Why is Sen. Clinton scared of Gov. Palin?
She's scared of an Alpha female? Palin won't kowtow to her? Palin wouldn't put up with Klintoon's s#it? Palin will suck all of the oxygen out of the room and leave Hildabeast gagging? Two would enter, one would leave and the victor's initials wouldn't be HRC?
Do we really want a coward like HRC leading the country? What would HRC do if she was faced with a real threat?

Palin’s E-Mail Account Hacked, Published on Web Site
In the latest of a series of invasions into Sarah Palin’s personal life, hackers have broken into the Republican vice presidential candidate’s private e-mail account, and a widely read Web site has published screen grabs from it.
My observations:
1. Likely inside job. How do you "hack" Yahoo email or other commercial email?
2. Federal prison awaits some fine folks.
3. Yahoo is likely in deep doo doo also.
4. If this is tied to the ObamaTanic crew, he will sink faster than Kate Winslet.

Hacker who broke into Sarah Palin's Yahoo account tells all:
...Earlier it was just some prank to me, I really wanted to get something incriminating which I was sure there would be, just like all of you anon out there that you think there was some missed opportunity of glory, well there WAS NOTHING, I read everything, every little blackberry confirmation… all the pictures, and there was nothing, and it finally set in, THIS internet was serious business, yes I was behind a proxy, only one, if this shit ever got to the FBI I was fucked, I panicked, i still wanted the stuff out there but I didn’t know how to rapidshit all that stuff, so I posted the pass on /b/, and then promptly deleted everything, and unplugged my internet and just sat there in a comatose state

It wasn't immediately clear how hackers broke into Palin's Yahoo! account, but it would have been possible to trick the service into revealing her password knowing personal details about Palin that include her birthdate and ZIP code.
Right.....someone's gonna guess her "secret question" answer, or someonw at Yahoo's gonna release the password to some caller claiming to be "Sarah Palin of Alaska" ... like that name is just some unknown lady.
A hacker also might have sent a forged e-mail to her account tricking her into revealing her own password.
Oh, yeah, sure, right, really. And the Dan RatherGate documents are genuine because they haven't been proven not to be.

Paging buzzsawmonkey! Paging buzzsawmonkey!
I had a "D'oh!" moment earlier today. I suddenly remembered the PERFECT song to encapsulate the entire Sarah Palin phenomenon. All it needs is new lyrics! And you're just the man for the job.
The song in question used to be an American pop standard in the big band era, bad sadly most people under 70 probably don't remember it, unless they're students of musical history like me. Luckily, YouTube to the rescue !
Big Noise From Winnetka (rather tame version by Bob Crosby)
(As an aside: It's also famous for being the song with the greatest drum solo of all time.)
What I want you to do, of course, is rework the lyrics to be:
Big Noise From Wasilla
Here are the original lyrics to work with:
This is the story of a young girl who was the Einstein of the dance.
They called her Big Noise from Winnetka, against her no one stood a chance.
Big Noise blew in from Winnetka, stole each fellow's heart and then,
Big Noise blew in from Winnetka, Big Noise blew right out again.
Boys were sighing, their girlfriends crying, hearts were pounding when;
The Big Noise dances, hence romances, it's just astounding when;
Big Noise blew in from Winnetka, Big Noise blew right out again.
Stop! Look! Listen! Listen to the Big Noise.
Stop! Look! Listen! Listen to the Big Noise.
I am the one they call the Big Noise. I got to dance my way to fame.
I just blew in from Winnetka, that town will never be the same.
Now I had my fun, and yet there's just one who's got me from the start.
I'd love to conga a little bit longer but it keeps us apart.
Exit Big Noise from Winnetka, enter Big Noise in his heart.
(...etc.)

So now that the MSM, Obama's campaign team, the DU and Kos can't come up with any substantial evidence of ethics violations by Palin, now they are resorting to hacking, a criminal act. Of course the AP is portraying Palin as the criminal for using a public email account for government business. According to the AP, the real criminal did Europe and the free world a service by revealing the transparency of Palin's government service. The AP and the media will refuse to admit that anyone with half a brain in government service understands that our emails are "open season", and available for access under the "open records act". I never say anything I would not like published in the AJC on my county email. The fact that Palin used public email speaks volumes about her ethics and transparency of government.

Well, except perhaps for this:
People are tired of hearing the same-old same-old from the people who have been around Washington for gajillions of years.
She is such a novelty in that she is not part of the "DC establishment", and she speaks so well and clearly in everyday language, I would be willing to bet there are lots of people tuning in to listen to her that might not otherwise be listening to the candidates. re: #207 buzzsawmonkey
I thought that drum solos began with Gene Krupa's big solo for "Drumboogie" in "Ball of Fire."
Ball of Fire was from 1941. Bob Haggart and Ray Bauduc recorded "Big Noise from Winnetka in 1938, beating Krupa by 3 years:
Big Noise From Winnetka is a jazz composition written by composer and bass player Bob Haggart. It was first recorded in 1938 and featured Bob Haggart and drummer Ray Bauduc, both members of the swing/dixieland orchestra Bob Crosby and the Bobcats. The recording is remarkable for its unusual duet feature: Haggart whistles the melody and plays the bass, while only Bauduc accompanies him on the drums. Halfway through the solo, Ray Bauduc starts drumming on the strings of the double bass, while Haggart continues to play with his left hand, creating a very percussive bass solo. After the success of the initial recording, they performed this song frequently for the rest of their careers. They performed the song in several films, most notably in 1941's "Let's Make Music" and 1943's "Reveille with Beverly". The original recording was featured on the soundtrack of Raging Bull.
Krupa was among the earliest drum soloists, but these two guys kind of pioneered the genre.

I asked her how about her assets.
She patiently explained that she had no assets at all but was paying her credit card debt every month and that was just as good as an asset.
I explained about debts and asstes and begged her not to buy but to save everything until she had at least 30% of the purchase price in cash. I think (hope) she listened.

Well we all know what the real truth behind this is. Push minorities into houses they can't afford, and then the majority white/asian population that actually EARNS money has to bail them out. A back door into another income redistribution scheme. That Bush ever went along with is a facet of his idiotic "compassionate consevative" meme.

I am convinced that the Democrats wish to destroy the USA, and the way events are unfolding they may yet succeed, even if McCain wins.

More astoundingly: Wisconsin and Oregon are now within the margin of error. And they should be SOLID Obama.
Basically, the race is completely up in the air, and anything could happen at this point. McCain has about 220 electoral votes locked up, Obama has about 200 locked up -- and ALL the remaining states are with 3 percentage points either way.
Polls are notoriously unreliable when races are close. This one will go down to the wire.

McCain voted for the Financial reform bill while Obama and Biden voted against it and defeated it. Americans are not as dumb as the elite Democrat MSM and DNC command believe. We are know the Democrats led the charge to make every American family eligible for a home loan, regardless of poor financial status. As we watch the market dive most Americans know the Democrats are responsible for the residential collapse. Unless McCain attacks on this issue he will lose.
I am not calling the American public dumb, well not today I'm not, but I am calling them uninformed. We, that is the readers of LGF may know who created this mess but that does not extrapolate. Sheez. The problem with the economy is "greed on Wall Street"?!?!
Either she doesn't understand the real issues, or she's being told to to stick to populist demagoguery.
Wall Street bought all kinds of paper which included mortage bundles. The problem is that nearly everyone underestimated the risk because they didn't see the mortage collapse coming.
The Mortage collapse in a large part is due to legislation passed during the Clinton Administration which FORCED lenders to lend to subprime credit more agressively. Then the low interest rates in 2002 and viola! Instant default crisis.
Is her solution MORE regulation? Yes, and Sarbannes-Oxley has already done so much for us.
As a free market conservative I'm not inspired with her answers at all. Then again McCain doesn't do much for me on that front either.
The economy is where these two could yet lose this election.

Yeah.
Try this google search.
Versus what, a folder sitting in a doctor's office? That's hardly secure either. It's a reality of the times. Ain't going back. The benefits far outweigh the risks to most patients as well and in fact, studies including our own in the trenches polling show a desire to have health records available electronically, and now. The majority of HIPAA violations and breeches of privacy have not originated from hacks into electronic records, but from more matter of fact methods.
Personally, I wouldn't care if my records became public knowledge, it's not an issue with me unless that information is used against me in some way. But I understand, respect, and comply with the laws regarding this sensitive issue.

Look at the RCP graph since the middle of June. Draw an imaginary trend line. On is up one is down.
Just imagine if the media was even reasonably balanced. I prefer to stay positive and I realize who the better candidate is. Obama's already showing signs of desperation with seven weeks to go.

She is strongest when she talks about energy and reform. In her speeches she needs to start hitting on those two issues, and with specifics.
She need to be hammering the Dems for their sham energy bill they just passed. With specifics.
"If this bill wasn't anything other than a political stunt by the Democrats, why did they bring it up in the middle of the night, and bypass the regular order of business, bypass the relevant Congressional committees, and rush it to the floor without hearings or the opportunity to amend? This do-nothing, drill nowhere Congress could and should have acted long ago to address this nation's critical need for energy. John McCain and I are running to get problems solved for the American people, while Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Reid are more interested in running for political cover."

I caught some of it myself, but when I went back and looked at the trends, I felt better. Not to mention the fact that McCain has put several deep blue states (WA, OR, NJ) and some light blue ones (WI, MI, PA) in serious jeopardy for Obama. Obama probably never planned on spending more than a couple hundred bucks in WA and OR, not to mention NJ! Wall Street bought all kinds of paper which included mortage bundles. The problem is that nearly everyone underestimated the risk because they didn't see the mortage collapse coming.
I don't get this.
Lehman was financing what, 600 billion with just 30 billion. That's not rocket science.
All those bundled mortgage things? Come on. When you apply for a mortgage, you declare your income. All that data gets entered somewhere. You can't tell me someone couldn't have analyzed a particular bundle for risk, based on differences of loan amount vs. annual income.
They should've seen this coming. Interest rates were at historic lows, builders were going crazy, and a bubble formed.

The economy is where these two could yet lose this election.
And what miracle answers do Obama and Biden have?
Zilch.
An existing (partially trumped up) financial crisis does not mean that one candidate or another suddenly has the advantage. As you point out, the mortgage crash is mostly due to PC rules laid down during the Clinton era -- especially a new law that allowed minorities with bad credit to sue for discrimination if they are turned down for house loans. Banks figured it was simpler to just give them the loans than waste money defending frivolous lawsuits by the thousands. The banks' mistake was to assume that even if those with bad credit and no income defaulted on the loan, the collateral (ie. the house) would be worth more than the loan anyway, so they'd win either way.
When house values started dropping, and balloon payments suddenly started coming due five years later (coincidentally during the Bush administration, though he had nothing to do with it) -- disaster resulted.
It is only the MSM trying to whip up a panic-induced recession that could give an edge to Obama - -not the fact that one side or the other has better answers to the crisis.

If Palin is a plus and helps McCain win the White House, she was necessary.
But honest Republicans have to admit, as Krauthammer, Brooks, others, have admitted, that she should never have been picked if qualification is a criteria.
But although some on our side have the courage to make that admission, the Democrats and the media dare not admit that their top of the ticket is just as unqualified as Palin and he is running for President.
In a match of
An unqualified socialist radical running with a qualified wrong headed jerk
versus
A highly qualified war hero running with a charming unqualified person with potential
It is no contest.

Looks like science has a second enemy, attacking from the other wing:
"Biology is a socially constructed concept too - dated. It categorizes and defines ‘organisms’ a certain way - not wholistically - and not the only way possible, I might add."
"I am no science major, but I know Einstein’s theories and physics has already proven most of the fundamentals of biology to be faulty."
"It is not logical thought. What we were taught as logic is simply what we were taught and thus not logical, but you have to question it before you can see it as ‘not logical’. My views can be perceived as not ‘logical’ because they are deviating from taught beliefs. Logic doesn’t mean it makes sense. It means it follows a certain line of thinking. It is the certain line of thinking women have attempted to confront."
The assault on science, logic, and fact as "patriarchal" and "racist" continues to fester and slowly grow in damp corners of academe.
I recommend we stamp it out now, before it grows. These kind of false, but comforting [for losers] belief systems have a noxious way of growing into politically correct straight jackets -- I mean, who would ever think that a blatantly false system like multiculturalism would catch on?
Kill it before it grows.
