Don't worry; the Paulians will write him in for prez.

Since when is Joe Lieberman a Republican? I know he's not Democrat anymore, but as far as I'm aware, he is not a Republican either.

(That's a longshot on the Republican side).

15 lawhawk  Wed, Jun 18, 2008 3:14:18pm

You don't have to be a member of the party to be a nominee. Hagel (supposedly a Republican) wants to be Obama's VP.

17 Ward Cleaver  Wed, Jun 18, 2008 3:14:38pm

I thought I was going waaaay dark horse by voting for Kathleen Sebelius, but she's at the top. Whouda thunk it?

re: #10 Jito463

He would never be considered on the Democrat ticket, but since McCain is the Republican candidate there is a chance he would be considered as his running mate.

19 Ringo the Gringo  Wed, Jun 18, 2008 3:15:39pm

Jim Webb (D)

Mitt Romney (R)

That's my pick, not necessarily my choice though.

20 lawhawk  Wed, Jun 18, 2008 3:16:00pm

Interesting poll of the day:

President Bush Job Approval
RCP Average: Spread -36.4%
* Approve
* 29.8%
* Disapprove
* 66.2%

Poll Details >
Congressional Job Approval
RCP Average: Spread -58.0%
* Approve
* 17.5%
* Disapprove
* 75.5%

However bad Bush has done, Congress has surpassed him as an indicator of bad job performance.

The entitlement of almost all politicians is sickening. They have forgotten who hires them and for what purpose. About Hillary`s one month vacation to prepare for the terrible, awful job the people of New York hired her for:

It is a transition from the possibility of the most powerful job in the world to the reality of a junior senatorship among 99 others in a chamber dominated by overweening egos that have already indicated they will make no special provision for her to ascend quickly to a leadership role.

Boo hoo. I think taking a month off from congress to recuperate from the 18 months you just took off should be a scandal.

Ugh.

Unfortunately some idiot was selling this button at a Texas Republican event recently...at least according to a bunch of Lefty blogs.

re: #96 ladycatnip

As long as McCain doesnt pick Bloomberg. that guy is just not right.

I like Romney because I think he can help McCain with NH, MI, CO, NV and NM.

Yes I saw the previews when I went to see Iron Man. It sure sums up what the post election week will look like doesn't it?

104 parisparamus  Wed, Jun 18, 2008 3:50:03pm

#96, moreover, Romney would allow McCain to focus on slaying Obama in the foreign policy realm, since econ is not his forte.

105 Kaitian868  Wed, Jun 18, 2008 3:51:47pm

I picked Romney there w/ Richardson on VP Democratic side.

But Richardson won't get tapped because he's got alot of baggage.

re: #103 satan sidekick

I don't want to sound conspiratorial, however, I wonder if the movie will get bad reviews and/or get "banned" for some reason. If it seems to make a reference to the Obamessiah, no telling what will happen.

BTW - It SURE doesn't represent any conservative feelings toward McCain.

I wrote in "Winnie the Pooh" for the dims on that poll!

Me too but I did not see it come up as getting any votes

I won't be an extra in the Happening if McCain loses in November but I won't be very happy with having the messiah and his sidekick in the White House either.

109 MellyMel  Wed, Jun 18, 2008 3:57:11pm

Choices--

R -- Rudy (I can still hope, can't I?)
D -- Hilldebeast. On her part, I think she'll suck it up and agree on a VP slot (for now) and he knows she will bring back a lot of those defecting lib votes.

/I really hope I am wrong on the D side, but I do want a Kindle.

110 parisparamus  Wed, Jun 18, 2008 3:57:28pm

I think Anne Romney would seal the deal in November. She is adorable. She is the anti-Michelle Obama.

Nice lady. I wrote to her about stem cell research and she actually answered my email. A real classy lady.

Unfortunately some idiot was selling this button at a Texas Republican event recently...at least according to a bunch of Lefty blogs.

A very liberal professor friend fo mine emailed me a quote in which apparantly some McCain supporters say something nasty and racist. But you are right, this is generated by the left for the left with the help of a few idiots who have nothing to do with McCain or what his campaign is about.

Giuliani for the Reps, wrote in Olbermann for the Dems.

114 GeeWiz  Wed, Jun 18, 2008 4:35:44pm

I voted:
D - Biden
R - Crist

Did I win? Huh?

I didn't see Maurice Hinchey on the dim list....he's a genius...wants to nationalize the refineries.

Yeah, right up there with the other dim bulb from LA...she couldn't think of the term "nationalize" as she was threatening the oil execs at the hearing with nationalization. Genius!

Hill - dog for the dems: I still can't get enough of the primary race on that side.
Jindal for the republicans: He is a rising star in my book

OK Everyone -

For OBAMA - I suggest WILLIAM "Cold Cash" JEFFERSON, (D) Louisiana, a kindred spirit. 'Nuf for NOW!

cinnabar -

In a "fairer world" - the "R" Ticket would be ROMNEY - JINDAL '08. The world is NOT FAIR - or so said JFK in 1962.

OK Charles -

Let's put it this way - Let's use a "neutral" word. From now on, EVOLUTION = ADAPTATION. Adaptation is a "good" word.

Only thing, he's running for re-election in his district. I am soooo glad I don't live down there.

126 kynna  Wed, Jun 18, 2008 6:00:04pm

I think many were voting for who they wanted not who was probable. That must be how Romney wound up the frontrunner for Republicans. Not a snow cone's chance in hell for that one, IMO.

I hate my choices. As a rule, I like being right, but I sure hope I'm wrong this time.

127 Colonel Panik  Wed, Jun 18, 2008 6:45:06pm

The very name, "Kindle" gives me the creeps. Makes me think of "Fahrenheit 451".

re: #92 Eowyn2

I disagree. I think the dem powers that be figure the only way to retain the Reagan Dems will be to have a 55-65 yr old white male "man of distinction" hence the general.

Weasley Wesley Clark, the Balkan Blunderer? Man of distinction? Surely you jest!

Giuliani. God, I got depressed watching Rudy on Morning Joe this morning. He masterfully took on Joe and that idiot Mika... pounding their nonsense into the ground. It still kills me he didn't get the nomination. I know there are many things against Rudy for VP, but I'd still love to see him get it.

re: #27 Mich-again

I picked Lieberman for McCain's Veep. Yeah its a longshot.

I actually kind of like that idea. Yeah. Lieberman is a democrat but he's tougher on national security than some politicians parading around with an (R) after their name.

PJM is going down hill. Everytime they let Naverett post i loose a little respect for them.
