Tue, Jul 8, 2008 at 6:26:14 pm PDT

I just turned on Fox News, and I shouldn’t have, because there’s Pat Buchanan again on Hannity and Colmes.

And Hannity is putting him on for two segments again, because you can never get enough of old Pat.

William F. Buckley is spinning.

2 Muadib  Tue, Jul 8, 2008 6:27:52pm

It's pat.

3 Carridine  Tue, Jul 8, 2008 6:28:48pm

I'd like to get it down Pat...

I hit pause on my DVR while putting my little girl to bed, so I'm watching Mitt Romney on said H&C. Good stuff, actually. Damn, why didn't we nominate him, again?

6 Shug  Tue, Jul 8, 2008 6:29:52pm

He should head back to MSNBC ( and take Beckel with him )

7 DeathtotheSwiss  Tue, Jul 8, 2008 6:30:22pm

"It" being the key word.

8 JammieWearingFool  Tue, Jul 8, 2008 6:30:48pm

Beckel, Buchanan and now they added the unctuous and oily Howard Wolfson. Hey, why not bring back Wesley Clark?

Well the other downside of that is that Hannity and Colmes are on there too. I'm watching a re-run of Bones on TNT.

FOX continues, completely unaware it seems, to slide into irrelevance.

I gave up on them awhile ago- I really don't miss them.

Boring and predictable. Give me the alleged toe-sucker any time instead.

I do the same when Whore-aldo is on, too.

Because the Republicans decide the Democrat candidate and the Democrats decide the Republican candidate. I'm not sure this is what the founding fathers had in mind, but it seems the natural consequence of treating the selection of the POTUS as nothing of more consequence than texting your vote on American Idol.

Ok , I could stand another point of view. After 9/11 I have a much greater appreciation for what Israel is really up against & Buchanan just sounds now like an anti Semite.

I just don't get it. How does he draw a big enough audience share to rate the airtime and deference he is shown on the Fox networks? It absolutely baffles me.

34 Shay4l  Tue, Jul 8, 2008 6:39:16pm

In his senior year he received a traffic violation. Believing that his ticket was wrongfully given, he verbally and physically assaulted the police. He was arrested, fined, and had a minor police record.

He injured my future father in law seriously enough so that he had to leave the DC police force on physical disability, losing a hell of a pension. It was all swept under the rug. I hate the man on behalf of my wife.

Alan just pointed out to Pat that his position on Iraq is identical to Obama's. Pat stumbled over that one for a while and then said Obama is naive.

I can't imagine they don't know what people think about crazy old Pat. It's been a while since last time we watched H&C and it will be a while till we watch again.

It doesn't seem that any of them are getting the message... Papa bear keeps interviewing the dude on radio - and Hannity on camera.

Well- that and the raving pit bulls like Bill O- and Sean isn't much better. I remember the last time I watched H & C, Sean completely reminded me of a pit bill and would not stop asking the same question to his guest. 20 times he must have asked- what a waste of my time, and a real turn off.

Wow. No kidding.

I had often heard the Buchanan assault story, which he always cheerfully laughed off as "applying a size 11 [or something] Florsheim where it would do some good." Ha ha! Assaulting a cop is funny! But I didn't know it lead to lasting damage. What a scumbag.

You know, after 9/11, my TV stayed on FNC to the pont that after about 4 years, the logo burned into the screen and I had to buy a new television.

It's true! It's true! The news has made it clear.
Obama must be perfect all the year.

A law was made a distant moon ago here:
No one shall put Obama on the spot
And Oprah is the only show allowed here

Tough questions are forbidden till December
And exits polls are rigged right on the spot
Hope and Change , it lingers through November
In Scamalot

Scamalot! Scamalot!
That reverend is a bit bizarre,
But in Scamalot , Scamalot
That's how conditions are.
The media may not approach till after sundown.
By eight, the questioners must disappear.
In short, there's simply not
A more congenial spot
For happily-ever-aftering than here
In Scamalot.

Scamalot! Scamalot!
I know it gives a person pause,
But in Scamalot, Scamalot.
Those are the legal laws.
Difficult press conferences are not allowed here
By nine p.m. his talking points appear.
In short, there's simply not
A more congenial spot
For happily-ever-aftering than here
In Scamalot.

if you just look at hitler's voracious appetite to conquer europe you know buchanan is a liar, twisting history.
once hitler conquered or absorbed all the german speaking countries he did not become a peace loving, peace seeking dictator.
he went into poland, france, and pounded the hell out of the brits. he did not seek to end the war.
he became an obsessed sob and put into play his plan for the genocide of the jews and all the other "undesirables" in europe. he wasn't going to stop.
buchanan is trying to soften the image of a monstrous person.

BUCHANAN FAMILY VALUES QUIZ

Pat Buchanan has been making a living for years promoting himself as an advocate of "family values". Which of the following best describes the "values" of the Buchanan family?

a) Pop Buchanan horsewhipping his antisemitism into the kids after getting all hot and sweaty listening to one of Father Couhglin's rants.

b) The five Buchanan brothers always sticking together to beat up blacks and Jews because they can't quite screw up the courage to jump someone with only three or four on one.

Shame on Fox. Shame on Hannity.

Glad the antisemitic Buchanan family line, which has never failed to defend an accused Nazi, is barren.

Get the sumbitch (OK, that was mean to innocent female dogs) off of TownHall and WND, too.

Really ought to get a list of Hannity's advertisers to get them to tell Hannity to never have Pat on again.

Left and right unite, as always, in their common antisemitic goals.

The American far right and left were the same in their deadly isolationism in the 1930s.

I was waiting for the local news and watching this to pass the time. I, like many others here, used to watch Fox 24/7 and now I'm down to just watching Bret Hume.

I was barely paying attention to Coppel talking about China, when Colmes said the most ridiculous thing; it went something along the lines of "Isn't it true that the Chinese people like the totalitarian treatment (of the government)?)"

Coppel, said, "No, they like the freedom of capitalism better."

I knew he was a lefty idiot, I didn't know he was an apologist for Dictatorships. If Hannity said "Didn't the blacks like slavery?" you know he'd be fired the next day!

I hope someone else caught that, because Hannity didn't say anything about it after the break, (that was right after Coppels response) but they were laughing about something (probably how bat turd crazy Spock is) when they returned from it.

How can we miss him when he won't go away? The Man IS NOT a conservative! he does NOT speak for me! he hates and always has hated the Bush family and goes well out of his way to criticize them if not take them down. He has not, nor ever will be a Reagonite, he was a Nixonian and one of the few in that administration that didn't go to jail. I have no idea how the hell he was given a conservative voice, but I wish somebody would tell him to shut the hell up

I have hated Pat the Rat for a long time. I remember seeing that jerkwad on the Mclaughlin Group, when screetchie, voiced, Buchanan, praised adolf as a "man of great courage". Pat the Rat, is an admirer of Father Coughlin, who himself worshipped adork, and had a radio show through 1944 on CBS. Let us not forget how often, Pat appeared on Left Lib, Chris Mathews shows too. Showing that both soft and old totalitarians, can always unite against a common foe- This Republic.

112 Lawrence Schmerel  Wed, Jul 9, 2008 4:30:01am

I was listening to Sean Hannity on the way home from work and heard him announce on his radio show that Pat Buchanan would be on is TV show tonight.

I did not watch the show on Fox and it won't be long before I turn Sean Hannity off my radio too if he doesn't ditch Pat Buchanan.

113 Peacekeeper  Wed, Jul 9, 2008 5:43:12am

I saw this broadcast, they are still pimping Herr Buchanan's book length apology for Hitler. Hannity's brand is falling fast. If Hannity still thinks Buchanan is cool then one wonders what else he is wrong about.

114 FIVEOFNINE  Wed, Jul 9, 2008 6:25:35am

They should put Geraldo Rivera and Buchanan together on their own program, call Dumb and Dumber.

115 Crimsonfisted  Wed, Jul 9, 2008 6:35:42am

This is the reason I no longer watch H and C.

118 neoconundrum  Wed, Jul 9, 2008 6:50:09am

I just got an email back from Debbie Schlussel, she claims Sean Hannity and Joe Farah are both pals of Pat Buchanan. She said their claims of being pro-Israel are just "pretend".

What a disappointment.

Now the only goys I can rely on is George Bush, Dick Cheney and Charles Johnson;)

What say thee?

119 Land Shark  Wed, Jul 9, 2008 7:33:59am

I used to like Sean Hannity but his infatuation with Buchanan has made it so I can't stand the guy. What he sees in this dufus is beyond me. He's doing the conservative cause a great diservice by peddling this Nazi apologist on his radio and TV shows.

Just say no to Nazis, Sean!

re: #119 Land Shark

I would add that Bill O'Reily makes me wince with his lovefest interview of mel gibson.

re: #120 paybacktime

Me too. I used to like Mel Gibson a lot. I still enjoy his movies but he sure turned out to be just another anti-semitic douchebag. I've never liked O'Reily anyway, way to pompous and full of himself. It's getting so the only consevative pundit I like is Limbaugh.

122 melkor  Wed, Jul 9, 2008 10:10:23am

O'Reilly is a blowhard who loves himself so much he wishes he was double jointed, so he could love himself s'more. Outside of Dennis Miller, his show is unwatchable.

Hannity seems like a nice guy with a big heart, but his insistence on putting on retards like Morris, race-baiters like Sharpton, and pseudo-Gestapo-wannabees like Buchanan is making HIS show well-nigh unwatchable. Not to mention Colmes, who appears to be a reasonable lefty until he ducks every tough question by changing the subject, or talks over guests when they make a point he can't refute.

Consider this: FOX is annoying and reaching for the heights of suck-dom, but they are the best cable news outlet by a LONG way!

However, their women are surface of the sun hot, and Red Eye is hilarious. There's that...

123 Maine's Michael  Wed, Jul 9, 2008 12:36:05pm

The way Fox is starting to really, really suck (as opposed to the regular sucking of their 'morning show for dummies'), their most realistic, best hope is for Greta 'I love white girl murders' vanSustern to plot, carry out, and then investigate her own murder-kidnapping.

124 Maine's Michael  Wed, Jul 9, 2008 12:41:57pm

FOx motto:

"No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public, or its appetite for grisly white girl kidnappings and murders."

Not quite sure where crypto Nazis come into it, though.

Hannity is perhaps just trying to slip that one by. Shame on him.

I agree, the only reason to watch phone-sex-harasser O'Reilly is for the Dennis Miller segments.

125 Babydoc97  Wed, Jul 9, 2008 2:52:37pm

I emailed Townhall.com and respectfully asked them to reconsider publishing any of Buchanan's writings until he publicly renounces his disreputable and bizarre revisionist history. I told them to read 'Mein Kampf' - written BEFORE Hitler came to power in Germany - and tell Pat to try squaring his idiotic theories about WWII being unnecessary with Hitler's previously declared intent in 'Mein Kampf'.

For three days I was unable to log-in to TownHall from the computer I had sent that email....

PAT PUKEANAN = STICK DRECK

127 SecondComing  Wed, Jul 9, 2008 4:29:49pm

I turned on the radio this afternoon and Hannity was on(I haven't listened to him in years) guess who he had as a guest? Yep, good ole Pat. Looks like I've not been missing much.
