Hamas Kids Sentence Jew-Eating Rabbit to Amputation

Thu, Jul 17, 2008 at 8:17:31 am PDT

That’s one of the more disturbing headlines I’ve written, but it’s completely accurate to describe this utterly depraved Hamas TV show, in which Assud the giant Jew-eating rabbit is tempted by Satan to steal and then is sentenced by ghoulish child host Saraa to have his hand chopped off.

The wonders of sharia. (Courtesy of MEMRI TV.)

Click picture to play video. Requires Windows Media Player; Mac users should install Flip4Mac.

Following are excerpts from a Hamas children’s show, titled “The Pioneers of Tomorrow,” which aired on Al-Aqsa TV on July 11, 2008.

Assud the bunny: In the name of Allah, I hope my dad doesn’t see me. God, make him go on sleeping, while I take one or two bills. There’s his stash of money... Man, there is so much money here... No, I must put it back. Stealing is forbidden.

Satan: No, no... What are you doing, Assud? No, Assud, I promised you that nobody would see you or know about this. Take one or two bills. Don’t be afraid, Assud.

Assud: Okay, I’ll just take one... Actually, I’ll take two.

Satan: No, take three.

[...]

Voice of girl: Assud, you were wrong to follow Satan, who is the source of all problems. In addition, you caused problems between your parents. You have no right to cause such a great problem. Don’t you know that stealing leads to Hell. The Prophet Muhammad said: “If my daughter Fatima had stolen, I would have chopped off her hand.” If you were in Saudi Arabia now, they would chop off your hand. Allah said in the Koran: “As for a thief, male or female, cut off their hands: A punishment by example, for their crime.”

[...]

Child TV host Saraa: What do you think about what Assud did?

Asmaa: It was wrong, because “as for a thief, male or female, cut of their hands.”

Assud: Oh my God! You say that my hand should be chopped off, Asmaa?

Asmaa: Yes.

Assud: You think my hand should be chopped off?

Asmaa: What?

Assud: You want my hand to be chopped off?

Asmaa: Yes.

[...]

Nur: The Prophet Muhammad said: "If my daughter Fatima had stolen, I would have chopped off her hand.

Assud: So if Saraa were to steal, her hand should be chopped off, right?

Nur: No.

Assud: When you were little, didn’t you ever steal a shekel or something?

Nur: No, because Allah is watching me.

Saraa: Nur, do you think we should go ahead and chop off Assud’s hand now?

Assud: No, no. Saraa, I’m begging you...

Nur: Saraa, he has repented and promised never to do it again, then that’s it.

Saraa: Well, if we don’t chop off his hand, maybe we should chop off his ear?

Assud: No, please, no, I’m begging you...

Maybe they can have Samir Kuntar on as a guest star.

Ah, the joys of childhood in the hands of Islamists.

Learn about murdering Jews and infidels. Suicide bombings. Lopping off limbs. Spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. Indoctrinate the next generation in unending hatred.

Yes, welcome to the wonderful world of Hamastan.

And coming soon to Hizbullahland (fka Lebanon).

It's so cute to see sharia presented in such a sweet manner.

Watch the Hamas family kids take the 'law' into their own hands against their own buddies.

10 Sizzlack  Thu, Jul 17, 2008 8:22:18am

When I was little, I played 'House' with my sister, 'Commando' with my friends and 'Store' with my parents. I guess if I grew up in Gaza I would have instead played 'Stoning', 'Beheading' and 'Rocket Launching'. Sounds like fun if you want your kid to grow up to be a little KSM.

re: #10 Sizzlack

Actually, you wouldn't be playing 'Stoning', 'Beheading' and 'Rocket Launching'. You'd be "playing" stoning, beheading, and rocket launching.

Suicide bombing would be a semi-optional course.

Must really burn them to have to use shekels in their day to day transactions.

heheh.

19 Golem Akbar  Thu, Jul 17, 2008 8:27:41am

Ah, kids. How precious. The little darlings just want to have fun and blow things up. Or chop off a few limbs.

20 mean Gene  Thu, Jul 17, 2008 8:28:30am

OK, fine.
They need a few shows on honor killings, too, then.
The little girls need to understand the ''ground rules'' early.
Let them know that if any man touches them, even a family member they will be killed.
Let them know that if they think for themselves about headcovers or life's desires they will be killed.
Let them know that even being somewhere or saying something will get them killed.
Hey!
Thay can play kill little what-it's-name-with-the-dead-eyes as an example.

21 finkelsd  Thu, Jul 17, 2008 8:29:10am

I am utterly speechless at this depravity. There is evil in this world.

22 Golem Akbar  Thu, Jul 17, 2008 8:29:31am

I raised two daughters (not by myself) and they were cute, but not nearly as cute as this little girl. My daughters never wanted to chop off any human limbs. /No wonder they never made jidad.

25 nyc redneck  Thu, Jul 17, 2008 8:31:38am

i bet the damage is complete by the time these children are 8 to 10 yrs. old.
they will grow up and do nothing but want to kill.
it's how a grown man can get a hero's welcome for bashing in the head of a child.

26 Pyrocles  Thu, Jul 17, 2008 8:31:50am

I grew up during the 80's, playing with G.I. Joe toys. Looking back, I remember a lot of liberal talking heads complaining that those toys taught violence and reinforced a positive view of war and the military. I remember watching the news with my parents and being afraid that G.I. Joe would be outlawed by the government. I'm glad Reagan was president at the time!

Not sure what this has to do with this disgusting Hamas brainwashing, but I guess there's a connection. Liberals would never complain about this interesting tidbit of Palestinian culture, while demonizing G.I. Joe.

Asmaa: Yes.

Assud: You think my hand should be chopped off?

Asmaa: What?

Assud: You want my hand to be chopped off?

Asmaa: Yes.

The longer this goes, the less possible it will be for Israel to have peace with the Palis. There will be two possible solutions. Mentioning one solution might get me banned.
The other is to deport all of them. Unfortunately, they'll probably end up getting sent back, as "human" bombs or guidance systems.

re: #85 OldLineTexan

Thanks.

My concern is that rather than this stopping- that it will increase among Muslims that have not previously done it. the basis is not in Islam itself but in their crazed idea that this mutilation makes women more chaste- and suitable for marriage (and if you mutilate them young- you don't have to kill them later). Torturing/mutilating girls- as a cultural norm - seems to be one more area where liberal activists are giving Islam a pass.

This isn't surprising, but it is odious. 2/3 of Egyptian men harass women, and 53% admit that the women had it coming to them.

Here's a significant bit from your link that belies the headscarf apologists: "The survey said most of the Egyptian women who told of being harassed said they were dressed conservatively, with the majority wearing the Islamic headscarf."

re: #92 claire

Look here for Indonesia

Here for Egypt

Thank you.

From the first (emphasis mine):

The most common forms of female genital mutilation (FGM) or female genital cutting (FGC) still widely practiced throughout Egypt are Type I (commonly referred to as clitoridectomy) and Type II (commonly referred to as excision). These practices are widespread but are even more prevalent in rural than urban areas. They are common among both Muslims and Coptic Christians.

Just in case I am misunderstood, I think this is a barbaric practice. However, I do not see that it is required or endorsed by Islam. It seems to be cultural, which is worse, IMO.

re: #95 madisonsfriend

My concern is that rather than this stopping- that it will increase among Muslims that have not previously done it. the basis is not in Islam itself but in their crazed idea that this mutilation makes women more chaste- and suitable for marriage (and if you mutilate them young- you don't have to kill them later). Torturing/mutilating girls- as a cultural norm - seems to be one more area where liberal activists are giving Islam a pass.

Very thought-provoking, thank you.

The longer this goes, the less possible it will be for Israel to have peace with the Palis. There will be two possible solutions. Mentioning one solution might get me banned.
The other is to deport all of them. Unfortunately, they'll probably end up getting sent back, as "human" bombs or guidance systems.

the palis are so rage and hate infected. they are too unreasonable and impaired to even want peace. someone compared them to rabid dogs. eventually they become such a menace they have to be decisively dealt w/.

I agree that we lack the will or resolve. My point was slightly different though. It seems to me from my study of history that people can go very very far down a road to utter folly and delusion. When that happens on a cultural scale it seem that the only thing that can turn things around is a catastrophe sufficient to cause the survivors to question.

I am not trumpeting the virtues of destruction here, but rather, I am commenting that Islam has not had their Equivalent of a 30 Years War or a Babylonian Exile. In that train of thought it may, sadly be that such a catastrophe (for them) is the only thing that will change things.

Perhaps this is part of the reason behind raising an entire town that has gone to Avodah Zhara. As to the will to do it, I will say that when we are merciful to those who deserve justice we will ultimately become cruel to those that deserve mercy.

Palestinian Media Watch follows it. Itamar Marcus is the director there.

Finally it should be stressed that all the books cited here were written during the most optimistic periods of the peace process, before the violence began in September 2000. They are not a reflection of the war, but were a great contributing factor to the war. The ongoing attempts to defend PA schoolbooks are tragic, as the PA is using these arguments to justify their indefensible hate education, and to refuse to improve their books. The PA is planting the seeds of the next war in their youth, and the defenders of PA hate education, including Israelis, are nurturing those seeds of war.

(That's under the Schoolbooks link).

Without pressure from the UN, I don't know how it will be resolved. We know the UN has no desire to deal with this. The U.S. does, but other than awareness, I don't know what good that will do. Not that we shouldn't keep trying, but it's been so many years and nothing has changed. It has to come from them, but when and how?

And I was amazed by the "parental warning" on the first few seasons of Sesame Street. . .because the neighborhood looked "poor" and children were "helped by adult strangers"

All for the children, of course!

Without pressure from the UN, I don't know how it will be resolved.

One o the reasons it is irredeemable.

The other reason is because that is what they were designed to be. It is bred in the bone.

This was not an accidental creation of a monstrosity.

It was willful.

They are human weapons.

The best weapons the arab world ever created, and that is saying something, because according to the NYTIMEs, the muslims invented everything!

I'll bet BO will be anxious to discuss this with Hamas leaders on his upcoming middle east trip. Of course he will agree with them and their indoctrination of children into sadism, then, when he returns to civilization, "modify and adjust" , "clarify and expand", his position and condemn his adoring media for reporting it the original way, not the "correct" way. Of course, this will give girly man Chris Matthews another tingle up into his groin.

i bet the damage is complete by the time these children are 8 to 10 yrs. old they will grow up and do nothing but want to kill. it's how a grown man can get a hero's welcome for bashing in the head of a child.

I always have hope that redemption is possible, because I have hope for humanity in general. Unfortunately, it isn't highly probable.

The leadership will have to change, but I can't see how that will happen. An ongoing war won't work because they value death too much. Genocide, even if I could bring myself to agree with such a ridiculous solution, could never work because for Israel to remain, it has to live with its neighbors and such a thing would destroy everything the peace process (Egypt and Jordan) has obtained to date.

The insane part about this is that Gaza sits on the Mediterranean, one of the most prized pieces of real estate in the world. All their problems could end tomorrow. Put up hotels, start a tourist industry. They could easily have their own money and build a peaceful society, but that unforutnately, isn't their agenda.

I think there's only so much that outsiders can do (very, very limited). It's up to those living in this "culture" (those who are living in Hamastan) that have to come to some sort of realization that their culture sucks...Only they can change their situation...and, frankly, I don't see any movement whatsoever in this direction (in fact, it seems to be lurching backwards -- "Fatah wasn't primitive enough, so let's elect HAMAS! Ja, that'll be an improvement!" or "Since we're in this hole, let's dig deeper! that'll get us out!" (about the essence of stupidity combined with insanity.)

I see a future a bit like Logan;s Run--just without the spiffy costumes. In this country, when child stars grow up, they either become mature actors (Foster, Schroder, Russel) or fall into the abyss (Coleman, Switzer etc). We sure as hell don't mutilate them.

That might become the next Muslim reality show, you know.

Gulag? Who said anything about a gulag?

The Japanese worshipped the Emperor...the Nazis worshipped Hitler like a god. Do they today? Imagine-they are functional democracies. Did all the Germans die in the process? Did all the Japanese? No. And yes, there was a 're-education' program. Textbooks re-written, entire bureaucracies started from scratch. It was called de-Nazification. What's wrong with re-education of the Islamic masses? They need to be beaten down, into submission-totally and utterly humiliated until they realize THEY have no choice but to conform to OUR values. This has not happened.

I thought it was clear my feelings about the U.N. are the same as yours. The UN, though they are equipped to end it, won't because of their anti-Israel/pro Arab agenda. If any outside party could it would be them. It won't be us. Throwing money at it won't solve it.

The fact they had "elections" gives a faux image of respectability to the world and Bush should never had been behind it. In effect, they have their country already. Even freakin FedEx sends packages to "Palestine." The Jews left Gaza (spit) and what's changed? The more land they get, the more they want.

Changing PMs in Israel will be a welcome change (hopefully) and that will come next election. Abbas is Arafat in sheep's clothing, but I guess ya gotta work with what ya got I guess.

"totally and utterly" - BINGO!
And if that means turning Gaza into a parking lot then so be it (I think a parking lot would actually be an improvement over what they have there now).
But don't let's kid ourselves my friend, this will certainly involve much loss of life - we know what had to be done to Germany and to Japan before they surrendered.

I happened to read an Internet essay (a few months ago?) which compared the U.S. to a giant (as in Gulliver's Travels -- in the land of Brobdingnag)...anyway, the Giant (that's the U.S.) is totally oblivious of his surroundings (but chained to him are the smaller entities -- such as Israel), and the Giant goes about swinging and striding and destroying (oblivious, of course)...and it's the little guys which have to clean up the messes left behind...I think of The Giant whenever I consider the go-ahead for Palis to have an election and allow HAMAS terrorists to participate...(all done at the behest and good-fellowship of the clueless Giant...)...and now look at the disaster...(I also think it's probably time for Israel, as quickly as possible, to de-chain itself from the Friendly Giant...)

225 Sabnen  Thu, Jul 17, 2008 1:03:18pm

Television (and Movies) are POWERFUL teaching tools. I remember hearing Jack Nicholson ask, "Where did you learn to kiss the way you kiss? Probably from a movie." I might not be exact in the quote, but it's close enough to the idea.

The people who create movies and TV shows hold an enormous responsibility deciding what should and shouldn't be shown. In the US I think much of this sense of responsibility has been forsaken in favor of commercial sales. However, this use of a childrens' show, by the Palestinians, is perverse to the nth degree; nearly unfathomable to me.

re: #110 WriterMom

Surely some mealy-mouth will come along and say that ALL cultures have value and should be preserved; I'm sure I've heard it in the past.

In some ways I felt the same way about the Soviet Union. I thought that since two generations, then three, came of age after the Revolution, been indoctrinated and all that, then we would then be stuck with the Soviet Union way of life forever, but then Reagan came along . . .

The parallels are weak, because the The USSR was a political system and the Palestinians are a . . . ahh . . . ummm . . . some sort of indescribable system (Death Cult Driven by Utter Hatred is probably the best way to describe them). So I'm not sure what to think. Can it go away?
