usually such children choirs are led by an adult, especially when hand motions are involved. So somewhere off camera is an adult, leading this.

we're in serious trouble. I know, from working in the schools here in California, that children are being told that Obama is "the One".
And, have you been reading the latest columns about "what happens if He loses"? Are we supposed to just give up because some racists out there are claiming there'll be a revolution if BHO loses?
This video is sickening.

Or is that the double speak of which they speak? i.e. use the words freedom when you actually mean 'freedom from having to make those choices on how to live your life?'
Man -- I am getting SOOOOO worried about our country that this kind of shit can go on and NO ONE in the MSM will bat an eye at it.

Children are not political propaganda tools. It's one thing to stick them in a t-shirt and take them to a rally, but this.... This is brainwashing.
And they would claim that sending them to church every Sunday or to synagogue every Shabbat against their will is also brainwashing.
Let's be truthful: we do choose what our children will believe. We view what our political opposites do as horrid indoctrination. But while their indoctrination causes their children to believe in fairies, ours prepares our children to deal with the real world and its consequences.

Make your lungs hold breath inside!
Lovers break caresses for me
Love enhanced when I've gone by.
You'll feel me coming,
A new vibration
From afar you'll see me
I'm a sensation, I'm a sensation.
They worship me and all I touch
Hazy eyed they catch my glance,
Pleasant shudders shake their senses
My warm momentum throws their stance.
You'll feel me coming
A new vibration
From afar you'll see me
I'm a sensation, I'm a sensation.
Soon you'll see me, can't you feel me
I'm coming …
Send your troubles dancing I know the answer
I'm coming … I'm coming …
I'm a sensation.
I leave a trail of rooted people
Mesmerized by just the sight,
The few I touched now are disciples
Love as One I Am the Light …

I think I know why there is liberal indoctrination of the youth. It is because if the students were taught to think critically and come to their own conclusions, there would be a lot fewer liberals. So, the libs have to resort to brainwashing instead.

Good evening, and it's time for me to vent.
I am starting to suspect this economic crisis, regardless of whether it is all the horrific the media makes it out to be, may give Obama that boost to help him edge out McCain. CNN International just now pointing out conservatives criticizing Palin.
That's exactly what's going on. If this were a depression threat crisis, Congress wouldn't have gone on vacation for two days. Nor would the stock market have hit an upswing today compared to yesterday. Obama is having a field day here in Ohio with his ads on the economy. And I'm about sick of the Republican pundits who are blaming both sides equally. This is absolutely the result of Democrats and their minority pandering.

Let's be truthful: we do choose what our children will believe. We view what our political opposites do as horrid indoctrination. But while their indoctrination causes their children to believe in fairies, ours prepares our children to deal with the real world and its consequences.
True- they have a right to teach their children what they want. And for the sake of these children's future, it is incumbent upon us to teach them the value of the real world. We must defeat 0bama if these children are ever going to stand a chance. ;p

Tommy: Welcome to the Camp,
I guess you all know why we're here.
My name is Tommy
And I became aware this year
If you want to follow me,
You've got to play pinball.
And put in your earplugs
Put on your eyeshades
You know where to put the caulk
Hey you getting drunk, so sorry!
I've got you sussed.
Hey you smoking Mother Nature!
This is a bust!
Hey hung up old Mr. Normal,
Don't try to gain my trust!
'Cause you ain't gonna follow me any of those ways
Although you think you must
Guests:
We're not gonna take it

We're not gonna take it
We're not gonna take it
We're not gonna take it
Never did and never will
We're not gonna take it
Gonna break it, gonna shake it,
let's forget it better still
Tommy: Now you can't hear me,
your ears are truly sealed.
You can't speak either,
your mouth is filled.
You can't see nothing,
and pinball completes the scene.
Here comes Uncle Ernie to guide you to
Your very own machine.
Guests:
We're not gonna take it
We're not gonna take it
We're not gonna take it
We're not gonna take it
We're not gonna take it
Never did and never will
Don't want no religion
And as far as we can tell
We ain't gonna take you
Never did and never will
We're not gonna take you
We forsake you
Gonna rape you
Let's forget you better still.
Tommy:
See me.
Feel me.
Touch me.
Heal me.
Listening to you,
I get the music.
Gazing at you,
I get the heat.
Following you,
I climb the mountains.
I get excitement at your feet.
Right behind you,
I see the millions.
On you,
I see the glory.
From you,
I get opinions.
From you,
I get the story.

The Campaign needs to pull women back in the fold, singing kids led by little white girl attempts to do this. Or polls show urban moms find her an attractive figure and make them think of their own children. This is reinforced by the strategic placement of non threatening black children into the group, where they stand out but are all singing her tune.

My comments from an earlier posting of this vid (with slight updates)...
A couple of observations. First the equipment was high end and the location looks pretty pricey too. Given Venice CA - I'm guessing the "freind's house" was connected to the entertainment industry somehow.
Second, don't assume the parents or kids all agree to this drivel. Some of them may just think its "really neat" their kids were asked to be in the video.
When I was in high school our band director was called in the middle of the night by the Superintendant who was informed that the band was needed for a Mondale appearance at a local political rally. We went and dutifly played "Happy days are here again" and a couple of other crowd rousing songs. My director was a staunch Republican and so were many of the kids families. You should have seen the look on his face when a volunteer pinned a Mondale/Ferraro button on his jacket.
Having said that this does remind me of a granola twist on the creepy Hamas kindergaten videos. Lots of aged hippies and their offspring.

I think a lot of liberals have a simple view of life. They think by evoking emotions and wishing for things they will happen. They don't realize the importance of ideas, so they short circuit the process and go right to some dream they have.
I think they believe Obama is for freedom, but the reality is quite the reverse. This is what happens when people are driven by emotions.
Well, you can dream all you want, but it's not going to build a sky scraper or cure a disease. Dreams are all good to inspire and push you along, but you have to actually discover how things work before you can change things for the better. That takes enormous serious effort usually over years and decades, depending upon the size of the challenge.
I know that this isn't true of all liberals. Some modern liberals are just corrupt nihilists.

No beating was required.
They simply asked if the Obama kids wanted to trade their old, ugly, wrinkled twenty dollar bills for some twice as many shiny, new, pretty pennies. Given the economic understanding of an average Obama supporter, even their parents were telling them, "Take it! That's two for one!"
Now, having realized their error, they've begged the McCain Kids to sit down with them, without preconditions.

Thank you. The kids in Barry's camp have already have a logo (on the wall in back of them; remember, the swastika was a pretty benign symbol when Hitler adopted it) and uniforms (T-shirts for now, what later?). And Barry has announced his intention to attack a current ally (Pakistan) once he's in office.
They'll soon be reporting their parents to the sheriffs in Missouri.
An old playbook, but a change for America.

I think the Lyrics are translated from the german. Here is the original:
Die Fahne hoch! Die Reihen fest geschlossen!
S. A. marschiert mit mutig-festem Schritt.

I've worked with children's choirs--mostly African children. Never had to ask them to smile--they couldn't help it. These children have no joy inside them. They are trying too fearfully to please the overly enthusiastic director and are under pressure to perform well. And yes, this is "praise and worship" style music. And yes, are singing it to "One" who is unworthy of worship--not to mention votes! Between this and the other post about the MSM's outrageous biases and dirty tricks, considering the kind of ideologues O is hooked up with, and considering the voter fraud that's being promoted, by ACORN I think America is in serious trouble.

The media already got the only Republican candidate that was acceptable to them. There's no way the wobbly old guy can win.
Obama will be the next president. He will accelerate the takeover of the school system, media, judiciary, install his community groups all over the US, etc. It will be virtually impossible to roll back these changes, even if Obama is a one term-president - which is unlikely.
Republicans and "true conservatives" will continue to be clueless about what is going on. They will continue to call the socialists liberals and treat them civilly while getting nothing than pure hatred in return.
No one will come to the defense of true liberal principles: capitalism, rule of law, seperation of powers, individual freedom, personal responsibility.

Indoctrination is not the problem - I can think of several wonderful examples:
At home - I love you, you love me, we're a happy family...
At Church - Jesus loves the little children... (pick your variation according to the dictates of your own conscience and belief)
At school - I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America...
At sporting events - ...the land of the free and the home of the brave.
At clubs - On my honor I will do my duty to God and my country... help other people at all times... physically strong, mentally awake, morally straight...
The problem arises when that indoctrination is used to seed hatred of others or encourage false worship of fallible mortals as opposed to encouraging individuals to internalize the free exercise of duty, honor, love, citizenship, community, charity, liberty, work, service et al.
My wife and I still remember the Norman Rockwell paintings of American Freedoms hanging in the hallways of our schools.

On the Punahou campus, not far from the library, there is a piece of cement where a sidewalk was repaired where Obama and some gal whose last name is King both inscribed their names when the cement was wet. It reads "King Obama". I remember seeing that and thinking "King Obama, who is that, some African despot like Idi Amin?"
I didn't know the guy by name when I was there, there were 435 people in my senior class alone but I remembered seeing him on campus.
Sure would be neat if you could get a picture of that.

re: #236 Peter Verkooijen
How far away are we from the Skousen's disclosure?
[From "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen]
1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

Sorry for the length, but 45 Communist goals continued:
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.
45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

Here she is...I posted this on another thread.
Kathy Sawada. From Confederate Yankee,
While described as a grassroots effort, Kathy Sawada, who posted the video and can been seen directing the children in the video, is a bit more than just an enthusiastic music teacher you might find in your average public school.
Sawada is a teacher at an elite and expensive Colburn School of Performing Arts in Los Angeles as part of the Piano faculty. Colburn just built a $120 million 12-story high-rise addition for their musicians.
Does a concert-quality musician in an elite school in the middle of the most ego-centric city in the United States count as a "grassroots" effort?
And,
Here's a partial list of those who helped produce this "grassroots" effort:
*Jeff Zucker — American television executive, and President & CEO of NBC Universal.
*Post-producer (former choreographer?) Holly Shiffer.
*Motion picture camera operator/steadicam specialist Peter Rosenfeld (appropriately enough, worked in "Yes Man," a movie about " a guy challenges himself to say 'yes' to everything for an entire year."
*Darin Moran, another motion picture industry professional, who just finished filming — how appropriate — Land of the Lost.
*Andy Blumenthal, Hollywood film editor.
Grassroots indeed. This is from the Obamaton top.

Nothing that liberals do, no matter how braindead or evil, shocks anymore.
Germans aren't the only group of people that can easily be manipulated into following pure evil. It can certainly happen in the USA also, and mindless liberal sheep are proof of that. No wonder liberals love and defend terrorists! They brainwash their children in similar ways.

* Jeff Zucker — American television executive, and President & CEO of NBC Universal.
* Post-producer (former choreographer?) Holly Shiffer.
* Motion picture camera operator/steadicam specialist Peter Rosenfeld (appropriately enough, worked in "Yes Man," a movie about " a guy challenges himself to say 'yes' to everything for an entire year."
* Darin Moran, another motion picture industry professional, who just finished filming — how appropriate — Land of the Lost.
* Andy Blumenthal, Hollywood film editor.
Grassroots all the way, baby

The video is very similar to the children who are indoctrinated in Maddrassas.
The Division of Youth and Family Services should be made aware that these children are being abused. Brainwashing of children is a form of abuse. As for the parents of these children, their participation in this propoganda is inexcusable.
On the other hand, if such group think is to be the norm, many of those who believe in this rubbish will be soon ready to their new overlords because in an Obamanation, this type of conduct will very much resemble a Sharia State.

Current legislation
Because 527 organizations do not make expenditures to directly advocate the election or defeat of any candidate for federal elective office, they avoid regulation by the Federal Election Commission. The line between issue advocacy and candidate advocacy is the source of heated debate and litigation.
Many 527s are run by interest groups and used to raise money to spend on issue advocacy and voter mobilization outside of the restrictions on PACs.
Examples of 527s include Americans for Dr. Rice, Americans for Honesty on Issues, Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, Texans for Truth, The Media Fund, America Coming Together, the Progress for America Voter Fund, United American Technologies, American Right To Life Action and the November Fund. MoveOn.org was previously a 527, until they decided to shut down their 527 group as a result of "new politics offered by Barack Obama".[1]

My two cents worth:
Yes, this video is sickening and it just boggles the mind what some people will do to exploit there children.
(Disclaimer: I don't neccessarily agree with the following thoughts and I certainly do not support any sort of racism or bigotry but...)
I truly believe that Obama will lose in a landslide. Wishful thinking on my part maybe but there are some underlying issues or rather non-issues that will make a lot of people vote against Obama. We won't hear too much about this in the MSM but I believe that a hell of a lot of people in the US and I'm not speaking about Conservative or Republicans still won't vote for Obama because:
1) He is black.
2) His name is Hussien and that brings back a lot of memories (albeit unwarranted) of 911 and a whole litany of other things.
3) He is the most liberal Senator in the Congress.
Lest not forget that if John Kerry couldn't get elected and the MSM was most definitely in the tank for him how on earth could Obama win this election. The only smart thing Obama is doing is he's not responding to any charges or even talking about them. Whereas Kerry would whine and try to explain any charge against him e.g. Swiftboat etc. and the MSM would report on his whines and countercharges which would in turn draw attention to them. Obama has decided not to even go there...pretty sneaky, right?
I do not believe the pollls. As Rush said, if Obama is not up by 10 points before the election he is toast.
Anyway, we will know on Nov. 5 if my prediction is true but something in my gut tells me that Obama just isn't going to be President.

here's the deal...
22 children, ages 5-12, gathered to sing original songs in the belief that their singing would lift up our communities for the coming election. Light, hope, courage and love shine through these nonvoting children who believe that their very best contribution to the Obama campaign is to sing.
Sing for Change was a confluence of hard work, good will, and shared vision. Inspired by ideas raised at a grassroots Obama fundraiser, a music teacher, Kathy Sawada, and the children composed and rehearsed the songs in less than two weeks. Several musicians heard of the effort and volunteered to accompany the children. Parents and older siblings designed and provided the T-Shirts and the banner. There's a first for everything, but rarely do so many firsts come together at once: for the children and their parents, this is their first performance, first video, first banner, and first involvement with grassroots work on a presidential campaign.
As Sunday approached, a neighbor volunteered a home. Production wizards got wind of the project and offered their help in recording it. The likes of Jeff Zucker, Holly Schiffer, Peter Rosenfeld, Darin Moran, Jean Martin, Andy Blumenthal, and Nick Phoenix rearranged schedules to participate. Holly Schiffer was able to get three High Definition cameras (Panasonic HVX250's), and an AVID editing facility. When Jeff Zucker went to pick up the camera package, Ted Schilowitz happened to be there and offered a RED camera set up on a Steadi Cam.
What we accomplished in a few hours on a Sunday afternoon embodies the nature of the Obama campaign: its grassroots inspiration, its inclusiveness, its community building. People pitched in quickly for a cause that resonated with them. There were not many conditions: "Think this is a good idea? Want to help? Great. Sunday at 12:00." At the heart of the project were 22 children and their music. The willingness of all involved to come together for them was a testament to our hope, unity, courage, joy and belief in the future represented by these children.
We are offering the video to everyone, the Obama campaign and all media with high hopes that we can all join together to Sing for Change.
Technical info: Running time = 3 minutes; Standard Definition and HD Broadcast quality
WE'RE GONNA CHANGE THE WORLD Music and lyrics by Lily Campbell, age 9
We're gonna spread happiness
We're gonna spread freedom
Obama's gonna change it
Obama's gonna lead 'em
We're gonna change it
And rearrange it
We're gonna change the world.
SING FOR CHANGE
Music and lyrics by Kathy Sawada
Now's the moment, lift each voice to sing
Sing with all your heart!
For our children, for our families,
Nations all joined as one.
Sing for joy and sing abundant peace,
Courage, justice, hope!
Sing together, hold each precious hand,
Lifting each other up;
Sing for vision, sing for unity,
Lifting our hearts to Sing!
YES WE CAN
Music and lyrics by Kathy Sawada
Yes we can
Lift each other up
In peace, in love, in hope
Change! Change!

The McCain campaign should run an excerpt of this as their own ad. They could put silhouettes of McCain and Palin down at the bottom of the screen and have them do a running commentary, MST3000 style.
Splice it together with clips of little North Korean tykes singing hymns to Dear Leader.

I agree. I also believe if Obama wins that we will start to see serious separatist movements here in the U.S. And I ain't talkin' about Vermont.
Well, you're right on target there.
Many people (with many firearms) who, after Clinton was reelected, were ready to start doing damage but were talked down by moderate friends and finally saw he was "relatively harmless".
This time the moderating influence may not be there especially if the ACORN crowd works their fraud machine well.

Lots of them. Look around at all of the folks here who have kids in the 9-11 range. And some of them make some pretty astute comments. Mandy Manners little boy (7) (I think it was him, apologies if the child belongs to someone else) noticed that none of the houses he passes that have Obama signs have American flags. The 11 year old I home school can and does carry on a political discussion about this election (sometimes with her homeschool friends) on at least the intellectual level you will find on most college campuses.
I am aware of that, I raised my own kids that way.
but kids dont form spontaneous groups, purchase t-shirts, etc.

Absolutely. Hope you don't mind me reposting this quote:
The problem with conservative Republicans is that we are like those young women and girls we have seen in those grainy, nightmarish news videos, being walked off the street by their attackers to their eventual sexual abuse, rape and death. They have been reared in polite households and conditioned not to scream or make a scene on the streets, even if they are suspicious they are fearful of acting out in their own defense. I taught all my children that they must not be afraid to kick, scream, bite, howl, and NEVER to be walked calmly to their goodnight.

yes, but remember that Kerry's personality was unpleasant - he had an unattractive face and a demeanor that was unusually off-putting - nobody liked Kerry, not even his own party. Contrast that to Obama, who won the primary was the chosen one* precisely for his charismatic qualities, his good looks, his articulate (NOT eloquent, articulate) vocal pattern.

Republican passiveness and their sometime love of the ideals above action reminds me of the old joke about a fellow following two hikers through a path in the woods.
He notices the two hikers becoming very excited at reaching a crossroads ahead with a signpost. The fellow cannot read the sign from his distance, but he observes that the two hikers part company, each taking separate forks.
He hurries up to the signpost to see what motivated their parting of the ways, and sees two arrows pointing in opposite directions. One says 'Heaven', and the other says 'Discussion about Heaven'
Guess which road the Republican would have taken......

Unfortunatly, with San Fran Nan runny the super Democrat majority in congress, a lot:
2 Supreme Court justices. Extremely liberal activists that will be there for decades
Lower level Fed'l judges
Laws passed that dictate wages in the private sector
Union voting no long by secret ballot
More public funding for abortions/remove what little regulation there is now
A foreign policy that justs drifts in a very dangerous world
Regulation of the railroad industry that will bring us back to the bad old days of the 1960s and 70s (Remember Penn Central)
Redrawing the congressional boundries to ensure Democratic success in elections
ACORN, NAACP, Seirra Club, AFSMCE, Service employees unions, etc calling the shots

This congress is filled with like-minded people - the Jim McDermotts (re-elected in Seattle with something like 80+ percent of the vote), the Pete Starks, the entire CBC, an open socialist Senator from Vermont (?), Sanders...it's not just Obama. In part socialists really believe they are the true democrats, but it's "participatory democracy" and decision-making "by consensus" and "extending democracy from the political to the economic sphere", etc.
The cooption of "liberalism" has been more straightforward as a euphemism for socialism. There's a quote from an American socialist leader in the 1940s who said that under the label liberalism the American public would swallow the entire socialist program without even noticing. Anyone know that quote? Can't find it...
Capturing the language was a key obsession to the left in the 1970-90s. See the prominence of linguist Noam Chomsky.

I was just wondering where the giant puppets were?
Maybe that was a different class.
I was reading the "recap" for the annual moonbat migration to Oak Ridge, TN to protest nukes, and they honest-to-goodness had an article about their giant puppet making session, and how they wanted to thank everyone who worked so hard this year making puppets that will make a difference.
JULY 31 – AUGUST 4 • Puppet Workshop
for novices and experienced puppetistas alike; come make giant street theatre puppets for the Oak Ridge action!
...
People began arriving earlier in the week to build puppets and help prepare for the Saturday events; by Friday evening there were thirty or forty people at the nonviolence workshop/ peacekeeper training/puppet rehearsal at Church of the Savior in Knoxville. When it was over, we were ready for Saturday.
The above two quotes are real and are NOT satire by me.

Cute kids in blue Imagine Hope T-Shirts singing about how the dear leader, St. Obama will save the world and usher in a new age, while glassy-eyed adults (also in blue shirts) look on adoringly. It's reminiscent of children during China's Cultural Revolution singing songs of praise to Chairman Mao.
Sample lyrics:
We're gonna spread happiness
We're gonna spread freedom
Obama's gonna change it
Obama's gonna lead 'emWe're gonna change it
And rearrange it
We're gonna change the world.
Now's the moment, lift each voice to sing
Sing with all your heart!
For our children, for our families,
Nations all joined as one.
Sing for joy and sing abundant peace,
Courage, justice, hope!
Sing together, hold each precious hand,
Lifting each other up;
Sing for vision, sing for unity,
Lifting our hearts to Sing!

Incubus - Megalomaniac lyrics
I hear you on the radio
You permeate my screen
Its' unkind but,
If I met you in a scissor fight
I'd cut off both your wings
On principle alone
Hey megalomaniac!
You're no Jesus!
Yeah, you're no fucking Elvis!
Wash your hands clean of yourself, baby
And step down, step down!
If I were your appendages
I'd hold open your eyes
So you'd see
That all of us are heaven sent
And there was never meant to be only one
To be only one
Hey megalomaniac!
You're no Jesus!
Yeah, you're no fucking Elvis!
Wash your hands clean of yourself, baby
And step down, step down!
You're no Jesus
You're not Elvis
You're no answer
Hey megalomaniac!

Yeah, you're no fucking Elvis!
Wash your hands clean of yourself, baby
And step down, step down!

usually such children choirs are led by an adult, especially when hand motions are involved. So somewhere off camera is an adult, leading this.
The Asian lady is leading them. So, this is the "more than a campaign, it's a movement!" It is so much like every mainline Sunday School performance, or Vacation Bible School activity. But lift up your hearts to....Him. He. He is going to lead 'em...oh, not the Deity, or Creator, or Great Spirit,. "Disturbing" is the best way to describe it. I take most of the political rhetoric during election season with a grain of salt. I know the liberals are wanna be communists and I never worried too much because we've always kept them in check, but this is different.
I watched this video the first time and actually felt "fear" for what I was seeing. For all the talk we do about Obama being an "empty suit", that video crystallized for me the threat that the people behind him in the shadows pose. For the first time, I am actually afraid for our country if this man and his ilk get into office.
Remember the saying, "...defending our nation from enemies foreign or domestic"? Well we just saw the domestic enemy. The American public is going to clean house this November in Congress, but how do we clean house in the media and Hollywood? How do we shut someone down like Soros? I believe that man and his partners that are in the shadows are more dangerous than Osama Bin Laden. How do you defend from them? I really don't know the answer. Do you?

I wish I'd known that a couple of years ago when my son was in high school. His "English" teacher was a rabid leftie who spent most of her time talking about how horrible President Bush was. I should have sat in on her classes if I weren't so new on the job and my boss was a jerk about time off.

Charles, wouldn't it have been sufficient to point out that if these children were singing about McCain, the Koskids would've worn their fingers to nubs hitting the how chillingly Riefenstahl-esque! macro button they've all got on their keyboards?
Oddly enough I just taught this very subject this afternoon. The Girl Scouts are similar to Hitler Youth and the Young Pioneers, etc. The biggest difference lies in that anyone can join the Scouts and nobody has to. Hitler Youth/Young Pioneers are restricted membership and you had no choice if you were told to join. And then of course the ultimate aim of Hitler Youth/Young Pioneers is political indoctrination.

That "Cabaret" scene is the first thing I thought of too, even before I actually heard the little golden voices uplifted in praise of The One. That scene makes my skin crawl every time I watch the film, and this one did too. The McCain campaign ought to put it out as an ad with no commentary, just a title explaining what it is. If that doesn't wake people up as to what Obama is and what his followers want, nothing will.

Getting Gay with Kids is here
Lets knock down the rainforest, whaddaya say?
It's totally gay, It's totally gay!
One million updings for the perfect South Park reference! This is the way to respond to the "Hooray for Obama" children's choir -- it's not so much Hitler-rific or Stalin-esque; it's just really fuckin' gay in the worst sense of the term.
Seriously, most of the parents who encouraged their children to participate in this gaywad-fest presumably did so because they are yellow-dog Democrat "progressives" -- and not because they are in the thrall of Obama the Messiah. In other words, from their point of view, this is about values, not about personality. And there's nothing creepy or weird in itself about parents trying to instill their own values in their children.
Which is not to say that there's NO "cult of personality" surrounding Obama, but only to say that (a) the majority of Obama supporters don't take it to that level; and (b) the fact that the song lyrics mention the candidate's name twice is hardly evidence that the kids are being manipulated and indoctrinated into Obama-worship.

Not quite. If you'll allow a reprint of my comment over at my blogpost, Obama Y Los Niños:
[T]he problem with many people is that their only totalitarian reference seems to be Hitler and Nazism. Nazism didn't encourage tenderness towards its Führer. In fact, that would've been un-Aryan. But that is Communism's approach with their Dear Leaders.
This is the creepiest thing I've yet seen attached to the Cult of Obama. If Americans don't wake up, and fast, about the kind of "inspiration" this man encourages about himself, it'll be much too late for our kids. There already is intimidation on college campuses if you're not Obama. And those are practically adults.

Actual quote on YouTube from (apparently) the mother of the little girl singing at the top of the video:
Because I am a musician, I believe in the power of music to concretely change the collective consciousness, to strengthen and broaden our communal idea of who we are as families, nations and as citizens of the planet. Our children are the most powerful reason for us to come together.
And from one of the other parents:
It also seems you fail to realize that children are as intelligent as adults. You're born with the same IQ that you die with. When a child expresses their feelings & thoughts they are being TOTALLY REAL, unlike most adults who's opinions have been tempered by their life experiences.
Of course adults' opinions have been tempered by their life experiences. It's called WISDOM.

Are Hitler analogies going too far? Of course.
But when he tries to deny that this group of parents are using their children and brainwashing them he is dead wrong. This was no spontaneous outpouring of love by a group of children who have made up their own minds. This was an obviously well-rehearsed recital that centers around something very much akin to worship of a single man who's populism is very much a real threat to our liberty in any number of ways.

Moreover, what's with all the swearing? Can't you express yourself, to people whom you don't know, without cussin' all the time. Aside from the utter creepiness of singing about a Presidential candidate like a bunch of communist youth to their cult of personality leader, it has almost a surreal nature in that the kids were doing what they were asked to do, the 'conductor' looked like she was ready to wet her pants from excitement and the parents looked moderately bored to 'oh, how sweet - let's smile for the camera and get the heck out of here'.
What was their point?

The lyrics are both scary and weird. The obliqueness of BHO's message is the sort of thing that dictators and tyrants use to manipulate the masses. A hypnotic emptiness, both hollow and enticing.
"Obama's gonna change it
Obama's gonna lead 'em
We're gonna change it
And rearrange it"
What is this "it"? What will be "changed"? What will be "rearranged"? Our lives? Our political system? Religion? The friends we keep? Our jobs?
"Obama's gonna lead 'em"? WTF? Who's that? Is he going to lead "us"? No, he's going to lead "'em". The "others", the ones who are not with Obama. Who? Republicans? Jews? Christians?
That children were (ab)used to convey this particlular message in this way is very disturbing.

You have to feel sorry for these poor kids. The proud parents are co-conspirators in the socialist brain washing of these children and this simply shows how confused and lost they are. While they sing the high praises of their savior they are too foolish to realize that Obama is out on the campaign trail with two former CEO’s of the now failed Fanny and Freddy promising to deliver their children into the bowels of despair in a new socialist America where political elitist like himself will have them chanting “Yes, we can” like a jihadist at a madrassa while he taxes away what greatness is left in this country and serves us up to our enemies like a sacrifice to some pagan god! Poor, poor wretched fools. What these people need is a real savior. A savior called Jesus Christ. Not one that thinks it’s ok to let children of botched abortions be left to die. Not one that thinks its ok to worship in a church that fans the fires of hatred and racism. Not one that thinks it’s your patriotic duty to pay more taxes. Not one that thinks you only need to vote “present” when representing your constituents. Not one where his own vice presidential nominee and most of his party heads have said he doesn’t have the experience or the knowledge to lead. No, no, no! Come to think of it, they probably don't even know who Leni Riefenstahl is. Otherwise, they wouldn't have re-enacted "Triumph of the Will" in Denver...

I don't care what political affiliation you are: Liberal, Conservative, whatever.
But when you start adoring a politician, any politician, then there's trouble. Personality cult in politics spells trouble. Politicians should be tolerated to the extent that we have to elect someone to run the government. Heck, you can even like them a bit if you want - you don't have to hate them.
But to adore and sing praise of them or worse, having your kids sing praise of them, is just downright scary.
Luckily, just like the Obama campaign, this song is even shorter on specifics than "Imagine". Just Change, change change yeswecan yeswecanyeswecan.
I heard some Kraftwerks songs with more lyrics.

Sure it will come as no shock to any here, but many comments critical of these videos or Obama in general are being deleted over at youtube. It really is something to see nothing but, "Smiling faces, yes we can", "how inspiring!" - happy meal type comments about these videos littered with a few late comers asking why none are critical of the man and his "movement" prior to getting axed themselves. They even deleted one of mine for explaining the deletions to another poster. Check out the "Barackapella" vid for a nauseating after dinner snack.

You have a valid point underneath your insults and screaming but you're not helping with your presentation.
When, exactly, did I "scream"?
I will admit to insulting random63 a little bit by suggesting that his "scared the hell out of me" language made him sound like a hysterical sissy, and ought to "butch up." I also admit that my phrasing was saltier than necessary; I could've made the same point without using the F-word.
So let me rephrase:
Please, folks, stop being such big fat silly-billies. When you resort to such outlandish hyperbole as comparing Obama to Pol Pot or calling this musical performance "child abuse," you sound exactly like the leftists who've been doing the "Bush is Hitler" schtick for the past eight years.

Code Pink kiddie porn.
No surprise that scumbag Zucker's behind this. Bear in mind, NBC was the only news outlet to agree to run that disgraceful ad interviewing "doctors" who predicted that McCain, if elected, will die in office since he's had several previous bouts with skin cancer (funded by Howard Dean's brother, no less). ABC, CBS, FOX, even CNN wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole but Zucker, Silverman and the other Obama pimps at NBC had no qualms whatsoever runnign it. Hell, they probably shared a good laugh previewing it. F' them and their lame network.

This ultimately defines what liberals are all about. They are child like in their thoughts and deeds. They live not in the real world, but in an imaginary place where all is possible (/if enough taxes can be raised to pay for it), and no wish or desire is unattainable (/don't we all deserve that ipod and HDTV even if we can't afford it?). Their god is the fairy of peace who will make those who want to exterminate us instantly recognize the good in us (/let's shake or enemies hands and be friends). Won't the world be such a wonderful place when a man who embodies such beliefs becomes our commander and chief? We can finally rid ourselves of those nasty nukes and open our borders and homes to all the worlds peoples. (/they're just like us you know. We just don't talk to them enough).

That is one creepy-assed video, right there.
All it needed was a giant portrait of "Dear Leader" the Obamessiah himself, hanging behind the kids, while they genuflect before it.
What kind of whacked-out "parent" would allow this nonsense to go on with their kids?
It needs a Goebbels or Kim to complete the pic. Holy crap.

IRONICALLY TODAY (OCT 1ST) IS THE FOUNDING DAY OF THE "PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA"
Let me say one more thing. My wife is native Chinese. She said this is exactly what the communists used to do in schools in China to indoctrinate the children into communism and the cult-worshipping of Chairman Mao. It also creeped her out but she also laughed at how dumb some Americans are to do this sort of thing. She also said that when she was a child her friends really hated doing this but were forced to do it by their teachers and peer pressure.
Thank God most Chinese of her age hate this sort of thing. Whenever we are in a taxi in China and the driver is playing some screeching Chinese nationalistic song she demands the driver to turn the radio off or she will get out of the taxi. Don't get me wrong. She loves China and her people...just not "that" China.
This sort of thing is NOT as innocent as it looks.
This is really wrong on so many levels.

Haha, I caught Ms. Sawada changing the settings on the video. A few minutes ago it said it's unavailable, and when I went to my history folder and click on the link to it, it said it's a private video. Now it's available again but comments are disabled. I guess the lady figured out she was the laughing stock of the better part of a nation. By better, I don't necessarily mean larger...better as in better than everyone else as in not liberal. She apparently couldn't handle all those negative comments. They just hurt her little feelings. But don't worry, Obama's gonna change it if he gets elected. He'll just take away our freedom of speech like he's trying to do in Missouri!

First. #763 Macker -- we don't do that here. Go somewhere else.
This thread has been terrific. I think Peter V. is trying to alert us to the fact that too many (not necessarily among the Lizards) are not allowing themselves to see that this is NOT "liberal" or "democratic" as we've known it for the past forty years. Everyone is putting familiar terms on a new phenomenon and I think Peter V. means that not enough of us will identify this as a form of fascist socialism (a red-brown combination, something like the "red-fascism" J. Edgar Hoover used to write about) before it's too late. Peter doesn't understand how goofily optimistic we all are, in this country, though. John McCain will WIN. I am doing everything I can to make that happen, and so is everyone else I know. So. We don't think downer stuff like Obama will win. He won't. We won't let him.
I'm working on a study on indoctrination, and I'll pass along some alarming assessments of what constitutes indoctrination. They're from one of the standards in the field: I. A. Snook (ed.), "Concepts in Indoctrination: Philosophical Essays." London: Routledge and Kegan Paul, 1973. The purpose of indoctrination is to result in "holding beliefs regardless of evidence." Indoctrination is: "teaching an ideology as if it were the only possible one with any claim to rationality...teaching, as if they are certain, propositions the teacher knows are uncertain...or false and known to be false." Indoctrination is the case "provided the teacher knows that the beliefs are substantially disputed...(there must be) positive intent to make the child incapable of further appraisal of the subject; (indoctrination is the case) if irrational methods were so consistently used as to lead to a contempt for the (opposing) evidence."
"Contempt for opposing evidence." I would say the indoctrination process is clearly in force in this terrible little video and, no doubt, the perpetrators would hold any opposing view in contempt. And, this know-it-all, dismissive, *uck "Amerika" attitude is all over the campuses now, too. And from the INSTRUCTORS! We have our work cut our for us.
Here's one of the best video series I've ever seen on education in the Third Reich. It was on Channel 4 in Britain in 2005 and really is terrible and completely worth seeing. This link is to "Hitler's Children: Education." There are five in the series: Seduction, Dedication, War, and Sacrifice, besides this one. The series was directed by Guido Knopp, the best in the business in this area. Enjoy, grimly. And, thanks, Lizards.

Yes, and the delusion morphs into a sense of entitlement as they attain power (/We know what's best for you and the planet, so don't question how we spend your money). The spirit of the spoiled child becomes channeled through the body of the adult politician (/We must have universal health care. Who says its not realistic?) Yes reminded me of the Hitler Youth and the Red Camps that flourished in New York and California in the 40s and 50s. I looked at the space where this horror was occurring and it looked like a public school classroom. It would be like the Obamanation's campaign to politicize the classroom (probably one of the reeducation camps sponsored by the CAC under the auspices of Ayers and Obama).
I also have to wonder how any of those present can shout how Obama's gonna change things when they can't point out two things he's done in his life that had any beneficial consequential effect on public policy. Voting present 130 times is not a recipe fo hope and change.

This isn't Axelrod's M.O. I have no doubt that it's a very sincere private effort, it's just too clumsy a product to pin on a real propagandist. It is a blunt instrument. No panache at all. Axelrod has been screwing around with politics in my area since I've been old enough to vote, and I'm 50(ish) years old. This Sawada character never contemplated the consequences of this piece. A pro would have. That's why this video needs to stick around; rip, repost, a jillion views all over the web until they just can't escape it. It really should grow like a fungus. It may seem kind of callous to think this way, what with a vid full of little kids and all, but they own it. They then will be beaten about the head with it. They deserve no less.
