I have seen that video and he makes some really great points. He lays out socialism in a very good way and I love it when he talks about celebrities and especially Jane Fonda.

I have to wonder if all this shenanigans hasn't originated in Russia --cold war stuff. Any Chicago/Russia connections? We know there is a Kennedy/Chicago connection and a Kennedy/Russia connection.

It's blatant Communism. As as well as the finger pointing to fascism.

Hmmm?

Nothing! I see nothing Palin-related at all in this video.

And what, pray tell, gives you the right to post something not about Sarah Palin?

I've only thought about her 23 hours out of the last 24. This is unacceptable! I demand a Total Immersive Palin Environment!

I watched the entire thing. It was taped in 1985. The speaker was a defector from the USSR explaining the process of Marxist takeover of a nation. According to him, the infiltration in the USA is complete via the educational institutions, and next is destabilization of currency, banking system, and finally the government collapses.

And he said that in 1985.

This is hilarious:

I just received one of those typical email list emails from a distant friend who is settling into motherhood and housewifedom. It's that kind of "Here's an update on my boring life and family" email. But this one had a unique contemporary twist. It went sort of like this:

"Hi everyone, sorry for the impersonal email, but it's the only way I can catch up with all my friends and family. Little Morgan is 5 years old now and just loves kindergarten...[blah blah blah]...and I started a women's reading group but I just couldn't stick with it...[blah blah blah]...Uncle Joe had a health scare but it turned out to be nothing...[blah blah blah]...The trees are turning lovely colors this time of year...[blah blah blah]..."

...and so onward it went for several paragraphs.

Everything seemed perfectly normal until right before the end, when the email concluded like this:

"...So that's how this are in my little corner of the world. Hope all of you are doing OK. Oh, and one last thing: I am so terrified of Sarah Palin that I can't sleep at night anymore. I fear it will be the end of American if she wins. I am utterly obsessed with this woman, and not in a good way. It's all I think about. I'm even driving Sam crazy with my ranting.

Til next time,

xxx"

Up until that closing comment, this woman has never mentioned politics to me (or anyone, as far as I know) in her entire life! I didn't even think she was a moonbat!

The Palin effect has reached into the deepest recesses of our national psyche.

Zombie, I've gotten the same reaction from my daughter-in-law and her mother. They are both fascinated by her and at the same time terrified of her.I can't for the life of me understand them. They are definitely dhimmis, and love Obama. When my son asks her why, she doesn't know. Thank God my son and daughter are conservatives. re: #41 zombie

As a mother of a former young child I can tell you that you get so wrapped up in the world of the young child that it's easy to become a moonbat for those years. I did. You are inundated with child care books and magazines and playgroups--and a mindset that helps you raise a young child into a person who doesn't hit but learns to use words --literally. It's easy to get confused and think the whole world can work that way.

Give her a few years to come out of it.

Fine. The brusing finally went away. Still a little swelling on my left side. Barely no pain (an occasional "pinch" on the incision), I'll be up to full duties at the theatre by this coming weekend.

Although 4 days after surgery, I was back in the tech booth running the show, and the producer caught me vacuuming on the 5th day after surgery. He stopped me.

more gobbledegook,,ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Seven aides to Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin have reversed course and agreed to testify in an investigation into whether the Republican vice presidential nominee abused her powers by firing a commissioner who refused to dismiss her former brother-in-law.

There is no indication, however, that Palin or her husband will now agree to testify in the legislative inquiry, which has dogged her for the past several months and could hurt John McCain in the final weeks of the presidential race.

You know, I could always host a Lizard get together at the theatre. It has a wonderful bar and lounge, great view of lookout mountain, there would be no problem hosting any evening or afternoon, as long as it's not a perfomance night or a rehearsal going on.

Golden is not hard to get to. And it could be a cash bar, since we have a full stocked bar. And it would be free, not charge for using the facility.

Heard "The Wall of Sound" many times, though years later. Never got that close to it though.

re: #92 Walter L. Newton

We need to do that. Should we invite the local Freepers? There are probably some dualies like me around.

I understand about washing your mouth out, but you are right. Hillary would be far superior to Barack, even with Bill tagging along. Yecch, now I've got to go clean up.

That's not right - you're supposed to keep your right hand over the hole in the guitar, not let it go up to the neck. Them's the rules.

No question: The Misfits. the show was so loud, it was actually beyond hearing. You "heard" them with your ribcage.

LOL - yeah, you bet!
BTW - I met and dated - once - Moishe Dayan's daughter, Yael . A very, indeed almost spectacularly beautiful young woman.
Ah, the memories!

re: #41 zombie

Is she really that loony or was that some inept attempt to try to deceitfully influence you?

I'm getting the exact same problem. Maybe one of those mini-black holes from the Large Hadron Collider got into Intrepid's computer.

I tried posting to the thread, and all I got was the Black Screen of Doom. Reloaded the thread, same thing. Hit "last comment", same thing.

Windows XP. Firefox 2.0, if this is any help to you, Charles.

YES! There's a bug- switch to IE or another browser, it seems to be firefox related.

123 Sharmuta  Mon, Oct 6, 2008 12:25:14am

re: #118 Alberta Oil Peon

I already posted a warning spinoff thread hoping that would help other Lizards, because at some point, this thread will have the same problem.

124 harry catbox  Mon, Oct 6, 2008 1:19:11am

Using firefox and also getting the black screen at comment 150 on the latest thread.

125 harry catbox  Mon, Oct 6, 2008 1:23:24am

re: #123 Sharmuta

post it again, if you would be so kind.

re: #126 Sharmuta

thanks

128 Sharmuta  Mon, Oct 6, 2008 2:32:33am

I hope other Lizards realize there is a spinoff warning them about the Firefox bug.

129 Alberta Oil Peon  Mon, Oct 6, 2008 2:51:20am

Hmm, according to Firefox, no spinoff links to this thread yet. But I followed your link, Sharmuta.

I think this may have something to do with what Charles was playing around with earlier, when he said he changed the way tables were rendered. I don't think Firefox suddenly acquired a bug. More likely, one of the changes Charles made had an unintended consequence.

I'm not going to bother with IE. I'll leave well enough alone, and trust that Charles will fix the problem after his well-deserved rest.

130 Sharmuta  Mon, Oct 6, 2008 3:00:34am

AOP- I didn't post that Firefox bug spinoff on this thread- I posted it on the thread above because it's more likely to be noticed on the top thread. Hopefully Lizards will look there. Otherwise I fear for Charles' inbox.

Firefox is broken at the moment- use another browser.

133 Ford_Prefect  Mon, Oct 6, 2008 4:29:47am

I hope someone out there is checking in on LGF spy. When I try to open the William Ayers thread I only get to comment 150 and then the page goes blank. I tried refreshing and also shut down Firefox and restarted and it still doesn't come up. I see other people are on it but I can't. Any ideas?

134 Ford_Prefect  Mon, Oct 6, 2008 4:32:14am

I just tried another thread with a lot of comments and it did the same thing. Not good. Maybe it is a setting somewhere?

That was some great guitar playing. Very Michael Hedges-esque yet still fresh and original. Thanks for sharing.
