I usually only use them for overseas travel. And as long as you make them long enough in advance, I have not had to many problems. Last time I went to Israel, El Al could get me there, but couldn't get me back for a month. I was OK with that, but the wife and my job weren't. So I had to fly British Air. They were fine, just had to stop over twice in London.

I usually only use them for overseas travel. And as long as you make them long enough in advance, I have not had to many problems. Last time I went to Israel, El Al could get me there, but couldn't get me back for a month. I was OK with that, but the wife and my job weren't. So I had to fly British Air. They were fine, just had to stop over twice in London.

I think that American is a lot safer than United.
All of those weather delays that other airlnes don't have?
I have a friend who flies for them, they are way understaffed.

i remember steak and shrimp as a dinner option, in coach class, when i was a wee lizard. mentioned it to an FA who offered a choice of chicken or vegetarian lasagna, and she stared at me in amazement & asked, "how long have you been flying this airline?!" And that wasn't exactly recently, either.

I recall my father putting on a coat & tie & my mother dolling up.
It was a very genteel experience.
Now you have guys with their ass hanging out of their pants & chicks with more tatoos than a sailor.
