Links of Ludicrousness:
1. Hamas Offers to Put Smuggling Tunnels Between Aza and Egypt On The (Israeli Funded) electricity grid, & Pay Benefits to Those "working" In The Tunnels....and the AP calls this "going legit". (ok I could have explained that better....just go read the article)
2. Although claiming since 1986 that they have had Ron Arad in custody, and attempting to exchange him for Terrorists, in deals with Israel...Hiz'b'allah now claims that Ron escaped over 20 years ago, and probably died on the journey. (this is EXACTLY why you don't trade soldiers for Terrorists, and deal honestly with Terrorists)

Speaking of Damned.. how exactly did this get missed by the Clinton campaign when going after Obama? Obama may have belonged to a far left radical political organization that promoted socialism but the organization disbanded in 1998. Its members continue pushing for socialism and moving the Democratic party lurching leftward.

OT: Fighting Gulf of Aden piracy
As piracy rises off the Somali coast, new security initiatives are launched in tandem with calls from senior western naval personnel for the commercial sector to consider private solutions,...earlier this week, the European Union's Brussels-based anti-piracy "cell" announced that two French naval vessels had been deployed to the Gulf of Aden to offer escort services to commercial shipping.
No, not that type of "French" escort services!

Breaking: Obama is Hiding a Radical Past!
Did you know that Barack Obama was affiliated with a leading national socialist party? Barack Obama didn’t include in his 2008 resume that he entered politics in the mid-1990s endorsed by Chicago’s leading socialists. This just keeps getting better and better. Barack Obama was an active participant in the 1990s, and a direct political beneficiary, of the Chicago New Party and, importantly, the Chicago DSA, a group of socialists affiliated with the Democratic Socialists of America.

I see nothing essentially wrong with teaching our youth towards peace, non-violence, etc., etc., blah blah blah (the Obama worship is another story all together however)
The problem is that this "peace, non-violence, etc." thing is only one sided and would only work if EVERYONE was teaching their children this, at the same time.
While we teach our children towards "non-violence", the enemy is teaching their children "conquest", "victory", "violence", and "submission".
Thus in the long run, our children are going to not know how to defend themselves, while the enemy will know nothing other than violence, and conquest. Where do you think this is going to end up?
The West will turn toward non-violence and peace quicker than those outside the West, and thus we should be working on getting everyone else to be non-violent, before we accept it upon ourselves. If however we continue to proceed in brainwashing our children first...we are only creating lambs to be consumed by the lions.

With the debates going on, my wife and I are teaching our 3 year old son that a "debate is how people fight by using words." We teach him that this is the only way he should ever fight. Because self defense is another issue, next year we are enrolling him in a kiddie tae kwon do class, and when he is old enough, I will teach him to properly use my .357.

I don't want to get into a discussion about how parents should individually parent their own children. I was only stating that if we continue to teach our children that violence is always wrong, and everyone else is teaching their children that violence is what will make you powerful, and get you what you want, we are going to reach a point where their children attack our children, and our children will not be able to protect themselves.
Depending on how far down the line it is, our children in this scenario will either attempt to negotiate themselves around the conquest, or just simply submit.
This is what I fear.

I agree with you. I want my kid to be prepared for any eventuality. My kid is not going to bring harsh language to a gun fight, nor will he bring a gun to a debate. :)

Why, I think he was drawing a parallel between "Jesus Camp" and other forms of indocrination, including North Korea.
And, you made your own statement doing the same. What I find strange is that you keep denying, in effect, that you made your own statement... you keep pointing to Iowahawk, as if you didn't express your own, independent thoughts on the subject. Again, I'm an atheist, not my god in the fight, I just find your argument illogical.

There is no "teaching peace" it is simply a rewrite of teaching non-violence, or submission. It is another step towards the feminisation of The West.
The real problem I have with it (other than the fact that it completely eliminates any justice) is that our enemies are not going along with the plan.
The Torah states that ALL will turn swords into plowshares....not that one side will turn their swords into plowshares while the other turns their plowshares into swords.
Our present, leftist, recipe is one for submission, and destruction.

Web Archives Confirm Barack Obama Was Member Of Socialist 'New Party' In 1996
In June sources released information that during his campaign for the State Senate in Illinois, Barack Obama was endorsed by an organization known as the Chicago "New Party". The 'New Party' was a political party established by the Democratic Socialists of America (the DSA) to push forth the socialist principles of the DSA by focusing on winnable elections at a local level and spreading the Socialist movement upwards. The admittedly Socialist Organization experienced a moderate rise in numbers between 1995 and 1999. By 1999, however, the Socialist 'New Party' was essentially defunct after losing a supreme court challenge that ruled the organizations "fusion" reform platform as unconstitutional.
After allegations surfaced in early summer over the 'New Party's' endorsement of Obama, the Obama campaign along with the remnants of the New Party and Democratic Socialists of America claimed that Obama was never a member of either organization. The DSA and 'New Party' then systematically attempted to cover up any ties between Obama and the Socialist Organizations. However, it now appears that Barack Obama was indeed a certified and acknowledged member of the DSA's New Party.
On Tuesday, I discovered a web page that had been scrubbed from the New Party's website. The web page which was published in October 1996, was an internet newsletter update on that years congressional races. Although the web page was deleted from the New Party's website, the non-profit Internet Archive Organization had archived the page.
From the October 1996 Update of the DSA 'New Party':
"New Party members are busy knocking on doors, hammering down lawn signs, and phoning voters to support NP candidates this fall. Here are some of our key races...Illinois: Three NP-members won Democratic primaries last Spring and face off against Republican opponents on election day: Danny Davis (U.S. House), Barack Obama (State Senate) and Patricia Martin (Cook County Judiciary)."
Beyond the archived web page from the Socialist New Party is the recognition by the "Progressive Populist" magazine in November 1996 that Obama was indeed an acknowledged member of the Socialist Party.
"New Party members and supported candidates won 16 of 23 races, including an at-large race for the Little Rock, Ark., City Council, a seat on the county board for Little Rock and the school board for Prince George's County, Md. Chicago is sending the first New Party member to Congress, as Danny Davis, who ran as a Democrat, won an overwhelming 85% victory. New Party member Barack Obama was uncontested for a State Senate seat from Chicago. "

The Democratic Socialist Party of America published in their July/August Edition of New Ground 47 Newsletter.
"The Chicago New Party is increasely becoming a viable political organization that can make a different in Chicago politics. It is crucial for a political organization to have a solid infrastructure and visible results in its political program. The New Party has continued to solidify this base...
the NP's '96 Political Program has been enormously successful with 3 of 4 endorsed candidates winning electoral primaries. All four candidates attended the NP membership meeting on April 11th to express their gratitude. Danny Davis, winner in the 7th Congressional District, invited NPers to join his Campaign Steering Committee. Patricia Martin, who won the race for Judge in 7th Subcircuit Court, explained that due to the NP she was able to network and get experienced advice from progressives like Davis. Barack Obama, victor in the 13th State Senate District, encouraged NPers to join in his task forces on Voter Education and Voter Registration."

I had forgotten the plot of "It's a good day", very appropriate. Mummy just wished away to the cornfield anybody he didn't like or agreed with, kind of like the Obamatons (or tots) when it comes to listening to opposing viewpoints about the one. Nice!

No, closing right at the low range of the day is generally not a good sign. Portends more low in next session. Only good sign might be if it bounces tomorrow after testing the low twice today without breaking it. A good sign technically speaking is to close higher than open, or close at top of range for the day.

No argument from me there. Eric Rudolph has a special place in hell for leading people more stupid than him astray. The KKK/Nazi churches in Idaho are another example.
But, the venom of the left is aimed at mainstream Christian churches. I am sure there are many mosques in the US where the local imam teaches the followers to be be good members of the community and live a life where you put the needs of others around you before your own. But, there are a few bad ones, too. As for Judaism, look no further than the successors of Rabbi Kahne for excess and hate.
Turn the light on them all- but don't single out the Christians. Some of us will answer back.

A society without controls is anarchy. I don't understand why Christians are considered fair game by some. Is it because they are safe targets?
I didn't advocate a society without controls.... just pointing out that religions IMO are forms of control and nothing more. Also I am an equal opportunity dissenter....... I lump them all together.... Christian, Buddhist, Hindus, Judaism, Muslim, with the disclaimer that all are not equal when enforcing there brand of control.

You may not be old enough to remember the "Night of the Weenie Roast" in 1973, when brainwashed Oscar Mayer Weiner kids all across the country went on a rampage of killing and arson. "Roast the pigs!" they would cry, as they brandished their trademark bar-b-que forks. They had become convinced that America contained "unwholesome fillers", and needed to be "purged with fire".
Aha! That explains it. Alas, I am way old enough to have seen it , but somehow I missed "Night of the Weinie Roast." (Of course in '73 I was in grad school and couldn't afford a TV , so I missed a lot of stuff.)

If Obama wins, with a Democratic Congress and very likely appointments to the Supreme Court in his hands--America will be changed, rearranged, he will lead it and we will see it. The Republic will end as surely as Ceasar and Octavian did so long ago. Alternatively, if McCain wins, there will be an openly violent reaction, already planned, carefully orchestrated and targeted, complete with propaganda points and sympathizers. Far better, though, to have McCain, even with the fifth column actively seeking to bring down civil war upon our heads. Live free or die.

Bill Maher was getting booed on Leno last night. Hopefully he affects the voters to make themselves for Sen. McCain. The monologues always are critical of Gov. Palin disguised as humor. And amused of Sen. Obama disguised as humor. It does seem to be a bit of sexism disguised as political humor. People can't fathom that if they think Gov. Palin is unqualified to lead, then so is Sen. Obama.

Sure it is. McCain isn't a fire-breathing Righty. This is well-known. With McCain, you can get everything good that Obama is promising (it's not much) without any of the ruin his lack of experience, timidity, and interior incoherence would bring. Plus, you'd get the benefit of Palin's reformist zeal.
What's not to like? If you're a Dem, you should vote McCain.

Everything about Obama is a fraud and a bad joke. His pretension and narcisism would not be believable in a movie. He knows nothing. He has done nothing. He has disclosed almost nothing, not even his birth certificate, work records or college and law school transcripts. He deserves ridicule. He should never have made it as far as the Illinois Senate. The only things sustaining him are a core of fringe left wing extremists and a deeply bigoted group commited to racial grievance and hatred.

I find myself concerned, bewildered, and at times even terrified at the number of people who I know that are reasonably intelligent, well-educated, and not visibly suicidal, whose hatred of Bush and the Republicans has enabled them to embrace somebody whose lack of gravitas and whose far-left, racist, and destructive associations are right out there in the open.
Buzz - I had a discussion (ever-ongoing) with my best friend and co-worker today. She has always voted Democrat, never Republican. She has a somewhat more open mind this election as she does not like Obama's racism. She has been listening to the debates and trying to make up her mind. She somehow cannot see herself ever voting for a Republican, yet she does not like Obama.
Today, after last night's debate, she said this: "I like the policies of the Democratic Party, but when I look at Obama I don't trust him. When I look at McCain, I trust him but I don't like his policies."

She said she may not decide till she goes in the booth.
I think that's where a lot of people will decide. You've got your hand on the lever or touch screen or whatever. It's nobody there but you and God. Who do you trust?
I'm rarely undecided, but we recently had a special election to fill an unexpired school board term. One candidate was my neighbor and the other a guy I didn't know. They both had good backgrounds and some good ideas, and I honestly would have been okay with either one. On the way to the polling place, I saw the non-neighbor candidate standing on the corner with a big sign, waving at the passing cars with a big grin on his fate. It must have been 90 degrees out there. That earned him my vote. As it happens, he won.

re: #268 Quad Mocha Matti
Greetings to all the lizards from a long-time (unregistered) lurker (going on 6 years or so now) and now a proud new hatchling, attempting to survive in the dominion of Queen Christine (Gregoire), AKA, Washington State, where I am an infidel in the People's Republic of King County.
Having been on the emotional roller coaster of the last few weeks, I've been merely monitoring the comments of others and have been looking for something to elevate my mood. Thankfully, this video, for however brief a period of time, has been a humorous (yet also deeply disturbing in its accuracy) respite!
Having been a silent observer for so long, I am trying to restrain myself from making a rambling post with all the thoughts running through my head in my debut here on LGF, though I do hope to engage in the discussions at hand very soon!
Welcome aboard! :-)
My best bud, the E-5, was stationed at Ft. Lewis back in the '80s. His opinion is that Seattle is a wonderful town even if it's Chock Full O'Nuts (of the moonbat persuasion).
cheers

re: #342 SecondComing
This is great. The lyrics to this certainly is interesting. All praise to Obama and something about "nations all _____ as one"(nations all bleed as one?). No mention of America. Obama's gonna spread happiness and freedom. Because you know we don't have either in this country.
The part that chills me the most is the cute little girl expressionlessly singing, "We're gonna change things, we're gonna rearrange things."
Re-arrange? I'd like an explanation of what that particular lyric means!

I have a couple of friends on the fence, too. They sound pretty much the same as your friend.
A very troubling thing one of them said to me this week: she is afraid there will be unrest if Obama is not elected. She doesn't trust Obama.
So she's uneasy about him winning but also uneasy about him losing.

re: #338 mama winger
Buzz - I had a discussion (ever-ongoing) with my best friend and co-worker today. She has always voted Democrat, never Republican. She has a somewhat more open mind this election as she does not like Obama's racism. She has been listening to the debates and trying to make up her mind. She somehow cannot see herself ever voting for a Republican, yet she does not like Obama.
Today, after last night's debate, she said this: "I like the policies of the Democratic Party, but when I look at Obama I don't trust him. When I look at McCain, I trust him but I don't like his policies."
I think this is where the undecideds are.
And in that case, I think it always comes down to who you trust more than who you may agree with.

Oops, forgot one... a 1951 clip of 4-year old evangelist Marjoe Gortner.
Re Jesus Camp: I added those clips as a sucker punch for Obama's legion of indie-film hipster douchebags. Though I found Jesus Camp entertaining, I know it's one of those faux-intellectual documentaries that urbane grad school types use to scare each other and revel in their own superiority. It's their ultimate stereotype for us stump-toothed inbreds out in Nebraskansaw.
The typical Obama supporters I know probably wouldn't be offended by a comparison to North Koreans... but tying them to Jesus Campers makes them blow a gasket.

On the main subject of the thread, When I first saw the "ObamaKids" video, the first thing that came to my twisted mind was the opening of the 1967 movie, The Comedians, starring Richard Burton and based on the novel by Graham Greene. It was set in Haiti during the early days of Francois "Papa Doc" Duvalier's reign of terror, and described the descent into barbarism that occurred under his rule, with such pleasant groups as the Tonton Macoutes running around torturing people apparently just because "Papa Doc" woke up in the morning with a yen to see dead bodies lying in the street.
Where this connects to the video is that under the film's titles, the music is a group of children singing a song in praise to Duvalier, that was in fact required to be sung every morning in the country's schools. The first verse was, as best I can remember;
Duvalier!
Father of the Revolution!
President For Life!
Somehow, I suspect that Obama & Co. would totally fail to see the irony in this.
cheers

You may not be old enough to remember the "Night of the Weenie Roast" in 1973, when brainwashed Oscar Mayer Weiner kids all across the country went on a rampage of killing and arson. "Roast the pigs!" they would cry, as they brandished their trademark bar-b-que forks. They had become convinced that America contained "unwholesome fillers", and needed to be "purged with fire".

Yes, it does sound like blackmail.
I honestly thought that kind of talk would backfire on the Dems and send many undecided voters into the McCain camp.
But maybe threatening violence works. Maybe there are a lot of people like my friend who are leaning toward Obama because they are afraid it will tear the country apart if he is not elected.
At the very least if he is not elected there will be free stuff at Best Buy and Circuit City ala LA circa Rodney King.

re: #407 mama winger
I heard on Rush today that some Dems are starting to say things like "If Obama does not win, there will be civil unrest and violence in the streets". James Carville was one of those quoted.
Sounds like blackmail to me.
To risk getting whacked with Godwin's Law-
In 1933, during the election campaign in Germany, there was considerable violence in the streets of the country's major cities. Hitler promised that if he became Reichschancellor, he would put a stop to it. The Nazis took the majority of seats in the Reichstag, Hitler became Chancellor, and the violence ceased instantly. Hitler said "See? I told you I could do it!"
It wasn't hard, considering that it had been the Sturmabteilung, or "Brownshirts", who had been responsible for most of the "unrest". (They were just careful not to wear their uniforms while they were busy agitating.)
If Carville is saying this, my operating assumption would be that the plans are already set for either an Obama win or a defeat. The plans for the latter could be Kristallnacht on an immense scale.
/Yes, I do believe that this lot is that unstable
cheers

Well, I'm a product of the 'burbs of King County - right between Seattle and Tacoma, though the moonbats of sea town know no bounds as to their influence - and to top it off, Olympia is more of the same and then some.
Perhaps in some ways it's to my advantage that I'm a freelancer and work from home; that way I avoid going completely insane from the leftists' assaults, though I feel like I'm in someways hiding in a fallout shelter/impregnable bunker miles beneath the surface waiting for the time when it's safe to re-emerge, when I can interact with other rational minded people who are actually for the country as it was meant to be, not the one that a disturbingly increasing number of people feel should be like all the other failed systems...
It's a little pathetic to feel such elation when you do encounter fellow conservatives here in WA who are adrift in the sea of the (criminally) insane...even more so when you find them as co-workers at overwhelmingly liberal not-for-profit institutions such as museums, etc.
But enough already! It's time for a break - to spend some quality time with a couple of my favorite four-legged 'sisters' by walking and tossing the ol' boomerang around at the local park...later lizards

Jerome Corsi was on a radio interview with Hannity - detailing his trip to Kenya and subsequent arrest to prevent him from holding a press conference while there. The government didn't want him talking about Obama and Odinga. Even though there were no charges to file against him (his visa was approved) they kept him and his press agent sequestered until they could put him on a plane. When he boarded the plane, the armed guard told him "Don't come back - I'll see you in hell."
Corsi claims he has emails between Obama and Odinga in which Obama advises Odinga on campaign strategy. Odinga is the leader that caused all the killing of almost an entire tribe in Kenya.

Depends on how verifiable these documents are. If they can be matched up to actual events independantly and lead to other documents that can be verified as real... we might have something.
On the other hand, if they turn out to be demonstrably too easily fake-able, like that "throbbing memo," it'll blow up in a different way.

Good link on Greene. I wasn't aware of his intel work.
Len Deighton, the author of the Man from Burnley aka "Harry Palmer"* spy novels, was also a one-time intelligence officer.
* "Palmer" is the name given to Deighton's character in the three movies based on his novels starring Michael Caine- The IPCRESS File (1965), Funeral In Berlin (1966- best of the lot, IMHO), and The Billion Dollar Brain (1967). In the novels, the main character, who tells the story in the first person, is never named.

Depends on how verifiable these documents are. If they can be matched up to actual events independantly and lead to other documents that can be verified as real... we might have something.
On the other hand, if they turn out to be demonstrably too easily fake-able, like that "throbbing memo," it'll blow up in a different way.
I'm picturing emails between messiah08@hotmail.com and BigManO@yahoo.com.

Well, thant's funny, since he decided to believe in it because he researched it. Circular reasoning. He works for World Net Daily, which is a sort of hit and miss site, sometimes they are spot on, sometimes thier reporting is very suspect.
I take everything from Corsi with a grain of salt.
Like I said , I am not defending him, but he did disavow the troofer stuff. Point of clarifiction, he reserched it & disputed it.

If it's really from the Internet Archive, it has some credibility. I'm disappointed that Ace even has a link to Larry Johnson on his site, because Larry has ZERO credibility.
While researching old archives on the net yesterday I posted the link to the article from the New Party .......... the link on Ace may come from Larry Johnson but the facts are the facts. The connection between the New Party and Obama is fact it comes from the New Party website which has been scrubbed from google but is still in the archives of google.

What is the New Party? One of the articles I have been digging out of google is about New Party Members winning elections this is old but lists Obama as a member of the New Party having won an election:

New Party members and supported candidates won 16 of 23 races, including an at-large race for the Little Rock, Ark., City Council, a seat on the county board for Little Rock and the school board for Prince George's County, Md. Chicago is sending the first New Party member to Congress, as Danny Davis, who ran as a Democrat, won an overwhelming 85% victory. Great work by Iowahawk on the clips-video, but I might've included a few segments from Hair (particularly the Communion with acid tabs), even though that obviously involved young adults and not little kids or teens.
Also, come to think of it, the Von Trapp children goose-stepping into formation in response to the Captain's whistle signals -- if Julie Andrews thought it was creepy, that's good enough for me.

I also thought of the North Korean music pageant from "Team America," although the comedy there was really more about the faux Korean lyrics set to horrible Casio-keyboard disco (♪ Ping-pong Kim Jong Il, chow-pow bing !♫), and wouldn't have been as funny with the Obama song dubbed over.

There is no question there is a link between Odinga and Obama, and an alliance there. In fact, I saw in the CNN transcript of his remarks when in Kenya, that Obama referred to the country as "home".
If anyone wants to see that, I'll dig it up and link you.

Help from Obama’s friends
Dear Tony:
I'm selling my 3-bedroom split level in the southwest suburbs next year, and I was thinking about a complete kitchen remodel before putting it on the market. I have bids from three contractors ranging from $26,000 to $35,000. Normally kitchen and bath remodeling is supposed to pay for itself, but with the market soft as it is I'm worried that it'll end up a losing deal. What do you recommend?
Judy in Naperville
Dear Judy:
hey whatta ya wanna do sometheen stupid like dat, hokay? Now you leesin to your buddy Tony, hokay. Tony gotta cousin back in Syria, he gots lotsa money. Tony gonna send you a plain brown package, you know, a leetle geeft. Watta want you to do ees go down dere to dat zoning commeeshion and pass around some of dat Tony cash, and say, 'hokay, buddies, Judy gonna build her a 200 unit Section 8 dere on my property.' I get my cousin Mansour build you nice complex wit da grant money. Poorty soon dems HUD checks gonna be rolling right in, and all yous gotsa do is send ol' Tony da money back in anodder package, den yous go off to Vegas. I do believe there were scenes from Jesus Camp in that clip. I'm with you, Walter L. -- indoctrinating kids into any kid of "bots" is just plain creepy and immoral.
