Daily Kos: Sarah Palin is a Secret Al Qaeda 'Terroist'

Mon, Sep 8, 2008 at 12:32:06 pm PDT

Oh noes! Palin is terroist! Daily Kos: Palin’s AIP group has terroists [sic] ties.

I just obtained this info. and need help getting it to go viral. AIP Is not a
harmless group. It seems that they are tied to terrorist. Please help this go viral. If this was a Dem. Candidate, this would be on the msm 24/7.
The scoop below the fold.

Wait a minute! I thought the official Daily Kos talking point was that Al Qaeda is no threat at all?

You have to wonder if there’s a point where these morons are embarrassed by the sheer idiocy they spout. So far there’s no sign of it.

(Hat tip: Jammie.)

UPDATE at 9/8/08 1:50:02 pm:

It gets even more stupid, if you can believe it. Here’s the web site our Kos Kid is hyperventilating over: Chechen Republic Online - All About Chechnya.

This is a social networking site started by a Chechen refugee living in the US.

Good grief.

When you outsource your Daily Kos posts to cheap offshore Chinese agitprop companies, this is the kind of low quality you can expect.

It's also funny that they think it's the Dems who are targeted by the MSM!

Since when are KOS'ers against terrorists?

28 WrathofG-d  Mon, Sep 8, 2008 12:38:15pm

Charles, you have to "connect the dots".

AQ is nothing more than a CIA clandestine organization created by GB's CIA to find off the Russians Then GW, became POTUS and brought this group under the control of the Republican party. Then years later GWB, the CIA, and the Republican party are using AQ (the military wing of the Republican Party) to force the U.S. citizenry to unknowingly go into nonsense wars so that Cheney, GWB, and thier Big-Oil buddies can get rich. Thus, AQ is nothing more than an extension of the Rebublican, Emperialist, Genocidal Party.

Accordingly, anyone who is a Republican is associtaed with AQ.

DUH!

Speaking of contortions, I just read that Plugs has been able to discern something above Barry's paygrade:

Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden has departed from the party line and said that as a Catholic, he believes life begins at conception.

In an interview on “Meet the Press” on Sunday, the Senator from Delaware said of abortion-rights advocates in his party: “They believe in their faith and they believe in human life, and they have differing views as to when life — I’m prepared as a matter of faith to accept that life begins at the moment of conception.” -NewsMax

I'm getting fairly convinced that these smears are emanating from the Obama campaign itself and then being posted on KOS and other lunatic Leftist sites.

51 loflyer  Mon, Sep 8, 2008 12:41:32pm

If Kos or DU could cite one credible source, that would help. Lately even the National Enquirer has reached greater journalistic stature than the NYT with expose of Senator Edwards long-going affair whilst his wife suffers terminal cancer.
/Pravda could learn a lot from the American MSM!

52 lawhawk  Mon, Sep 8, 2008 12:41:32pm

So, let's get this straight, Palin somehow has ties to AIP, which is somehow connected to terrorists in a roundabout manner, and that's reason for everyone to reject her.

But, and you knew there was a but coming, these same idiots have no problem with a self declared American terrorist whose fellow terrorists carried out multiple attacks, plotting attacks on the Pentagon, Fort Dix, and multiple bombings (that would be Bill Ayers and his terrorist scum wife Bernadine Dohrn) being close warm personal friends with Obama and helped to launch his political career.

They have no problem with another Weather Underground toadie being a major bundler/lawyer for the Obama campaign.

Right.

And yet these guys have all the clout in the Democrat party. That's quite telling.

53 pegcity  Mon, Sep 8, 2008 12:42:03pm

It seems that the way the Kos feverswamp works is that someone pops the most paranoid delusion s/he can think of, drools over it at length, and then--solely on the basis that this paranoid delusion has been raised there and drooled over at length--that is taken as a confirmation, and a platform which serves as the jumping-off place for the next over-the-top paranoid delusion, which then serves as confirmation/platform in its turn for the next, and so on.

Result? It's mock turtles all the way down.

When I see people here point out how a bunck of Koslims poo-poo such posts you are clearly not understanding the real reson why they do it.
I was with a group of moonbats before I'd ever heard the term and they were saying the usual Koslim type things. Once others came around that weren't known to be moonbats, they stopped. They do not want others to see their vile, unhinged hatred.
The people scolding for posting such lunacy do so only because everyone can see it! It's only ok to say in closed circles. Decency has nothing to do with it.

192 nikis-knight  Mon, Sep 8, 2008 1:06:53pm

From Jonah Goldberg

About this allegation that Palin was a member of the Alaska Independence Party. At first I thought it was a big deal or at least a potential big deal. But, upon inspection it seems much less serious. For starters, it seems she was never a member. She's been a registered Republican since 1982.

Okay, but lots of people are making a big deal about her address to the party convention. Okay, so I checked out the video. Eh.

I'd be curious what some Alaskans think about this, but my impression from my various interactions up there, is that the AIP has always been something of a quirky protest party akin to the Libertarian Party. Alaskans do have a real independence streak and, one might say, a chip on their shoulders on how they're treated and viewed by folks in the lower 48 (which is one reason they support pork barrel politics so much). I have no doubt it has its fair share of loons in it, but I also have no doubt it has plenty of serious folks as well (just like the LP). But this address strikes me as entirely underwhelming political boilerplate. First, she delivered it by videotape — often a sign of lack of political commitment somewhat akin to Republicans addressing the pro-life march by telephone. Second, she offers some (very brief) bridge-building words to the convention, and that's it.

Again, more shoes could drop. But, as of now, I think this is an example of the quirky and parochial nature of Alaskan politics not translating well — just as I suggested when they first announced the pick — rather than any kind of crackpotism on her part. I wonder, has Obama spoken to any Hawaiian "nationalist" groups?

193 karmic_inquisitor  Mon, Sep 8, 2008 1:07:03pm

Q: How many Obamatons doe it take to put out a yard sign?

A: 20.

1 to place the sign,
2 to file the Environmental Impact Report,
4 anarchists to "defend" the sign,
and the rest to blog about the momentous occaision.

Hitchens speaks.

I could well be wrong, but I think something similar is involved in the attempt to paint the Palin family as if it were Arkansas on ice or Tobacco Road with igloos and Inuit. Very well, she possibly has had her Troopergate and even trailer-park moments. But whom exactly did the Democrats drown in moist applause, for two nights running, in Denver? The most dysfunctional family ever to occupy not the vice-presidential mansion but the executive one. It’s hard to imagine that there will be any more unwanted pregnancies or shotgun weddings when or if the Palins move to the Naval Observatory on Massachusetts Avenue, whereas with the Clintons, the very thing that made all Bill’s friends turn white and pee green was that they made him the president, and he still wouldn’t stop. For me, it is astonishing that the Democrats have been babbling all week as if this point isn’t just waiting—indeed begging—to be made in riposte to their “opposition research.”

Obama is "pretty left-wing" and people are speechless.

And that's been out a while, and some people get it:

I hope McCain gets the presidency. Sure Obama wants to lower taxes for the lower and middle class's while taxing the wealthy. But McCain wants to lower taxes for all classes INCLUDING his energy policy which will relieve the suffering at the pumps for ALL Americans. Obama doesn't care if millions of lower class people suffer for paying more at the pumps. He just wants to run "clean" energy at the expense of suffering Americans.

McCain wants relief. Obama wants grief.

The idea that Obama and the democrats are going to cut taxes is a joke. The democrats are going to raise everyones taxes. THIS IS TOO FUNNY!

Here is the website that the Krazy Kos Kid says AIP linked to. Here is the Wikipedia entry for it:

Amina - Chechen Republic Online, popularly known as Amina.com, is a social networking website that includes information on the Chechen language and culture and photos of the Chechen wars. It was founded on March 13, 1997 by Albert Digaev, a Chechen refugee living in the United States, as a means of communication for the disparate global Chechen community.

At its inception, it was the first website about Chechnya on the Internet, and for a while the only one. Taking its name after a well-liked Chechen girl's name, the website initially provided information, links and images about and from Chechnya, its history, people, culture and the conflict. After numerous website layout updates, the site has expanded to include online discussion boards, chatroom, photo gallery, and private email service.[1] The website's popularity grew to such an extent that it was once closely monitored by the pro-Russian Chechen government.[2]

It's a friggin Social Networking site for Chechnians. What a bunch of assclowns.

The term Zionist has definately been turned into a "bad word" in some circles, and this is not by mistake. I however am a Zionist, and one of the old school. As far as the haters are concerned I am one of the worst kind. I am not a pre-1967 Zionist but a Greater Israel type. All of Mandate Palestine that was promised to the Jews should become a part of present day Israel: both sides of the Jordan.

But that being said, you are right, you hear that "insult" thrown around all the time at Leftist rallies, and Anti-Israel protests, etc.

What gets me the most are those that say that they are Jews but not Zionists. This can only be said by one that has not read the Torah, and has not paid attention to what Jews have been praying for for the last 2,000+ years.

She needs to stay in the 10 biggest battle ground states - Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania (which are the top 3 hunting states of the lower 48), Virginia, Iowa, New Mexico, Nevada, New Hampshire, Florida and Minnesota (to help out in the senate race, if necessary). Maybe even see if the Pacific Northwest is doable, since she's a westerner.

For the record, I don't believe the biblical story of creation is true literally. Or if it is, much has been lost in translation. The theory of evolution, on the other hand, is backed by much empirical evidence and "fits" very well indeed. I believe God exists in both to varying degrees. Be that as it may, views expounded with passion intense are often blind to the dangers of dogmatic absolutism; running from one prison to another, as it were; at once embracing the truth and killing it.

/think i'll switch to Crown Royal for the evening ;] DEAL WITH IT!

325 mjbrutus  Mon, Sep 8, 2008 3:11:51pm

In my opinion, we ain't seen nothin' yet. Remember, in 2000 and 2004, the Dems were leading in the polls right up to election day. They were flush with confidence and believe they lost only because of fraud, etc. Yeah, I know, as silly as it sounds, they really *believe* that. Despite being confident with a lead in the polls &c, it's easy to remember just how nasty they were. It's easy to remember the ridiculous smears against Bush not just by the bloggers, but also the kooks running and running their campaigns. They started a whole 9/11 troofer movement that is still alive and well!

I remind you of this, just to foreshadow what will be coming. This year, the leftists feel completely entitled to the WH. Most of them have felt that they already won it with their candidate has been strutting around giving pompous "citizen of the world" speeches in Berlin and in front of Greek temple podiums and creating faux Presidential seals. So just imagine the shit-storm that they'll whip up now that the big Zero is behind in the polls going down the stretch! We've only seen the tip of the iceberg as far as nasty, desperate, degenerate smears go. If anyone thinks they've seen the worst of this ugly lot when they thought they were ahead, just wait to see how low they'll sink when they know that they're behind.

Here's the difference: Intelligent Design (Particularly "Young Earth" ) supporters are going out of their way to make nice with Islamics. Leftists find in Radical Islam "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". That's a difference between willful stupidity and passive stupidity. Both are dangerous, one actively so.
