Admit it — you thought about this movie too when you saw the video of the creepy Obama kids.

OT: Fighting Gulf of Aden piracy

As piracy rises off the Somali coast, new security initiatives are launched in tandem with calls from senior western naval personnel for the commercial sector to consider private solutions,

...earlier this week, the European Union's Brussels-based anti-piracy "cell" announced that two French naval vessels had been deployed to the Gulf of Aden to offer escort services to commercial shipping.

No, not that type of "French" escort services!

Breaking: Obama is Hiding a Radical Past!

Did you know that Barack Obama was affiliated with a leading national socialist party? Barack Obama didn’t include in his 2008 resume that he entered politics in the mid-1990s endorsed by Chicago’s leading socialists. This just keeps getting better and better. Barack Obama was an active participant in the 1990s, and a direct political beneficiary, of the Chicago New Party and, importantly, the Chicago DSA, a group of socialists affiliated with the Democratic Socialists of America.

39 WrathofG-d  Wed, Oct 8, 2008 12:29:46pm

I see nothing essentially wrong with teaching our youth towards peace, non-violence, etc., etc., blah blah blah (the Obama worship is another story all together however)

The problem is that this "peace, non-violence, etc." thing is only one sided and would only work if EVERYONE was teaching their children this, at the same time.

While we teach our children towards "non-violence", the enemy is teaching their children "conquest", "victory", "violence", and "submission".

Thus in the long run, our children are going to not know how to defend themselves, while the enemy will know nothing other than violence, and conquest. Where do you think this is going to end up?

The West will turn toward non-violence and peace quicker than those outside the West, and thus we should be working on getting everyone else to be non-violent, before we accept it upon ourselves. If however we continue to proceed in brainwashing our children first...we are only creating lambs to be consumed by the lions.

Children of the Corn
Village of the Damned
Children of the Damned
1958 Kool Aid ad
Triumph of the Will
Brady Bunch Kids "Sunshine Day"
Brady Bunch Kids "Time to Change"
The 1960 "I Wish I was an Oscar Mayer Weiner" ad
Tony Di Franco and the Di Franco Family
Korean "Dear Leader" paean
Jr. Star Search, "4 Boys and a Babe"
Twilight Zone
Hamas Kiddie Pageant
The New Mickey Mouse Club 1977
Lord of the Flies

After hearing the unleashed Sarah Palin accuse Sen. Barack Obama of "pallin' around with terrorists" -- and Sen. John McCain's brother call northern Virginia "communist country" -- this scribe is moved to a confession.

One-time Weathermen leader William Ayers, the target in Palin's day of rage, was once a guest in my kitchen. Not only that, but I brewed him a pot of tea and heated up a bagel.

Sorry Joel, interviewing Ayers isn't the same as the relationship Obama has and had with Ayers.

I don't want to get into a discussion about how parents should individually parent their own children. I was only stating that if we continue to teach our children that violence is always wrong, and everyone else is teaching their children that violence is what will make you powerful, and get you what you want, we are going to reach a point where their children attack our children, and our children will not be able to protect themselves.

Depending on how far down the line it is, our children in this scenario will either attempt to negotiate themselves around the conquest, or just simply submit.

This is what I fear.

I agree with you. I want my kid to be prepared for any eventuality. My kid is not going to bring harsh language to a gun fight, nor will he bring a gun to a debate. :)

Why, I think he was drawing a parallel between "Jesus Camp" and other forms of indocrination, including North Korea.

And, you made your own statement doing the same. What I find strange is that you keep denying, in effect, that you made your own statement... you keep pointing to Iowahawk, as if you didn't express your own, independent thoughts on the subject. Again, I'm an atheist, not my god in the fight, I just find your argument illogical.

And while no fan of Jesus Camp, I think the comparison to North Korea is a little... strained. In the context of the video, I write it off as poetic license.

There is no "teaching peace" it is simply a rewrite of teaching non-violence, or submission. It is another step towards the feminisation of The West.

The real problem I have with it (other than the fact that it completely eliminates any justice) is that our enemies are not going along with the plan.

The Torah states that ALL will turn swords into plowshares....not that one side will turn their swords into plowshares while the other turns their plowshares into swords.

Our present, leftist, recipe is one for submission, and destruction.

Web Archives Confirm Barack Obama Was Member Of Socialist 'New Party' In 1996

In June sources released information that during his campaign for the State Senate in Illinois, Barack Obama was endorsed by an organization known as the Chicago "New Party". The 'New Party' was a political party established by the Democratic Socialists of America (the DSA) to push forth the socialist principles of the DSA by focusing on winnable elections at a local level and spreading the Socialist movement upwards. The admittedly Socialist Organization experienced a moderate rise in numbers between 1995 and 1999. By 1999, however, the Socialist 'New Party' was essentially defunct after losing a supreme court challenge that ruled the organizations "fusion" reform platform as unconstitutional.

After allegations surfaced in early summer over the 'New Party's' endorsement of Obama, the Obama campaign along with the remnants of the New Party and Democratic Socialists of America claimed that Obama was never a member of either organization. The DSA and 'New Party' then systematically attempted to cover up any ties between Obama and the Socialist Organizations. However, it now appears that Barack Obama was indeed a certified and acknowledged member of the DSA's New Party.

On Tuesday, I discovered a web page that had been scrubbed from the New Party's website. The web page which was published in October 1996, was an internet newsletter update on that years congressional races. Although the web page was deleted from the New Party's website, the non-profit Internet Archive Organization had archived the page.

From the October 1996 Update of the DSA 'New Party':

"New Party members are busy knocking on doors, hammering down lawn signs, and phoning voters to support NP candidates this fall. Here are some of our key races...

Illinois: Three NP-members won Democratic primaries last Spring and face off against Republican opponents on election day: Danny Davis (U.S. House), Barack Obama (State Senate) and Patricia Martin (Cook County Judiciary)."

Beyond the archived web page from the Socialist New Party is the recognition by the "Progressive Populist" magazine in November 1996 that Obama was indeed an acknowledged member of the Socialist Party.

"New Party members and supported candidates won 16 of 23 races, including an at-large race for the Little Rock, Ark., City Council, a seat on the county board for Little Rock and the school board for Prince George's County, Md. Chicago is sending the first New Party member to Congress, as Danny Davis, who ran as a Democrat, won an overwhelming 85% victory. New Party member Barack Obama was uncontested for a State Senate seat from Chicago. "

"The Chicago New Party is increasely becoming a viable political organization that can make a different in Chicago politics. It is crucial for a political organization to have a solid infrastructure and visible results in its political program. The New Party has continued to solidify this base...

the NP's '96 Political Program has been enormously successful with 3 of 4 endorsed candidates winning electoral primaries. All four candidates attended the NP membership meeting on April 11th to express their gratitude. Danny Davis, winner in the 7th Congressional District, invited NPers to join his Campaign Steering Committee. Patricia Martin, who won the race for Judge in 7th Subcircuit Court, explained that due to the NP she was able to network and get experienced advice from progressives like Davis. Thanx for the kind words, but what is truly sidesplitting is how the makers of the original Obamatots video are completely confused about how anyone could possibly find it disturbing and creepy.

I had forgotten the plot of "It's a good day", very appropriate. Mummy just wished away to the cornfield anybody he didn't like or agreed with, kind of like the Obamatons (or tots) when it comes to listening to opposing viewpoints about the one. Nice!

No, closing right at the low range of the day is generally not a good sign. Portends more low in next session. Only good sign might be if it bounces tomorrow after testing the low twice today without breaking it. A good sign technically speaking is to close higher than open, or close at top of range for the day.

No argument from me there. Eric Rudolph has a special place in hell for leading people more stupid than him astray. The KKK/Nazi churches in Idaho are another example.

But, the venom of the left is aimed at mainstream Christian churches. I am sure there are many mosques in the US where the local imam teaches the followers to be be good members of the community and live a life where you put the needs of others around you before your own. But, there are a few bad ones, too. As for Judaism, look no further than the successors of Rabbi Kahne for excess and hate.

Turn the light on them all- but don't single out the Christians. Some of us will answer back.

You may not be old enough to remember the "Night of the Weenie Roast" in 1973, when brainwashed Oscar Mayer Weiner kids all across the country went on a rampage of killing and arson. "Roast the pigs!" they would cry, as they brandished their trademark bar-b-que forks. They had become convinced that America contained "unwholesome fillers", and needed to be "purged with fire".

It's all been covered up, of course. The carnage!

you'd think the obama camp would know how crazy this is.
they are so detached from reality it doesn't occur to them that the concept of chanting indoctrinated children would be seen as really bizarre.
they have lost all perspective because of over reaching arrogance.

Does anybody have a link to the full video of just the Obama children singing?

A society without controls is anarchy. I don't understand why Christians are considered fair game by some. Is it because they are safe targets?

I didn't advocate a society without controls.... just pointing out that religions IMO are forms of control and nothing more. Also I am an equal opportunity dissenter....... I lump them all together.... Christian, Buddhist, Hindus, Judaism, Muslim, with the disclaimer that all are not equal when enforcing there brand of control.

If Obama wins, with a Democratic Congress and very likely appointments to the Supreme Court in his hands--America will be changed, rearranged, he will lead it and we will see it. The Republic will end as surely as Ceasar and Octavian did so long ago. Alternatively, if McCain wins, there will be an openly violent reaction, already planned, carefully orchestrated and targeted, complete with propaganda points and sympathizers. Far better, though, to have McCain, even with the fifth column actively seeking to bring down civil war upon our heads. Live free or die.

Sure it is. McCain isn't a fire-breathing Righty. This is well-known. With McCain, you can get everything good that Obama is promising (it's not much) without any of the ruin his lack of experience, timidity, and interior incoherence would bring. Plus, you'd get the benefit of Palin's reformist zeal.

What's not to like? If you're a Dem, you should vote McCain.

On the DT I followed the link to the Reuters story about the cufflinks. The comments were so stupid and vile that I had to toss a bomb in. Any bets on whether it survives moderation?

Everything about Obama is a fraud and a bad joke. His pretension and narcisism would not be believable in a movie. He knows nothing. He has done nothing. He has disclosed almost nothing, not even his birth certificate, work records or college and law school transcripts. He deserves ridicule. He should never have made it as far as the Illinois Senate. The only things sustaining him are a core of fringe left wing extremists and a deeply bigoted group commited to racial grievance and hatred.

I find myself concerned, bewildered, and at times even terrified at the number of people who I know that are reasonably intelligent, well-educated, and not visibly suicidal, whose hatred of Bush and the Republicans has enabled them to embrace somebody whose lack of gravitas and whose far-left, racist, and destructive associations are right out there in the open.

Buzz - I had a discussion (ever-ongoing) with my best friend and co-worker today. She has always voted Democrat, never Republican. She has a somewhat more open mind this election as she does not like Obama's racism. She has been listening to the debates and trying to make up her mind. She somehow cannot see herself ever voting for a Republican, yet she does not like Obama.

Today, after last night's debate, she said this: "I like the policies of the Democratic Party, but when I look at Obama I don't trust him. When I look at McCain, I trust him but I don't like his policies."

I think this is where the undecideds are.

Opps, I mistook this for a Jesus Camp for a minute. I can't stand indoctrination in any form, Obama, Kim, Jesus. There can be a limit to anything.

That was Kim? Seriously?

I thought it was Billie Jean King.

This is great. The lyrics to this certainly is interesting. All praise to Obama and something about "nations all _____ as one"(nations all bleed as one?). No mention of America. Obama's gonna spread happiness and freedom. Because you know we don't have either in this country.

Which of the democrat's policies do they like? The socialist ones, the internationally cowardly ones, or the ones that destroy the economy for the sake of letting lower income people buy a house they can't afford?

She said she may not decide till she goes in the booth.

I think that's where a lot of people will decide. You've got your hand on the lever or touch screen or whatever. It's nobody there but you and God. Who do you trust?

I'm rarely undecided, but we recently had a special election to fill an unexpired school board term. One candidate was my neighbor and the other a guy I didn't know. They both had good backgrounds and some good ideas, and I honestly would have been okay with either one. On the way to the polling place, I saw the non-neighbor candidate standing on the corner with a big sign, waving at the passing cars with a big grin on his fate. It must have been 90 degrees out there. That earned him my vote. As it happens, he won.

Greetings to all the lizards from a long-time (unregistered) lurker (going on 6 years or so now) and now a proud new hatchling, attempting to survive in the dominion of Queen Christine (Gregoire), AKA, Washington State, where I am an infidel in the People's Republic of King County.

Having been on the emotional roller coaster of the last few weeks, I've been merely monitoring the comments of others and have been looking for something to elevate my mood. Thankfully, this video, for however brief a period of time, has been a humorous (yet also deeply disturbing in its accuracy) respite!

Having been a silent observer for so long, I am trying to restrain myself from making a rambling post with all the thoughts running through my head in my debut here on LGF, though I do hope to engage in the discussions at hand very soon!

Welcome aboard! :-)

My best bud, the E-5, was stationed at Ft. Lewis back in the '80s. His opinion is that Seattle is a wonderful town even if it's Chock Full O'Nuts (of the moonbat persuasion).

cheers

Re Jesus Camp: I added those clips as a sucker punch for Obama's legion of indie-film hipster douchebags. Though I found Jesus Camp entertaining, I know it's one of those faux-intellectual documentaries that urbane grad school types use to scare each other and revel in their own superiority. It's their ultimate stereotype for us stump-toothed inbreds out in Nebraskansaw.

389 eon  Wed, Oct 8, 2008 2:07:25pm

On the main subject of the thread, When I first saw the "ObamaKids" video, the first thing that came to my twisted mind was the opening of the 1967 movie, The Comedians, starring Richard Burton and based on the novel by Graham Greene. It was set in Haiti during the early days of Francois "Papa Doc" Duvalier's reign of terror, and described the descent into barbarism that occurred under his rule, with such pleasant groups as the Tonton Macoutes running around torturing people apparently just because "Papa Doc" woke up in the morning with a yen to see dead bodies lying in the street.

Where this connects to the video is that under the film's titles, the music is a group of children singing a song in praise to Duvalier, that was in fact required to be sung every morning in the country's schools. The first verse was, as best I can remember;

Duvalier!
Father of the Revolution!
President For Life!

Somehow, I suspect that Obama & Co. would totally fail to see the irony in this.

cheers

I heard on Rush today that some Dems are starting to say things like "If Obama does not win, there will be civil unrest and violence in the streets". James Carville was one of those quoted.

Sounds like blackmail to me.

I can see Carville dressed as a druid.

Weren't you going down to work today at your local Republican office and whip some youngsters into shape?
;)

I whipped them all day yesterday and tomorrow I am going whipping again.

Today they are whip-less. :)

I wonder what all this money printing will lead to........hmm, rampant inflation, perhaps?

I'm not sure they're printing it just yet.

The great American ATM -- your wallet and mine -- is still spitting out money. But frankly my branch is almost ready for the "out of order" sign.

Just Netflix'd it. I had never heard of this film, but based on your description I thought, "this sounds like Graham Greene wrote it." Sure enough, he did.
