US Lawyer Urges Iran to Sue US Over Nukes

Sun, Jul 27, 2008 at 9:08:59 am PDT

Loony academic leftist Francis Boyle (last seen at LGF trying to impeach President Bush) has offered to represent the mullahs of Iran if they sue the US in the International Court of Justice.

TEHRAN, July 22 (UPI) — A University of Illinois law professor says he has offered to represent Iran if it decides to sue the United States over threatened nuclear program sanctions.

Iran’s Press TV reported Tuesday that Francis Boyle, an international law expert, is urging Iranian leaders to sue Israel and the United States through the International Court of Justice in The Hague over their ultimatum that Iran freeze its nuclear enrichment program in a matter of weeks or face further sanctions.

If Iran decides to sue, he told the broadcaster, he would represent the country.

“My proposal was that Iran should sue these states immediately, convene an emergency hearing by the World Court, and ask the court to indicate provisional measures of protection on behalf of Iran against the United States, Israel and the EU-3 — basically a temporary restraining order,” Boyle said.

Boyle is a hardcore pacifist who likes to hang around with murderers and dictators; he’s a former legal representative for the PLO, and is good friends with Muammar Gaddafi. And unsurprisingly, he’s also known for comparing Israel to Nazi Germany.

This demonstrates why the US doesn't recognize or participate in the Hague courts.

This dude is way out there.

In international legal terms, the Bush Jr. administration itself should now be viewed as constituting an ongoing criminal conspiracy under international criminal law in violation of the Nuremberg Charter, the Nuremberg Judgment, and the Nuremberg Principles, due to its formulation and undertaking of aggressive war policies that are legally akin to those perpetrated by the Nazi regime. As a consequence, American citizens possess the basic right under international law and the United States domestic law, including the U.S. Constitution, to engage in acts of non-violent civil resistance in order to prevent, impede, thwart, or terminate ongoing criminal activities perpetrated by U.S. government officials in their conduct of foreign affairs policies and military operations purported to relate to defense and counter-terrorism.

Remember it is Russia that has more than anyone set up Iran's nuclear program. As I have stated in the past, Russia is developing Iran as a sort of Rocket Korp to open up a new front in its perceived war on the west. As has been often stated, the doctrine of Mutually Assured Destruction works against the Russians but it does not work against the Islamic madmen in Iran who's idea of victory is losing a nuclear war and going to heaven.

They are the perfect allies in a nuclear war. They actually want to die.

I think the most likely scenario with Iranian nukes is that they will slip one into an American port city with the connivance of Venezuela.

I think there will be a lot of prominent leftist names on that list having accepted beaucoup rubles from Ivan to cause trouble and infiltrate the education system.

I hope Francis Boyle is prominent on that list. I hope to see somewhere notes Boyle wrote to his KGB/DGI buddies asking them for permission to wipe his own butt, or the blackmail tapes from Cuban jinitera/os become public.

Why is it that pacifists love dictators and murderers so much? Let's ponder that one...

Easy. Free nations are persuadable, dictators are not. It's like that old joke about the guy looking for hours under a streetlight for something he dropped in the nearby alley. When asked why he looks under the streetlight instead of the alley, he responds "That's where the light is."

Another word on Kinetic Energy Interceptors.

'Kinetic energy' means they don't have explosive warheads. They destroy incoming missile by hitting it, relying on new advances in rocketry and targeting. The concept is to hit a hostile as soon as possible after it is launched when it is still going slowly. It must be hit before final stage separation in space. Only after final stage separation can a hostile missile deploy dummy warheads which complicate everything.

The KEI is launched as near as possible to the launch site of the target missile so it can hit the target when it is still vulnerable. The absolute best case scenario is to destroy a hostile missile so fast that it falls back down into its own country with its chemical, biological or nuclear payload.

Shocka!

UK charities funding terrorism in India

An umbrella organisation representing over 300 Hindu outfits in the UK on Sunday appealed to the government to probe into reports about British charities suspected of sending funds to terrorist groups in Pakistan that have been launching attacks against India.
....
Indian authorities have said the Indian Mujahideen, which claimed responsibility for the attacks, seems to be a front outfit for terrorist organisations operating out of Pakistan.

"India has been suffering from terror attacks by Islamic militants for many years. The Ahmedabad blasts that killed 45 people yesterday are not isolated. There have been several other blasts that have taken place recently in Jaipur, Bangalore and other places," HFB secretary general Ramesh Kallidai said.

"But what is of great concern to British Indians is that there have been several reports of British charities sending money to Pakistan that are being diverted to terrorism against India."

Feller missed 4 of his prime years in the service, probably depriving him of 80 or so wins and a possible World Series (or two) for the Cleveland Indians. Can you imagine A-Rod or Roger Clemens enlisting nowadays? Not bloody likely.

I've met Rapid Robert Feller before and I don't hesitate to say at all that he'd probably wring Obama's neck, even at 80+ years of age.

All told I think Ted missed something like 6 seasons when he was truly in his prime.

Ted Williams missed three seasons during WWII and two more during the Korean War and still hit 521 home runs (second only to Ruth and Foxx when he retired).

A trivia nugget about Williams: He won the Triple Crown in '42 and '47 but was NOT voted MVP those two years. Reporters voted on the award then. A little media bias maybe?

Ted Williams was apparently pretty cold to reporters. Reporters still award the MVP to players, hence Albert Belle not winning it in 1995 when he was the only player to hit 50 homeruns and 50 doubles in the same season and the Indians went 100-41. Hard to give an MVP award to an alcoholic that runs over kids with his car on Halloween though.

The last two sentences are interesting.

Thus, contrary to what we might assume hearing American political rhetoric and news stories, Islam is proclaimed as a religion of peace by these Roman Catholic leaders. What the world needs is for Muslims to be more faithful to their religion, not less.

If his head is somewhat in the eccumenical clouds, that last sentence becomes a shocker.

Oh, I'm not implying that most reporters aren't morons, because they are. Even more so today, then again, that can be said about pretty much any profession.

Ultimately, Ted Williams probably didn't win MVP because he was cold to reporters and never enjoyed the same sort of team success that guys like DiMaggio did.

Nut case in Tennessee.....
Gunman critically wounds 7 in Tennessee church

An armed man opened fire on worshippers in a Unitarian church in Knoxville, Tennessee, during a children's play Sunday, critically wounding seven people, police and church members said.

Detectives were questioning the suspected gunman Sunday afternoon after the "horrendous" attack, Deputy Police Chief Bill Roehl said.

"To our knowledge right now, he is the lone suspect in this case," Roehl said.

The man entered the church and began shooting during a children's production of the musical "Annie," said Steve Drevik, a church member who arrived after man's arrest.

Mad dog, just got through reading your comment about the Weather Channel. I also had the same thoughts as I listened to their weather guy. He was just under being hysterical in describing the forecast temps for the week. Seriously, are the weather anchors being told to "hype" their reporting or do these folks believe this is akin to some catastrophe that they're reporting? My goodness, I think the fellow needed to change his shorts & seek sedation after his presentation. Where can a guy go to check on whether to cook the burgers inside or out?

Honestly, I think they are trying to add some interest to what is basically a boring forecast. "Its gonna be hot in the south in July" is not exactly news.

I usually go to the NOAA website, less emotional.

I've been to LA on business several times. It seems like the weather is generally the same every day (75 and sunny), so how should the weatherman act? I'll always remember watching one of the local guys act like he was re-telling a fascinating story about wild animals attacking or a 45-44 OT NFL game or something equally breath-taking, but the forecast was "75 and sunny." He was out of breath at the end of his segment and it left me exhausted.

I've noticed that every summer the Weather Channel starts in about how hot it is and how global warming is the cause. And, then in the winter months, when it's cold, they go on about how global warming is causing the low temperatures as well.....that global warming sure is sneaky - it makes it hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

I am not a trained weather man, nor have I played on on TV, nor have I recently spent a night at a Holiday Inn Express, but, I think I know why it is hot in the summer and cold in winter.....something about the sun, the angle of the earth in relation the orbit around the sun. I think I learned that little nugget in the 4th grade? I guess they are too busy over there at the WC watching the continous loop of "An Inconvenient Truth" to take a look at that whole sun-earth thing?

This lawyer Richard Boyle is also a close associate to Richard Falk who runs another group that advises the TFPFR called the NUCLEAR AGE PEACE FOUNDATION (NAPF) .
Their goal is to teach and educate youth of the dangers of weapons and is against the personal ownership of fire arms, aka, or anything like the 2nd Amendment. The NAPF is also a member of the umbrella group called OneWorld Network. NAPF views American military spending as a drain on funds that would be better spent on social welfare and entitlement programs.

If Iran decides to sue, he told the broadcaster, he would represent the country

So at what point does such behavior qualify as treason?

sorry for the confusion. As I stated, if it is a national game (say for FOX or ESPN) the NATIONAL commercials are aired from the truck (McDonalds, Hertz, Geico, etc). During that break, they will also leave room for local commercials (think a local business where you live)

If it is a game just going back to one station (WGN Chicago for instance) then it come in totally raw with the commercials inserted back at WGN.

In either way, about an hour pre-airtime, I'm in contact with the truck to set the levels coming from them before it goes to satellite

I thought the McCarthyism mention helped establish some of the political climate they were working under. It's just that neither Spielberg nor Lucas are subtle in their work as a rule. I feel a bit mixed overall over the movie, it had flashes of the brilliance that loved in Raiders, but some of the problems of believability stretching that I abhorred in Temple. Overall, I call it worse than Crusade, better than Temple, and not quite as good as Raiders.

The guy's just an honest liberal. Many liberals would like to see America and Israel attacked with nuclear weapons and I think most of us on the non-left are a little bit in denial of that fact. Remember how liberals shut up largely right after 9-11? It's not because they supported retaliation or were horrified, it's that what they really had to say couldn't be said in public.

Remember, to liberals, 9-11 re-ignited their war against their west that was lost when the Berlin Wall came down.

I think the biggest kept secret in our society is how many leftists supported Al Qaeda's attacks on the United States. I know a guy who's very liberal but, non the less, had an argument with his wife on 9-11 over her support of the terrorist's murdering of thousands. She was one of the MANY, MANY, MANY who are of the "chickens are coming home to roost" mindset. They just don't say it in public. This woman is a typical San Francisco liberal and I doubt her and Reverend Wright are the only two with that viewpoint.

They support the prisoner's at Guantanamo because they're on their side.

They want wire taps eliminated because they know it makes future attacks difficult.

They want us out of the middle east because they're in alliance with the islamofascist over there.

And they want Iran to have nukes so they can use them against us.

A trivia nugget about Williams: He won the Triple Crown in '42 and '47 but was NOT voted MVP those two years. Reporters voted on the award then. A little media bias maybe?

Sorry but we are not a party to any treaty that gives the World Court jurisdiction over us. You saw how well the SCOTUS, gave the heave ho to Mexico's attempt to overturn the death penalty issued against one of its criminal murdering trespassers committed in Texas. As one other prescient poster noted, that creep is a hypocrite and a large boil on the posterior of patriotic lawyers in the United States of America. The wonderful thing about this though, is that with every passing day, liberals have lost any right to their false assertions of both patriotism and moral superiority. Hell, they violate their supposed principles concerning equality (gender, sexual orientation, religion, race) with abandon so long as the person or country at issue is anti american (so much for their 'patriotism'). FDR would know what to do with this bunch, too bad the country has devolved so much from that time period that this boil is allowed to work unimpeded. He truly is violating his oath of being an attorney by not protecting and defending the Constitution of the US, which includes protecting the USA from enemies both foreign or domestic.

The International Court of Justice will only take cases like this if both parties agree to give it jurisdiction and the US and Israel clearly will not. The United States withdrew from compulsory jurisdiction in 1986, and so accepts the court's jurisdiction only on a case-to-case basis. Chapter XIV of the United Nations Charter authorizes the UN Security Council to enforce World Court rulings, but this is subject to the veto of the permanent five members of the Council and the US is one of the P5.

It is possible but unlikely that the ICJ will give an advisory, unenforceable judgment as they did to Israel over the Security Fence but that requires a vote by the UN General Assembly or the UN Security Council.

In short, Francis Boyle is just blowing smoke and I expect he knows that.

Ass meet hat.

Trepanned by his own cowardice.

What a pathetic and desperate little guy this Francis is. He has to sink underneath the rock to get any attention at all. This idea is what he comes up with to get attention! I can't imagine he is anything other than a total and complete loser.

Those that can, do. Those that can't, teach. Francis Boyle is a pretty shitty lawyer and couldn't provide himself with basic necessities, so he teaches. This is why the left invented tenure. They can't make it in the real world.

Let me guess, lawyer Boyle is 2 mortgage payments in arrears.

Next, he gets a loan from al Dinnerjacket.

Now, it time for Boyle to make a payment to Dinnerjacket.

The United States may have withdrawn from compulsory jurisdiction in 1986, but I'd expect a major change in that policy, very early in the Obamessiah's presidency.

In the mean time, though, the International Court of "Justice" can kiss our collective ass until their transnational lips are glued shut.

Well, if you can stomach it, head on over to old David Duke's page, because Duke LOVES Boyle. He features a long quote from Boyle, whose "all-powerful Zionism" beliefs fit right in with Duke's neo-Nazi thinking. Here's the beginning of Boyle's featured piece (without the nauseating intro by the site owner...): " The Israel lobby uses bribes and threats to control Amnesty-USA. And, since Amnesty-USA pays about 20% of the budget for Amnesty-England, the Israeli lobby controls London too. I don’t know about direct Zionist lobbying in England, but I do know that Amnesty supports the Israeli party line on all issues, whether by commission or omission..."

I was trying to see if I could google Bill Ayers and Boyle together, since they're both profs at UIC. We need to find out if there is conscious collusion between actual fascist types and the "authoritarian left" New Party that Obama signed his contract with in 1995. Lots of blogs are kicking this around and it is REALLY important. Well. Nobama, y'all!

Read Ezekiel 38 and 39.

The Russians are playing right into G-d's hands by sticking their noses in Iran. They, and Iran, will come face to face with the original "bottled sunshine" courtesy of the One Who made it in the first place.

"Treason tree"?

Sounds more like a trash tree that needs to be cut down and eliminated, root and stock.

Sounds as though this guy is running roughshod over the Illinois Rules of Professional Responsibility, specifically Rule 7.3 concerning direct contact with prospective clients. Lawyers aren't supposed to troll for business like this.

I'm not in Illinois so won't be filing a complaint, but that would be enormously entertaining.
