Religion of Peace vs. 3-Year Old Boy

Thu, Jun 19, 2008 at 6:29:42 pm PDT

If the global jihad is losing support, one of the reasons is in this story from the Bangkok Post: Insurgents kill 3-year-old boy, dad in South.

(BangkokPost.com) - Insurgents shot dead a three-year old boy and his father in the southern district of Yala on Thursday morning.

The boy, identified as Anas Doloh, was shot with his 45-year-old father Korbay when they were riding a motorcycle to rubber plantation in Bannang Sata district.

“Insurgents.”

Here's another incident in this district. There doesn't seem to be a date on it, it could be new or very old news. In any case, another father, a "Muslim religious leader", with his 12 year old son were shot while riding a motorcycle to the Mosque for prayers, by a group called the Runda Kumpulan Kecil (RKK) group.

From the article:

An intelligence source said core leaders of the BRN-Coordinate guerrilla group recently met to plan attacks against teachers and their security escort teams.

They agreed to torch important locations and public properties in Yala, Narathiwat, Pattani and four districts of Songkhla.

Pattani provincial court yesterday sentenced Muhammad Jehyang, an insurgent leader, to jail for recruiting people for guerrilla training in Syria.

The Thai people in this area are under siege. :(

New at zomblog:

U.C. Berkeley Oak Grove Crisis, Day 2: Dumpster Muffin Defends Her Perch

Following up on my posting on Tuesday about the crisis at the oak grove tree-sit:

Despite the seeming finality of the previous day’s “assault” by U.C. Berkeley on the occupied oak grove near Memorial Stadium, the standoff continued for a second day, as most of the sitters had managed to avoid capture. I swung by late on Wednesday, June 18, to see how things had progressed.

The crowd was definitely larger — word of the ongoing battle had percolated throughout the Professional Protester Community, and all the regulars came out. The atmosphere was simultaneously festive and desperate.

The sitters had constructed an insanely perilous aerie towering far above the highest branches. It was occupied by a protester with the too-perfect name Dumpster Muffin (yes, her name really is Dumpster Muffin), who would go into convulsions whenever one of the dismantlement-minded arborists neared her outpost. She’d screech and scream and shake the platform violently, forcing her opponents (who were dangling from a cable attached to a crane) to back off, fearing she’d martyr herself by plummeting to the ground rather than be captured. Using this technique repeatedly, Dumpster Muffin (seen here warily eyeing the crane in the distance) successfully defended her perch, to cheers from supporters down below.

...etc.!

I have Comcast cable (free with my lease). They conduct required monthly emergency broadcast warning messages roughly once or twice a day, often timed to coincide with crucial spots in programming they don't like. They very often black out Fox News for extended periods of time. They are gradually making basic cable channels disappear in order to blackmail basic cable customers into a more expensive level of service. In the last two years their basic channels have been disappearing at the rate of about 1-2 every three months or so.

If I actually paid out of pocket, there's no way I'd have their service. They cost as much as DirecTV with less than half the programming, and with much less reliable service.

MY ISP almost never goes down for even a short period of time. Comcast vanishes on a regular basis.

We pulled off one of the coolest deals in local government and our cable company. As part of the franchise agreement with the county, Media-one(ComCast) had to provide and maintain dark fiber to 140 locations within the county. The design of the network allowed for triple redundant links to many of the sites. The Network (INET) was lit up in 2001 and has worked magnificently till today. The network allowed us to save 2 1/2 million a year in WAN costs with AT&T. Now ComCast management has become aware of the INET and are fighting to take back the fiber. This is going to court and I will be retired before the issue is resolved....

Comcast installed as they went - we have lots of new areas. Started with cable, added internet, now adding phone-over-cable. They have done great. They are the only cable company, but some people get Dish, etc. The phone company (Qwest) got approval to raise rates, supposedly followed by new installations/upgrades for DSP or whatever it is. But they collected the money and only did some of the work. I think they're in trouble for it (as they should be). Anyway, no complaints about Comcast here. I know people who work there and they say it's a good place to work.

LOL! I've been awake, it's just that I don't trust "simple." Simple is suspect. Simple to me usually means something's been overlooked, not properly factored, incomplete, or "pre-packaged" for my consumption.

This whole "PC War on Terror" still has me scratching my head that even though we know who the bad guys are, where they congregate, their tactics, motives, end goals; we even have their marching orders in the form of the Koran and Hadiths. Why are the people responsible for solving this, more afraid of being called names then upholding their oaths of office? The domestic side of the WOT is beginning to resemble a bad Monty Python sketch that they don't know how to end. Oooh! I just remembered I TIVO'd American Idol. Gotta go.

re: #88 formercorpsman
No. That won't happen. Where ever islamic governance exists, it is stronger than any internal move against it.

The youth of Iran, for example not only stand no chance against the government, they actually fear the government way more than they want any sort of freedom from it.

Either some outside force destroys these places, in total, or an outside force spends the next hundred years blockading these places while they die from the lack of resources from the outside world.

Only through the resources provided them from the non islamic world do they present any threat to anyone outside. If we blockade them (which will never happen because we won't even close our f'n borders) their strength will die like a shark deprived of baby seals.

They are a 1500 year old culture made powerful only by their access to the "toys" of the future 1500 years ahead of them. Cavemen with precision milled weapons.

Found on Craig's list:

I punched Dumpster Muffin right in the face (Tree top duke out)

She was telling me how amaaaazing and empowering it was to be up there protecting the trees when I just started whaling on her. She tried to throw a bucket of urine and excrement at me but it caught in her dreads and the bucket emptied on the front of her clothes. You couldn't actually tell that they had been (further) soiled but I digress. Then Zachary Running Wolf came shuffling over and I punched him too. His "Eagle" feather (turkey vulture actually) came out of his headband and floated gently to the ground as I took his hand crafted turquoise belt and pummeled him with it in the name of free speech. Then I fired up the Stihl and got to work. God it feels good to accomplish things.

I think "why is it a story" could be answered by the simple fact that it's a 3 year old murder victim. And really, truly, this wasn't necessarily "targeted". Search back through LGF for some of the other killings carried out by the Thai ROPers. They kill everybody. I recall one where they murdered, IIRC, a physically handicapped street vendor. The main problem is they would need to refuel their fighters in mid-air either over hostile territory (Syria) and those tankers make easy targets or over Iraq. To refuel over Iraq they would need US permission and if we were to give them permission there would be no reason for the US not to join the Israeli's in the strike. In for a penny in for a pound as Grandpa used to say.

I really hope we do it. We have the stealth strike aircraft that would make this a much easier operation; even the IAF can't match that.

There are some interesting forums on the BangkokPost site like this one: [Link: matrix.bangkokpost.co.th...] It seems there are a lot of Thais really incensed over this and other acts of terrorism in the south. Evidently, Thailand has a quiescent MSM too.

Buzz is a genius.

The handle is while I am a strict vegetarian, I am also fat. Fat Bastard is a character from Austin Powers.

Mark Twain said the club and member line (I think).

So how you doin'?

Your post reminded me of a joke...
(Q) How many people with A.D.D. does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
(A) Wanna go ride a bike?!

No offense meant, you just went in a bunch of directions all at once. Was a fun post to read.

Thanks Fat...Yes that is how i'll be posting here..I've come to admire the community here from a distance..

It never takes me anytime to recover from being kind or nice.

Kinda sugary, ain't it. Sorry. But, I'm sincere.

We are decomissioning the F-117. Hmmm, maybe the Israelli's wouldn't mind the high degree of care to keep them up.

Excellent thought. I do believe humans can multitask - rough capabilities to use if needed, and a gentle life, when available. Anyway, that's what I'm aiming with raising my kids. My upbringing was more on the rough side. I can be rough (not too fearful) when I need to be, but I've had a heck of a time getting rid of my turtle shell. I want it to be removable. It's fun watching kids raised a different way. It's all an experiment, though. We'll see how it turns out.

Are you kidding. They'll hack them like they did the F-4s... the U.S. probably wouldn't let them have the F-117 because they *might* make them better than anything else out there.

I will never understand, no matter what political view you hold, what religious view you hold, no matter what you want to steal, no matter what, makes any human ( I know, not human) any human being, be able to murder a baby or child. I know that sane people will never be able to explain this, because no matter how hard you try to find one, there is no reason. there are no words. I know most probably saw this horrifying story 2 days ago, but, I went to my room and cried like a baby, Who does this stuff. I really cant take this stuff.

Thousands of people have been killed in southern Thailand by Muslims in the past few years. The govt is unable to stop it. The world is focused on and obsessed with Israel, so that doesn't make a dent in world opinion.

215 eaglewingz08  Fri, Jun 20, 2008 4:25:00am

Waiting for the Agence France Press to do a report for a month on this killing like they did against Israel for months on the Dura killing, and calling these Thai murderers every black name in the book as they did Israel. Oh wait, the Israeli claim was a libel, false and staged and this murder is true and in line with islamist behavoir and doesn't involve Israel. Never mind.

And liberals never seem to care that insurgents are mass murdering innocent people. Just like in poor neighborhoods that are on permanent lock down, liberals won't address the core problems.

Because it's all Bush's fault. (sarcasm)

Wonder if Michael Moore considers these murderers "Minutemen" or is that label just for the insurgents in Iraq.

According to Michael Moore, these "murderes" are freedom fighters and it was Bush's policies that made them murder.....errr......take the life of this 3-year-old kid.

220 paradox42  Fri, Jun 20, 2008 9:46:57am
Vicious cowardly evil muslim terrorists brutally murdered a three-year old boy and his father in the southern district of Yala on Thursday morning.

The boy, identified as Anas Doloh, was shot with his 45-year-old father Korbay when they were riding a motorcycle to rubber plantation in Bannang Sata district.

That's a bit more accurate I think.
