Conventional Discussion Thread 10

Thu, Aug 28, 2008 at 5:25:06 pm PDT

New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson just finished advocating invading Pakistan (a recurring theme at this Dem convention), and here’s a thread to discuss the final approach to the Chosen One’s speech on the steps of the Parthenon.

Well, Denver’s Invesco Field, anyway.

Every seat in the stadium is full, and many of these seats’ occupants will be weeping before the night is through. The place is lousy with celebrities.

There is no such thing as global warming, it's called climate change.

Its not about them opening their own wallets, its about them trying to convince you to open yours, without them opening theirs. If that doesnt work, then the idea is to get into power and legislate into law the ability to take from your wallet, send it overseas or wherever, and still a hold of their own dosh.

Look at Bono as these other self-righteous bastards that have more money than a bull can sh*t. They should put up or shut up.

Update on the parking issue. I just heard on the radio that for security purposes, there is no parking at the stadium.

That helps explain why the private lots are bumping up their prices to as much as they think the market will bear.

The stadium has enough parking for about 60 thousand. That's a lot of spaces to loose tonight.

Obama will deliver a message of salvation. The American people are in a state of despair. The one will offer them hope. Choirs of angles will sing glorious to the Messiah. Praise to Obama...speak but the word and my soul will be healed.

You are all going to lose your homes, Enter the world's savior, the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world...we are not worthy

The economy is the worse it has ever been...income is shrinking...speak but a word and our souls will be healed.;

The world is aflame with unjust wars and murder...McCain will keep us in Iraq for another 25 years, he will attack Iran, he will murder more children...he is more of the same... Enter Obama, he will lead us to the promised land.

Nobody has medical insurance anymore...Bush has taken it all away... Don't worry Obama is here and there is hope...

Our status in the world has deteriorated...nobody likes us anymore... Obama is the One we have been waiting for....

This convention is like a coronation...the previous speakers...the angels of change, the principalities of hope all spoke on the big stage...but now it is the "chosen one's" turn and the stage isn't big enough for him....so he will speak at the stadium and the masses will come all 80,000 of them. He will be crowned...his coronation will astound all of Europe as they geneflect at his feet. Obama, Obama in the highest...

excuse me while I puke....

He has also served on the House Financial Services Committee and on the House International Relations Committee and the very powerful House Ways and Means Committee. Since his second term, he has served as chief deputy Republican whip, the highest appointed position in the Republican caucus.

The economy is the worse it has ever been...income is shrinking...speak but a word and our souls will be healed.;

Kinda sounds like the rise of the Antichrist to me.
BTW... I might be wrong, but isn't the set a facsimile of the front of the US Supreme Court?

Well here's the advance text of the Obamessiah's sermon.

Tonight, more Americans are out of work and more are working harder for less. More of you have lost your homes and more are watching your home values plummet. More of you have cars you can’t afford to drive, credit card bills you can’t afford to pay and tuition that is beyond your reach.

These challenges are not all of government’s making. But the failure to respond is a direct result of a broken politics in Washington and the failed presidency of George W. Bush.

America, we are better than these last eight years. We are a better country than this.

Piss and moan, rinse, repeat.

They should have stayed at the Pepsi Center. They could have protected him. Instead they have National Guard, police, state troopers....from everywhere...secret service up the wahoo....ban the airlines from fly overs, close 5 miles of Interstate....

But this is for the people they say. The cult following....just like every Democrat program for the people. It looks good, it feels good, but other's have to pay for it all. All those donations to help get people elected going for one night, one show.

How many citizens in Denver will need police tonight and find that they are all at the stadium? The audacity of audacity.

Not only that, but in Lincoln's time, the Democrat Party was VERY much the party of the South and its defense of slavery--as it was very much a Southern Rights party until Johnson.
