The Return of Beauchamp

Fri, Aug 22, 2008 at 1:56:19 pm PDT

Fantasist Scott Beauchamp is back, sort of, with a fawning interview in Radar Online. Bob Owens has a post at PJ Media reminding us of a few facts: Infamous ‘Shock Troops’ Author Back in the News.

I have it on good authority that LCDR McCain did not report for duty even once between October 1967 and March 1973, a time period during which he was SUPPOSEDLY still a commissioned officer in the Navy.

Documents to follow.

I don't have bated breath over the matter, but I am more than curious who gets the nod.

The name that adds the most to the democratic cause is Sam Nunn, but I don't think Sam is up to a heavy campaign schedule these days. Hence, Obama will probably fall back to one of the other old hands with foreign policy street cred - Biden or Reed. With either of these two, however, you got two NE liberals and the South is conceded to McCain. So maybe he goes with a 'moderate' southerner/midwesterner like Kain, Sebilus or Bahye. Kaine & Sebilus are too much of a rookies. Bahye is not enough of an attack dog.

Ergo ---> I say it's Richardson.

Barack Obama prepares to name running mate.
The whereabouts of potential veep picks.
Iraq deal hovers over presidential campaign.
Obama: From unknown to nominee, a meteoric rise.
Hillary gets stiffed.
King speech to Obama speech: A dream realized?

Seriously, is this Obama's campaign site or a new site? Does Yahoo realize there is another candidate, and it ain't Hillary?

Waiting..waiting..
OK sounds like everybody needs to hear a story whilst we await the announcement of Barry's sidekick..
When our Son returned from Iraq in May the entire 1st platoon pooled their money along with mom and dad and rented a 3 story beach house in Oceanside Ca. Well let me tell you..you haven't lived the life until you spent some time with our Marines for 2 weeks.
( I'm getting to the story..trust me when i post this obama will make his announcement)
The funniest thing was our first morning waking up and of them were in their under ware with these little girly cooking aprons on..cigs hanging from their mouths drinking a beer and cooking breakfast..
First thing i hear..hey pops..how about breakfast?
I look around and people are sleeping everywhere and i go..after like 10 cases of beer last night you are cooking breakfast for 20 passed out marines?
' It's what we do' was the reply.. The other Marine said it would be ready when they woke up.
So earlier in the evening..they got in at 2am and we already had beer and pizza waiting i got started talking to "SHOUT-OUT" Sgt. Howe and he told me that Jordan was one of the best Marines he had ever had the pleasure to work with..
You know..It brought tears to my eyes.. Jordan is so humble and never talks about himself.. To raise a hero in the eyes of a Marine kind of chokes me up right now.. anyhoo..
The next day there was a get together at Camp P and we all went to look at Jordan's new barracks and the 3/5 bought a bunch of beer and all the parents were there and spent a great day meeting everyone.. And there a bunch of newbies there and Jordan called one over and told him ' this is my mom and dad..what ever they want you get for them and if the beer cans goes empty..you do push ups.. we laughed so much..and had fun teasing the newbie..
I tried on all Jordan's stuff and let me tell you..It was heavy..

Obama Stops Advertising in Red Battleground States

Barack Obama’s presidential campaign has put the brakes on ads that were running in seven states carried by the GOP in the 2004 presidential election, FOX News has learned.

Of the seven states — including Alaska, Georgia, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota — Florida and Virginia are considered key battlegrounds this year. Obama’s decision to stop advertising in those states is raising eyebrows.

Well that decision will be raising glasses in throughout Lizardia.

The drinking thread is thus established.

Cheers.

Won't matter. Biden is a bad pick--he's got too much baggage and a lot of us remember the plagiarism charges from his 88 run. Besides two senators on a ticket is never a good thing-neither have any executive experience and Biden will not help in any battleground states.

Bumper Sticker Could Indicate Bayh Is Obama's Veep

After weeks of speculation and days of intense rumors, the answer to who Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama would name as his running mate may have come down to a bumper sticker printed in Lenexa.

KMBC's Micheal Mahoney reported that the company, which specializes in political literature, has been printing Obama-Bayh material. That's Bayh as in U.S. Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana. Word leaked out about the material as it was being printed up by Gill Studios of Lenexa. The Obama campaign had said it would make the announcement by text message on Friday.

It does sound like TSB was a willing participant, so you're probably right. He's off active service.

Sure, go ahead, laugh if you want to. I've seen your type before.
Flashy, making the scene, flaunting convention. Yeah, I know what you're thinking. What's this guy making such a big stink about old sharp-edged threads? Well, let me give you a hint, junior. Maybe we can live without sharp edges, people like you and me. Maybe. Sure, we're too old to change the world, but what about that kid, sitting down, opening a thread, right now, in a branch at the local library and finding posts about... pee-pees and wee-wees on the Cat in the Hat and The Five Chinese Brothers? Doesn't HE deserve better? Look. If you think this is about oversharp edges and rounded rectangles, you'd better think again. This is about that kid's right to read a post without getting his mind warped! Or maybe that turns you on, Johnson? Maybe that's how you get your kicks? You and your good-time buddies. Well I got a flash for ya, joy-boy: Party time is over.

Get Firefox. Then you can add noscript and eliminate those ads that are annoying and slow down the browser.

AdBlocker Plus is also great for that as well. I have both, makes page loading so much faster. Though at times I do miss the K&N ads I used to see here.

196 Kosh's Shadow  Fri, Aug 22, 2008 3:12:50pm

Well, the article on MSNBC said Biden, Bayh, and Chet Edwards were possibilities, as was Kaine. Also that Pelosi would be pleased with the choice.
That guarantees we lizards will hate the choice - and even some moonbats I know who hate Pe-louse.

The article also said McCain's choice would be "unconventional", which might not be good - or it might.

I believe in Karma. Hence Barry O's comments about his typical white grand ma will come back to bite his butt with older white women that are Hillary supporters. If I was Obama I would avoid Jesse Jackson as well at the convention . Given Jackson's past comments about what he wanted to do to Barry, I would expect he would have a pocket knife and a retainer from the Clintons.

Beware the ides of August, Barry Caesar. Hillary is positioning for 2012.

If you decide to get Firefox, be sure to keep IE as well. Believe it or not, there are a few websites that work better in IE than FF... like the Linksys site. If you wanna crash your browser, and likely have to reboot as well, go there using FF. It loads in a few seconds in IE, but it'll grind your FF to a fine powder if you click on more than one or two internal links.
