Barack Obama’s new campaign logo expresses his ideals of hope and change with subtle symbolism and humility.

Kidding!

Actually, it’s an obvious knock-off of the Presidential Seal, and it might be illegal.

I’m no Latin expert, but I think the motto translates to roughly, “In truth, it is possible.” Or to use the vernacular, “Yes, we can.”

Considering that most Americans don’t speak Latin, and that possums are known for sleeping, having the word “possum” in there is … unfortunate.
