CAIR Seething at Barack Obama, Demanding Action on 'Islamophobia'

Thu, Jun 12, 2008 at 3:40:35 pm PDT

The Saudi-funded, Hamas-linked radical Islamic front group calling itself the Council on American Islamic Relations is unhappy with Barack Obama—because he’s not doing enough about a nonexistent invented “phobia:” Obama aides grilled in Dearborn.

And because he says he supports Israel. They’re really hoping that Obama will be the one who brings about change, i.e. the criminalization of criticism of Islam, and the destruction of Israel.

Notice: yet another mainstream news article about CAIR that does not even mention their extensive ties to terrorist groups, history of extremism, or status as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas funding trial.

It was immediately apparent at the 90-minute meeting at the University of Michigan-Dearborn that Obama has some work to do, as he and the presumptive Republican nominee, U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, battle for votes in ethnic and religious communities that are “in play” in the 2008 election — including the three large communities in Metro Detroit.

First, some who attended the get-together Tuesday said, there was Obama’s speech last week to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), a pro-Israel advocacy group, in which he called for an undivided Jerusalem under Israeli control.

The three Obama aides who attended the meeting also were challenged about the perception that he fails to denounce Islamophobia, even when he points out publicly that he has been targeted by prejudiced Internet bloggers, in particular, who continue to assert that he is Muslim.

“We are waiting for him to decry this Islamophobia as anti-American, just as anti-Semitism is anti-American,” said Dawud Walid, of the Council on American Islamic Relations. “To simply say that he is a Christian and not to criticize Islamophobia is akin to passively supporting Islamophobia. He has to address publicly the roots of these concerns.”

Cuz we know that's what they think.

People shouldn't criticize Islam, what's not to like? /sarc.

In addition to a "profit", Mohammed was a:
Murderer - in one day he beheaded between 600-900 captive Jews
Child Molester - deflowered Aisha when she was 9, he was 54
Rapist - had sex slaves, and one (Mary the Copt) gave birth to a son
Torturer
Robber
Thief
...any other major crime one can think of.

"Islamophobia" = cheap ripoff of the gay rights movement.

Suck on that, CAIR.

And speaking of that, I am tired of "homophobia" et. al.

Not wanting to kiss yer @ss in public or grant you special rights is not FEAR; it's called "equal treatment under the law".

You want to be equal to me? Be prepared to get what you asked for!

Obama's campaign pointed Wednesday to his statement in a recent broadcast of "60 Minutes" that the Internet campaign is "offensive to Muslims," and that he vows to work with all ethnic and religious groups to mount an inclusive foreign policy.

I think this is an important acknowledgment, but it will never be enough for the forces trying to impose shariah.

31 Dave the.....  Thu, Jun 12, 2008 3:52:40pm

I finally got around to reading the article on how America has free speech rights that most other western countries don't. don't have the exact quote handy, but I loved the line by the liberal (talking about criticism of Islam) that went something like "but they made to loosen up some of the more....." Damn I can't remember the quote, but he said we need to loosen up our lack of restrictions on speech. My questions is, how do you "loosen up" a non-restriction? Wouldn't that be "tightening up"?

Thank you! I left out "irrational".

If I did fear Islamist violence, it would be rational enough, given the average number of bombings and rocket attacks perpetrated per day by militant Amish.

I think there is going to be a concerted effort by all of the unsavory Islamist groups to criticize Obama during the campaign. They are masters of media manipulation and hope this will help the Obamasiah.
In the meantime, the Hamas phone banks and (probable) Islamist money mills will keep on keepin' on.

Speaking Out Against the Muslim Student's Association

The story begins at Michigan State University with a mechanical engineering professor named Indrek Wichman. Wichman sent an e-mail to the Muslim Student's Association. The e-mail was in response to the students' protest of the Danish cartoons that portrayed the Prophet Muhammad as a terrorist. The group had complained the cartoons were 'hate speech'. Enter Professor Wichman. In his e-mail, he said the following:

"Dear Moslem Association, as a professor of Mechanical Engineering here at MSU I intend to protest your protest. I am offended not by cartoons, but by more mundane things like beheadings of civilians, cowardly attacks on public buildings, suicide murders, murders of Catholic priests (the latest in Turkey ), burnings of Christian churches, the continued persecution of Coptic Christians in Egypt , the imposition of Sharia law on non-Muslims, the rapes of Scandinavian girls and women (called 'whores' in your culture), the murder of film directors in Holland, and the rioting and looting in Paris France.

This is what offends me, a soft-spoken person and academic, and many, many of my colleagues. I counsel you dissatisfied, aggressive, brutal, and uncivilized slave-trading Moslems to be very aware of this as you proceed with your infantile 'protests.' If you do not like the values of the West - see the 1st Amendment - you are free to leave. I hope for God's sake that most of you choose that option. Please return to your ancestral homelands and build them up yourselves instead of troubling Americans."

Cordially,
I. S. Wichman
Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Much seething going on.

Obama comes quite to the left. Almost extreme left.
This makes Obama a lot easier to influence by all kinds of wackos and nuts. His blog is an obvious example of this.

From Dawud Walid's Blog, this quote from a story run in 2003:

Led by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the nation's "supreme leader," Iranian clerics have repeatedly declared that Islam forbids the development and use of all weapons of mass destruction.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran, based on its fundamental religious and legal beliefs, would never resort to the use of weapons of mass destruction," Khamenei said recently. "In contrast to the propaganda of our enemies, fundamentally we are against any production of weapons of mass destruction in any form."

Blah..blah..blah...
Americans don't like people who kill our citizens in the name of a 'religion' and try to slice into the fabric of our civilized culture any way they can and lull citizens into believing their crap.

Here's an example of MY concern, pal. It ain't a phobia, no matter how many times you say so.

135 TheUnrepentantGeek  Thu, Jun 12, 2008 4:43:55pm

I've had just about enough of this nonsense from CAIR.

Look. A phobia is an irrational fear. When a substantial portion of a religion's adherents threaten the world at large with violence over cartoons and movies, fearing those adherents stops being strictly irrational and becomes quite sensible.

Islamophobia: a malaise of the mind that results from knowing too damn much about the nature of Islam. i.e. the logical result of having a rational mind and being able to see beyond all the bullshit and recognize the that Islam is a backward cult with little to offer mankind outside of backwardness, misogyny, and brutality.

What in the hucking fell is going on with my country?!? Why is there such a virulent outbreak of ignorant-a$$hole-itis rampant within our borders? We won't drill for oil in our own county, why the f*cking hell not? Can't build nukes, can't have wind power since the Demonrats think it will f*ck up their million-dollar views. Can we take those that voted not to tap our own resources out in the street and beat 'em over the head with a clue by four? To the deepest and hottest parts of Hell with those that f*ck over our country; Democrats are guaranteed a place at the front of that line and the b@stard RINOs that voted with them will carry their baggage, since they are worthless sacks of slime that are sucking off of the Islamofacist teat to f*ck over those that put them there. The last thing that I want to see is blood in the streets, but I am saddened to say that I think that it will eventually come to this but if it must, I would hope it begins in Washington DC and burns it clean, so that new growth can flourish where now all we have is a stunted, diseased, toxic swamp. We will have to fight enemies both foreign and domestic; it frightens me that there may be more 'domestics' than 'foreign'. I cry for the future that my children have to face due to these useless bags of pus that lead our country on both sides of the aisle (but mostly on the left).

#23 Mama Winger

The interesting thing to me will be the way that Obama responds.

---------------

Well.......Given Obama's MO - CAIR shouldl soon be Campaign Road Kill.

i.e. - this scenario:

Friday, BO, " Our change, uh, welcomes CAIR and I, uh, em, for one, must therefore condemn Islamaphobia in all its forms, as basically, well, umm, un-American."

Saturday ( A.M.) MSM, citing LFG blog reports, reveals CIAR as an unindicted co-conspirator..... worked with fund raising group linked to terrorist labeled, HAMAS, who has also recently declared its support for BO.

Saturday (P.M.), BO, "I have great regard for CAIR, uh, and, er, ah, all religious faiths, for that matter."

Sunday, BO, on AM MSM News show, " Now, see Bob, I, uh, uh, well, before we received those donations form CIAR, we, uh, emm, I, uhm, had no idea about their connections to HAMAS and um, the money's been returned, and, umm, also, .... I, er, have never publicly acknowledged an endorsement from Hamas."

Monday, BO in mid-day press conference, " This is not the CAIR that I knew about, and the kind of change we can support - and, uh, uh, em, well, my former Campaign team member that is also allegedly employed by CAIR has resigned......uh, so I consider this issue now closed!"..........

....and, Bingo! CAIR goes under the bus, as the freshest Campaign Road Kill!

That stench under the bus must be getting pretty rank, these days......
as Loudon Wainwright sang, better "roll up the window and hold your nose!" Dead skunks... under the Big Black Bus!

His elitist views can't be hidden behind that SouthSide/HydePark , "I'm just one of the boys" grin--and if he cowtows to the Islamofacist pigs-ar*es, then he and Boxer and Pelosi and Kennedy and Reid and Ellison and Murtha should all be hauled out into the street and flogged with huge strips of bacon and then hauled into court and tried for TREASON!

re: #146 Clutch

What in the hucking fell is going on with my country?!?

Clutch, MILLIONS of decent, concerned genuine citizens are asking the very same questions.

The other day I brought a Lib's rant up short by asking him, "Do you like America?" He said yes. Then I asked, "If this was 1760 right now, would you have been one of those brave revolutionaries who stood up and helped to start this fine country, or would you have just let everything go to pot?"

(No answer.) He's still mulling that over. If his answer had been "Yes" then his rant would have been a lie, yet if it had been "No" then he would have directly admitted to my face that he was a traitor.

Anyway, by accident or by design, the sedition and sabotage that the Dem's are doing to America today directly follows the stated goals and purposes of the 'old' Communist Party line -- and the KGB, etc. -- before and during the entire span of the Cold War. Stalin, Beria, and crew should be delightfully spinning in their graves, re: how much progress they made in sabotaging their hated United States of America. The Dem's "Screw America" virus has indeed become a self-sustaining transformer-monster, and it didn't just happen by chance. Connect the dots.

While hundreds of millions of good honest decent citizens have been thinking along the lines of a simple game of checkers, someone with a devious capability to pull strings, seems to have been playing chess behind our backs.

'Conspiracy theory' or not, I invite anyone here to offer a more workable explanation than that.

Furthermore, none of the above means squat, without actually DOING something to fix the problems.
.

Once I was a teen I attended his 3 day seminars in which he addressed the many faceted aspects of Marxism, dialectics, Communism and its hydrahead.

It was laughed at. When you read through all of them it may strike you as prophetic.

This whole discussion is moot. Are we honestly supposed to believe that Metro Detroit is "in play" in any way, shape or form? AND that the muslim vote could tip the balance? And then, that if Obama doesn't kowtow to CAIR, then the muslims will vote for McCain? I was born at night, but not LAST night.

156 alleged hate crimes against islam. Epidemic proportions!

Exactly! They're not even competitive with the other segments! Statistical evidence that their claims are hugely overblown.

This will be fun . . . watching Obama tie himself into knots for the next five months as he tries to turn the identity politics he built his career on into a governing philosophy.

"Islamophobia" = cheap ripoff of the gay rights movement.

Suck on that, CAIR.

And "homophobia" is no more real nor valid than "islamophobia." Both words are nothing more than hate speech, directed at dissenters, in an effort to shut down an unwinnable debate.

Ever wonder how many of those so called "Hate Crimes" are self inflicted?

Nah, just the "dirty look" kind.

So the comis-ophobes are scared of islamophobes (pbut)?

comis (adj.) - [Latin] civilized, civility, courtesy, politeness

177 Purple Prose  Thu, Jun 12, 2008 6:59:46pm

The end of CAIR is foreordained. They do not even have the discipline to refrain from making excessive Islamist demands on the most liberal candidate since George McGovern, and the most pro-Islamic ever, until he is in office. They don't understand the I scratch your back, you scratch my back nature of Western politics. If they made a multimillion dollar donation to the Obama campaign, through an intermediary so that their already sullied and politically compromised name would be hidden, they might be rewarded in spades a year or two hence if Obama is elected.

But CAIR, despite being an "Muslim-American civil rights" organization is so foreign and so Islamic that it cannot even fathom how things work. CAIR wants it all and it want its now. If the CAIRistas were on ritalin, maybe they could focus, but Islam is not a creed that teaches focus or patience.

So CAIR pushes too hard and too soon, and if they are ignored for a minute or if one statement out of dozens does not conform to the Islamist line, they cry Islamophobia, and then issue press releases and threaten to sue and go into jihadi mode.

We must take comfort. Islamists overplay their hand, have no focus and no patience, want it all now, and do not abide anyone who does not cave into them immediately and completely. Even Obama, the most pro-Islamist candidate in history, does not satisfy them, even if he might give them what they want eventually and needs to play the game to get elected. They want it all and they want it now.

This will be the undoing of Islamists.

The CAIR assholes just want affirmation that Obama cares about them. That way, they can all scream "AH, even the president (God forbid) of the USA thinks we are right!" They are like children.

Son of bin Laden Associate Raising Funds for Obama

It's a lengthy post by Debbie Schlussel, but worth the read. The gist of it is that a former associate of Osama bin Laden and Abdullah Azzam, the theologian who helped form al Qaeda, now lives in Michigan where he faces deportation for a second time. Mohamed Imad Al-Churbaji, claims Schlussel, not only was associated with key members of al Qaeda but also worked for a sham charity which used the money it collected to fund the global jihad.

Al-Churbaji's son, an American citizen, is a fundraiser for Barrack Obama. Go read it.

The most disturbing part of the post isn't that Al-Churbaji's son is an Obama supporter. It's not clear to what extent he sympathizes with his father's Salafi ideology. The really disturbing part of this is that even though Al-Churbaji was deported once, that he was given a visa to come back into the country from Pakistan!

He came back legally, even though he had previously faced deportation hearings? Schlussel speculates that there may have been fraud involved in getting his visa, but it could be just plain bureaucratic incompetence. In either case it's a SNAFU.

Oh, and key Democrats in Congress have lobbied ICE on his behalf. Nothing disturbing about that.

Thanks to Carl who also has related commentary.

Islamophobic = irrational fear of Islam

I see Islam (Theoracy) through the actions of the followers (people who state that Islam guides their actions).

Time for everyone to stop being PC.

It's time that everyone sees the true intentions of CAIR.

But it's probably the old: "confuse the kafirs by lying about our intimate relationship and let them believe we hate each other" ploy.

Yes.

Very true.

But, don’t give CAIR any ideas.

The roots of Islamophobia are the violent and terroristic actions of Muslims.

187 Kalak  Fri, Jun 13, 2008 6:53:34am

Y'know, maybe if Islamists stopped blowing stuff up, flying planes into buildings and decapitating people, then Americans wouldn't be "afraid" of them.

188 eaglewingz08  Fri, Jun 13, 2008 11:40:44am

There is really no thing as Islamophobia-IRRATIONAL FEAR OF ISLAM OR ITS ADHERENTS. The West, or at least those who aren't clueless lib moonbats, have a RATIONAL FEAR of those two categories, based upon centuries of evidence leading down to this morning's newspapers and media stories. If CAIR wants to change perceptions about ISLAM then it would be wise to change the Wahabbist and extremist tendencies in the religion as it is practiced and espoused today.
When adherents shout death to America, death to Israel, and behead anyone who insults Islam, well, reporting that is not islamophobia, and reacting negatively to people who shout death for publishing ideas or cartoons, is also not irrational. The irrational people are the ones strapping on bombs, carrying swords and holding mob rallies calling for death. When we see Friday sermons by the imams and mullahs that call us infidels worthy of death, and other execrable prose contained therein, with no protests by CAIR or 'moderate' muslims, again, the reaction to such hate is not IRRATIONAL and thus NOT islamophobic.
