Excellent point.

Reminds me of what I sometimes tell my students when I catch them chewing gum (I ALWAYS remind them at the beginning of class to get rid of it):

"I've told you since the first day of school that I don't allow gum. I remind you every day to get rid of it. The fact that you have gum tells me you're either disrespectful of my rules and me, or you're stupid. Which is it?"

Under my bus
The guy who once had my back
Under my bus
The guy who wants us out of Iraq
It's about me
The difference in my stance today
About me
And change for us
He's under my bus

Under my bus
The jihadi who's been found out
Under my bus
I will claim that he had no clout
It's about me, yes it is
Forget about those whose time has come
About me
And change for us
He's under my bus

Under my bus
Reverent Wright and his hate speech
Under my bus
Though I still practice what he did preach
It's about me
The difference in my staff today
About me
And change for us
He's under my bus

It's about me, yes it is
Forget about those whose time has come
About me
And change for us
He's under my bus

Under my bus
Time to beware, you buyer
Under my bus, because
There's just room for one messiah
It's about me, that's what I said
It's better than losing your head
About me
And change for us
He's under my bus

Take it easy, babe
Nice and easy, babe

On that one I actually think Bush is being smart.

he knows that there is no salvaging his legacy - he will wait the 20 years needed for people to look at him squarely.

In the meantime, if he called back congress HE becomes a story again and he is trying to keep a very low profile so that McCain can have a fair shot at POTUS.

Also, why would Republican operatives actually WANT the Democrats to correct themselves on the issue. Dems want to control all branches so they can institute a de-industrialization policy to placate greens.

Let the sore fester and they will only control the Senate come January.

I don't know, she is somewhat attractive, but the glazed expression she has in all her pics online, kinda detract from that and make me think of Night of the Living Dead.

There is a prejudice that assumes that models, actors and TV people are just lucky idiots. The fact is that there are skills involved in knowing how to look right before a camera. A hundred years ago nobody knew what the caera was so everyone looked natural. Now everyone knows what is expected and when they blow it the result is the frozen deer or Dan Quayle look. Remember Broadcast News where the pretty boy anchor tries to teach the intellectual how to keep his jacket on straight?

You have to wonder.

What the hell are journalists doing by not asking him: "Since you have stated that America was better at an earlier time, can you please specify when that was so that voters can assess the America you'd like to return us to?"

Simple and obvious question.

It will not be asked.

It will not be answered.

Please......the answer is obvious! Since it has been established without question that the white men's greed is the root of all evil, he obviously wants to reurn to the policies of the American Indians, prior to Colombus's gaffe of arriving from Europe.

Let's see Obama come up with a list of prominent senior Republicans endorsing *his* accomplishments. . . .

Seriously, Obama pretends to be a candidate who is eager to overlook partisan politics, but when you look at his actual record, he's the left-most member of the Senate.

Meanwhile McCain is the one who has ACTUALLY reached across the aisle on multiple key pieces of legislation (admittedly making him a thorn in the side of hardcore Conservatives more than once).

Good luck, ________!

291 eaglewingz08  Thu, Aug 7, 2008 4:04:05pm

The Obamanation is not the candidate he could have been but once never was.

Is he talking about the country during the Depression, New Deal and WWII, when hundreds of thousands of people were interred in relocation camps, where there were lynchings by democrats of African Americans?

Was he referring to the term of President Kennedy & LBJ, the Cold War, and the draft, the Cuban Missile Crisis and the escalation of Vietnam War?

We know he wasn't talking about Richard Millhouse Nixon's Presidency or Ronald Reagan's Presidency or Bush I's Presidency, so that leaves just two other time periods:

Is he talking about Djimmah Car(bombsuppor)ter's Presidency, with its call to wear sweaters, inflating one's tires, turning down the thermostat, and gas rationing and support for the Ayatollah Khomeini, its dumping of the Shah, and the gov't in Rhodesia in favor of some nobody named Mugabe? Very possible.

Is he talking about what once was during the Clinton Administration, well that would be peculiar since if those were the good times, it would be hard to argue against Hillary Clinton's candidacy which would bring those 'good times' back to Washington? Why have lukewarm imitation Obamanation, if those were the good times, when you could have the real McCoy?

So I leave it to the Obamanologists to unravel this deep mystery as to when these good times were that aren't that could have been, but mysteriously vanished like in some alien abduction fantasy.

292 ladycatnip  Thu, Aug 7, 2008 4:42:48pm
