Thursday Night Obama Blog Nuthouse Roundup

Thu, Jun 26, 2008 at 6:53:16 pm PDT

There are so many loons of one stripe or another posting “blogs” at the official Barack Obama site that I’m just going to start dumping links:

my.barackobama.com | Sam Vafadar’s Blog: More on numerology and politics/world events...

my.barackobama.com | Mark Banks’ Blog: Mr. Obama - please don’t continue Bush’s excuse of 9/11...

my.barackobama.com | LadyLexophile: Denouncing Wright

my.barackobama.com | Susan C. Moyer’s Blog: Impeaching President Bush

my.barackobama.com | cynical yet hopeful political gal

“Everybody’s worried about stopping terrorism. Well, there’s a really easy way: stop participating in it.” Noam Chomsky

Mark Banks's blog, linked above, has one Luapnor concept covered:

By Mark from Redmond, WA Apr 6th 2008 at 1:12 pm EDT
There was enormous support for a party platform article, at yesterday's caucus, that asked for a real investigation of all the facts of what happened on 9/11 and who was responsible.
So, yes, let's get Obama in office and then demand that the truth be brought out!

If we did even half of what Noam Chomsky wanted us to do, this country would be destroyed. How this "scholar" manages to get any respect or garner a following is beyond imagination. I guess there is a surplus of "blame America" and/or "hate America" yahoos out there. Like Noam, they sit in their comfy little worlds and spite and spit upon the very country that allows them to have their comfy little existences....I could use words like pathetic, ungrateful and self-destructive, but that only scratches the surface.....delusional Utopian pinheads, perhaps?

My favorite Obama group is Food Tasters for Obama .
Here is a quote from the blog:

Greg, a supporter who has slaved in several states for the campaign, looks forward to enjoying wholesome foods prepared by outstanding White House chefs after months of eating pizza warmed up in microwave ovens. Hannah is excited to taste for Barack, although she does not like mushrooms. Joe wants to make sure the group includes hard-working, white Americans and the foods they love, like meat and potatoes

May I suggest Waffles.

re: #9 Bob in Breckenridge

I didn't have to get as far as her website to know she was not well...

However, after watching "911 Mysteries" I can only say it is worse than I imagined. The movie, while not coming right out and saying it, basically leads one to conclude that President Bush was behind the attacks (which would mean he knowingly created the situation and authorized its enactment) and the horrible deaths of the people in the World Trade Center buildings. The movie gave convincing evidence, for me, that it was not in fact the impact of the planes that resulted in the collapse of the skyscrapers, but a well-planned demolition undertaken supposedly because they were losing money. The man who had purchased them 6 weeks before 9/11 bought double insurance on them and made sure they were insured against "terrorist attacks". And there was testimony by many about how the buildings were constructed to withstand the impact of planes the size of those that flew into them, and that the way the buildings fell was consistent with demolition explosives.

Now THAT sickens me. Whereas I was lukewarm about impeachment before, I am in favor of it now. I can't believe our own government would go so far as to engineer such a feat, collaborate with bin Laden to make it happen, and that bin Laden agreed to be the scapegoat -- and give Bush the justification for war against his people.

CRAZY! OUTRAGEOUS! WAY ILLEGAL! IMPEACH!

SUMMARY: She didn't think Bush's actions rose to the level of impeachment until...until she saw a crappy troofer video, accepted it wholesale, no questions asked. But here is the weird part, (yes, I know it's been weird to this point already) the video claims the owner of the WTC is the one who plotted the destruction of the WTC to gain insurance money. And from this she deduces that bin Laden agreed to accept blame for the attack, and Bush should be impeached because....well, she never really explains this part. I think magic was involved. I love love love crazy people on the internet. They are so entertaining.

I don't like to dwell too much on so-called conspiracies, because our society is so sheltered that we do not even entertain, nor tolerate, alternative views of significant events. In other words, we take what we see on TV as the truth, and never think twice about it. Such a mindset requires no effort, because it is so ingrained within all of us Americans that we no longer think manually, we think automatically. And for that reason, the media, in conjunction with the government, have done an excellent job in suppressing the human mind. And so, attempting to break free from the norms of society, I tend to find some conspiracy theories interesting, although I do find some conspiracies just outright outrageous or irrelevant to anything that would be of use to the human race.

I had the misfortune of stumbling into a political conversation with a moonbat today... an Obama supporter, natch.

I told him to check out Obama's website, and see the kooks that support the Senator. He informed me that he already looked into it, and he said, "So what."

I asked him if it bothered him that the blogs are still there, and he said, "No. Too many to monitor."

I asked if he was concerned that nuts like these guys see Obama as their candidate... a guy who sees the world as they do. He said, "No. Every candidate has their nutty followers. They are harmless... nobody listens to them."

Then I said, "Oh really? Maybe they're still posted there because that is what Obama believes. Maybe they are the base, and you are the outsider."

He just stood there and blinked at me... and then he walked away.

Moonbats are easily confused by sideways logic. Heh.

I know a whole lot of Obama supporters and what worries me the most about them is that they are convinced that almost everyone is one of them.

My sister who live up in Oregon is utterly convinced that Obama is going to win in a landslide. She tells me that I am the only person that she know who is not an Obama supporter.

The other night at a party in west Los Angeles, everyone was talking about how much things will change once Obama is president. There was no consideration that it was even possible that he may not win. When I, and one other person, said that we were going to vote for McCain, people looked at us as if we were completely insane.

...and most of the people at this party were Jewish!

89 Purple Prose  Thu, Jun 26, 2008 7:30:51pm

Obama is so transparent, and the hype around him so egregious, that I am shocked that so many people can't see through the BS. I don't know any people who prostrate in front of images of their Obamessiah, but I know a few too many generally cynical Democrats who are naively hopeful that everything will change with Obama. I know "independents" who could go either way but seem to be trending Obama. What did Obama put in the Kool Aid?

McCain could win over many in the middle and center-left, but he is not pushing his message hard enough. Also, he is not responding to Obama's race-baiting (e.g. his not so-subtle message that if you don't vote for him, you are a racist) and other odious tactics. Obama is playing not only dirty politics but regressive politics (ironic, considering that he is adored by the magi of the progressives). Obama is like Huey Long.

It is harder for McCain to set the tone, since the media is overwhelmingly biased toward Obama, even now after Obama's Chicagoland style and hypocrisy and hubris have gained a bit of traction with the media. However, McCain can do better. It's early days, though, but McCain needs a "war room" to go offensive and hammer away at Obama's distortions, lies and coercive (and essentially bullying) statements.

McCain cannot let Obama and the Obamites and an Obama-pliant media paint him as Bush III. McCain is a liberal Republican, to the chagrin of many conservatives, and he should project himself as one. Conservatives will come on board no matter what, because a Pres. Obama - the most liberal pres. the country would have ever had, raising taxes and groveling at the feet of dictators - is too awful to contemplate. The Bush-fatigue factor is something the Dems want to put around McCain's neck like a chain, but McCain is about as far from Bush as a Republican can get. He needs to stress this and go after Obama again and again for Obama's FUD tactics.

re: #74 Ringo the Gringo

I guess I am just stupid, but just what the heck do these people want to "change"? I just don't get it. I live in a country where I can choose where I live, what I eat, where I work, and for the most part, what my life circumstances are.

I see and hear all about this "totalitarian" society that "Bushhitler" has ushered in. Will someone please explain to me where I go to see all this "totalitarian" behavior? What is the address of the Gulag? I have some vacation time coming....

112 ContraJihadi  Thu, Jun 26, 2008 7:38:14pm

I used to agree with Thomas Jefferson when he wrote, "Democracy is not the wisest form of government, but it is the safest." I am now convinced that when a salutary republican regard for the original constitution is no longer held in the maximum of secular veneration, and when the separation of powers no longer restrains a federal congress that will bend the welfare clause of the preamble beyond all rational constraint or will suffice to check a court that invents law on the fly, that then a democracy, while perhaps safest for the most supine who suck at the tit of the federated dame, will no longer guarantee the liberty of the self-reliant citizen.

The time has already come when the fetish of safety has become the auto-erotic idol of indolent fools; wisdom has been both castrated and debauched. A great tragedy has come on the scene, because the waters are swarming with sharks--theocratic, fascistic, and Marxist--all offering the morbid compensation that, if only they will appease the monster, the masses of now emasculated lotus eaters will gain the privilege of being allowed to be the last to be shredded into black oblivion. ... And their eyes will be glazed with hope, and "change" will be the threnody bleated on their ovine lips as they bend before the blandishments of the messiah who holds the sheers.

The purpose of the DHARMA Initiative was to change the factors leading to humanity's demise, which will be indicated by an alteration in at least one of the human/environmental factors - i.e. the numbers. However, in all its years of research, the Initiative failed to reach its goal. Despite much research and manipulation of the equation's values, the end result was always the numbers. "

Actually, that's not it at all. I just do not have the time or energy to debate with people that are that closed minded.

I have had quite entertaining debates with several co-workers.

I know what you mean, Dolphin, as I got an unexpected email from a Kenyan ex-student of mine, GREAT executive mind, used to be regional manager for all Asia for the Kenyan national flagship...

Her email was gushing in support of Obamessiah, she frankly admitted that logic was not operative, yet she was SO ENTHUSIASTIC and HAPPY that a 'local boy' had a shot at president...

I responded that in any case, I didn't want Obama to become a barrier between us, and left it at that.

In the next couple days, weeks, months I'll ask her "Well, how can I defend Obama against (the Tony Rezkos and Revulsive Wrights) in his life?"

NOT arguing, just eliciting response...

Silverman is well informed. It's the H and C routine, Dan the conservative and Craig is the liberal. But a really good liberal, I would say neo-liberal, middle left. Not a Colmes.

I wouldn't consider Dan Caplis a conservative -- more like a very middle-of-the-road Liberal. At least, that's my take. I used to hear him on 850 KOA Saturday mornings (he had his own show) and his stated positions were hardly mainline conservative....

I ask not because I necessarily distrust the author (always safe to be skeptical, though), but rather, because I want to be damned sure that they are before I start E-mailing this to every person in the country. Perhaps I'm going to have to see if this book is available at the library. I'll wear gloves, of course, to protect myself from any of the diseases residing therein, festering in aging moonbat drool.

Now, I don't think the relative number of stickers really matters because McCain voters aren't infatuated with their candidate. Ours is not an emotional response but a patriotic and civil duty to vote for the best candidate. Thus, we are not the sort to put bumperstickers on cars.

Besides that, it messes up the windows and/or paint.

The pollsters are screwing up the partisan gap to such a degree that many of the polls are utterly meaningless. The true spread, in my wee opinion, is somewhere around 8 points. By November, it should be around 5 points, at the worse ... 3 or 4 at the best.

Adjusting the partisan gap by that many points creates a completely different outcome. McCain is doing okay.

I've noticed how FEW undecided are polled these days. Perhaps they push undecided into decisions ... prematurely. Perhaps not. My hunch is that Obama is such a polarizing figure that people have lined up either for or against him.

Anyway, GOTV campaigns work best when the candidates are polarized. Getting more of ours to vote could spell victory more so than trying to convert the tiny mass of undecideds. Of course, both conversion and GOTV are necessary, but in this election GOTV seems more significant.

We need to make sure our R friends and relatives vote, particularly in swing states.

re: #220 hermeneutics

In Utah, I've seen more McCain bumper stickers than anywhere else (I travel often).

Republicans are subtle and dutiful. We simply go vote. No fanfare. No nuthin'.

A McCain sticker on a car is an irresistible target for democrat keys. The opposite isn't true, so a car bedecked in Obama stickers will survive unscathed [except for its hurt feelings as the other cars mock it], while a single McCain sticker will guarantee destruction as if your vehicle did battle with godzilla.

The tolerant party my star-spangled ass!

Yes, the MOR voters who may be swayed emotionally by Obama's cult of personality appeal (bolstered by an enamored media) combined with the hardhead ideologues ("John McCain ain't no real conservative, so I'm sitting this one out in protest to show those dumbass Republicans!" are the lethal combination to putting Obama in office this fall. At first I thought the comment was from a very young and naive blogger, and was surprised it was the old guy! LOL

Anyhow, about participating..... for the past 4 years I've had 3 separate neighbors fuck with me. I ignore it, avoid them at all cost and guess what? They don't back off! They obviously get a lot of pleasure asserting their aggression. Luckily the latest neighbor crossed the line legally and I am now getting a restraining order.

Point is, as we all know, when assholes want to cause trouble and won't leave you alone, from neighbors to terrorist types, no amount of avoiding or trying to reason with them does any good at all. And by the way, these assholes are lefty peace not war types who hate Bush for "his" war. LOLOL!

Thing is, very few people base their vote on who the VP is unless the VP is from their state. McCain will also get a lot of Reagan democrats, especially union people who will hear the Obamessiah's rants about raising CAFE standards in cars and trucks, and they'll know that that means the loss of thousands of jobs in the auto industry.

Now, it's.... Diane Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi. The place has really gone to seed lately, hasn't it?

re: #420 realwest

Well you're friend Mr. Mossberg is a MUCH better home defense weapon than ANY pistol and while I love the 1911 .45, even when I was young and in great shape, shooting it at anything over 20 feet or so, after being woken in the middle of the night by someone trying to break in, with the adrenalin rushing through me, would be an exercise in futility.
But if you want to go handgun, I'd suggest the S&W
.40 caliber - much better chance of hitting a "target" and still good stopping power.

Like they say, the purpose of the handgun is to be able to fight your way to your shotgun...

And (I know we've discussed this before) actually I do my best shooting, at the range at least, with a .45ACP. I don't find them at all uncomfortable or overpowering. I do agree that in a home defense situation, if I can get to the 12 gauge, that's the preferred option.

If I were looking for a *carry* pistol, I would probably go with .40, and probably in Glock.

Speaking of that, a lot of union dems in Michigan are also NRA members, and the 2nd amendment is non-negotiable to most of them. Those were some of the Reagan democrats.

I know a few union Democrats that have privately told me they won't vote for Obama- one of the reasons given was the Reverend Wright debacle.

As for the VP stakes- I agree that most people don't vote for the VP, but with so many disaffected conservatives, the VP might help bring them back to the party. There's also McCain's age to consider, so a good VP pick is critical this time around.

I've found that they're dumb as posts, generally speaking. No joke. Intelligent enough to operate a motor vehicle and sometimes a computer, but utterly lacking in basic sense. I don't know what it is, but somehow people seem to check their brains in at the window when they line up to get their Obama merchandise.

I'm still perplexed by the way my girl in NYC was absolutely certain that McPain was going to win. "Oh, it'll be McCain. Obama is promising all sorts of stuff but he won't be able to do any of it." She also reported that her "progressive" older sisters didn't like Hillary because of her ties to Wal-Mart, and evil corporations that acted all corporation-y. She actually laughed when I told her that her sisters were stuck in the French Revolution.

This from a classic "Democrats Good/Republicans Evil" New York Jewish liberal girl. Maybe it's because she's one raise away from what Obama would call "rich"? Were NYC'ers actually reluctant to collapse at the feet of the Obamamessiah? I really need to ask her.

I really don't think Dems, on average, are any less intelligent than Republicans. Some are missing, though, a connection to capitalism, religion, nuclear families and a gut-level trust in ordinary people.

No, Democrat does not equal stupid, by any means. I wouldn't suggest such a thing, ever (I'll leave that kind of hate to the lefties). What I have noticed, however, is that enthusiastic Obama supporters specifically seem to be ten different kinds of foolish or childish. Like the two co-workers who spent their lunch break talking about how they were going to paint their nails with "OBAMA" and go vote for him, walked off the job at 4 PM to go vote without telling anybody because another Obamite co-worker told them that "the gubmint says you can leave work to go vote"... And then didn't vote after all. Or the above-mentioned Obamite co-worker who said she "Was voting for whoever's going to end this war the quickest, 'cause I got two boys and don't want them to get drafted", except her two (fatherless) children are in middle school. There are others...

I think many Democrats are generally well-intended people who have never formed a logical opinion about the appropriate role of force in society, or the fundamentally selfish nature of humanity. They never seem to ask "what's in it for the politicians?", like they genuinely think their people are running for office out of the goodness of their magnanimous little hearts, and are somehow different from the masses of obnoxious, vicious, scheming, self-interested, abusive, thieving barbarian monkeys these same Dems will complain about, day after day.

It's a matter of projection. Dems seem to think other people are as good as they want to be; Conservatives recognize that all people are equally capable of evil, especially people who are selling something...

Obama can not win here if his platform includes getting rid of guns. I look for a campaign photo shoot of him duck hunting with a 12-gauge. Hopefully he shoots better than he bowls.

I'd personally like to see him take a ride around in a tank or other armored vehicle for the cameras... Worked well for another candidate if I remember correctly!

re: #501 Pawn of the Oppressor

Wow ... you've got my attention here. What struck me was your reference to human nature -- that Dems can't cope with "the fundamentally selfish nature of humanity." This must be the crux of your argument. I agree.

BUT WHY? Why do some people persist in thinking other are fundamentally GOOD and then try their best to get the government to reign them in?

I'll try, but my night meds have really kicked in!
First of all, you can't go by the crooks in D.C. -Repub or Dem, cause I think they are almost all out only for themselves.
But philosophically - take a look at the difference in the way people in N.O. reacted to Katrina, compared to the way folks have more or less reacted in the equally devastated mid-west. N.O. had a Dem Governor of the State and a Dem Mayor and both seemed - to me at least - frozen with the enormity of the tasks set before them (unlike, for example, other folks in the Gulf Port region of the country which were equally devastated by Katrina) and from all I've seen and heard, the folks in the Mid-west are working their asses off to save and preserve as much as they can - yeah, they are taking any and all support they can get (I'm proud to say that Charlotte sent one or two FD EMT units and vehicles) but there first reaction wasn't to call for FEMA or for the President to do something and that's EXACTLY what happened in New Orleans.
Responsibility for your own actions or non-action is not something most dems I've known (and remember I lived and worked in Manhattan, NYC for 3+ years) seem capable of accepting. It's ALWAYS someone else's fault and establishing that is far more important than getting out of a bad situation and helping others to get out of it too.

I don't know. I think they may not have formed a clear picture of their own interests vs. the interests of others. Sort of like "I'm not selfish, so nobody else should be either!" Except of course they are no less selfish than anybody else.

The most strident Dem Good/Repub Evil, classic NYC Dem that I know, has suffered a lot of serious trauma in her life from a screwed-up family, lousy boyfriends, self-destructive tendencies, you name it, she did it, always punishing herself for something (and always to the point just shy of being in physical danger, but no further). She's been a victim of almost every imaginable type of rotten, abusive human behavior, and yet somehow she hasn't yet connected all the dots. She was all set to vote for a woman who, as we know, happily rode the coattails of an abuser for her own personal gain, and when I pointed this out she said that Hillary was "a strong woman".

I just don't have the smarts to figure these kinds of things out. I can only shake my head and guess that it really is a matter of connecting dots and seeing everybody as equally human. Once you realize that Hillary is as human as the Walgreens check-out girl then you can start making judgements, but until you get to a unified mental model of "human", you're going to elevate some people above others in an almost religious sense.

In the 9mm Vs .45 cal debate one must also remember that in home defense you are not limited to FMJ bullets.

Q. CorBon's self defense ammunition has an unexcelled reputation for stopping power. Why?
A. Stopping Power is more complicated than it sounds. An analysis of police shootings, and gelatin testing gives a percentage number relating to the number of times that only one shot was needed to stop an aggressor. We believe in this concept whole heatedly because actual results have verified it continuously year after year. Our ammunition is a top rated stopper in almost all the common self defense cartridges from 380 to 45 ACP. Stopping power is a combination of high velocity, meaning higher energy in each weight range, combined with a hollowpoint bullet that will expand rapidly, dumping all the available energy into the target. The faster this available energy is transferred into the target, the higher the stopping percentage.

Honestly, as a student of history myself, I think you may be barking up the wrong tree, herm. I would submit to you that it may be sustained prosperity that inevitably leads to a leftward slide. I fully realize that this wasn't the case in Russia at the time of the Soviet revolution, but observe what has happened in the U.S. and Europe, even after socialism as an eco-political institution has been thoroughly discredited. It has not been rampant poverty that has caused growth amongst the political left, but rather, the belief that wealth itself creates an incumbency upon society to take "care" of those who have less. In other words, the countries that "have" should help those within that "have not" (this ideological belief extends to the international realm, as well).

In our country, I think the domestic belief that health care is a "right" is a perfect example of this, and would make a great jumping-off point of a thesis or dissertation, depending upon which level you are at. Having been in academia before, though, I would not envy the reaction that you are likely to get from your peers...

One guy I saw on an article somewhere had a very good explanation for the so-called "Bradley effect." Truly undecided voters don't want to look like racists, so they will tell pollsters they are voting for the minority candidate long before they have actually made up their minds whio to vote for. Some will vote for that candidate, and some will actually go for his opponent.

This can explain the lowered amount of "undecided" voters, and Obama's supposed strength with "independent" voters.

Partial agreement, Pawn... Most of the younger adults today have been taught WHAT to think, not HOW to think for themselves...

That leaves them ill-equipped to "...form a clear picture of their own interests vs. the interests of others...", hence the ignorance of their own self...

Another aspect: no real religious grounding, leads to
"Be not of those who forget God, and whom God hath caused to forget their own selves."

When we haven't been raised to see ourselves in the image of the All-Knowing, All-Loving Creator, we can only think of God as 'up there' or 'out there', not as IN HERE, IN ME... hence the 'you're SELFISH!' plaint, with no distinction between HIGH self and low self...

Didn't know that about Thompson. Excellent choice, since lawyer Thompson has actually argued before the SC (IRRC).

And it was Thompson who took Chief Justice Roberts around when he was nominated and showed him what to expect and introduced him to everyone on Capital Hill- Both the normal folks, and the libs.

Well, LeePro, how are you feeling? Are all the facial/mouth problems working out slowly?

"...working out..." oh, my. More like yanking out. July 16 is D-day (D = dentures). They will drug me to oblivion. Will wake up to tongue trying to identify its environment.

Scared still.

Wonder what he will do when Obama drives the tank with a silly hat o and shows up a Denver Gun and Knife Show, cameras following. ("Damn, is this where Michelle got that blade?")

re: #551 hermeneutics

Well, good for you! I'm happy you didn't turn into a mush-brain while you were there, and it is great to be able to think freely, no? lol

The only caveat that I would add to your interpretation of my thesis would be that it isn't so much a belief amongst the wealthy that it is their responsibility to "give," but rather, a general perception that accumulated societal wealth creates the belief that "they" (RE: government) should "give" on behalf of that generally amassed wealth. I do agree that people begin to envision themselves as part of a larger society, as opposed to a group of atomized individuals, as you observe, but I don't think that is the primary motivation for motivating an adoption of liberal ideologies. Instead, I think the very idea that wealth exists, amongst those who do not understand how wealth is created or accumulated, is motivation enough to justify a belief that such wealth is the property of society at-large, rather than the individual.

The whole theory is absolutely disgusting from a moral and ideological standpoint, but I believe that it, unfortunately, has relavent real world applications.

No, you just need one of those nifty little keyboard skins that slip right over and keep it crumb free. They work really well, and don't get in the way of typing. It's scary to picture my white laptop keyboard after a week or so without one.

re: #551 hermeneutics

I have observed that "liberals" who have wealth and are Godless can trace their sense of societal-oblige to a guilt stressed upon them by parents whose guilt makes them do things and act in a way that is nonsensical, or it can be traced to a hatred of their parents lavish ways; either way these do-gooders rush pelmel to find something "comforting" to fill the void-- and the "state" becomes their ideal panacea.

Once they have fallen for the "state" cradle-to-grave omniscient machine (which they know will cure "society" of its ills,) they no longer have to think for themselves or worry about the poor, the destitute, the under-earning or under-achieving. In fact they parade the faceless mass of "poor" around like a circus side show act to make themselves feel better about this gnawing sense that there is still something missing. They replace faith in God and individual liberty with more and more government programs, more state sponsored relief that comes from piles of money from "society" -- and society caused the problems so society must PAY! (all the while forgetting that "society" is nothing more than many individuals with their own lives who pay taxes which "fund" the hairbrained and guilt induced spending sprees of the angry liberal politicians hell-bent on a state-panacea.)

These state-embracing do-gooders (who actually do NO good at all) cannot grasp the concept that individual liberty is something that invigorates like sunshine, that inspires and illumines the individual to strive and accomplish and to HELP his brother when he is in need -- all without government intervention. And when allowed to grow, individual liberty and responsible citizens can MORE than provide for their needy neighbors-- without a government agency or mandate.

These state-embracing do-gooders cannot see that this idea of liberty (NOT "rights") is precisely why billions flee FROM communist/authoritarian/facist countries, billions do not flee TO those countries.

At the end of the day, when the rubber must meet the road, these liberal do-gooders who embrace the panacea-state do not actually "give" liberally as individuals to other individuals in fact they are stingey to a fault; they do not have the compassion for individuals in need which they prefer to speak of so lavishly as some "group" that has been marginalized (in fact they will give a wide berth to a man asking for a dime on the corner of any street); and finally they prefer to spend "society's" monies on the poor and legislate compassion in the form of PC laws.

But if they have oratory skills and a certain blend of conviction and passion about their loony ideals, they can easily persuade listless, foundationless and lost individuals who have not yet determined the foundation of life and liberty for themselves and perhaps have had lots handed to them and thus wish to bite the hand that has fed them, wish to see "society" as to blame.... and they swoon and faint and buy into the panacea-state, not realizing that they are putting a noose around their own necks as they do so.

“Everybody’s worried about stopping terrorism. Well, there’s a really easy way: stop participating in it.” Noam Chomsky

This ... this represents the thought processes of an intellectual who
has benefited from thousands of years of civilization? Is this bit
of raw moronism what we have to show for the struggle to advance human knowledge? This is the end result of two decades worth of education?

We better start making escape plans from Planet Earth before the generations educated by Duhctor Chomsky come to power.

Is there any lower form of human being than one who believes that the undefended slaughter of innocent people is the only way to stop terrorism? This is... terrorism.

Noam is professor of Linguini or linguistics?

587 LeonidasOfSparta  Fri, Jun 27, 2008 8:04:39am

one day Noam will reap what he has sown... and when thieves break down his door (he has never participated in thieving so he has been instrumental in stopping all thefts, right?) and they rob him blind, beat him up and leave him rumpled and begging on the floor---perhaps then he will waken to the fact that his vocal stupidity HAS BEEN A TERRORIST ACT AGAINST ALL PERSONS.
