Islamist 'Students' Mock Holocaust on Jerusalem Day

World | Fri, Sep 26, 2008 at 11:34:47 am PDT

While Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was meeting with journalists, Code Pink, and loony leftist religious leaders in New York, back home in Iran they released with great fanfare a depraved new book full of cartoons mocking the Holocaust.

TEHRAN (AFP) — Iranians chanted “Death to Israel” on Friday as Islamist students unveiled a book mocking the Holocaust in an Al-Quds (Jerusalem) Day annual parade to show solidarity with the Palestinians.

The book “Holocaust,” published by members of Iran’s Islamist Basij militia, features dozens of cartoons and sarcastic commentary. Education Minister Alireza Ali-Ahmadi attended the official launch of the book in Tehran’s Palestine Square.

The cover shows a Jew with a crooked nose and dressed in traditional garb drawing outlines of dead bodies on the ground.

Inside, bearded Jews are shown leaving and re-entering a gas chamber with a counter that reads the number 5,999,999.

Another illustration depicts Jewish prisoners entering a furnace in a Nazi extermination camp and leaving from the other side as gun-wielding “terrorists.”

Yet another shows a patient draped in an Israeli flag and on life support breathing Zyklon-B, the poisonous gas used in the extermination chambers.

UPDATE at 9/26/08 11:45:58 am:

Al-Quds Day in Pakistan.

It should be noticed that the AFP excuses and whitewashes this blatent Anti-Semitism by calling it "supporting Palestinians".

If that were so....how would the mocking of the death of 6 Million Jews (before there was even a Jewish state) and using blatant Anti-Semitic canards and imagery to do so be considered "Supporting Palestinians"?

In an address to the UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, he said "the Zionist regime is on a definite slope to collapse and there is no way for it to get out of the cesspool created by itself and its supporters."

Quds Day was started by the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, founder of the Islamic republic, who called on the world's Muslims to show solidarity with Palestinians on the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan.

The demonstration was held under an official slogan: "The Islamic world will not recognise the fake Zionist regime under any circumstances and believes that this cancerous tumour will one day be wiped off the face of the earth."

Can we please accept that they mean what they say?!

I heard from another Lizard the other day - participation here helped her develop the factual knowledge and confidence to stand up and challenge a college prof who had the class engaged in some loony project.

That may not have happened without the knowledge gained here and the support she finds here from other readers.

So she reached a group of people who may have continued to be blind, and maybe at least a few of them will have their eyes opened. And they will reach others.

This is no small matter, even though each individual step is a small one.

This is not a culture that is enslaved by a few radical mullahs, or is on the brink of overthrowing their Islamofascist theocracy if they just had a little help from America. They are animals and their threats deserve to be answered with annihilation, and no amount of Western commercialism and English media and "university degrees" can negate that fact.

I saw Condi on TV last night. She was falling all over herself to say that the culture and people of Iran are a great bunch. She repeated it at every chance.

Your festering cesspools in the Middle East would probably be 10 times deeper in fecal matter. Top on that, every separate faction of Islam trying to be the head of the Caliphate, meaning absolutely no solidarity and constant war there as well.

Oh, and forget any possible technology existing there, and your life expectancies cut at LEAST in half (not including those who chose to martyr themselves).

Meanwhile, someone better be asking questions about this (full series here): How exactly is Abid Katib/Getty Images getting photos of Islamic Jihad showing off their rocket firing prowess in Gaza? We're told that these are practice launches. Right.

Oh, and where are these "practice launches" taking place? It's taking place in the former Israeli settlement of Atsmona.

The same settlement from which Israel forcibly removed Israelis as part of the 2005 disengagement. Arabs and Islamists around the world rail against Israeli settlements again in the UN. They're engaged in worldwide rallies against Israel.

The terrorists use the settlements as terror training camps. The media gets funneled these stories from stringers and reporters who are sympathetic to the cause, and no one bothers to note the irony that the terrorists are busy firing rockets (and that occasionally Israel will fire back at the area where rockets are fired from).

Just for reference the Hebrew term for the Jewish Temple is Bait Hamikdash (literally "The House of the Holy").

So Jerusalem is referred to by the Arabs as Bayt al-Maqdis or Bayt al-Muqaddas, which was shortened to Al Quds.

Al Qods (or Quds) is simply an attempt to appropriate territory by corrupting a name.

Russia and the United States have reached a deal to seek a new U.N. resolution on Iran, Britain's U.N. ambassador said Friday.
Ambassador John Sawers spoke before heading into a high-level meeting at U.N. headquarters of nations concerned with events in Pakistan.

After the meeting, British Foreign Secretary David Miliband said the resolution will be introduced in the Security Council on Friday.

Western diplomats said the resolution would reaffirm three rounds of earlier U.N. sanctions to make clear that the process has not been dropped and that the council wants Iran to comply.

In some areas. The UN has the pissant iranian puke come 'talk' about the 'need' for the US and Israel to accomodate his fellow psychopaths with more weapons during the Israeli celebration which the f@#$%% islamist pigs want the world to forget. Half the world looks at this and says "they're only mad at the US and Israel, not at us" and yet, there are more and more small time terror attacks all of the time.

I hope the veneer of civility that the US has adopted is shattered prior to us all dying for the islamist cause.

Early this morning (in the AM -- before I turned off CNN), CNN decided to go "behind the scenes" -- at their so-called "news desk" -- a group of CNN bimbos were "discussing" an interview made by Sarah Palin...these gals were trying to figure out some remarks made by Palin and how they were going to "spin" it -- that is, twist what Palin had said in the most unfavorable way imaginable -- and they were mulling it over amongst themselves...I imagine similar situations occur whenever the subject of Israel arises -- that is, they'll call a huddle and decide how to "spin it" -- that is, make it as nasty and disgusting as possible without becoming too blatantly or overtly racist...

re: #190 buzzsawmonkey

Note how many of the images are based on Western European stories: Pinocchio, the Little Match Girl, and, of course, the whole Holocaust/Nazi imagery (not to mention the allusion in one cartoon to French Holocaust-denier Faurisson, who is surely not very well known in the Ummah). These are made to appeal to Western European sensibilities and knowledge more than to those of Muslims--particularly as there is much sympathy and affection for the Nazis and their death camps in Muslim lands. It is in the West, not in the Ummah, that Nazis and the Holocaust are considered bad.

While these cartoons may perhaps speak to some Muslims, they are transparently aimed at fomenting antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment in the West above all.

And it's our job to ensure they make no headway. Never again (though I'm not Jewish), means not letting Iran run this crud past us.

209 zombie  Fri, Sep 26, 2008 12:16:50pm

Grrrrr!

The New York Times just published an op-ed by a kindergarten teacher who congratulates herself for being a brilliant multiculturalist in the classroom. The crux of the op-ed is this anecdote:

I was moving around the classroom checking students’ writing when a question popped up out of nowhere. One of my American students, David, called out, “Ms. Shunnarah, can an elephant be a god?”

...I remembered from my studies of Hinduism in college that there is a religious entity known as Ganesh, who takes the form of an elephant....

This information about Ganesh came to me quickly and I am glad that it did, because I could have carelessly dismissed David’s comment as silly. Instead, I told him yes, and described Ganesh and his place in the Hindu religion. After I said this, I noticed that one of my students from India, Abhra, pulled out his own drawings of Ganesh from his backpack. He had been discussing his beliefs with David, when David had called out the question. This small bit of knowledge I had retained turned out to be important. After my response, Abhra smiled; his religious beliefs and identity were acknowledged. ...

Later Abhra’s mother came to me and said that I had made her son happy because I knew about Ganesh....What if I had responded from my own personal biases and religious perspective? What would have been the outcome for my student Abhra? Would he have been ashamed? Would he have kept his pictures hidden, damaging his sense of self?

Needless to say, most of the comments lavish praise on the teacher for being so sensitive.

I was so incensed that I took the rare step of actually submitting a comment of my own. Since I doubt it will ever see the light of day (NYTimes comments are moderated), I'll post it here:

------------

Why were you so cruel to your student? You congratulate yourself for improving the self-esteem of the Hindu student, but when you told the "American" (presumably Christian) student that elephants could be gods, did it ever even occur to you that you were destroying HIS self-esteem, and turning HIS world upside-down? No, apparently this did not occur to you, because attending to the feelings of and supporting the worldview of the non-Western students is paramount in your philosophy. It's more important to crush the beliefs of the Americans than it is to be even-handed. For all you know, you just ruined that little Christian boy's life: now he doubts his parents, because he no longer can trust what they say is true. If they lied about God, then they can lie about anything.

It would have been equally valid, and equally one-sided, to tell the Hindu boy that No, elephants cannot be Gods. But you didn't do that. Yet you did the mirror image, which is just as bad. And by taking sides, you gave your imprimatur to Hinduism, while rejecting monotheism. In your quest to be multicultural, you ended up taking sides anyway. It sickens me to see your overwhelming concern for the feelings of one of your students (the Hindu), and a complete unconscious lack of concern for the other student, who is just roadkill on your superhighway to a multicultural utopia.

As one of the other commenters here noted, saying to a Muslim that there are other gods besides Allah would rank as a capital offense in some countries; and informing the monotheist children -- Christian, Muslim, Jewish -- that it is a FACT that elephants can be gods, is likely to be extremely upsetting to them. Despite your fantasies, there is no middle ground on this issue, and you blundered spectacularly by supporting one religious viewpoint over the others. Stop patting yourself on the back for one moment to see the damage you've done, and probably do every single day of the year when you force all of your students through the multicultural sieve.

It seems to me that, given the circumstances, the best course of action for Israel is to launch a campaign of conquest. Conquer the whole of the Middle east, then secure her boarders and subdue her enemies, then set up the surrounding countries as satellite buffer states. Radical idea? Well, how does living in a tiny space you could throw a hand grenade across while surrounded by deadly enemies intent on your destruction and murder sound? Reasonable? Is it reasonable to let these enemies have a piece of your holiest city for their own? How about letting them build mosques on your holy sites? Radical? Who has a better idea?

Who said "Kill em all, and let G-D sort them out" or is that a play on the same?

I would bet it is the same ...

According to the Cistercian writer Caesar of Heisterbach, one of the leaders of the Crusader army, the Papal legate Arnaud-Amaury, when asked by a Crusader how to distinguish the Cathars from the Catholics, answered: "Caedite eos! Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius" – "Kill them [all]! Surely the Lord discerns which [ones] are his". On the other hand, the legate's own statement, in a letter to the Pope in August 1209 (col.139), states:
while discussions were still going on with the barons about the release of those in the city who were deemed to be Catholics, the servants and other persons of low degree and unarmed attacked the city without waiting for orders froom their leaders. To our amazement, crying "to arms, to arms!", within the space of two or three hours they crossed the dotches and the walls and Béziers was taken. Our men spared no one, irrespective of rank, sex or age, and put to the sword almost 20,000 people. After this great slaughter the whole city was despoiled and burnt, as Divine vengeance miraculously...

And yet, according to the moonbats, we're barbarians.

That would be because the moonbats are completely ignorant of anything that occurs in the real world, pretty much by definition.

The word "mishpocha" means "family" in both Hebrew and Yiddish. "The whole family" in Yiddish is the "ganze mishpocha," as in, "we had the ganze mishpocha to visit for the holidays."

In other words, lame interplay between the name of Ganesh and Yiddish term for "whole." Having offended the Elephant God, of course, I now fully expect to either be sat on, or crushed beneath many sacks of peanuts.

Yep - but I think it goes even deeper: they only need to get some coded words in about Israel and the RoP, thats all.
They're doing very well already: the BBC isn't reporting on muslim teorrorist attacks any longer - its bomb attacks, or 'some insurgents' or similar anodyne stuff.
No need to get exited ...

Of course, with affirmative action, the number of muslim reporters and journalists is probably greater than the percentage of muslims in the population. You've all noticed how successful the RoPers are at screaming 'racist' when someone attacks their religion.

Funny how attacking Jews and/or Israel isn't racist, or anti-semitic ...

I don't know of any out here in real life that are. I too wonder where these folks are. My guess is that the majority of them were people who invested in houses and condos in the California and Florida markets expecting these prices to go up rapidly. Thus, they didn't actually live in the units, but they expected to make a quick profit by selling them quickly. Basically a large game of hot potato, and they got caught with the potato when the music stopped.

Now, the ones in the Midwest (MI, OH, etc) are due mostly to job losses rather than speculation. I find it very interesting that there are two entirely differing reasons for house foreclosure. I don't mind aiding the job loss folks, but the speculators who wanted a quick buck should just plain lose. They knew the game and they lost.

And the Dow is on track to have, um, a moderately good day.

I *definitely* didn't expect that when I went to bed last night.

Neither did I, but then, I expected a bit more clarity on the bailout and none has come forth today. So the markets will react to a deal and they will react if a deal drags out, then will react again once they digest the deal. You need to be fast on your feet in this market for the next few weeks.

re: #57 Kragar (Proud to be Kafir)

thinking of a few keys labeled Gaza, West Bank, Al Aqsa with the caption:

Weez in ur homez, steelin ur landz LOL

Pretty sure that would cause some riots.

Yeah, its bullshit, but it would drive them nuts.

Heh. Something like that, while hilarious, really wouldn't be distinguishable from the kind of vile propaganda that the Arabs themselves produce.

The idea typically isn't to villify your own side. A better idea for political cartoons would be to draw attention to the fact that it was now very wealthy Arab families that sold that land to Jews.

To draw attention to the hypocracy of the rhetoric of Muslim world's leadership. How extravagently wealthy they are, and how little they give in aid. Worth pointing out that Saudi Arabia and UAE have better diplomatic and economic relationships to the USA and UK than they do with other Arab and Muslim countries.

Also, not to mention for South Asian, African and Persian consumption, highlighting the cultural colonialism aspects of Islam. Insinuating that it isn't even a part of Islam at all would probably be a better idea. I mean, Iran is shooting fish in a barrel really. Aren't like 70+ of the 86 Mullahs that run the country Arabs? They don't seem to keen on letting Persians running their own country.

Who rules Iran? Are they the slaves of Allah, or the slaves of Arabs?

413 Wm T Sherman  Fri, Sep 26, 2008 12:54:30pm

Whenever you see this sort of crapola out of Iran, keep in mind that it is stage-managed and performed by a thin brown line of regime hacks.

What the general population in Iran thinks and wants has little or nothing to do with this. The government is robbing them blind and running the country into the ground. There is widespread, grinding poverty.

Why do these corrupt, theocratic despots do these productions? Many obvious reasons, but one reason that should not be forgotten is that it serves to drive a wedge between the outside world and the general public of Iran. It serves the interests of the regime if we lump the entire population of Iran together and assume that they are all on-board with this.

The government of Iran is weaker than it appears. That's why they need the shows.

re: #311 Buck

Can you explain why you are still using IE 6.0?
I am just curious.

Ah yes, good question.
I have tried netscape, firefox and I.E. 7.0

Wasn't thrilled about tabs and also i.e. 7 uses a multiple key combo to allow popups on a case by case basis. (a real problem for me as my banking site uses popups for check viewing and it just got to be more aggro than it was worth), Don't like some of the stuff/features they stuck in and the reduced page footprint. I'm interested in google's chrome but only after it's out of beta. Installing/uninstalling software can be an adventure that I don't have the time or interest anymore to spend on doing. I.E. works good enough, no surprises. I got a fast dsl line that's on all the time so I don't have any complaints.
Back when I was younger (all of 5-10 yrs ago) I was always changing stuff and installing programs, uninstalling stuff, trouble shooting computer hangups because of a faulty install etc. That was when I was a compter fanatic/geek. I knew all the ins and outs of the O.S. I Programmed in Assembly, Quckbasic, C, Pascal, Visual Basic and Visual .Net. I was a computer hobbyist. Then one day -- Poof. All my enthusiasm was used up. Now I use the Computer like,,,, a utensil. I don't want to have to think about the innards, I just want it to work. Sorry for the long winded explanation.

As ex-smoker I can relate. Think of how the alcoholics do it; one day at a time. Tell yourself you won't smoke TODAY. Not tomorrow or the next day but just TODAY. I smoked for 35 years and had to quit. Went cold turkey. Funny thing is there was awhile there when I didn't think of smoking but lately I've been thinking about it more ofte.

YOU WILL ALWAYS WANT TO SMOKE. Realize this. You aren't a non-smoker, you're a smoker who doesn't smoke. There's a difference. There is no easy way. (now if I could only lose the weight I put on after I quit!)
