Zombie: Prisoners' Rights "Recreate 68" Protest - Mini Report

Mon, Aug 25, 2008 at 3:48:46 pm PDT

(Zombie's reports are cross-posted at Pajamas Media.)

IMG_4873.JPG

Recreate 68 scheduled a "major" protest for "prisoners' rights" on Monday afternoon. The event seriously fizzled, with perhaps 200 protesters at most. The march ended outside the Federal Courthouse in downtown Denver. Here, a Recreate 68 devotee watches two masked wannabe terror boys "guard" one of the speakers (out of the frame off to the left). Notice radical firebrand and fake Indian Ward Churchill in the background.

IMG_4854.JPG

Here he is up close, in his typical off-putting pose.

IMG_4846.JPG

Sometimes, even a feeble, flopped protest can take all the energy out of you.

IMG_4878.JPG

In the protesters' fantasy world, they were going to assault or invade the courthouse in some way, but several massive contingents of police guarded every entrance. In fact, overall, the police outnumbered the protesters.

G-d bless the police. They have one heck of a job being out amongst the great unwashed, probably harassed by the moonbats and they are protecting lots of people and property.

A good way to keep things quiet, but before it's over the moonbats will want their version of "72 virgins" and do something to get themselves arrested. I assume Denver PD knows this.

Recreate 68 scheduled a "major" protest for "prisoners' rights" on Monday afternoon.

What about my right to live my LIFE as I choose, (called liberty by some), and the right to keep what I spend my LIFE creating (called property by some).

What should a those who take those things have more rights than I do?

Democrats are fond of using Franklin's aphorism that "those who would give up essential liberty for temporary security deserve neither and will lose both."
They apply this to the "essential" liberty of not having your library reconds searchable or other equally mild procedures designed to keep terrorists from incinerating people.
They wouldn't dream of applying it to the liberty of spending your money however you want--or, in Obama's case, your themrostat, choice of vehicle, or choice of food.

No, he's a Cherohonkee.

Overview
Cherohonkees are a special breed of New Age Baby Boomers who have a unique affinity for turquoise jewelry, wolves, and Native American culture. Most prefer living in the country or in close proximity to a liberal-minded town, that hasn't been spoiled by McDonald's, The Gap, Wal-Mart, and the other scourges of the white man.

Pale Face Guilt
Cherohonkees have a unique type of white guilt (usually associated with black slavery). They share the Native American's respect for Mother Earth and feel frustrated by the moral and spiritual shortcomings of their own people. Unable to identify with WASP culture and heritage, Cherohonkees have an inherent aversion to argyle sweaters, chipped beef, and khakis.

Denver police are stocking up on guns that fire a pepper spray-like substance instead of bullets - a less-lethal weapon used to disperse crowds - in advance of the Democratic National Convention.

The department recently ordered 88 Mark IV launchers and projectiles at a cost "in the low six figures," the company that makes the weapons stated in a news release Monday.

The request was for delivery in advance of the DNC, according to Louisville- based Security With Advanced Technology Inc.

Al Capp created a hippie character named "Joanie Phoney." Joan Baez freakeds out and cried that mean old Al was making fun of her, but "Joanie Phoney" looked nothing like Joan Baez. Actually she looked a lot like Cindy Sheehan.

It isn't even close especially if McCain has he hands full with Russia and Syria and iran and A-stan which is exactly what is shaping up - and Georgia.

Mitt is viable but, frankly, I don't think there is a chance. It's McCain's way or the highway and he just doesn't like the guy. I think that is okay. Bring in someone he can partner with and elevate for future election cycles - doesn't need to be a big name in my obscure opinion. This election distills down to will folks trust The One?

Obama calls for media boycott, for real.

In case your were wondering, it appears as though Barack Obama is totally fed up with the mainstream media right along with us. In fact, he's asking us to do something unprecedented in Presidential elections--to target (read: boycott) media that runs the 'William Ayers' attack ad. We knew that the swiftboat attacks were inevitable but now we know damn well that we can help Barack defend himself as we should. All we have to do is turn off the TV. More details from Politico below.
.....
"The Obama campaign plans to punish the stations that air the ad financially, an Obama aide said, organizing his supporters to target the stations that air it and their advertisers."

The Denver PD is more than ready to take on the anarchist wing of the Dem freak show.

Let 'er rip, boys!

It's really a misnomer to say that anarchists are Democrats. They aren't. They don't vote. Their only "job" in life is to create chaos and, well, anarchy. But other than maybe getting themselves arrested for turning over cars or starting fires, they are of no consequence to anyone, liberal or conservative. They're freaks and want you to gawk at their freakiness.

And if it needs to be said, Democrats, like Republicans understand the need for an orderly society governed by laws. I believe both of us want the same thing for ourselves and families. We just have different ideas on how to get it.

The big difference is the lack of a military draft. In 1968, there was conscription, and many of the protesters were potential conscripts highly motivated to avoid military service by any and means, including overthrow of the government.

It's even worse, he's trying to get the Dept. of Justice involved.....
Obama to DOJ: Block terrorist ad

Sen. Barack Obama has launched an all-out effort to block a Republican billionaire’s efforts to tie him to domestic and foreign terrorists in a wave of negative television ads.

Obama’s campaign has written the Department of Justice demanding a criminal investigation of the “American Issues Project,” the vehicle through which Dallas investor Harold Simmons is financing the advertisements. The Obama campaign — and tens of thousands of supporters — also is pressuring television networks and affiliates to reject the ads. The effort has met with some success: CNN and Fox News are not airing the attacks.

The main thing about "international" VP responsibilities is attending foreign dignitary funerals and otherwise showing-the-flag.

In the fine print the VP is second in line to being our head of state. If that tragically were to be necessary, Palin would be the most conservative leader we've had since Reagan. Successful governor of a successful state, more executive experience than the Obabidens already.

I wouldn't hold the kids against her either. Oldest one is out of the nest already, serving in the Army. (Which imho says she and her husband are doing just fine in the 'parenting' department ;-). )
