Pat Buchanan Appears on Neo-Nazi Radio Show

Wed, Jul 9, 2008 at 1:33:13 pm PDT

That’s right; Pat Buchanan, who is a frequent guest on both Fox News and MSNBC, appeared recently on an infamous “white nationalist” radio show to promote his revisionist World War II book: Pat Buchanan Advertises His Book On Neo-Nazi Radio Show.

On June 29th, MSNBC personality and three-time presidential candidate Pat Buchanan appeared on a neo-Nazi radio program to promote his new revisionist history of the Second World War, Churchill, Hitler, and the Unnecessary War: How Britain Lost Its Empire and the West Lost the World. James Edwards is the host of the program “Political Cesspool,” the stated mission of which is to “represent a philosophy that is pro-White.” Edwards and his colleauges seek “to revive the White birthrate above replacement level fertility and beyond to grow the percentage of Whites in the world relative to other races” and believe that “Secession is a right of all people and individuals. It was successful in 1776 and this show honors those who tried to make it successful in 1865.”

According to the researchers at the Anti-Defamation League, who listened to the show, Buchanan defended Charles Lindbergh, saying, “...his reputation has been blackened because of a single speech he gave and a couple of paragraphs in it where he said that ... the Jewish community is beating the drums for war ... but frankly, no one has said what he said was palpably untrue.”

Buchanan is in good company. Perusing the guest list of Political Cesspool, one sees Willis Carto, (perhaps the most prominent anti-Semite in America), Mark Weber (Director of the Institute for Historical Review, a Holocaust denial outfit) and Jared Taylor, the editor of American Renaissance, a eugenicist publication. A political cesspool indeed. Calling Buchanan a “brownshirt” a few weeks ago may have seemed a little impertinent at the time, but it’s entirely accurate.

If you were paying attention during the battles over the Belgian Vlaams Belang party, the name of that radio show may be familiar to you; other guests of “The Political Cesspool” have included David Duke and Vlaams Belang leaders Filip DeWinter and Frank Vanhecke: Vlaams Belang and the US White Supremacist Cesspool.

Here’s a photograph of old Pat having a meeting with DeWinter and Vanhecke last year:

What is surprising is that this man continues to fill airtime on MSNBC.

I know him, not personally, but I have met him. And he was on the board of the SCFD, the cultural taxing authority here in the Denver area, and he was one of the board members responsible for giving the theatre I work for money every year.

FOX NEWS IN POSSESSION OF TAPE AND WILL PLAY IN ENTIRETY TONIGHT ON 'O'REILLY', 'HANNITY AND COLMES'; OBAMA: NO COMMENT... DEVELOPING...

CNN:

The Rev. Jesse Jackson issued an apology to Barack Obama Wednesday for criticizing the Illinois senator's recent comments directed toward some members of the black community.

According to Jackson, a Fox News microphone picked up comments he meant to deliver privately that seemed to disparage the presumptive Democratic nominee for appearing to lecture the black community on morality.

Jackson didn't elaborate on the context of his remarks, except to say he was trying to explain that Obama was hurting his relationship with black voters by recently conducting "moral" lectures at African-American churches.

"For any harm or hurt that this hot mic private conversation may have caused, I apologize," Jackson said in a statement issued to CNN. "My support for Senator Obama’s campaign is wide, deep and unequivocal. I cherish this redemptive and historical moment."

Charles, I'm glad you're keeping on this story. Buchanan has weaseled his way back into the mainstream and I hope exposing this interview helps kick him back out like Buckley did in '91.

This isn't just flirting with antisemitism, this is out-and-out antisemitism. Buchanan has crossed a line and any media that treats him as a respectable person I judge to be A-OK with antisemitism. So goodbye and good riddance to Fox News from me. This is the last straw. I complained to FOX several times but now I'm finished with complaining and onto boycotting. Hmm, I know how unpopular it is to speak ill of noteworthy religious figures, and yet I'm compelled to offer I can't stand Pat Buchanan, and I find Fox News even more revolting since they've opened their arms to him.

Buchanan falls under that "tiny minority of Catholic/Christian extremists" I find just as contemptible as any other religious zealots; Islamic, Neo Nazi, and FLDS included.

They aren't just nuts. They're dangerous. Worse, these same types will continue to scratch and claw to gain more of a following wielding the double-edged sword of "respecting all religions", all the while they whine about their beliefs being under attack. (Obviously, the Palestinians don't have the market cornered on whining.)

Well, I don't respect all religions. I also eat crackers in bed and I dospeak ill of (some of the) the dead and dying, so I guess I'm an A1 asshole. Even so, I guess I'm not enough of an asshole to get a guest spot on Fox News, so I'm not as successful an asshole as Pat Buchanan.

A quote from my link.

Praise For Hitler

In 1977, Buchanan wrote:

"Those of us in childhood during the war years were introduced to Hitler only as caricature. ... Though Hitler was indeed racist and anti-Semitic to the core, a man who without compunction could commit murder and genocide, he was also an individual of great courage, a soldier's soldier in the Great War, a political organizer of the first rank, a leader steeped in the history of Europe, who possessed oratorical powers that could awe even those who despised him."

He went on to say:

"Hitler's success was not based on his extraordinary gifts alone. His genius was an intuitive sense of the mushiness, the character flaws, the weakness masquerading as morality that was in the hearts of the statesmen who stood in his path."

*puke*

162 yochanan  Wed, Jul 9, 2008 2:41:52pm

He has expressed his admiration for Francisco Franco and Joseph McCarthy (not to mention Hitler), and during the Iran Contra scandal said that reporters should be "Americans first and reporters second" - in other words, suppress free speech to help Reagan cover up a scandal.

Several prominent Republicans and conservatives have come to this conclusion. "Flirting with fascism" is how William Bennett described Buchanan. Both William F. Buckley, Joshua Muravchik (a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute) and William Safire (Pat's fellow speech writer on the Nixon staff) have all concluded that Buchanan showed consistent (if carefully worded) hostility toward Jews throughout his public statements. Even Alan Keyes "confronted top Buchanan aides and angrily accused them of appealing to racist and anti-Semitic voters" after the WMUR debate in New Hampshire this year.

Abu Dhabi fund snaps up NY's Chrysler Building

NEW YORK (AFP) — The cash-rich Abu Dhabi Investment Council has bought one of New York's best-known skyscrapers, the Chrysler Building, for a heady 800 million dollars, sources close to the deal said Wednesday.

Despite a sharp downturn in the US housing market in recent years, bidding for landmark New York properties has remained sky-high, showing investors still covet prestigious Manhattan properties.

The deal's price tag means the Middle East fund paid over 10 million dollars for each floor of the iconic 77-story Art Deco skyscraper which is situated in "Midtown" opposite Grand Central station.

164 lostlakehiker  Wed, Jul 9, 2008 2:43:45pm

If you know who you are, shout it out.

CESSPOOL!

It's an old tactic. Confess up front to a degree of tackiness. It helps to hide the reality: that you're morally grossly deformed.

Another old tactic: link your message to some little valid sidebar point. The "Cesspool" wants the white birthrate to go up. Across much of that part of the world where almost everybody knows how to read and write, the birthrate is below replacement. Nothing wrong with saying that should change, and if it did change, en passant, the white birthrate would go up. So too would the Japanese and Chinese rate. But why should the white rate go up while China sticks rigidly to a one-child policy? Why should Japan empty out? And how in the name of God do you rationalize separating out that majority of jews who are white from the ranks of "whites" and thus removing them, too, from your list of peoples whose birthrate arguably needs to go up?

Ratings influence everything/everyone in that business, but I believe Ingraham and Hannity cater to Buchanan mainly out of ideological (in their minds, at least) loyalty. Buchanan was "their" during the Nixon and Reagan administrations, and therefore, he is (in their minds) a conservative elder-statesman.

*puke*

I know of strains of this line of thought going back to the 70s in people who have turned up at high levels of national security. It gives me the creeps to think of who else may be out there operating on the same premises, just not spouting them in public, and to wonder just whose side they are on.

Well, this is America- so sean has the right to associate with whom he will. BUT- I also have the right to not support his very public career. If people have been writing to sean, with no luck thus far, then perhaps it's time to take it to the next level. Perhaps it's time to let the corporation(s) and their advertisers know exactly why they will not be receiving support or business from people like us anymore.

Yes, it is sickening. It's hard to believe that PukeCannon and his ilk are merely being objective and detached, or that they are honestly looking for the good in even the worst person. OTOH I do not have a problem being reminded that even the monstrous Hitler was a human being, because it makes us mindful that it won't necessarily take the Devil incarnate to trigger another Holocaust.

Sharm! What happened with the ducks? A mallard hen and 4 ducklings went by me on the beach the other day and I thought of you.

Why does any major media outlet like Pat Buchanan?

If there be any doubt of Buchanan's anti-Semitism,he Pat Buchanan, wrote an Op-Ed comment in the NY Times----"Acquit Demjanjuk: The Case Is Weak
Published": March 31, 1987. He was a staunch defender of this Nazi guard whose US citizenship has been revoked.

i particularly hate the finaglers because they try to pretend that after a lot of thought and consideration, they have come up w/ a reasonable angle to admire the sob. they don't have the guts to just say out right that they like him.

Absolutely!
Reading over this thread, I've been trying to draw a line in my mind between acknowledgement and admiration....whatever. Maybe your word OBJECTIVE is the one I'm looking for.
There's nothing wrong with noting that Hitler was an effective orator and organizer and nothing wrong with noting that he knew how to manipulate events and exploit his opponents weaknesses. We ignore these things at our peril.
But there is a line between objectively recognizing Hitler's cleverness and admiring him.
I can't see that line clearly enough to draw it on a chart, but I can smell it when it's been crossed.

Elsewhere on the web, a very wise woman once suggested -- to a dude who was a little overly-prone to "recognizing the cleverness" of Nazis -- that he try admiring leafcutter ants instead. (Leafcutter ants are almost as bright as the average Nazi, much more organized and efficient, and far less dangerous to human beings.)

213 PrairieWind  Wed, Jul 9, 2008 4:11:02pm

Why are people suddenly discovering that Pat Buchanan is less than
a friend to Israel (and Jews)? Or that he's a stuttering idiot?

I have a new theory about the political spectrum. Whenever one
end of it widens to allow more crackpots, the other end reacts by also expanding and allowing more crackpots. The left has now expanded to permit its deep-end brethren of the anti-Semitic persuasion to spout -- now the right is doing the same. Bill Buckley is spinning in his grave.

"The more things CHANGE, the more they remain the SAME."

Pat Buchanan is not only a crackpot, he's a dumbass. Send a protest e-mail to FoxNews and forget this loser.

I'm glad this wise woman did not use fire ants as her substitutes. Fire ants have no reason to exist. God created them specifically to be made extinct. It is every human's duty to kill as many fire ants as possible.

Thus sayeth anyone ever bitten.

Pat Buchanan, Darling of the Christian Coalition ring any bells? Mr. Catholicism Is the Way? Yeah. He's plenty vocal about it. The fringe freaks eat his stuff up, and I think secretly the Nazis love this guy. Heck, maybe not so secretly.

Buchanan puts the F in Fundie, and the F doesn't stand for Fun.

LGF links to MSNBC News. Correct?

For this to make sense you would have to at least de-link MSNBC from your blog.
