So, everyone noticed Bill Clinton's tongue in cheek, yes? Everything he said after that was a lie or a big stretch of the truth. He made it sound like everything was hearts and roses when he ruled the White House. Anyone with a shred of intelligence will know that the Clintons said everything over the last two days with forked tongues in cheeks. Sorry, I could only take so many lies and now blowhard Kerry is on screaming like all the world's ills are the fault of the Bush administration. Same shit, new day.

re: #15 Dahveed

Montana's governor was talking about how big our military is compared to the next largest. Bill Clinton said it's been gutted. Can we get an accounting please?

Well, both are correct. It is the largest, and still by a significant margin over the Russians (or Chinese). Problem is that Clinton did most of the gutting, and Bush has been trying to build it up, and to create a fighting force of extraordinary magnitude (sorry, had to throw in a KFM reference). Bush has succeeded - the US military is incredibly lethal and capable of handling any situation, but with evolving threats, they can't rest on their laurels and needs additional troops so that we're better prepared going forward.

The best advice - as usually - is FOLLOW THE MONEY - Former President Clinton did his Party Duty - Including LOTS of references to "Global Warming" - an issue he refused to champion when he was President, along with AIDS in Africa. Watch the contributions to the "Library." They will be soft - AND - Speak Louder than Anything Else. The Former President represented "the Best Government that Money Could Buy" - AND it did.

If McCain wins, expect nothing. The Democrat controlled Congress will not pass any McCain legislation so they can bash the Republicans some more come 2012.

Come 2012, we will probably be screwed even worse.

Sorry, where I work at they are the power. We just had the northern "white" suburb of Dunwoody create their on city because the county absolutely would not respond to even the mildest request for equal services and facilities to the majority black south county. The County wouldn't even do a "town hall meeting" to discuss the issues with them. It's the "old boy" system replaced by the "home boy" system. Sharpton controls 10% of the Democrat vote in the N.Y. Democrat primary, meaning he holds the balance of power among Democrat candidates. As a consequence, they pander to him.

He's the protege of Sonny Carson, now deceased. Carson was a black race hustler in NYC who would incite black protesters to riot, causing multiple injuries to the police. He also attacked Jewish school teachers in the schools. Carson humiliated the first black Democrat mayor of NYC, David Dinkins, to the point that Dinkins lost his re-election race to Rudy Giuliani.

Sharpton has said he learned everything he knows from Carson.

Kerry promised to release his entire military record years ago, but never did. Suspicion was that he was dishonorably discharged for his anti-military activities, but that Democrat President Jimmy Carter's pardon of Vietnam draft dodgers forced the military to change his discharge to honorable.

With his entire military record, we'll never know for sure.

Actually it was Ford that did that (pardons).
And, I think there were some "strings attached" on the dishonorable->honorable issue ... more like a "general discharge under honorable conditions" or something.

In either case, if Kerry ever did have a dishonorable (which later got changed), it would disqualify him, I believe.

Thats Georgia, right? I know Woodstock a little.

My dad started the local hospital in Woodstock with the help from a local doctor. It was business, not charity. I remember Woodstock would roll up its awnings at 6 PM and become a ghost town. Things have changed over the last 30 years. I doubt I would even recognize the town nowadays....

I just got back from the "anti-Al-Jarzeera" protest at the Buffalo Rose bar in downtown Golden.

I got a lot of pictures, which I will try to do something with and put on my server in a day or so. I'm not a Zombie, but perhaps the Lizards would like to see them.

It was moonbats and extreme wingnuts, and a few people who I asked WHY are you here, a lot of flags, honking horns and of course Al-Jarzeera. I didn't notice any scrotums.

By the way, I was on the air with Al-Jarzeera. One of our local moonbat activists saw me and asked if I would like to watch the Clinton speech with two other Golden citizens, and then discuss it with Josh Rushing, the host. I got pictures.

So, I did. I'll go into some detail later. Oh, and Al-Jarzeera gave me a cap and coffee mug. Un-fucking believable. Maybe I'll wear the cap to my next KKK meeting (scarcasm).

Bush will have to meet at the shore and beat it back into the sea if he doesn't want to catch hell for this one.

People keep indulging in the fantasy that there is some magic disqualification that could keep Obama or Kerry or anyone else from the Presidency. The only, let me repeat that, only qualifications to being elected President are being over 35 years old and being a "natural born citizen." Good luck to anyone trying to prove Obama was really born in someplace like Kenya or Canada. If they make a real good case it gets interesting and frankly I'm not losing sleep over it.

There are no other issues. If Kerry was convicted by a court martial it would have made him ineligible. If Obama failed to register for the draft it would not make him ineligible. Al Hastings was impeached and thrown off the Federal bench and he was still eligible for a seat in Congress. There are no secret magic hoops and approvals. The Electors from the states and DC meet and vote, the votes are counted, the results are announced, that is all.

My son, who is being deployed for the second time on Friday, asks that we all think long and hard about who we vote for in November. He asks that we don't repeat bad history and stand up against the liberal crowd that is trying to ruin this country.

My son won't be able to vote because the ballots won't be able to be counted in time. I personally think that sucks shit. Pardon my french.

McCain Fact

Did you know that John McCain received 5 Navy Medals of Honor during his career in the Navy? McCain has been awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Legion of Merit, Purple Heart, and the Distinguished Flying Cross.

I know what they meant, but it could be interpreted by someone pretending to be stupid that they are saying McCain received the Medal of Honor 5 times. This is poorly written in my opinion.

646 indythinker  Wed, Aug 27, 2008 7:40:24pm

This is how I see it:

About 10 AM this morning: Bill Clinton receives a nicely printed memo with raised gold "Barack Obama 2008" and faux presidential seal, CC Hillary, from Michelle Obama. It says I know what Hillary is trying to do, submarining my husband, I won't let you do it. If you don't call Barack by his name many times in your speech, and say out loud that he has the foreign policy experience to do the job, we will tell the media on you. We will tell them you are trying to hurt Barack. Bend over, biotch. This is serious. It could kill off Bill's remaining reputation and destroy Hillary's 2012 hopes.

Bill Clinton gets to the convention, walks up to the podium, and absolutely submarines Barack while guaranteeing he and Hillary will get praise for supporting and working hard for Barack. He says "With Joe Biden's experience and wisdom, supporting Barack Obama's proven understanding, insight and good instincts, America will have the national security leadership we need," meaning word-for-word that Barack better use his instinct and understand Joe Biden, but sounding like Bill really supports Barack. The whole speech was like that. Michelle lets out a shit-eating "I see that you are doing my bidding" grin on her face when Bill gave the lines he ordered her to. Bill kept playing it both ways. Vote Barack....because he's a Democrat. Remember, I didn't have much experience either, and I had good judgement on XYZ, implying Barack is an egomaniac race card player who rarely listens to reason.

It's a dangerous game, but I think it will work. Bill goes out on the hustings for a few days, gets bored, then creates a squabble with the Obama campaign, and is asked by them to keep quiet for the rest of the campaign. He gladly complies. On November 4 he votes McCain like most Americans.

Cost of Democrat convention: $20 million
Cost of Bill Clinton sucking it up and asking people to vote for Loser Man: $0
Value of seeing look on Barack's face when he starts concession speech on November 4: priceless

re: #477 lifeofthemind

What does "qualified to be president" have to do with the reality, that Obama is a dangerous narcissistic asshat who lacks the knowledge, judgement, experience and integrity to be president.

We don't elect presidents because they are qualified to run for the office, we elect presidents because we feel most comfortable with the collective choice that we are making.

No need to send up warning flags about the danger that Obama could win. When you are one of the last two standing, you are a threat to win. But his negatives, the whole pantheon of them, will destroy his candidacy and the democrats will be denied one more time.

The dems have had two presidents serve more than one term in the last 80 years, and they haven't been all that successful in getting first terms, either.

John McCain is my friend.

And then stabs John in the ass and smiles.

You trust people who would do that to their friend?

No clue, but it looks like a McCain sponsored site.

Th original link was McCainPalin.com but now it's redirecting to this Pawlenty site.

If it's Polenta (BLAND!) I sure hope Sarah Palin gets to do the keynote.

I hate liberals so much. All they do is talk talk talk and blame others. Shut up and do your jobs.

I don't want to pay for healthcare for illegal aliens, or lazy bastards who won't work.

So the oil companies made trillions, and anybody's supposed to care about a few billion in subsidies (not like I'm for them, mind you). Class warfare? That's not change ... that's the same!

Yet they fail to mention how much in taxes the oil companies pay.

I think they are saying he received 5 very highly regarded medals...and they are, I have a Bronze Star, but none of the others (and don't want a Purple heart, thank you very much. They are all honorable medals, but a Medal of Honor is a specific medal. To have 5 of them would imply you are Rambo, Moses, and Zombie, all rolled in one.

I'm all for equal pay for women of equal qualifications and experience. And good employers pay that kind of money. Those women who are stupid enough to stay with those who don't deserve what they get.

Not McCain's site, could be a spoof.....
Could be real, but if the announcement is Fri. don't thing they'd put that up so soon.

Word is from a reliable source (in my family) that Pawlenty showed up at the Minnesota State fair a few days a go with 2 secret service guys...fine, expected.

He showed up today...and had 15 guys...

Assuming true, anyone want to make a prediction now?

The change I'd like to see is toward more freedom. Make the government so small we barely hear about it. It's become a Leviathan.

Free people up so that they can live their lives, produce wealth and pursue happiness to the fullest of their abilities. This is what it means to observe the rights of man. That's change I can believe in.

'Talking to Iran will help us ensure security.'

As we all know, talking solves everything.

A few years ago Biden wanted to send the Iranians 200 million dollars.

Biden:

'Remember when the world used to trust us?'

Yea....I guess so. Gee Joe. Who does EVERYONE call on when something goes WRONG?

Thank G_d Obama is the brilliant military tatician he is.
If he had only been in a position to have done something with his insights. O'bama is more knowledgeable then everyone else - those West Point ring knockers wasted all that time at the Point. They just needed O'bamas wisdom and insight all this time.Too bad he didn't have a "bat phone" into the situation room. I know he expects the dim bulbs assembled there tonight to actually believe this sh*t but do they think we are all stupid ? I mean he really has damaged his credibility with me big time tonight

Biden: "John McCain is my friend". With friends like that..
Biden went way beyond here tonight. If McCain had planned on not being overly harsh on Biden, tonight cleared the way - go after him full-bore John ! I was never thrilled with the McCain nomination but this sh*t is putting me more and more in his corner. I'm looking forward to rooting for him now !
