Use the tire manufacturer's pressure settings. I happened to own a Ford Explorer when the Firestone fiasco hit. Ford recommended a setting of 25psi, while Firestone stated 34psi. The difference was better ride the lower pressure gave. I kept mine at 34psi and had 66k miles on them, with more to go, when the lawsuit against Firestone replaced all 5 tires free.

Each year I get to celebrate Independence Day twice. On June 30 I celebrate my independence day and on July 4 I celebrate America's. This year is special, because it marks the 40th anniversary of my independence.

On June 30, 1968, I escaped Communist Cuba and a few months later I was in the United States to stay. That I happened to arrive in Richmond on Thanksgiving Day is just part of the story, but I digress.

I've thought a lot about the anniversary this year. The election-year rhetoric has made me think a lot about Cuba and what transpired there. In the late 1950s, most Cubans thought Cuba needed a change, and they were right. So when a young leader came along, every Cuban was at least receptive.

When the young leader spoke eloquently and passionately and denounced the old system, the press fell in love with him. They never questioned who his friends were or what he really believed in. When he said he would help the farmers and the poor and bring free medical care and education to all, everyone followed. When he said he would bring justice and equality to all, everyone said "Praise the Lord." And when the young leader said, "I will be for change and I'll bring you change," everyone yelled, "Viva Fidel!"

But nobody asked about the change, so by the time the executioner's guns went silent the people's guns had been taken away. By the time everyone was equal, they were equally poor, hungry, and oppressed. By the time everyone received their free education it was worth nothing. By the time the press noticed, it was too late, because they were now working for him. By the time the change was finally implemented Cuba had been knocked down a couple of notches to Third-World status. By the time the change was over more than a million people had taken to boats, rafts, and inner tubes. You can call those who made it ashore anywhere else in the world the most fortunate Cubans. And now I'm back to the beginning of my story.

Luckily, we would never fall in America for a young leader who promised change without asking, what change? How will you carry it out? What will it cost America? Would we?

That is the issue. It will be subject to serious questions regarding the people who made it, and that is what will be reported in the MSM. I've got 110k on my trucks tires, they'll make it to next summer. Bi-weekly pressure checks, and regular rotation, and sane driving.

I saw a merchant in the PX at the base I'm mobilizing at selling "African-American attire." He had several Obama shirts for sale, one disgustingly putting him right next to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

There was another one, though, that caught my eye and made me laugh. There was a cariacture of The One (strangely enough, without the dumbo ears), and behind him were two words repeated over and over and over again... "Hope" "Change." It's a parody and it doesn't even realize it.

This ad is only running on the Internet and in Ohio and Michigan television markets.

The objective is to make Obama lose ground in key swing states with a voting public that is old enough to remember the destructiveness of the Weathermen.

I don't really like this ad. It's too early for release and the content just doesn't need any 9/11 references. That's reaching for a really low common denominator.

Well, a donation to a 501(c)(4) would be tax deductible, were that 501(c)(4) a volunteer fire department or a veterans' organization. Otherwise, however, no. 501(c)(4)'s can engage in politics/lobbying, provided it's not their primary activity, and is consistent with their primary mission.

I said in #5 they'd be pissed about the 9/11 reference. Even if they didn't mention United 93, the obama team was/is going to be pissed about this ad, so why not make a clear analogy of a terrorist to other terrorists?

The McCain response should be to point out the purpose of the committee was to further politicize school kids' education. Follow this ad up with another showing the video of Ayers praising Hugo Chavez down in Venezuela back in 2006.

You shouldn't do that.

This ad is produced by "American Issues". The McCain camp should be three states away from this group. You don't pile on top of an ad from a 501(c)4 with one from the actual campaign. That's political suicide.

My daughter was at a party in Chicago where she met Ayers a couple of years ago. Ayers told her that he babysat the Obama children. It is a veryclose relationship.

A 501(c)(4). Private Foundation, not the same as a 527. Not tax deductible. A 527 donation is - I'm not entirely clear (I work for a charity, and we stay miles and miles from politics) on why.

I am just gonna say this ad might backfire. It appears I am taking a contrary opinion on this thread and leave it at that. It will not be picked up by the MSM and will only be seen on the internet. That is the issue. It will be subject to serious questions regarding the people who made it, and that is what will be reported in the MSM. Another, Obama is being picked upon because he saw a guy 20 years ago and it isn't true story and anyway, they are just clingy people holding onto their guns and religion type thing.

Undecided voters will never see this ad in the MSM. They will only see the "O" campaign complaining they are being unfairly attacked. more positive press for the "ONE".

And yes the ad is nothing but the facts. I don't dispute that.

I'm sure that Obama's campaign is praying that you are correct. But I would be hesitant to bet the farm.

If you want to run an ad tying Obama to Ayers you can do it. This one does it poorly and on top of that mistake loads in some 9/11 references to make the Ayers/Obama links move to 'inside the cover'.

To tie together Ayers and Obama you've got to leave all this nonsensical information on the editing table. Stay focused on a single message and it will work.

The Ayers interview was published on 9/11 by the NYT. It just it's not remembering 9/11, Ayers said that in an interview, which then was published hours before the terrorist attacks took place.

I would strongly question Daley's authority to seal documents at all, much less documents that are held by the state rather than the city of Chicago.
