It's quite disturbing to read, but not unusual.

I should also point out that there are a lot of Muslims with active commercial drivers licenses here in the US. An 18 wheel truck with 20 tons of cargo can do a lot of damage in hands of someone with sudden jihad syndrome.

When they start turning items common in modern society, like front-end loaders, into weapons of mass destruction, the larger point about them needing to live somewhere else maybe starts getting clearer for people.

I had to stop reading about this on the Washington Post because the comments sections were turning into St. Pancake memorials. In a letter released by his military secretary, Brig. Gen. Eitan Dangut, Barak wrote that the defense establishment and government must not fail to respond to a situation wherein a terrorist bearing an Israeli ID carries out a nationalistically- motivated attack in the heart of Israel.

Earlier in the day Prime Minster Ehud Olmert issued a similar call to raze the home of 31-year-old Hossam Dawyyat, the Palestinian bulldozer driver who carrie out the attack.

The prime minister also maintained that the social security benefits of the terrorist's family should be annulled.

I'm an American, and in this case I'd like to influence Israeli policy with a "business donation" of my own. I was watching that Heineken commercial where people go around giving random strangers a bottle of Heineken as a random act of kindness. There are all sorts of people...old hippies, punks, preppies, cowboys, even a traditional Hindu wedding. I noticed that there were no Muslims in the commercial, and realized that it was because if you offered one of them a beer, he'd likely be insulted and disgusted and call you an insensitive jerk. In fact, if an actor in Muslim dress were depicted happily accepting a beer on TV, there would probably be a mini grievance theater put on by CAIR et. al. the day after it aired.

I noticed that there were no Muslims in the commercial, and realized that it was because if you offered one of them a beer, he'd likely be insulted and disgusted and call you an insensitive jerk. In fact, if an actor in Muslim dress were depicted happily accepting a beer on TV, there would probably be a mini grievance theater put on by CAIR et. al. the day after it aired.

GIVING A BEER TO SOMEONE YOU MIGHT WANT TO DRINK A BEER WITH, can't say i would want to do that with a muslim commerical works for me.

At least they have uncovered this one. When I was actively investigating cults we ran into rings like this all the time. If it had anything to do with "cultic" behavior -- wearing masks, staging rituals, killing animals -- we were told it was all "fantasy" or "coached" testimony. There was a perv couple who used to write articles for pedophile magazines who would show up as defense "experts". If it is just adult pervs dragging their kids into a "swingers" ring, well, that's "believable". The kids are just as destroyed and/or dead and it doesn't matter what the trimmings consist of. There is more of this than most people can possibly imagine and I know of at least one case in which a perp has managed to entrench himself in a high security position via blackmail of politicos and other high-prophile creeps like himself.

Plus, if we point out that there are millions of little girls in the Islamic world being dragged into sex at age 9 because of the example set by the Prophet (piss be upon him) we are being "racist". Or we are "insulting their religion".

I don't know if you saw my final recommendation for a book called "Lost Chicago," which has pix of buildings torn down over the years.

Also, there is a book called "Lords of the Levee," about machine politicians Hinky Dink Kenna and Bathhouse John Coughlin, who ruled the First Ward (the red light district) for many years.

A great companion book to "Lost Chicago" is the biography of Richard Nickel - "They All Fall Down". He spent his final years photographing the architectural wonders of Chicago before they were lost to the wrecking ball. Many of the great pieces of architecture were destroyed by Mayor Daley. Unfortunately, Nickel was killed in one of the buildings during the process of demolition while documenting the process. He saved many pieces of Louis Sullivan's buildings - where they now sit in a field in Edwardsville IL.
