Whatever differences Pat the Puke has with the far left crazies continue to narrow.

2 Golem Akbar  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 12:52:54pm

Well, that seals it: Obama has to deal with the anti-Israel/Jew-blaming, Western civilization/democracy-bashing likes of Pat Buchanan. That stink will permeate the democratic party.

3 Kragar (Proud to be Kafir)  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 12:53:42pm

Pat is a self serving elitist shit who'll back anyone he thinks will go against Israel and will suck up to him.

Hey, Pat! Anyone with a functioning brain doesn't care a lick about what you think. Do yourself a favor and be quiet.

I wonder how Ronulans will handle this? They seemed to look to him for advice all the time.

13 FrogMarch  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 1:00:10pm

Years ago - while chatting online with idiot left-wingers (don't ask)- the left-wingers would often try to prove their moderation by saying "But I like Pat Buchanan".

I think I shall refrain from making my usual suggestion.

[That he be introduced to a couple a Large Sicilian Gentlemen from New Jersey?]

Yes, that one.

[Is there anything that you would suggest?]

That he stick his head in a toilet and flush.

[It's not like anyone is going to know the difference.]

That giant sucking sound you hear is Pat's brain going down the toilet.

Exactly. And trust me - these left-wingers were not shy about their hatred and distrust of Jews.

24 Iron Fist  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 1:03:13pm

This doesn't really surprise me. Buchanan has more in common with the Left than he does the Right, these days.

25 offendi  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 1:03:21pm

Pat really, really, needs someone that will make the trains run on time like Mussolini, so Obama-love is no suprise.

Any potential demagogue in a storm, eh Pat?

26 GGMac  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 1:03:39pm

The man excels at saying what his audience wants to hear which is another way of saying Obama is a dangerous demagogue who seems to really believe his own BS while he is delivering it. Well we now know Sarah is tight with the Jewish community in Alaska. All 5 of them?

re: #74 buzzsawmonkey

Absolutely.
My own observation is that the Church, with the help of Father Time and the Grim Reaper, has been very successful in marginalizing and defeating the Coughlinite strain. The major concern I have as a practicing Catholic is that the remnants of Coughlinism are in bed with the left. And the left is not so easy to defeat.
It is a good thing that the Pope, at least, understands this convergence very well.

Is Palin Catholic?

86 formercorpsman  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 1:29:02pm

Unfortunately, I am getting old enough now to remember when he actually was given reverence within the Republic circles.

At one time, this was a guy who was in the vitriolic cross-hairs of every liberal, they claimed him to be the face of conservatism, and lambasted the conservative movement for it.

What absolutely amazes me, is how the left seems to forget how they used him as the poster boy of their political opponents, & how he was supposedly the "real" conservative within the party construct.

This canard has been reduced to the likes of him, and Olberman cheering like a couple of Heathers for a sucker, Buchanan invoking Obama's talents as tantamount to that of Ronald Reagan, and Keith is grinning like a 10 dollar hooker in Biloxi.

This is just bullshit.

As in all people, there's some good. She may have expressed herself on the issue of low birth rates - not only in Europe (which Buchanan is really up on as bringing about the death of European culture), and the same thing occurring here. He has a point. Now I may suffer a ding or two for expressing that opinion, but it is one that I believe in. I do not believe in the superiority of any race (as I believe he does), but that does not mean there aren't certain beliefs that he holds aren't worthy of condemnation. They are. I could hardly be called a Buchananite.

re: #2 Golem Akbar

Well, that seals it: Obama has to deal with the anti-Israel/Jew-blaming, Western civilization/democracy-bashing likes of Pat Buchanan. That stink will permeateidentify the democratic party.

Golem, it's not like you to be so careless;)

104 rawmuse  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 3:31:19pm

OK, this asshat Buchanan is officially nucking futs.
I'll file him over here, next to Cindy Sheehan.

105 bitterhop  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 4:14:42pm

I've always considered Buchanan a complete s...head. But isn't he a far right guy? The right can't just disavow all their crazies.

re: #105 bitterhop
Sure I can. He's a fuckhead and an idiot. He isn't on the right anymore. I don't know where he is but he isn't a conservative.

107 sakublock  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 4:43:23pm

108 jaxgtr  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 4:50:57pm

I still think it's funny that all those Jews in S. Florida voted for him and essential put GW over the top. Sweet.

109 George Bruce  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 7:03:55pm

Well, Pat rather likes fascists. Maybe in that stadium he thought he was in a Leni Riefenstahl movie.

110 Cimbrian  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 7:14:13pm

Pat Buchanan appeared to be offering his opinion on the oratorical qualities of the speech more than actually endorsing Obama's campaign or his political views. If he liked the speech, he should honestly say so. He was quick to emphasize that the didn't view it as a liberal speech and backed that up by quoting an explicitly nonpartisan part of it.

Buchanan supporting Hitler? Already thought the invective was getting overboard, but that is just plain ridiculous.

It took a while, but this fly just found his source of protein.

113 CapitalistPig  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 9:04:23pm

I cant believe I voted for this asshat many, many years ago when he ran for president. Proof that my vote has certainly evolved. Thanks, Pat...you just motivated me to put my money where my mouth is and send Maverick some cash.

114 farblonjet  Fri, Aug 29, 2008 10:48:48pm

he is a moron. but he sure can tie a lovely Windsor knot though.

115 RobCon  Sat, Aug 30, 2008 5:34:05am

I see why Pat is the token "conservative" on the shows.
The lib media consider him a real conservative which apparently is OK if you praise their candidiate unlike all those Neo-Cons (aka Jews), right Pat?
There is a trend today of isolationists and leftists joining together that we have not seen in the U.S. since the Fall of France in 1940 and this comes as Iran gets nukes.
The media today is absolutley loathsome.

116 RobCon  Sat, Aug 30, 2008 5:44:02am

Hey Pat! I thought you were against inter-racial sex.
You would never know it by your description of Barry's speech.
Get a room. Even Olby is content just to watch.

117 perkypauly  Sat, Aug 30, 2008 5:44:41am

William F. Buckley----" "I find it impossible to defend Pat Buchanan against the charge that what he did and said during the period under examination amounted to anti-Semitism, whatever it was that drove him to say and do it,"

118 Sharmuta  Sat, Aug 30, 2008 6:40:24am

Yes, buchanan- obama touched my guts alright.

119 Crepuscular Prick  Sat, Aug 30, 2008 7:48:37am

re: #24 Iron Fist

This doesn't really surprise me. Buchanan has more in common with the Left Hamas than he does the Right, these days.

120 NYC Cowgirl  Sat, Aug 30, 2008 8:27:37am

I'm not surprised. All the neo-Nazi/Jew Hater groups are also supporting Obama. He's just no longer hiding his Nazi affiiiation.

121 aaron's rantblog  Sat, Aug 30, 2008 10:17:37pm

When will Town Hall columnists show enough guts to demand that Buchanan be expelled from their ranks?

If Palin can stop the Bridge to Nowhere, certainly Town Hall columnists can stop Pat Bukkkanan.
