country, no matter our color.

According to Steyn...

B IS FOR BLACK
He was America’s first black president, according to novelist Toni Morrison; and the first gay president, according to himself, suggesting to a gay interviewer that gays supported him over impeachment because they understood what it was like to suffer discrimination. He was also the first Indian president, telling a disgruntled Cherokee that he shared the guy’s reservations (metaphorically) because he, too, was part-Cherokee. Big Chief Talking Bull had hit upon an ingenious strategy: in the crazed politically correct America of the Nineties, he was the only white male to get away with appropriating the victim role for himself.

Quadaffy Duck was hoping that Obama was going to be his new uncle Jimmah and then he found out that Obama doesn't have a brotha' Billie to act as his agent. I'm sure that Obama has already told Quadaffy to pay no mind to what he says about Israel and that his Special Envoy to the Middle East, Leroy Farrakhan will be a lot more more useful than that Cartar Cracka' ever was.

If anybody's interested in the JFK assasination, Tears of Autumn by Charles McCarry is a thoroughly original take on what might have happened.

McCarry was a CIA agent himself and is no slouch in the author department either. This book is absolutely brilliant as both literature and "history."

As a brief intro, McCarry is the thinking person's Le Carre - but a much better writer and he doesn't write from a reflexively anti-Western view. His books are terrific.

Speaking of the great man.

21 years ago today.

And now the Soviets themselves may, in a limited way, be coming to understand the importance of freedom. We hear much from Moscow about a new policy of reform and openness. Some political prisoners have been released. Certain foreign news broadcasts are no longer being jammed. Some economic enterprises have been permitted to operate with greater freedom from state control.

Are these the beginnings of profound changes in the Soviet state? Or are they token gestures, intended to raise false hopes in the West, or to strengthen the Soviet system without changing it? We welcome change and openness; for we believe that freedom and security go together, that the advance of human liberty can only strengthen the cause of world peace. There is one sign the Soviets can make that would be unmistakable, that would advance dramatically the cause of freedom and peace.

General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!

Which I might add is why I enjoy associating around here.

speaking of associations, my son and I were discussing bill ayers association with obama. One of his colleagues declared that since ayers had "served his time" that the association was ay-okay.

I referred to the remark about Ayers wishing he could have done more (I'm only guessing that he has explosion envy of the OK City bombers)

My asked if there would be a difference if Ayers name was Osama Bin Laden? Which made me think. Is there a 15 yr old US citizen who, in 30 years will run for president after befriending Osama and have the gall to say that "I was only 8 yrs old when he blew up the towers"

Camille Paglia says Obama is an alpha male. What the fuh--huu--huu-c----Bwahahahahahahaha, BRONX CHEER!

Camille Paglia needs a shot of heavy duty elephant tranquiliser.....to put us out of our misery listening to her. She's a bit like Ghadaffi...decadent and dissolute.

201 Sunlight  Thu, Jun 12, 2008 3:53:24pm

I haven't had time to read the thread, but Gaddafi's comments made this flash into my mind:

In Sudan, the Arabs in the north are doing their best to delete the black africans in the south. While partly religion related, I've also read that it is race related. So Gaddafi may be revealing a visceral split that will prevent Barak Obama from having the influence he may think he'll have in the Middle East and northern Africa...

'cept Ayers never served time. The charges got dumped on proprietorial misconduct.

which is something my son also pointed out.

He is far from stupid and I'm sure he is smarter them me I would like to be able to sit down with him and ask him why he got involved with the groups that he did, he should have had me as his manager. Last year I was a campaign manager for a local politician and we wasted the other guy.

He obviously didn't get his "Kenyan brother"'s re-statement of "it's negotiable".

All I can say to this scrub is...

Tomcats 2 Libya 0

I believe the final score was...

US Navy Tomcats, 4
Libyan MIG's, 0

Didn't a patrol boat get whacked by a DD in that fracas?

Don't believe the hype. He may have a nicer pedigree, but he is sorely lacking in good old common sense, "street smarts", and all the other things the average person has to acquire so as to avoid being a sheep for the wolves' benefit their entire lives.

Gaddafi appears to have had hair transplants using plugs form the pubic region.

I know but it's funny when you run a campaign and how things work out, who said what to whom ect.

I stand corrected. However I was thinking back to the bumper stickers I saw around the Navy base in Norfolk, circa 1981. It was still 2-0 back then.

The thing I like about Muammar Gaddafi is that he usually says whatever is on his mind. He doesn't run it through a filter. I recall his speech at that last summit of Arabs and he said a few things that stood out. One was that if Muslim Nations wanted peace they could have it at any time. Second that if they wanted to go to war with Israel and destroy it then what was the hold up. This rings true with what I've always know about Muslim countries. That they can't get along with each other much less the rest of the world. I suspect he knows a muslim leader over the USA would be harder to deal with than an Infidel one.

212 Shaky Louie  Thu, Jun 12, 2008 5:26:41pm

This paragraph jumped out at me:

The issue of race could make Mr Obama’s behaviour “more white than white people”, Col Gaddafi suggested,

Gaddafi, that is racist of you!

rather than acting in solidarity with African and Arab nations.

Bite me! How about he acts in "solidarity " with America?

Of course there are more things I could point out, but that'll do for now.

213 funkyfantom  Thu, Jun 12, 2008 5:28:39pm

We should take the occasion of khaddafi's remark on afro-arab solidarity to remind ourselves that the entire arab "civilization" of North Africa was built by arab colonists using black slaves as human pack mules in the blazing saharan heat, a kind of slavery far more brutal than picking cotton in Mississippi.

That's still going on in Sudan for example, to this day. Even Malcolm X realized the underlying reality of the Afro/Arab relations after his visit to Mekka.

Why does this man look like Fred Sanford to me?

216 Solomon2  Thu, Jun 12, 2008 6:08:51pm

Gaddafi isn't crazy, he talks a lot of sense amid the lies. Many other Arabs think the same way, but not as loudly: In the 1970s the Saudi king used to rant about Jewish-Nazi conspiracies to Henry Kissinger! What could be crazier than that!

One of the things Gaddafi says is that if Arabs accept the principle of peace with Israel then Israelis could justly sue the Arab states for billions in compensation. As a practical matter, then, Arabs must remain hostile to Israel (no matter how much Israel is in the right) as a basic matter of greed. What could be saner than that?

217 LeonidasOfSparta  Thu, Jun 12, 2008 6:21:58pm

he needs to be worried about that facial hair; damn, forget the hair, he needs to be worried about that FACE!

Sharpei. He looks like a sharpei, or was that parfait? (everybody like parfait!)

Bobby was murdered by Sirhan Sirhan.
