MEMRI Widget Released

Wed, Jun 25, 2008 at 2:11:03 pm PDT

The Middle East Media Research Institute has released a handy little “widget” that can be embedded in a blog template: The MEMRI Widget.

It would be installed here, except that I don’t usually put in external stuff that might affect the page loading speed; and the RSS feeds for the main MEMRI site, the blog, and the video site are already included in our home-brewed Ajax RSS widget in the right sidebar. If you’re not the type who likes to write your own code, though, this is a very easy way to include their content at your blog.

  • Comments are open and unmoderated, and do not necessarily reflect the views of Little Green Footballs.
  • Obscene, abusive, silly, or annoying remarks may be deleted, but the fact that particular comments remain on the site in no way constitutes an endorsement of their views by Little Green Footballs.
  • Posts that contain phone numbers, street addresses, email addresses or other personal information will also be deleted, as will posts that consist only of a variation on the word, "First!"
  • Comments that advocate violence will be cause for immediate banning with no appeal.
  • Disagreement and debate are welcome, but insults and abuse are not, and may cause your account to be blocked.
  • REMEMBER: posting comments at LGF is a privilege, not a right. Abuse that privilege, and your account will be blocked.

Can I make a request? (that you all can ignore if you'd like, however I believe even Charles commented on it once)

Its sort of lame when people throw useless posts near the top of the thread as some attempt to be the "FIRST" to post. I find it really stupid when I have to read every new equivalent of "first" on every new thread. As far as I know, there is no secret prize for being the first one to post, so how about we stop being 2 year olds and actually have something to say?

~vent off.

I just love it when Charles gets all technical on LGF. It sends a tingle down my leg just like Chris Matthews.

Heh. My son should be arrested for DUI in his chair, and he doesn't even drink. We have our own personal citations against him, which usually means he doesn't get to watch the movies he wants.

re: #4 Ben Hur

No. Actually I came to this thread and was about to type something short and meaningless, until I realized how immature and useless it was going to be. Thus, I instaed sat around and tried to think of something of purpose to say. Didn't really come up with anything, so I decided instead to post a pet peve that has been bothering me for a bit. Just my 2c bro.

re: #5 unrealizedviewpoint

Its just a kind request from the other LGF'rs. As the very wise Digital Underground stated: Do whatcha like.

You gotta be kidding me!

This story is hilarious!
One snippet:

Watching the greening frenzy from afar, Fred L. Smith Jr., president of the libertarian Washington think tank Competitive Enterprise Institute, suggested the Democrats could really shrink their footprint by staging a virtual-reality convention: "Just have everyone stay at home with their laptops, sitting in their pajamas, interacting through their avatars."

Threat for the logic-challenged:

Iran hints will develop nuke if attacked

Iranian parliament speaker warns Western powers it will develop nuclear bomb if provoked. 'You will face done deal blocking path of return to compromise with Iran,' Larijani says

So... if the West act to destroy the Iranian nuclear program, which Iran insists is not being used to make nuclear weapons, they will respond by building nuclear weapons, presumably with their destroyed nuclear facilities.

Bonus contradiction: the Iranians have never agreed to compromise, anyway.

That is an excellent point. However the solution to the whole mess is right in front of us.
As president, lightworker Barry Obama will sit down for tea with the Hidden Imam. After that meeting the planet & our souls will be healed.

And the joker who said this, Larijani, is considered a "moderate" by Western diplomats...

By the way, did you know that Mo ElBaradei's wife, Aida Elkachef, is the cousin of a leading conservative Iranian mullah, Mahdavi Kani.

Dr. Ahmad Al-Mub'i, a Saudi Marriage Officiant: It Is Allowed to Marry a Girl at the Age of One, If Sex Is Postponed. The Prophet Muhammad, Whose Model We Follow, Married 'Aisha When She Was Six and Had Sex with Her When She Was Nine

42 godfrey  Wed, Jun 25, 2008 3:50:07pm
at the Age of One, If Sex Is Postponed

Yes, because as we all know from Allah and Mohammad, sex with a three year old girl wasn't condoned. Not because there's anything intrinsically wrong with that, but because Mohammad for some reason chose the ripe old age of nine as sexually arousing enough to be considered worth subjugating with sexual abuse.

The Koran and Mohammad's life evidently have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with rationality, morality, or justice.

Despicable to the very core.
