Reposting taxfreekiller's great post - hope you don't mind tfk.

Thanks Charles,
This is what we came home to after two years for some one for others,
and ones and twos for 12 years, with guns and ammo down the trails,
you could sit in the hills west of Dong Ha, on the DMZ and watch the Russian truck head lights on the mountain roads just chugging along knowing they were safe due to the workings of commie Democrats and the likes of Ayers. Get off planes in Calif. and have crap thrown at you,
people cussing you, yelling and screaming. Not that its the only thing, but know well all you younger ones who post here and you who come to read and learn, it was evil then, it is more so now. The truth of the evil that Ayers and the others did is clear. The work of the press goes on just as prior. The guys in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other places of danger do not deserve to be shot in the back while they are not looking by evil little men like this Ayers and his clone Obama.
Never Forget.

Pretty darn funny, in teh classic Airplane mold. Although it's so far right-wing it even offended me once or twice.

Yes, I pulled the Naomi Jaffe thread, because there's some doubt about whether it's the same person as the Weather Underground terrorist. I haven't been able to nail it down either way yet, but I'm still checking.

The absurd thing is that other side acts as if they were infallible. We on the other hand KNOW that we can make mistakes so we make the effort to check our facts and we try to fix things when we find that we are wrong.

/Who here tipped them off?
I read the article and Reply No. 10 floored me. So this is how they see so many who will not vote for The One? I hate them ....... I know it is a terrible thing to say but I do hate them.
Reply No. 10:
I think the negitive attack ads will work but I'm glad that unlike with HRC Obama sees them coming and he is already up 330 -204 in the electorial college so it wont cost him too many states. To those of us with IQs in the triple digits this is an obvious ploy and something to laugh at. But unfourtunatly those in Nothern Alabama (Ohio) and Northeastern Mississsippi (PA) arent exactly the brightest stars in the sky. Like I always say, black turnout, latino and young people's turnout will have to be so high as to off set the bradley effect & also the voter fraud and disenfranchisment likely to occur by repubicans in this election. This is all up to us young people now. Because old white folks like our grandparents and some of our parents are hopeless beyond repair and if negitive attacks worked with a rich white man then they will have a devistating effect on an intelligent black man aka white men's worst nightmare.

It's more an aggressive self-image "I am great" thing. Just the spelling alone tells me that that writer does NOT have a triple-digit IQ. (Also, 204 electoral votes is not a done deal.) S/he is just a jerk who wants to believe otherwise.
As a friend of mine says, "This is Obama's problem. So many of his supporters are jerks."

OT sort of....
A year ago, a wayward (a-hole) neighbor abandoned his old Golden Retriever. Soon, he'd adopted us and moved in. The dog food bills tripled. Oh, but what a good friend he is.
Tonight, I (finally) allowed inside another stray that has had plans on adopting us for a couple of months. The last time I took him home (about a mile from here), the mom flippantly asked me if I wanted to adopt a dog. (The young daughter squealed "No Mom!")
Tonight he ate like a horse, and smelled horribly. Just now, I've spent the last forty minutes giving him a bath in the tub. He now smells somewhat of a mixture of coconut shampoo and true funk. So, he'll fit right in.
My dilemma is the daughter.
This dog, now sitting at my feet in front of the running furnace (yes, my furnace is in the Dining Room). His head is on the floor and a tennis ball is between his paws. He is asleep.
What do I do? Take him home or keep him?

Well, serves me right for asking such an open-ended question!
How are you doing tonight?
Beats the alternative. Still looking for work. Did one thing fun, met a friend Thursday and went to see the INtrepid return to Manhattan, on the way I had a brainstorm and we stopped by the NY Sun offices and I got Seth Lipsky and Ira Stoll to autograph a last copy.

Suggested letter for my fellow lizards to send to their local paper. Change the comparison to someone in your area, of course. :)
I did a little research into this 'moderate' Senator, and here's what I found. I looked at 2 groups, the Americans for Democratic Action (www.adaction.org ) and the American Conservative Union (www.conservative.org ). Both groups rate Congress on how closely each member votes in accordance with liberal or conservative beliefs.
According to the ADA, Barak Obama scored a 95% 'liberal' rating. Also scoring a 95% liberal rating were Hillary Clinton and John Kerry, with long time liberal icon Ted Kennedy scoring a perfect 100%. For perspective, both Sam Brownback & Todd Tiahrt were both scored 5% 'liberal'.
On the other side, the ACU rated Barak at 8% conservative (lifetime),> while Hillary scored 9%, John Kerry scored 5.6% and Ted Kennedy scored 2.5%. Again, for perspective, Brownback scored as 94% & Tiahrt 95% lifetime conservatives.
To portray Barak Obama as a 'moderate', when his voting record shows his stance is virtually identical to that of a John Kerry or Ted Kennedy is to deny the truth. If you're going to support him, admit that he's a liberal. Sam Brownback ran as a conservative, and his record reflects that. Why can't Barak Obama do the same thing?

What we need is a YouTube documentary from the genre of Team America World Police. It could accurately detail Senator Obama's rise to the Presidential campaign in less than 5 minutes.
The cast would include Rev. Wright, Rezco the Hut, twins Fannie and Freddie Mac, Barney Frank, Ayers, Michelle Obama, Rainbow PUSH insurgents and more shady characters/scenes.
The climax would be Governor Palin fast roping from a V-22 Osprey piloted by Senator McCain and the First Dude. Can you see her with a mini-gun blazing metal lipstick from her hip, Trig on her back, k-bars on her heels, and Joe Biden's eyebrows on her bandelier shouting "DRILL BABY DRILL"?
It would go viral!

a friend I haven't heard from in awhile called me last night.
he described his new job..... he works as a "facilities engineer" at a site that has four ten acre buildings (ie. each building is ten acres). Inside each building? Row upon row upon row of computer memory banks.
His job is to ensure that the water cooling system is working and that the the 30-megawatts (that is, 30,000-KW) of diesel generator sets that provide power in case of a loss of the grid power will come on line as needed.
Four ten acre buildings full of memory.
And there are eight of these sites in the USA.
And he just trained the Belgians in how to operate their plant.....
He told me that every book that has ever been published resides in those memory banks.... and that geeks on Razor scooters ply the aisles (the geeks that have twenty piercings in their eye brows alone - you know what I'm talking about).
And who is behind this? Who owns this and, who employs these people?
None other than "Google".
(welcome to now.)

I'm on the verge of deciding not to vote in this election.
I've found out Ohio's Secretary of State is more or less determined to hand Ohio to Obama on a silver platter, thanks to the early voting scam (thousands of ballots sitting in Board of Elections offices for five weeks? Absolutely no way that amount of time would be taken advantage of!), her recent "advisory" to county BoE's that election observers are to be turned away because people are "casting ballots" which she parses as being different from "voting", and her history of being one of the most partisan elected officials in the entire state.
Voter fraud is most likely being committed en masse by ACORN and other groups, as they pick up homeless people and (probably) take them from voting place to voting place. Because they have no permanent address and because requiring ID to vote is racist, there is nothing to stop these groups from casting as many votes as they can stuff in the box. And there is no one to make Brunner investigate, because this is probably part of her plan to begin with. And the media won't report on it, I've only seen Fox News, Lou Dobbs, and Glenn Beck even talk about it, much less spread the word.
I'm sorry if I anger anyone, but McCain's chances have long since dried up. He has to win in almost all of the swing states; he's currently leading in polls in only a few, and even then by the barest of threads.
I'm really concerned about the future, and I don't know what to do to prepare for eight years of Obama. I think I'm going into depression, to be honest. I don't know if anyone else here agrees with me, and I don't care. The Dems are taking over Congress and the presidency, and the average American is thrilled about it. If I were not tied down with college, I think I would prepping to move to Canada. At least that country admits that it's socialist.

re: #135 Athens Runaway
Dude, getting people so depressed they don't vote is exactly the plan of the lying media and their phoney polls. Don't fall for it. Besides a lot can happen in a month. The voters rejected Kerry, I don't believe they will elect Obama. If Ohio becomes pivital, you know it's going to go to the supreme court.

The Politico article which was in the previous thread:
I read the article and Reply No. 10 floored me. So this is how they see so many who will not vote for The One? I hate them ....... I know it is a terrible thing to say but I do hate them.Reply No.
****
Ah, the white, racially-enlightened white male hater.
I don't know about anybody else, but I wouldn't have any trouble accepting an intelligent black man as POTUS if he was qualified, had reasonable politics, and didn't associate with hate mongers, radicals, and have a past worth hiding as if his entire career depended on it.
P.S. I hope someone will teach this punk with the triple-digit IQ how to spell "negative", "unfortunately", and "electoral" before he/she graduates.

OBAMA has ZERO integrity till he comes out and says
these folks who caused this bailout mess will be laying next
