In fairness, Russia is not part of the EU and so not "Europeans" in the sense of what we talk about in the US when we speak of weak Europeans. Post-soviet, Putin-era Russia is building itself (back) up as a separate power bloc, a Eurasian monster with global designs, as it has always seen itself. At least the Russians have proven and continue to prove that they can resist Islamification on their soil, although their low birth rates and insanely self-serving foreign policy may be their doom. If this were in the EU, the "enema" sculpture would be a mosque's minaret, although the place of insertion would be the same.

Rome may be burning in both cases, but the EU Europeans are stoking the flames in their own backwards, while the Russians are trying to put them out, often with brutal effectiveness, sometimes not.
