Ugly Misogyny at the Official Obama Blog Site

Politics | Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 2:57:50 pm PDT

The media keep hammering away at the “ugly incidents” at McCain-Palin rallies, but oddly they fail to notice stuff like this at the official Barack Obama blog site: Barack Obama and Joe Biden: The Change We Need | Rhiannon-Marie Volpe.

This is a Google cache link, because the picture of the disgusting T-shirt has already been tossed down the memory hole. If a guy with a monkey doll gets national coverage, why doesn’t this?

I love how the same people who have been saying every horrible thing they can think of about Bush for the last 8 years are all of a sudden offended by a couple comments (admittedly disgusting) about Obama.

They were telling us that the more disgusting of claims against our troops, or our President, or the Republicans the more "patriotic" they were.

Racism. That's all this campaign is about, according to the MSM.
You can say the worst possible things about McCain and Palin, but criticize 0bama's policies, and you must be a racist, according to the MSM and the 0bama campaign (same thing, anyway).

OFF TOPIC, BUT PLEASE READ (CHARLES TOO)

Our voter booklets in Jefferson County has amendment 3a up for vote. It is a mill levy to raise property taxes for schools, and it goes around our TABOR act, which is a law that prevents the state from raising taxes in certain situations.

Here is some quotes from the vote "yes" summary in the voters guide. It was written by Thomas Grahm of Avarda Colorado.

This is not a joke. (I have the voters booklet in my grubby little hands)

"Senior citizens with fixed incomes are hard-pressed to shoulder increases in property tax. These people should recognize that their reduced productivity calls for them to be replaced by the youth of our nation."

"This tax increase furthers the goals of our teacher unions. It is consistent with a presidential candidate's promise for change and hope for progress toward the socialist utopia through education.

Has she swindled the government out of millions? NO
Contributed to the financial collapse of world markets? NO
Associated with known terrorists? NO
Friends with a racist for over 20 years? NO
Funded a community activist group responsible for voter fraud? NO

53 Outrider  Mon, Oct 13, 2008 3:11:22pm

We are seeing a minor tip on a very large iceberg. You can't go to any Democrat site or gathering of new Democrats without seeing stuff like this and worse, and still many of them will jump up and protest the opposing side does the same.

This is hypocrisy pure and simple. It has been evident for quite some time in the media, it is only natural it should be reflected in day to day lives.

It is merely the dumbing down of America being reflected, a dumbing down in which intelligent thoughts can not be properly expressed

104 Archimedes  Mon, Oct 13, 2008 3:20:26pm

As some of you know I've been having a discussion with this wacked out Obama supporter. He accused me of being a racist, despite the fact that we were discussing the economic problems, and race wasn't part of the discussion.

I then tried to explain to him that my fundamental position was that I'm a supporter of individual rights, and this is why I disagree with both sides, although clearly I disagree with Obama much more. So, he then sent the following ridiculous email:

rush once told a black caller to "take that bone out of your nose"

eff you and all your racist friends

on november 5, we will be forming education squads...picking up you and all yout buddies and shipping you to gitmo

cya

So, I responded to him with the following:

To his first point:

Rush isn't a racist and I don't have racist friends. But Obama was a member of racist church for some twenty years.

You clearly are indifferent to racism.

To his second point:

Fantasizing the Marxist dream, I see. Yes, I'm well aware this is the direction you want to take the country in. You must be a beautiful person for a totalitarian, absolute-state wacko.

So now you see why I oppose Obama.

How can anyone not oppose that?

So, what is so scary about Sarah Palin?

Karl Marx had the election all sewn up, until Governor Palin came along. That's what's so scary about Sarah Palin. It's not just the person, it's that she represents such a wide cross-section of our traditional United States of America. We were ready for the wake-up call, but didn't know just how ready until she came along.

Sarah Palin's appearance on the national scene just gave the Karl Marx movement a swift kick in the balls, and Comrade Karl's minions don't have the slightest clue on how to be graceful about it.

Does anyone here have any sway with the McCain campaign?

Today I heard someone ask a question for Obama that I think could have the potential of turning the election around.

The question is:

"Would you, Barrack Obama have kicked off a campaign or sat on a board with an unrepentant abortion clinic bomber?

Whatever his answer or non answer, even if he was Socrates, I don't think he could win on that point.

Several of those swing states are very pro-life.

McCain needs to ask the question.

Yet we have so called "conservatives" giving our enemies ammo to use against us. This election will determine the face of this country for years to come, yet they run their little mouths and deliver snide little sound bites to our enemies in the MSM just like this is a run of the mill election. Oh yes, they're oh so damned intelligent, yet they can't seem to grasp the importance of what is at stake.

Barack Obama told a tax-burdened plumber over the weekend that his economic philosophy is to "spread the wealth around" -- a comment that may only draw fire from riled-up John McCain supporters who have taken to calling Obama a "socialist" at the Republican's rallies.

Obama made the remark, caught on camera, after fielding some tough questions from the plumber Sunday in Ohio, where the Democratic candidate canvassed neighborhoods and encouraged residents to vote early.

"Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?" the plumber asked, complaining that he was being taxed "more and more for fulfilling the American dream."

"It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success too," Obama responded. "My attitude is that if the economy's good for folks from the bottom up, it's gonna be good for everybody ... I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."
I am voting for Bambi,

I liken it to the way some atheists react to Christians. Most atheists are pretty live and let live, they just disagree with believers. Then there are those who turn it into a profession, file lawsuits, organize rallies and try to eliminate all religion from public life.

What we're witnessing is a meltdown on the side of the Democrat party... The offensive T-shirt/"get in their face" sort of thing is in the "you really didn't have to go there" territory of civil behavior and really is on the border of "fighting words" imnsho...
Hopefully this will just result in more and more folks rethinking and abandoning the Democrackpipe party this year...

For years, the socialistic vile MSM has preached hate and intolerance. Kill Bush. Bush is stupid. blah-blah-blah. Conservatives are evil, money-loving capitalists. They have spread the poison far and wide. The MSM is like the barrel on a gun - they point at what to hate. Brainwashed the masses.
Now, they've switched their putrid aim directly toward Gov. Palin.

Stand Up and Fight [Peter Kirsanow]

Sincerely glad to hear your correspondent says people were "jazzed" at the Virginia Beach rally. How much more jazzed might they have been if the "stand up and fight" litany had included references to ACORN, Ayers, Born Alive and Wright? Or fighting against smearing conservatives, Republicans and good folks in flyover country as racists ? Why are conservatives only allowed to fight with handcuffs on?

When these guys and gals wear these shirts, people on the street are likely to either be amused (lefties) or appalled (righties). I would bet that few people would walk up to them and demand that they take them off because they're offensive, whatever one's view of Palin.

That, my friends, is what they're counting on. These t-shirts are the exact equivalents of Stalinist architecture: they are designed to subjugate dissent by appalling it, embarrassing it, and forcing it to stifle itself.

Am I overanalyzing? Aren't they just giggling and being a**holes?

Being an a**hole with impunity in public is the same thing as simply asserting power. It's a brownshirt tactic, common to all totalitarians.

That's what this is about.

325 Pawn of the Oppressor  Mon, Oct 13, 2008 4:07:01pm

Two thoughts, both tangentially related to PDS:

1. About the "kill him" thing at the rally the other day, which is now being pimped among Dem commenters as having been directed at The Messiah. We know it's bullshit, but here's WHY it's Bullshit - Because if it had been directed at Obama (and not at Ayers), and you were the intrepid reporter who overheard it, would you:

A. Calmly make a note of it ("Guy yells KILL HIM - Lynch mob? Klan Rally? Need good angle here") and continue your reportinating, or

B. Get the Secret Service on the horn, tell them a guy in the crowd was threatening to kill Obama, and hopefully cause a major disruption which will be photographed for all to see (and give you front-page material!), embarassing McCain/Palin in the most public way imaginable, as this assclown gets dragged out in cuffs? "Rally Disrupted By Arrest As Republican Threatens Obama's Life", can you imagine that as a headline?

And we are to believe that this reporter, almost certainly in the tank for Messiah Zero, would pick "A". Right. If anybody even yelled "kill him", clearly it was directed at Ayers.

2. PDS shirts. From the look of the dorks wearing the shirts, I'd guess they're college age. Does anybody else remember feeling intellectually bulletproof in their early 20's? You know that phase you go through, when you're sure you know everything, and you wear your ignorance on your sleeve because you're too stupid to realize that you're mistaken about the size of your own brain? You're so SURE you've got it all figured out... You're in college, man! You're so smart! You're on your own and doing cool stuff! You're young, you're hip! You don't know shit. Wait, what? Yes, that's right, your first working theory on the ways of the world is just that, a first working theory, and you're going to find out REAL soon now that you don't actually know a damned thing, if you're smart enough to be introspective.

There's good reason why Troofers, rabid Obamatons, and other forms of protester are usually in their early 20s.

We ask: “What is wrong with these people?”

We know the answer. they are either under or over educated. They are the children of other children who did not grow up. They are the people who never had to accept a mistake they made or had to be accountable to anyone for anything. They are the people who never had limits imposed on them nor were they told ‘no’ to something they wanted.

They are the people who believe what other people tell them to believe without asking for facts or asking critical questions. These are the people who could never bear being wrong about something, anything and having to change or discard their convictions in light of new and challenging evidence.

These are the people whose sense of self — their narcissism — became malignant when they could not separate from the ‘other’ with a healthy dose of pain and suffering … the wisdom of that event was forever lost to them. Instead, they allowed the pain to a defining trait, a reason to be miserable and self-absorbed.

These are the people who never learned how to love life, because they never learned how to love the other and love themselves with a healthy balance of each. They hate life, they hate themselves, they hate you. To them, life is unfair, there is no God or good, no evil except the evil in their hearts that they project on to others without realizing it. And keep in mind this does not account for all agnostics or atheists — I know there exist many non-believers who simply choose a different vehicle to find meaning and truth; men and women who are upstanding, righteous people -- loyal Americans who do not count themselves amongst the state-obsessed, death-worshiping minions.

These are the people who must be slapped down hard, constantly and without remorse or mercy. It is coming down to the wire, I fear; us or them. I know which side I have chosen.

No, it is not okay for someone to use the C word .....whether they are talking to another woman or not ...... as a woman ..... I feel that is the worst thing you can say ...... you might think it is okay for women to use it to each other ..... you would be speaking for yourself .....

It is the ugliest of words. I'm a woman, and I've never heard women use this term among themselves. It is designed to do one thing--put an uppity woman in her place, to reduce her to a piece of meat. Anyone with an XX chromosome who uses the term to refer to another woman loses the right to call herself "feminist," plain and simple. Anyone with an XY chromosome who uses it shouldn't complain about getting a swift kick in the nads.

This goes beyond dirty politics. This goes beyond personal attacks. This is a heinous breach of decorum and such people should not be tolerated in civil society.

Now, that said, FUCK YOU, Rhiannon-Marie Volpe.

Oh, but Mandy, they're considered brave, and talkers of truth to power. In other words, blithering imbeciles with no sense of decency. These are Obama's people. These are the anti-Americans of the LLL.

"Social justice" is a euphemism for welfare, reverse discrimination, high taxes on the wealthy, and anything else that punishes whitey.

No Wendya, I have not spent much time around them since my days at Antioch College in the late 70s. But I've since then run into my fair share, but luckily, the rabid, screed screaming, victimhood pushers were few and far between.

And forgive me for being a bit obtuse, but is the 'term' you refer to the ugly one on that T-shirt, or the word 'feminist'?

Not only indefensible, it is laughable if not out right stupid. And like so much in the leftist canon, it is the complete reverse of what it sounds like. 'Social justice' is inherently, by its definition, unjust.

Absolutely, I mean this is because they judge people as groups. How profoundly ridiculous, since we act as individuals. So, this is profoundly unjust. What do my actions have to do with the actions of a Hitler, or a Newton, for that matter? None, except that I do try to emulate Newton in certain areas, though not with the level of success I'd have hoped. :)

363 Becca_T  Mon, Oct 13, 2008 4:42:52pm

You know, I used to be a registered Dem. Not a true-blue Dem, but a low-info, too busy with work, vote with economy kind of person that would split the ticket depending on the person.

This started to change when I got a whiff of the stench anti-semitism on the left, my distaste grew more with the "Kill Bush" hysteria and the final absolute break has been the completely unhinged misogyny and hatred on display regarding Palin. And according to Obama's media pals and the gilded punditry, racism is bad, bad, bad (and race-baiting good) but hating on women is just fine. Don't even get me started on so-called liberal women and their rank hypocrisy - grrrr.

Now, I don't believe I will ever vote for a Dem again, not even as a dog catcher - dogs are too good for them.

Yeah I know yard signs is not the best indicator of an election, but what i can tell you is that the McCain/Palin signs are comiing out of the woodwork around here. in SW Ohio

Case in Point, I am diabetic and have to walk 10,000 steps a day per my doctor, I got hurt 17 days ago and had to sit things out while I healed up. The neighborhood next to us has some great walking trails and only 1 home among the 100's there had one yard sign and it was for Obama. The way the news was being reported you would think every yeard in Ohio had an Obama sign

NOPE!

I went back walking yesterday and we counted 27 yard signs, of which 3 were for Obama. In Addition, there is now 11 Yard signs in my subdivision, of which 1 is Obama, that one Obama has been up all year.

Of course this was yesterday, didnt get back out today.

Not for nuttin’ that tee shirt is vulgar and obscene. Can you even imagine wearing one that said, “Obama is the n-word?” Both would be viscously hateful. Three months ago no leftist or Dem ever even heard of Sarah Palin, but now she’s fair game for hatefulness. I fear that the Obama may win the election. It will be because there’s so many sheeple out there who are filled with hatefulness of everything that doesn’t satisfy their instant gratification, their desire to suck upon the gubmint mammary, and their ignorance. What the hell is the Obama going to do to rein those folks in and satisfy their lust for anger, vindictiveness, viciousness, and lack of character? Beats me, but I’m sure he knows his base. I’m getting to be a fairly old lady, but never did I segregate myself or separate myself based upon others’ race, gender, etc. But I do separate myself proudly from those of rotten character. Hopefully, if the Obama becomes POTUS, his reign will be short and he can go down in the annals of history as the nation’s worst.

Look at who wore these shirts. Ever have a toddler say things that were inappropriate? If you laughed you got more of the inappropriate behavior. If you ignored it the toddler usually stopped it. Look at these people doing it just for the shock value that words like f*ck used to have. They did it for the shock value and not much else. Ignoring them means they will did deeper to get something that is even more repugnant and offensive.

I just signed up for more info.

I did not like it when people made nasty comments about Hillary Clinton's looks, and I what Palin is having to endure is 100 times worse.

The left has been using black Americans as tools for years, and now we see how little they truly care about women. All along, women have been nothing but props.

If the left believes in respect for women and women's rights, they have a funny way of showing it.

Late to the thread but I saw something like this on a PUMA site. One of the PUMA's had attended a McCain/Palin rally in PA and she posted a pic of 4 assholes who posed for her, so proud were they, wearing shirts bearing the same sentiment. Their shirts appear to be homemade (imagine the fun they had making them on Marxist Family Craft Night; such a nice change of pace from making 'Bush is Hitler' fanny packs and tote bags). The happy group included 3 men, who would have been castrated on the spot if the shirt had HRC's name instead of Palin's, and 1 woman. Oh, we've come a long way, baby.

Guess the O camp figured people were getting tired of his verbal wet fart of a slogan "Change we can believe in" and decided to switch to something that plays to the intellectual level of his base.

When somebody with no connection to the McCain campaign carries a monkey, there is an outrage THAT IS DIRECTED NOT AT THE PERSON WHO CARRIED THE MONKEY BUT AT JOHN MCCAIN. But when the candidate Barack Obama himself uses the expression "lipstick on a pig" -- obviously a reference to Gov. Sarah Palin who has used "lipstick" as a trade-mark -- the MSM just shrug it off.

What Obama's associates do, may not be tied to Obama. What Obama's partner, Bill Ayers, does, may not be tied to Obama. What Obama himself says, may not be tied to Obama. But if some stranger who is not in any way related to the McCain campaign does something, it's the McCain campaign that comes under fire.

Also, Obama has said that McCain and Bush are "tied at the hip" because they are of the same political party. But don't you dare compare Obama with his friend, mentor, and partner the unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers, let alone say that they are "tied at the hip."

There is an enormous double standard here!

At this point, I don't know what the right thing to do is. Anything that McCain/Palin says is twisted and ridiculed and spread in almost every newspaper and on most TV channels.
Maybe McCain shoud ignore Bambi altogether. Never mention his name. Act as if no one (Zero) is running against him. Just say that the liberal/progressives are socialists. That they have tried to ruin our country and only he can save us. "I'm the ONE that can return our Country to it's glory."

in a way, I am saying that, but you really refined it

I have been saying, run against the democrat/media party

Not really. Although private property owners can certainly ask you to leave. I've seen parents bringing their children to the medical clinic wearing t-shirts emblazoned with marijuana leaves and other inappropriate attire and language for an establishment geared around children.

Freedom of speech is pretty much everywhere unless you happen to come across a local politician with panties that tend to creep. I've seen that.

re: #411 Megawatt

Thanks for that reply, I guess like the lefties here it is freedom of speech as long as it does not offend them. Here we at least have a charge called 'offensive behavior' or a general cover of 'breach of the peace' the last being at old common law and now legislated in some states and territories.

regards JD
