At the Official Barack Obama Blog Site: We Are All Palestinians

Sat, Jun 28, 2008 at 9:12:04 am PDT

Today’s episode of the ongoing lunacy and anti-Americanism at the official Barack Obama blog site features a piece by Ulf Erlingsson, PhD, pleading for people to support convicted Islamic Jihad kingpin Sami Al-Arian: my.barackobama.com | Ulf Erlingsson’s Blog: We are all Palestinians.

We are all Palestinians

When one people is oppressed, all of us are oppressed. What you do to any one of these you do to me, Jesus said. So we are all Palestinians. This is about a prisoner in America fighting for the Palestinians:

Tampa Bay Coalition for Justice and Peace
  April 29, 2008

Dr. Al-Arian Suspends Hunger Strike After 8 Weeks

VIRGINIA — Yesterday, on the 57th day of his hunger strike, Dr. Sami
Al-Arian suspended his fast, at the urging of his family, friends and
supporters. Dr. Al-Arian, who has lost more than 40 pounds, began the
hunger strike on March 3 to protest continued harassment and abuse of
power by the Justice Department. Early last week, as his blood pressure
and blood sugar reached dangerously low levels, Dr. Al-Arian collapsed
and lost consciousness at his cell in Hampton Roads Regional Jail and
was then examined by a doctor. Dr. Al-Arian drank no water for the
first 18 days of his fast. During his hunger strike, he was moved to
five different facilities a half dozen times.

Dr. Al-Arian was supposed to have been released on April 7. Since
April 14, he has been in total segregation, and living under harsh
conditions. He is not allowed any visitors and is given only two phone
calls a month. Though officials at Hampton Roads Regional Jail told Dr.
Al-Arian his conditions would improve and he would be moved into the
general population as soon as he began eating again, this has proven to
be a lie. Dr. Al-Arian remains in segregation although he has been
cleared medically. Please see the Action Alert below to demand that he
be treated humanely.

“Today Dr. Sami Al-Arian is an internationally recognized political
prisoner in America Over the last two decades, his legendry struggle
for the independence of Palestine has included five years of
incarceration, which continues, and two extended hunger strikes for
sixty days and fifty-seven days, respectively,” said Dr. Agha Saeed,
chair of the American Muslim Taskforce on Civil Rights and Elections.
“Just as Dr. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X symbolized the struggle
for human rights in the fifties and sixties, Dr. Sami Al Arian has come
to symbolize the current struggle for human rights. I am one of those
who had beseeched him to end his hunger strike and I am personally
indebted to him for accepting our request.”

“Sami Al-Arian has put his own life on the line for human dignity,
freedom, justice and peace,” said Muhammad Salim Akhtar, chairman of
American Muslim Alliance Midwest Region. “His resilience at the cost of
his own physical and mental suffering has become a source of strength
for people of conscience and high morals to unite across borders.”

Don't see Sami actually becoming a martyr...doesn't have the taste for it.

An ineffective hunger strike is just a diet.

Palestine... Atlantis... this guy has a penchant for imaginary places.

That they compare this vermin to Dr. King is beyond the pale. Don't remember Dr. King condoning violence at all.

I posted this on the open thread, but I think it is equally as valid here as it relates to Obama:

[Link: www.c-spanarchives.org...]
The link above is to a Senate Cmte on Foreign Relations hearing I attended in July of '06. The meeting was about US policy towards NK in the aftermath of NK's missile tests that summer.

At the meeting, I witnessed a young Obama, visibly asleep.

I am not sure if the C-Span coverage captured that, but if they did, it will be on that tape. If anyone has access to the video, it could be worth your while .
At the time I found it deplorable that a sitting US Senator could find our national security interests to be boring and now, in hindsight, I believe it shows his immense lack of experience and ignorance when it comes to our nation's security. I hope that the McCain Campaign will locate this video and do some gopher work to determine if it does, in fact, capture what I have described.

18 freetoken  Sat, Jun 28, 2008 9:21:48am

The actual Biblical quote I suspect the Obama blog writer had in mind is this:

Matt 25:

34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.

Far be it for me to be speaking for Jesus, but I rather doubt He was referring to the Al-Arian types as "brothers".

19 Pygmalienation  Sat, Jun 28, 2008 9:21:50am

Aww, c'mon Sami, surely you can go longer than 8 months. You DO want to be a martyr, don't you?

She also reads prolifically and enjoys carrying her own weight in rather heady political discussions we have around the dinner table. Furthermore, as a family, we share in the long standing Christian ethic of self sacrifice for the betterment of others, and self-reliance for our own benifit. In short, don't even think about slandering me and mine by calling us "Palestinians".

No, we are not all barbarians who believe killing Jews and kafirs will get us 72 9-year old girls to molest in heaven.

Palestinians are not victims. They choose to live in 6th century times and have squandered millions (if not billions) of dollars over the years and have nothing to show for it. No economy, no sense of direction, no purpose, other than to kill others for some pre-pubescent virgin girls.

Palestinians are proof positive that there is no such thing as "peace and tolerance" of others in islam.

This on going series of snuggling up to domestic and foreign terror groups on a US presidential website is appalling. Charles, thanks for doing the work the irresponsible US media will not do. This is so very sick that one of our candidates is allowing this material on their official website.
And it is a dereliction of duty that the media is not reporting this, because we all know damn well, that if Obama had an R after his name, it would be screamed from the rooftops.

It's horrible to see what happens to dhimmi populations wherever islam conquers. Ethnic cleansing and cultural erasure. Even European Colonialism-as bad as it was at times- tried to study and understand the cultures it was engaging. Islam want's to make like they never existed. This will have repercussions in the American Muslim community and throughout the world." (from June 27 WashPost Metro section article on p.2 by Jerry Markon)

"We Are All Palestinians"

Does anyone have a list of all of the terror acts committed in the name of the Palestinian quote 'cause'? Starting at least with the slaughter of Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics and progressing through tossing an invalid old man into the ocean from a cruise ship.
No, I am not in any way shape or form a Palestinian and it is inordinately offensive to Christians to raise the name of Jesus Christ in this discussion. Perhaps someone who, as a child, was registered in a school with his faith being listed as muslim (hint, hint) might consider that. Not me.

Plenty of American kids attend the Islamic Saudi Academies in Northern Virginia, having been born here to immigrant parents.

Laila Al Arian, Professor Sami Al Arian's daughter, is probably a US citizen, and now she's threatening to bring the wrath of the UMMAH (and Saudi funded CAIR) against the US for convicting her terror-supporting father.

Speaking of Obama, Ralph Peters kinda sorta skewers his "foreign affairs" advisers in today's NY Post. It's called Liars' Round-Up.

An excerpt:

Whopper No. 6: As president, Barack Obama would bring positive change to our foreign policy - and John McCain's too old to get it.

Hmm: Take a gander at Obama's senior foreign-policy advisers: Madeleine Albright (71), Warren Christopher (82), Anthony Lake (69), Lee Hamilton (77), Richard Clarke (57) . . .

If you added up their ages and fed the number into a time-machine, you'd land in Europe in the middle of the Black Death.

More important: These are the people whose watch saw the first attack on the World Trade Center, Mogadishu, Rwanda, the Srebrenica massacre, a pass for the Russians on Chechnya, the Khobar Towers bombing, the attacks on our embassies in Africa, the near-sinking of the USS Cole - oh, and the US bombing of the Chinese embassy in Belgrade.

Their legacy climaxed on 9/11.

You would not believe the agents that are left. Be prepared for the most unprofessional group of slackers, misfits, and barely communicative people on the face of this planet. You're supposed to keep your house cleaner than a four star hotel and let anyone in off the street (without any pre-screening) at a moments notice. I don't play that game. You might want to brush up on your psychology principles before you go on the market, too. You'll see more than a little of that pressure.
You might want to consider buying a FSBO sign now. Enjoy nice people who are pleasant, and schedule appointments when it is convenient. Before you drop into the rats nest that has been taken over by the quote professionals. Do I sound pissed off? Multiply by 100.

Now liberals are wetting themselves before the altar of the Rock Star Racialist Radical candidate they've been waiting for.

St. Obama annointed Hillary the Lionhearted with his essence of Rock, and a $2300 check (alms for the poor).

If you live here on the Gulf Coast they are all lazy! The real estate folks here are all looking for that million dollar beach property closing, and anything less they loom at it like it's got shit on it. It amazes me here! They've been fat and happy for waaaay too long. Y'all know I just moved from Mobile Bay to Pensacola (actually Perdido Bay). I listed my house with two agents for a total of a year. Now mind you, my Mobile house was 3 blocks from the bay. They showe it once..between the two of them! I even gave them leads. Then the bottom fell out of the market and I finally sold it for an 8k loss in equity just so I could go ahead and relocate. I'm glad I did because it has gotten worse. There was a condo auction the other day, and 2/2 condos went for less than 100k! I'm bitter too at the sloth, and I hope the real estate agents suffer so maybe they can get hungry again! if I were Kilgore I'd hold out if I could.

Congratulations, I remember my parents bought their house "For Sale By Owner" and never had a problem. The seller was a retired military selling to an active military, with a HANDSHAKE. Their word was their bond. What a concept huh.

That is what gave us the idea. We were looking at houses with our agent and after looking at the fifth one for the day that didn't match what we had asked of him when we drove past a sign that was FSBO. We called first, scheduled a time to look later that evening, and made an offer while we were there. They asked to meet with us a few more times so that they could get to know us better (they got along with the neighbors pretty good and had made a promise not to just let anyone buy).

After seeing how easy it was to sell by owner, I said no way to the agent! Like they always say, "try it on your own first before paying someone else to do it for you."

And democrat flacks have the nerve to say it's really OLD FASHIONED for McCain ads to call Obama "Dr. No" like in the James Bond movies! Obama is Dr. No when it comes to increasing America's energy supply, and McCain is right to point that out.

Who's re-living 1968? Democrats.

So what's wrong with a groovy circa 1962 reference, when Bond movies are back in the cinemas?

I went through few agents last time I was house shopping. A lazy real estate agent is worthless.

A shockingly large percentage of real estate agents are lazy-ass bastards. I know this for a fact, because I'm in the business (I'm not an agent, btw), and my dad was a broker for 20 years before he quit. He can't even count how many sales he lost over the years because the other party's agent didn't do his/her job.

Not to mention that JFK thought that forward positioning nuclear missiles in Turkey was a good thing. I can still picture my father and mother cleaning and stocking our "fall-out" shelter when the Russians responded by placing nukes in Cuba and plans were being made to evacuate both New York and Washington DC. Experience matters in a President. My number one issue with the Obamessiah is his total lack.

Yes. In addition to lack of experience, Obama is also grossly negligent when it comes to recent history, even of marxism's defeat in oh say, Europe and the former USSR, and the massive failure of Islam to bring billions of people out of the 7th century.

A man had lost one of his arms in an accident. One day he felt terribly
depressed and decided to commit suicide.

He got into an elevator and went to the top of a building to jump off. He
was standing on the ledge looking down and saw this man skipping along,
whistling and kicking up his heels.

He looked closer and saw this man didn't have any arms at all.

He started thinking, what am I doing up here feeling sorry for myself. I
still have one good arm to do things with. There goes a man with no arms
skipping down the sidewalk happy and going on with his life.

He hurried down to the street and caught up to the man with no arms. He told
him how glad he was to see him because he had lost one of his arms and felt
ugly and useless, and was going to kill himself. He thanked him again for
saving his life and he knew he could make it with one arm if that guy could
go on with no arms.

The man with no arms began dancing and kicking up his heels again.

The one armed man asked, 'why are you so happy anyway?'

He said, 'I'm NOT happy .... my ass itches

When one people is oppressed, all of us are oppressed. What you do to any one of these you do to me, Jesus said. So we are all Palestinians.

I think the author of this misguided theology may be a little confused about some things.

First it is worth noting that Jesus [Yehoshua ben Maryam] was a Jew from the tribe of Judah.

Second, He never condoned the murder of innocents whether the cause was righteous and justified or not.

When He he spoke of loving one's enemies, of doing good to those who mistreat you, of blessing those who curse you, of allowing those who strike you on one cheek to strike you on the other as well, He wasn't just using some rhetorical device or allegory. He meant what he said.

He also said that we should defend the poor, the orphans, widows and the helpless. Of the Israelis and the Palestinians, which group randomly kills and which group tries to only target malefactors and defend the helpless?

It seems tome the author of this piece is a little confused about Jesus' "patronage" in this matter.

It wasn't just George Bush. Not long ago, Charlie Rangel pilloried the big New York mortgage bankers for not doing business in the "minority communities" and threatened federal investigations into "red lining" if they didn't make efforts to give loans to the "underprivileged". Now, 6 or 7 years later, he's blaming those same bankers for all the foreclosures in the "minority communities", without the slightest hint of irony.

I'm just frustrated. The buyers want to look at a house and the agents want to appear hard-working, industrious, whatever. So this is what I get:
*phone rings*
Me: "Yes?"
My agent office: "We have an agent that would like to show your home at 1:00 o'clock."
Me: "Today?"
My agent office: "Yes. Is that a problem?"
Me: "It's 12:45! No one has looked at the place in a month and you want me to open the doors in 15 minutes?"
My agent office: "Should I tell them it's not convenient today?"
Me: "Yes."
What happens is they never call back and reschedule. Which tells me that some potential buyer got all excited, the agent wanted to show off, and when the agent got a chance to run the buyers numbers, figured out they couldn't afford the place. Six times this has happened so far this year. I think the buyers agent has a responsibility to pre-screen people before ramming a showing down the sellers throat.

Second, with respect to Mugger Mugabe of Rhodesia, why have no liberals rushed into Spanish Court, or Italian Court, or French Court, to issue a war crime complaint against him, like they do for any Israeli they detest? Seems to me they must have these complaints computerized and ready to crank out the moment some Israeli gov't official decides to visit Europe. So why haven't they brought one to Court in the past two months, given what has transpired in Rhodesia?

He should have expired by now if he was serious.
Or is this one of these Leftist 'Hunger Strikes' where you can eat as much as you want ... Provided it's 'for the cause' and you only fast when the press are in the vicinity.

His first request was a ride to Wendy's for a wet and juicy double decker with cheese... and a side of fries.

I'll continue to say what I've always said: If you are a Jew and/or a supporter of Israel, and you are going to vote for this guy, you're remarkably stupid, mind-numbingly naive, or blinded by ideology. Or all three.

In Islam when someone converts to Judism or Christiany, by their law they he is to be put to death. Can anyone explain to me why the muslims in America and the Arab world support and are proud of Barack Hussein Obama?

We all better hope so, because Obama will be a 21st century version of President Peanut Farmer.

"The Koran is our constitution... Jihad is our path ... Victory to Islam... Death to Israel... Revolution... revolution till the victory."--Sami Al-Arian, 1991

Al-Arian is not an "oppressed" Palestinian, he's not an American. He's an Islamic jihadist who just happens to live in America (though not for much longer), and he should have been kicked out of America when he made those statements back in 1991.

This guy Ulf Erlingsson apparently isn't an America either. And, I don't see why we should be letting Swedish nationals into our country to agitate on behalf of their jihadist friends, or to intefere in American politics or tell us how our justice system ought to be run.

“This is all books which my brother has written or are writing. Hopefully all will be finished so I can read them. If you are interested in buying the book about Atlantis I have several copies at home.”

“I sell this book together with my brother, Ulf Erlingsson, PhD in Physical Geography. We distribute all over the planet. Without freight it costs 150skr ($16.95). This book is very unique in its attempt to unveile the truth. The publisher writes this about the book:

“A scientific study of the Atlantis myth, by a doctor in geography, has resulted in the conclusion that with 99.98% probability, the hypothesis is correct.”

=

What Ulfie and his brother in Sweden are not telling you, is that Ulfie is the sole publisher of the Ireland is Atlantis book that Ulfie himself wrote.

This is fundamentally dishonest sock puppetry.

But I suppose we should expect no less from somebody who may have broken federal election law by donating to an election campaign while not a US citizen, claims that “we are all Palestinian,” claims that this war is “endless and illegal,” and makes a living scamming the UN and George Soros for grants while ripping off poor Central American nations for hang gliding vacations.

Another “typical” Obama supporter...

In Islam to convert to Christianity or Judaism is punishable by death by the law and in the Koran. So how come the Muslim in America and the world support and admire Barak Hussein Obama..... a Trojan horse perhaps?

It means they have vehicles that run.

The claim that Jesus was a Palestinian appears to have originated as pure fabrication by Yassar Arafat.

[Link: www.haaretz.com...]

It seems kind of ridiculous, since there has never been any nation of Palestine (or more accurately Palestina, its Roman name) except when it was the homeland of the Jews millennia ago. The name stared in about 132 AD, long after Jesus, when the Romans, after crushing the Jewish uprising under led by Bar-Cochba, gave the area that name to insult the Jews by naming their land after their traditional enemy, the Philistines.

But since I've seen that crazy claim twice now, I wonder if Pallywood has also provided some rationalization for its obviously fake claim.

I support Al-Arian 100% to hunger strike for as long as he wants. I would also urge him to go on a water strike as well. Going without food you can last 40-60 days. Water,,, 3-4 and then death. So Sami if you are out there, show us what you are made of.

Obamaton 1: What was that?

Obamaton 2: I think that was Ulf Erlingsson going under the bus.

Dr. Sami Al-Arian.

Seems too close to Al-ARYAN.

Maybe he prefers the pistol and cyanide diet like his furher and his bride.
