Hamas Work Accident Watch

Fri, Jun 13, 2008 at 9:27:20 am PDT

Jimmy Carter’s friends have admitted that a huge explosion that killed seven terrorists and a four-month old baby was a work accident.

GAZA CITY -Hamas implicitly admitted on Friday that a massive house blast that killed seven of its fighters and a four-month-old baby in the Gaza Strip was not caused by Israeli forces.

“Members of the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades were trying to prepare for a Jihad operation,” the Islamist movement’s armed wing said in a statement.

It said six members of the brigades were killed in the blast in Beit Lahya. A local leader of the Hamas armed wing died of his wounds on Friday, one day after his four-month-old baby died in the explosion, a doctor at Shiffa hospital in Gaza City said.

I've spoken to some that believe that these "accidents" are caused by Israel.

Terrorists use cell phone to set of the bombs, and some believe that Israel uses drones that constantly emit a different cell phone frequencies so whenever a terrorists is "working" it explodes.

I don't think so.

Unbelievable. The bomb making terrorists show absolutely no regard for their fellow Muslims/human beings/neighbors/whatever, and yet are consistently held up as heroes to be emulated and adored. They blow half their neighborhood to hell and instead of the people turning on them and drumming them out, they immediately come up with a lame-ass scheme on how to make Israel look bad. Sick, sick, sick. There is a pathology at work here which completely defies my comprehension.

Adventure tourism gains much of its excitement by allowing its participants to step outside of their comfort zone. Of course, initially they blamed Israel.

They didn't just blame Israel, they used it to justify a barrage of fire at Israel that wounded Israelis.

To which the Olmert/Barak/Livni/Shas Government responded:

Thank you sir, may I have a cease fire?

A damn shame about the baby. The only upside is that these people won't be around to kill anyone else's children.

Dead kids are a fringe benefit. The BBC and other media immediately run with the story that the death was Israel's fault. A retraction never comes.

Dead kids equals valuable propaganda to the barbarians. And every indication shows that it's a good investment.

re: #20 Ben Hur

I've spoken to some that believe that these "accidents" are caused by Israel.

Terrorists use cell phone to set of the bombs, and some believe that Israel uses drones that constantly emit a different cell phone frequencies so whenever a terrorists is "working" it explodes.

I don't think so.

Agreed.

Being a bomb-maker carries the real and ever-present danger of being a bomb-victim. That is a common and recognized occupational hazard. With the senior bomb-makers being routinely killed (by themselves or by Israeli action), there are always a bunch of green "newbies" around likely to get themselves and others killed.

As you say, you don't need to invoke anti-Israeli conspiracy theories to explain this.

The cell phone explanation is garbage. If Israelis were emitting cell phone blocking (or activating) frequencies at random, everyone in Gaza would know it as their cell phones would be malfunctioning all the time.

Some other good ones from her:

Give an ultimatum then undertake the 'long march' south into Lebanon with these people. Give them a monetary incentive for leaving (e.g., thanks US or EU). All that stay are wiped out. Period. There are no more 'rocket' attacks or border infiltrations. That is all done. I am sick of hearing about these dumb assholes and the non-responsiveness of the Israelis.

This morning I wrote a complaint to the BBC website. They had a huge headline blaming the attack on the Israel Air Force and not a single word anywhere about the 60 rockets that fell on Sderot. Only when you got past the Hamas propaganda, did they mention, in the same article that just "maybe" it was a work accident. I asked them if perchance they got their salaries from Hamas instead of the British taxpayer. After Hamas admitted it was a work accident, they removed the article and the offending headline. The new article does actually mention "dozens of rockets" fell on Sderot.

So - A bunch of Hamas crazies blow themselves up when their
meth lab jihadi preparations go bad, killing an infant. Some functionary in Hamas immediately blames the Israelis for launching a missile strike and killing said infant along with their comrades and the Palestinian British Broadcasting Corp. immediately blames the Israeli Air Force, never bothering to mention the 60 or so "Qassam" rockets that these slugs fired into occupied Palestine Israel. I REFUSE to watch, listen to, or read ANYTHING - "documentary", drama, comedy, web content -produced or posted by the BBC, the BLATHERING BULLS**T COOPERATIVE.

Exactly right. I read them because it's important to follow up on the anti-Israel bias and to send a complaint. I believe they've got some kind of QA system based on the number of complaints they get.

I also suggested they rename themselves to HBC (Hamas Broadcasting Corporation) i/o BBC. It was fun!

They were probably storing a lot more there than a bomb for a single operation. Remember their military facilities, such as they are, rely on being protected by civilian surroundings so if they get bombed, there are certain to be photogenic atrocities.

Could have been any number of things, but likely they were playing around with Iranian toys in prep for a larger scale attack and managed to fumble badly enough to set off whatever else they had in place, explosives, chemicals, etc

143 Brees  Fri, Jun 13, 2008 12:38:36pm

#10 - Why is there always a baby?

Sick to think or say it, but they do use children as martyrs too. One could question if the baby was going to be part of a homicide mission on an Israeli bus in a packed market.

Unfortunately for the baby, their plan went wrong.

According to ynet, Hamas was preparing a "high-quality" attack. The way I see it, they succeeded. Alternatively, they may have been working on the fireworks display meant to mark the first anniversary of the Hamas takeover of Gaza. In either case, a great succes. Let me wish them many many more of the kind.

Opinionated at 10:01 am and my cousin, TweetyPie, at 11:34 am and 12:01 pm (sorry, I'm not familiar with the linking system here):

I also complained strenuously to the BBC - to their joke of a "Complaints" website the better "Newswatch" and the editor of the BBC News Website, one Steve Herrmann. The object of my ire was the little propagandist who was on night shift and put a link up on the Middle East page with text indicating that Israel was responsible for the blast while the BBC had already reported, though in a doubting fashion, that Israel had denied involvement.

Probably many people complained because they then came up with an unambiguous link on the Middle East page with text of Hamas admitting its members had blown themselves up and a fair article accessed from the link. Unusual for the BBC.

I believe the BBC has been infiltrated by a number of Jihadi-supporters, some working more openly than others to turn the BBC into the Jihadi Broadcasting Corporation. We can only hope that the Jihadis meet with strong resistance from within the BBC - as they did today. Though I can't help thinking that they only broadcast Hamas' admission of responsibility fot the blast with prior approval from Hamas.

149 Tweety  Fri, Jun 13, 2008 4:05:16pm

Meant to add that I e-mailed them later to compliment them on the speedy reversal of the original propaganda, but also to suggest the lie was serious enough for them to print a correction and an apology.

But Barbara Plett has to weep for Arafat before the BBC apologises.

150 tweety  Fri, Jun 13, 2008 4:25:50pm

And the link is still on the Middle East page:

"Hamas set off massive Gaza blast

Hamas admits a massive explosion in Gaza on Thursday was caused by militants preparing for an armed operation."

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/default.stm

Not bad, BBC. Usually the little propagandists would cover something like this up, once blaming Israel had not worked.

The bomb making terrorists show absolutely no regard for their fellow Muslims/human beings/neighbors/whatever, and yet are consistently held up as heroes to be emulated and adored.

They are pretty much the Islamic equivalent of the people who have meth labs in their homes, regardless of the danger to their children and neighbors. The difference, as you said, is the reaction of the neighbors to the operations going on... because Satan's children are all involved and supporting them.

Scum is scum. The neighbors are getting what they deserve in this case. I just wish I could take all the little helpless babies and bring them here to love and raise right.
