Hope, Change, and Che Guevara

Fri, Jun 13, 2008 at 8:50:34 am PDT

Remember that Che Guevara flag in Barack Obama’s Houston campaign office? The one that all the Obama supporters came out and decried as a fluke, and totally unrepresentative of the campaign, and just one person’s opinion?

Well, here’s an Ohio judge with an attraction to mass murderers and Communist thugs—and Barack Obama.

And as we’ve been pointing out all week, you can find blogs all over the official Obama web site that support Communists, terrorists, and 9/11 Troofers.

Still just a “fluke?”

(Hat tip: Power Line.)

A judge in Ohio says the state's method of putting prisoners to death is unconstitutional because two of three drugs used in the lethal injection process can cause pain.

That's funny, your hero Che wasn't too particular about whether his execution methods caused pain.

Al-Sadr: New force to fight U.S. in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr is establishing a new fighting force to battle U.S.-led troops in Iraq, he said in a letter read in Iraqi mosques Friday.

Muqtada al-Sadr says his new group will focus exclusively on battling U.S.-led forces in Iraq.

Al-Sadr's letter said that "the resistance will be exclusively conducted by only one group. This new group will be defined soon by me."

Al-Sadr's militia, the Mehdi Army, has a strong and ubiquitous presence in Shiite cities, towns and neighborhoods.

Sources familiar with al-Sadr said they believe he's trying to embrace other militants, especially what the U.S. calls Iranian-backed "Special Groups" that have flouted a cease-fire the cleric declared in August.

The mainstream Mehdi Army has operated under the cease-fire, which dramatically reduced violence in Iraq. During that time, however, there has been fighting between U.S. and Iraqi troops and members of the Mehdi Army, with many of the battles this spring in the southern city of Basra and Baghdad's Sadr City neighborhood.

(So if you work at the Post Office on Friday you cannot go campaign on Friday for anyone.) Nor can you make a political statement while wearing an official uniform.

Who would be able to get this cretin?

re: #82 Sharmuta

The romantization of figures like che is just disgusting. If idolizing murders is cool, where are the t-shirts and posters of mao? Or Ted Bundy or Timothy McVeigh? Why not go all out and put up a hitler poster? Why the pretenses? What makes this murderous thug so much better than the rest?

I'm waiting for the Manson Family Christmas Special on one of the major networks.

Someone needs to pen a letter to the chief administrative judge in Ohio and report this.

That poster of Obama looks a lot like the Posters of Lenin and Mao that were seen in communist squares.

Millions died under the boots of these thugs.

WAKE UP DUMMIES !

You want to see something good, go get that poster of Obama that looks like a drawing, the one that people keep changing the slogan on. And then photoshop it into that picture next to the Che one.

Freeking Lorain County.... That's disgusting, and it is very telling that USA Today doesn't even see it as a hotbutton - it would have been easy to get that shot with just Barry.

Chenge!

An Obama picture will be mandatory in every house and office, just like his tin pot friends.

I want mine on velvet.

"Al-Sadr's letter said that "the resistance will be exclusively conducted by only one group. This new group will be defined soon by me."

Y'all notice that he didn't say it would be LED by him though. And if they target US Troops in particular, the "new Army [sic]" will go the way of the old one.

So bold, so insane, so unafraid of the consequences because of a lap-dog media that is ball-scrubbing Obama on a daily basis.

New Kind of Judge

ELYRIA -- It has taken fewer than nine months on the bench for Lorain County Common Pleas Judge James Burge to define himself as a jurist who marches to the beat of his own drum and to become a lightning rod for controversy.

Burge, who sports a slicked-back silver hairstyle and is often seen with an unlit cigar lodged in the corner of his mouth, said he promised while campaigning for judge to never make a decision based on how it would read in the newspaper. But naturally, Burge who dons reading glasses when he puts on the judge's robe and takes the bench, said he sometimes thinks of how the public may react to some decisions.

''The thought enters my mind, certainly,'' he said. ''It just doesn't weigh in the decision. Everyone would like to be liked and popular. I always base my decisions on what I think is right.''

Burge, who spent decades practicing as a criminal defense attorney before he was elected in November, acknowledged that he has made decisions that some people vehemently disagree with and others praise.

Who would be able to get this cretin?

He is a local judge, so I would complain to the Governor of the State of Ohio and whatever the board is in Ohio that regulates judicial ethics. Lawhawk or Real should know exactly who that is or be able to find out in 20 seconds flat.
