Conventional Discussion Thread 4

Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 3:47:41 pm PDT

We’ll open this evening’s discussions of the televised edition of the Democratic Convention, as Cecile Richards of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America takes the podium.

The highlight of the night, of course, is Hillary Clinton, scheduled to be onstage at about 10:30 pm ET.

UPDATE at 8/26/08 3:51:05 pm:

Give it up for the UFO Man, Dennis Kucinich!

Ah, Kucinich. He has been an itch under our scales for years, the only Democrat with even a pale clue what we are up to in that secret chamber under the Denver Airport.

Fortunately, nobody believes him, thanks to the Halliburton mind-control beam and the admittedly rough discipline administered by our Tsunami/Plane Crash division.
Once our Manchurian candidate, McCain, is in office, we are home free.
Btw, we are working on an order for 20 million head of moonbat, on the hoof, FOB Denver, for spring delivery. The principals have offered a new velcro formula and a software upgrade for our UAVs, and I have accepted. The roundup starts January 21st, with 650 black helicopters assigned to campuses and hippy warrens in the northeast alone.

...we are up to in that secret chamber under the Denver Airport.

Underground alien bases.

New York City
There is an entrance to the tunnels in New York City "in the vicinity of Midtown Manhattan that can be reached through an abandoned elevator shaft that only very few know about

The Nahanni Valley (Canada) Entrance
This covers 250 square miles in the southern end of the Mackenzie Mountains of Canada. It lies almost 550 miles due west of Fort Simpson on the Mackenzie River of northwest Canada. Hot springs and sulfur geysers keep the valley warmer than the surrounding areas by about 30 degrees year -round (the valley is above 60 degrees latitude), making it perpetually mist-covered. This valley is inhabited only by animals as people entering the valley are usually found headless and quite dead. The Indian tribes of the area avoid this valley. (These tribes include the Ojibways, the Slave, the Dogribs, the Stoney, the Beavers and the Chipweyans.) This valley is often referred to as "the Valley of the Headless Men.

The Liyobaa Cave Entrance
This was sealed off by Catholic Priests who believed it to be an entrance to "Hell." "The village of 'Liyobaa' or to translate, 'The Cavern of Death,' was located in the province of Zapoteca, somewhere near the ancient village of 'Mictlan' or the village of the 'Underworld.

"The Cavern of Death was actually located in the last chamber of an eight chamber building or temple. This temple had four rooms above the ground and four more important chambers built below the surface of the Earth. This building was located in "Theozapotlan," and the tunnel entrance led one beneath a mountain.

The Maltese Cave Entrance
This entrance is located on the island of Malta, near the small village of "Casal Paula." (This village is built on the "Corradino" plateau, and overlooks the capitol town of Malta, "Valletta," as well as Grand Harbour.) In 1902, workmen digging a well in Casal Paula fell into a subterranean cavern. The well was being dug for a house on "Hal Saflienti," the main street in Casal Paula. The cavern the workers had fallen into connected with an entire complex of caves and tunnels. This entrance is known as the "Hypogeum of Hal Saflienti." (In Latin, "Hypogeum" is the name for an underground structure.) "The tunnels under the Hypogeum have been sealed off even since a school took 30 students into the caves and disappeared, guide and all. Search parties were never able to locate any trace of the people and children.

The Staffordshire, England Entrance
Somewhere in Staffordshire, England, a lonely field exists in which a laborer discovered a large iron plate beneath the dirt. The "hatch" was large and oval, with an iron ring mounted on it. This entrance led into the tunnels. The field is in a valley surrounded on almost all sides by woods. The laborer was digging a trench for some purpose. The incident was reported in "A History of Staffordshire" by Dr. Plot, who wrote the book in the late 1700s. It may be possible to find the entrance if it can be ascertained exactly which valley the laborer was digging in.

The Dulce, New Mexico Base
An underground Military Base/Laboratory in Dulce, New Mexico connects with the underground network of tunnels which honeycombs our planet, and the lower levels of this base are allegedly under the control of Inner Earth beings or Aliens. This base is connected to Los Alamos research facilities via an underground "tube-shuttle." (It can be assumed that such a shuttle way would be a straight-line construction. It should then be possible, by using maps and some deduction, to determine the most likely location of this base, especially since the general location is already known.) Beginning in 1947, a road was built near the Dulce Base, under the cover of a lumber company. No lumber was ever hauled, and the road was later destroyed.

I heard on Jim Clyburn on Dennis Prager's show today, and he was tearing apart Pat Buchanan for referring to Obama as "the kid." Apparently, that's a racist comment.

Of course, Clyburn said nothing about Carter referring to Obama as the "black boy." Interesting.

You realize you can get a similar herd out of CA and you wont wear as much flesh off them on the drive to Colorado.

True, but we have scheduled a heavy snow fall for the Rockies this winter (to keep the media/lefties on the ski slopes a little longer), and it may not melted soon enough to meet the delivery timeframe. Even so, it is a worthwhile suggestion, so I'll see if there is any slack in the global warming schedule.

Btw, some of the hatchlings may not have seen the LGF Organizational Chart yet. This is not comprehensive by any means, but it is all we can release publicly in this continuum.

That's probably bad, as the more Marxist wing of the party gets even more power and influence than they have even now.

I think they have over-reached in a pretty big way. I'm not sure there has ever been a convention where the candidate actually lost ground from the VP pick and did not pick up ground during the convention. The infanticide/abortion issue is going to drive a tremendous number of people away. And now the Hillary camp is saying "hey - not our job to unify the party. That is the candidate's job." Meanwhile, Obama has spent his day out in the boonies ranting and raving about who has how many houses and how much money it takes to be rich.

That's what they seem to be saying. The first idea was that after a few states Hillary would stop the roll call. Next they were going to have the delegates vote at breakfast, then do a faux roll call for the cameras. When that didn't work out they proposed a secret ballot. Hillary's supporters are not having any of it.

In those days the conventions actually had a purpose. People voted on the candidates, and on the platform. There was backroom dealing, there were floor fights (vote, not fist). The '64 Republican convention, by all accounts, was a doozy.

This convention is merely a lengthy party to celebrate a fait accompli. To the extent it isn't--i.e., to the extent that the Clintons are trying to work some behind the scenes leverage--both sides are bending heaven and earth to keep such disagreements away from the cameras to avoid harshing the attendees' mellow, and to avoid any more internal damage than the Democrats have already sustained.

Plus, of course, the participants' actual agendas must be hushed up at all costs if the Democrats hope to prevail in November, which makes for an unending roll of dreary and contentless platitudes.

Yes. Yes. Yes.
Amen.

OT -

The symposium with Al-Jareeza at the Buffalo Rose is suspose to take place around 6:00pm tomorrow. I have read, on a blog, that the bikers who frequent the place are going to show up and protest.

The BR is only 2 miles from where I live, and I have to stop by the theatre at 5:00pm, and the theatre is only 2 blocks away, so I am going to saunter over there with my camera and see what's happening.

A lot of our local bikers take an all day Sunday ride, and they stop mid-afternoon at the Buffalo Rose for lunch and booze, and there are normally 50 or more bikes parked outside up and down the street. And they are really mad that the club is hosting Al-Jazeera, so it may get interesting.

I'm not Zombie, but I can take a decent picture, so if I get anything of interest, I will post them on my server and put up a link, hopefully by tomorrow evening.

403 Blue Chip  Tue, Aug 26, 2008 4:53:28pm

Obama & Biden? It’s ‘Puff & Gruff” in Saville Row suits.

As for Michelle’s speech last night:

I’ll say this – the kids were cute.

That was the best speech delivered by a woman since Judy Garland (playing Ester Blodgett) walked on stage to collect her (fake) Oscar and announced “I’m Mrs. Norman Maine!” Of course, the crowd went wild with cheering and applause and there’s not a dry eye in the house. The only difference is: one speech was calculated for maximum emotional effect, playing to a fake audience, choreographed to the hilt and stage managed to perfection by professionals - and the other one was in a sappy Judy Garland movie.

Btw: is the daughter’s name, Sasha, the left’s version of ‘Dakota’ or ‘Brianna’ - or just a new/old version of ‘Susan’ or ‘Sarah’?

Personally, I’d have been more interested in the ‘unvarnished’ version of Michelle Obama. All gloomy and cheerless, talking about how America is unfair to women, how the deck is stacked against you, with enemies around every corner spreading lies about her and her wonderful husband.

Oops, that’s Hillary’s speech from 1992.

That’s what I like about Michelle Obama: just like my morning martini, she’s strong, cold, and slightly bitter – and leaves a nasty aftertaste.

Anyway, it’s nice to see Ted Kennedy’s illness hasn’t affected his appetite – for applause. But let’s give the old dog his due: other than him, how many far left liberals from Boston actually get to run for President only to wind up getting rejected by the voters? (Not including John Kerry. Or Mike Dukakis.)

You do the math-I’m drinking martini’s & listening to show tunes...

Or do you have several ch-ch-ch-ch- changes?

Is he starring in the remake of The Man Who Fell To Earth?

Their daughter is named Alexander? I know in other cases you are correct, but perhaps not this one....

Perhaps Alexandra. But I would buy Natasha or just Sasha over that.

Russian names can be...confusing. But it's my understanding that Sasha is a boy's nickname (for Alexander), maybe it works for Alexandra, too?

Short for Natasha, as in Boris and Natasha. I think the Obamas are Bullwinkle fans.

Actually, Sasha is short for Alexandra and Alexander. It is, for all intents and purposes, a unisex name. I think the Obamas are commie fans, but they do not realize that it is quite a monarchist, bourgeois name... Hell, if these yahoos want to be "elite" they could at least try to learn some history.

He is a citizen and he does have a vote. So quit your whining and go find a job. BHO will do nothing to help this loser except make him completely dependent on government by taking your and my tax dollars and giving them to him.

Double the short term capital gains tax Barry, that will really get this economy moving. What an idiot the Dems picked this time around.

I lost my job to Mexico. Gee, couldn't have to do with the demands of your union, could it?

/last time I checked, no one's entitled to guaranteed employment for life

Libs need to make up their minds as to whether it's a bad thing to lose a job to Mexico or cheer employment of illegal Mexicans in the U.S.

They make me nuts.

The pention for serving even one term as a Congressman is unbelievable.

We do need to get citizen legislators in there -- not those who become "lifers". How we do that, I don't know.

I DO know that, in the end, it boils down to the character of the individual. Examples/contrasts? Reagan and Edwards.

re: #422 Lynn B.

I have to laugh -- I was reading an article on Obama's proposed "tax cuts" -- well, they're not "tax cuts." What Obama wants to do is raise every Federal tax (some in the double digits), then (if/when you file your income tax) you can get some of it back in the form of a "refund." (and, apparently, in order to get some of it back, you have to jump through govt hoops, etc.) But, Obama's lying when he claims he's going to institute a "tax cut."

I had a dog named Sasha (female lab/cocker mix). She was a sweetie. Not a commie bone in her body!

Jewish delegates walk out on Carter

A handful of Jewish delegates staged a mini protest of Jimmy Carter moments ago, walking out of the Pepsi Center as the former president appeared on stage.

"Boo, boo, boo," shouted Barbara Effman of Sunrise, holding up "thumbs down" as she exited with state Sen. Steve Geller.

"Some people have mistakenly said they consider Sen. Obama anti-Israel," Geller said. "Sen. Obama is very strong and pro-Israel. President Carter is very anti-Israel. President Carter has been very pro-Palestinian, has published books full of lies about Israel and indicating a complete lack of understanding of the mid east peace process. I certainly was not going to stick around for that."

462 Florida Lady  Tue, Aug 26, 2008 5:03:55pm

Actually, I was not pleased with the way the older Obama girl was dressed.

Memo to Mama Obama: A sleeveless cocktail dress for a 12-year-old on a national stage is entirely inappropriate.

OTOH, the younger girl looked positively adorable.

He is going to raise taxes. You think the economy is bad now, wait until he stifles the stock market and takes away more of your disposable income.

Damn liberals!

I suspect that the liberals are going to find out just how many normal people there are in American on election day. Modern liberals are fantacists.

OT, but when the Denver airport was new, the state-of-the-art computer-operated baggage handling system would not function. The airport was built on an old Indian burial ground. Finally, the authorities brought in some Indian medicine men to perform rituals to calm the spirits of the dead. The system promptly started up without a further hitch.

I have a feeling Zombie has been to Denver before . . .
