-RetweetSmuggling Tunnels: They're For the Children

Tue, Jul 29, 2008 at 9:22:06 am PDT

Here’s one that will go down in the Annals of Extremely Stupid Propaganda: Gaza smuggling tunnels are for milk, say Palestinians.

Palestinian officials from the Gaza Strip have distributed a set of carefully-staged photographs they say are evidence that the smuggling tunnels running under the Gaza-Egypt border are for milk and other essential goods, not weapons.

The photographs show masked Palestinian militants lifting jugs of milk and sacks of baby food from the entrance to one of the tunnels on the Gaza side of the border.

Milk? How do they plan to make a suicide bomb out of milk?

Charles' headline is probably more correct. They're smuggling children, to use as human shields for the next bombing/shelling.

Tunnels for smuggling "milk" and "baby food" - in this instance, they forget the scare quotes. Another good Palestinian PR move. These guys are good propagandists, and our Western MSM eats up everything they spoonfeed them.

Of course- they wouldn't have to smuggle "milk for the children" if they'd just quit attacking Israel.

I have absolutely no doubt that these "freedom fighters" have a full supply of children's items, as well as several actual children, ready to shove into the tunnel the moment they think it will be targeted by the IDF - simply to produce shattered toys and dead children's bodies for propaganda purposes.

Evil is as Evil does.

Oh well, if it's For The Children then of course it's okay. I bet they are practicing in San Fransisco right now to build similar tunnels to somewhere, because it's For The Children.

This is right out of Catch-22, where Orr liked to keep crab-apples in his cheeks, because he wanted apple-cheeks, but if you asked him about it, he showed you rubber balls in his hands, so you were supposed to conclude that it wasn't crab-apples in his cheeks, it was rubber balls in his hands, but nobody could ever understand that's what he meant, because he had crab-apples in his cheeks.

Hamas has good reason to believe that news outlets covering the Gaza Strip are willing dupes in their cause. Time Magazine's "candlelight by daylight" photograph of the hardships purportedly imposed on the Gaza Strip by the nefarious Israelis suggests that there is no limit to the media's credulity. This latest Hamas public relations venture certainly tests the proposition.

Now I understand. They planned how much food they'd need expecting to have sent many of their children to be human bombs or get killed while retrieving missile launchers.
But they couldn't get into Israel to explode the bombs, and the Israelis haven't cooperated.
So now they have too many kids to feed, and they have to smuggle in food for them, while the weapons come in openly via the checkpoints.
Yeah, that's the ticket.

They have to keep the kids alive long enough to get them into Israel, and strong enough to carry the bombs. Explosives aren't light.

Look on the bright side.

THE TUNNELS EXIST.

Up until SAMAH took over the strip, and FATAH busted one or two tunnels (usually before an important American visit or aid bill), the MSM would say ALLEGED TUNNELS, or ISRAEL SAYS, and would never say they exist without some sort of scare quotes or qualifications.

Now, suddenly, they exist without doubt.

Because it's not ISRAEL saying so.

Interesting.

Although goat milk, like cow's milk and human milk, contains lactose, many people with lactose intolerance can drink goat milk. Why? It has been hypothesized that the reason lies in goat milk's superior digestibility. Goat milk is more completely and easily absorbed than cow's milk, leaving less undigested residue behind in the colon to quite literally ferment and cause the uncomfortable symptoms of lactose intolerance.

Israel has imposed a limited embargo against Hamas-ruled Gaza, but has repeatedly stressed that the sanctions only limit the import of non-essential goods and some building materials that had previously been used to manufacture rockets. Exports from Gaza have also been curtailed to combat the terrorists' practice of hiding bombs in shipments of agricultural produce.

The Palis are free to import medicines, milk & other food into Gaza. There is no need to us tunnels to import milk.

Diskin: Hamas successfully rearming

Shin Bet Director Yuval Diskin painted a bleak picture of recent occurrences in Gaza and east Jerusalem during the weekly government meeting on Sunday. "Since the ceasefire began, four tons of explosives have been transferred into the Strip for Hamas, as well as 50 anti-tank missiles, light arms, and materials for Qassam manufacture – metal rods and gunpowder," he said.

"Most of the smuggling is taking place by land, through tunnels. Hamas has taken control of the tunnels in the area. There is Egyptian action aimed to prevent the smuggling, but there have been no special reports lately."

Goat Milf

It may also be that the patient is not lactose intolerant at all, but instead is one of the 1-in-10 people who are allergic to the major protein of cow's milk ... alpha S1 casein protein. The symptoms are almost identical to those of lactose intolerance. Both goat milk and human milk lack this offending protein.

The digestibility of goat milk can be attributed to its casein curd, which is both softer and smaller than that produced by bovine milk. The smaller and softer the curd, the more easily accepted by the human digestive system.

Lots of goats in these parts. for meat and cheese.

Using milk to justify the smuggling tunnels is merely a way for the Palestinians™ to say that the tunnels are a feta-compli.

The IDF should provide a Robusto response to the smuggling. And if Rowan Williams complains, well, no need to listen to that Stinking Bishop, that's what I say.

Here's the kicker. This colleague is a lesbian (NTTAWWT) and the bearded, slight person with the goatee is also a chick. They looked very very uncomfortable and rushed by me as soon as I asked them if they were going out to the sushi joint nearby.

re: #285 WriterMom

So, nobody has responded to my brain bleach bait...

Here's what just happened to me. I'm walking along coming back from lunch and see a colleague walking hand and hand and all googly eyes with someone who is NOT their "partner". The colleague looks all flouncy happy and she is holding hands with someone with a small goatee. I have met the "partner" and it is not the same person.

Here's the kicker. This colleague is a lesbian (NTTAWWT) and the bearded, slight person with the goatee is also a chick. They looked very very uncomfortable and rushed by me as soon as I asked them if they were going out to the sushi joint nearby.

OMG. Talk about awkward. Ga.

If she calls me to 'clarify' or anything I'm probably just going to say I have no idea what she's talking about.

Maybe they just came from eating sushi?

After the big East Coast blizzard in 1978 (D.C. got 2.5 feet on top of 6"), we kids dug huge tunnels through the banks of shoveled snow. It was great. We used them to smuggle milk and baby food too!

Maybe, but last month at the DMV I was in line behind a Muslima with a mustache that would make Little Richard proud.

re: #356 debutaunt

Once the women become adolescents they have a "scent" that "virile" (and it is not their fault - Allah wills it) Muslim men cannot "resist" (hate that word wish I had a better one to write then resist) and it is not the mans fault if the woman is raped.
Remember she is uncovered meat.
I cannot tell you how foul many of the women here smell in the summer. They are covered head to toe and in Burkas and it is 90 degrees. Water is scarce, dirt is everywhere so it is hard for them.
If they were not required to cover in layers all always it would not be such a problem.

no,the story i was relating was about the use of african choc.(worlds largest producer)many of the plantations were using basiclly slave labor.the industry made alot of noise about changing that, but nothing came of it.(lotsa unrest in the area, massacres and all that.it was felt unsafe to do anything at the present, although somehow their buyers were getting in and out unscathed.)

You got to watch the law of unintended consequences. Some time back I read a story about a clothing company that had girls as young as 14 working in their factory in some third world country. After much pressure from the usual moonbat groups, they agreed to hire only girls 15 and older.

So what happened to the 14 year old girls?

But all the neighbors of these "exploited" workers are making $8 a year.

A lot of abstracts on clandestine tunnel detection here:

[Link: www.agu.org...]

For example:

Physical Limits for the Detection of Clandestine Tunnels

The detection of clandestine tunnels is an extremely difficult geophysical problem. Lack of contrast, high material attenuation, limited instrument sensitivity and low signal-to-noise ratio control the quality of the geophysical data and limits the detectability of both engineered and non-engineered voids. Even in homogenous near surface environments, the footprint-to-depth ratios of these clandestine tunnels can be as low as one-tenth. This low profile restricts the successful application of seismic reflection, ground penetrating radar, electrical resistivity and gravity surveys in noisy environments. This paper presents limits in the detection of tunnels based on the sensitivity of geophysical instruments, frequency of excitation source and properties of the near surface soils. These limits will provide geophysicists and law-enforcement agencies with boundaries to help in the selection of appropriate techniques and to understand the boundaries where detection is practically impossible using traditional geophysical measurements.

Hey, dopplegangerland, believe it or not, if there is a Trader Joes' near you, check them out. Their milk prices here in Norcross are better than the local Publix/Kroger/Ingles (only BJ's comes close), plus you can stock up on Two-&-A Half Buck Chuck and Joe-Joe's while you are there.
