This is off topic but I was watching the home run derby and I could have sworn I heard one of the announcers say "Let's face it this isn't a Nancy Reagan country, this is a country of reality," referring to Josh Hamilton's past drug history and subsequent recovery. How in the world did the home run derby become politicized and when did it become acceptable to refer to a First Lady of the United States in such a negative manner during a national sporting event? Unfortunately, I can't even say I'm that surprised.

"Together we Can Change America in Unspeakable Ways"
Barack Obama

The only valid line in the video.

Most of the sports media are moderate to raving moonbats. They're kind of a cross between Hollyweird and the MSM. After all, they spawned Olbermann, the quintessential moonbat of all time.

See? They're regular folks after all. They also don't buy what politicians tell them just before an elect... Wait.

I just implied the Dems weren't "regular folks".

Interesting polls from the last couple days (yes, I know it is July, but these polls are still interesting and sometimes enlightening.)

COLORADO PPP poll released today shows McCain down four percent. This is scary news, Lizards. Colorado is a must-win state.

But ... Colorado publishes their R/D breakdown according to how people actually register to vote and of June 30th, the state looked like this: 34% Republican, 31% Democratic, 35% other.

According to David Wissing, on the Hedgehog Report, [Link: www.davidwissing.com...] the PPP poll's breakdown was 36% R; 40% D, and 24% other. This is obviously NOT the same as how people register to vote. PPP usually just calls people, asks if they are registered to vote, asks what party they intend to vote for and tabulates the results. They do not, then, weigh by Party ID.

Wissing claims that if the partisan breakdown of the poll matched how people are actually registered, Obama would only be leading by one percent: Obama 45%, McCain 44%.

I"m not so sanguine.

Anyways, for you CO lizards, get out and vote. Please!

Also, please remember that Dems always lead in June polls. Almost always, that is. And polls almost always close to the Republican side by election day.

How much does anyone want to bet she'll be voting for Obama?

I thought the Onion was supposed to be satire, not reality. Ha.
