McCain fumbled the ball a bit on Ayers, but he hit 0-bama pretty hard on education, taxes, spending, energy.

Obama stumbed, swung and missed.

The format really helped here. . .

38 mjbrutus  Wed, Oct 15, 2008 7:38:08pm

Thank you Johnnie Mac!

Not only did you shine tonight, but you forced the MSM to take a genuine look at O'bambam's ties to Ayers and especially ACORN. With ACORN in the headlines every single day lately, that is gonna leave a mark.

39 doppelganglander  Wed, Oct 15, 2008 7:38:08pm

I really believe that the McCain camp has got to come out with an ad that shows all of Obama's horrible associations - from childhood to now
(Davis, Ayers, Wright, Pflegler, Odinga, etc). There is so much information there that the average person does not know that I think it would really make a difference.

He listened to Obama talk about his tax plan, when Obama said he was going to tax people to help people. Bibi looked at me and said- are people really falling for that? How is taking your money and giving it to others helping anyone but him?

I think I may be raising an Independent:)

Autism jokes nothwithstanding, thank you lizards for helping me through this- in my heart I know leaving the Democratic party was the rifht thing to do, unlike Obama, I will be facing the music for my "associations" tomorrow with my union steward, to assess my standing on the "important issues"

McCain put the "Ayers and his living room" and the "What did you know about ACORN, and when did you know it?" memes out there.

That may hurt Obama as people start asking "what the f***is going on?"

I monitor certain political websites' tracking facilities, and it appears web searches on ACORN and voter fraud (as seen in the search engine referrer queries) have been through the roof the past few days.

It's utterly useless to expect the media to proclaim that McCain won this debate, that will never happen.

But the most important two things that McCain needed to do tonight he did masterfully. He provide sharp contrast of nanny big goverment versus a spending-conscious, tax-cutting approach the solving our current problems of overspending combined with entitlement promises. And he successfuly revealed Obama as a far-left liberal whose judgement should be an important issue in this critical election.

The purpose was to plant the seed of doubt about Obama as a true leader for the most powerful country on the planet. Everything else was simply window dressing.

He succeeded very well. All the pundit chatter is just talking head white noise.

I thought McCain started out a little weak but then took off and hit almost all of the issues that were important to voters. Toward the end it looked like Obama was almost shrinking in his chair when McCain hammered home his association with Ayers, Acorn and company.

He also did well making Obama look clueless in regards to trade with Columbia and the remark about Canada/NAFTA was a nice touch. I think McCain was fantastic, I only wish his final statement was a little stronger. I was out of the room for that so didn't hear if he asked people to vote for him.

I watched the Luntz segment, that bit about Obama winning by show of hands was bullshit. He asked who thought Obama won and I watched closely, it was probably 8 out of 30. he didn't even ask how many thought McCain won and immediately declared the One the winner! What horseshit that was. When he then interviewed some of that crowd of dunces most of them had trouble forming a complete sentence. I really think the so called independent undecideds are publicity seekers and dems who are run through the seminar to be able to fool Luntz, which is probably not too hard.

Most of the panel thought Obama won...the focus group thought Obama won ans then Krauthammer just came on and declared Obama the winner.

230 shanester  Wed, Oct 15, 2008 8:00:41pm

Johnnie won, by far (although he didn't go far enough).

However, as usual, the MSM (and even Fox -- I'm talking to YOU Krauthammer...) since Obama wasn't knocked out, he wins.

I am sure "Sugar" Shane and most boxers agree that McCain won, but somehow, the MSM will say Obama did.

Ho hum.

237 greensbuickfarm  Wed, Oct 15, 2008 8:04:19pm

OK, so which debate were he commentators watching? BHO was calm and collected? Sorry, but his 'tells' were all over the place. The smirk, the snarky laughs and the infamous 'Listen..'

Everytime I hear that, it reminds me of someone I once knew that always used that as a way to put you down when you were discussing something, implying that 'if you would only listen to me, you would understnad the truth'.

I have long thought that McCain was employing the rope a dope. Enough talking points tonight, coupled with Joe the Plumber that McCain ought to gain some serious ground.

I think everyone can relate to Joe (anyone know which Local he belongs to?)--employee, employer, student, CEO.

BTW, a friend of mine is a self-made BILLIONAIRE. His company employs thousands of people. He's worth more than Oprah. Wonder how big his company would be today if he'd been told that once you work hard, build your company, put people on the payroll--you'll be asked to spread the wealth around.

239 mudhen  Wed, Oct 15, 2008 8:04:54pm

The debate might have come off differently if you listened on radio... that's what I did. I don't feel that McCain won, at least not with people who are just now paying attention. If you listened as an average person would (who doesn't know how Obama lied the whole time), then McCain's explanations of his policies were not as appealing as Obama's. The populist lies work, folks. Obama is a bitter pill, coated with sugar. America won't know what it swallowed until Obama is in office, and starts to resculpt the landscape into something that none of us will recognize.
When Hillary was running, I swore that I would quit my job and work endlessly to make sure that she wasn't elected. Who knew that her opponent would make her look like a centrist. Geesh.
Maybe on TV, where you could see the candidates reactions to each other, maybe there your optimism about McCain is justified. But without the visuals, and if you don't know all of the policy and background, Obama was more convincing, more compelling. If everyone paid as much attention to the details as we do, Obama would never have become the Democratic candidate. But they don't, and that's a fact. It is going to take something more, to push McCain over the finish line first. Let's hope that happens.

240 yesandno  Wed, Oct 15, 2008 8:04:55pm

The debates are ho-hum tired. Both recite their handlers rhetoric - Obama just promises a big slice of pie with everything on it - McCain won't let anyone ruffle his feathers and comes off as out of step - If Obama sails into the office on his own fumes it will be quite a feat for him to pull that pie in the sky out of his ass and serve it all up to the American public - serve all the college kids their freebies sucked off the blood sweat and tears of hard working Americans. I already cast my vote for McCain - I won't vote socialist.

Obama was full of his usual sh*t again. McCain had the perfect opportunity to call BO's "95% get a tax cut" a load of crap, since 40% of workers don't pay any income taxes now.

John also didn't take the opportunity to hammer BO on his judgement and barely spoke about tying BO to Nancy "the Dark Sith Lord" Pelosi and Harry "ahole" Reid.

251 Aussie Infidel  Wed, Oct 15, 2008 8:07:15pm

There are two angles in debates. The issues and Mc Cain won. Then there is the perception, telegenic characteristics and general tenor. McCain looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights and Obama looked cool and composed. Perhaps a little too composed and self satisfied for some but he clearly won the 'look' part of the debate. Overall I'd have to give it to Obama from an objective standpoint. The camps are clearly delineated so this is purely about the swing voters and independents. Republicans are going to vote for McCain because Obama scares the shit out of them and rightly so. The Democrats are entranced with the phenomenon of Obama to the point that if he machine gunned a kindergarten full of babies they'd still vote for him.

So it comes down as always to the swinging middle. Unfortunately McCain didn't do anywhere near enough the claw back his current poll deficit. He is looking like a loser more and more and the Obamination is looking presidential... damnit!

I fear for the US economy with the possibility of an Obama administration and by association my nation's economy will move from deep recession to deep depression. This afternoon I purchased $150,000 in gold as a start, in my preparation for weathering the next decade of economic storms. Unfortunately i have $3 million invested in property that is too illiquid to easily convert into liquid and easily moveable assets. My share portfolio will be converted to cash and gold tomorrow. My kids mortgages will be stretched by the coming downturn and one only hopes that they keep their jobs.

All very sad really. Couldn't amongst 150 million conservative or centerist Americans could one not find a telegenic candidate who looked good on TV, had a solid handle on policy and exhibited those attitudes and morals that represent the core values of the conservative polity? Was that too much to ask really?

Now you guys condemn not only yourselves to financial, social and moral hazard but you drag the rest of us along as collateral damage!

Freak Out!

"Barack Obama riffs on his media image in an interview for the New York Times Magazine, which quotes him as suggesting FOX News has cost him a few points in the polls.

The interview with reporter Matt Bai, to be published Sunday, features the Democratic presidential candidate feeling lamenting a "media narrative" that has pigeon-holed him as a liberal stereotype.

"I am convinced that if there were no Fox News, I might be two or three points higher in the polls," Obama says in the article. "If I were watching Fox News, I wouldn't vote for me, right? Because the way I'm portrayed 24/7 is as a freak!"

He continues that he is being typecast as "the latte-sipping, New York Times-reading, Volvo-driving, no-gun-owning, effet, politically correct, arrogant liberal. Who wants somebody like that?"

Obama's reference to his poll numbers comes at a time when he has opened up a commanding lead over his rival, John McCain, in national polls, as well as in several battleground states. A recent New York Times poll puts Obama ahead by 14 percentage points.

In the New York Times Magazine article, Obama tries to explain a comment he made during his primary race against Hillary Clinton, during which he was quoted as saying to an audience in San Francisco that some working class voters "cling to guns or religion" in response to economic woes.

Obama calls that comment "my biggest boneheaded move," adding that his point was to say that "these voters have a right to be frustrated" and their concerns shouldn't be ignored."

I really believe that the McCain camp has got to come out with an ad that shows all of Obama's horrible associations - from childhood to now
(Davis, Ayers, Wright, Pflegler, Odinga, etc). There is so much information there that the average person does not know that I think it would really make a difference.

Absolutely. The knock out punch he needs. If presented as more than just associations, but rather as allies as Thomas Sowell put so well today, McCain should define Obama on his core ideology. I'm tired of him just saying "he'll raise your taxes". Paint him for what he truly is. A marxist, socialist with a scary cast of characters who brought him to power.

Finally, I have met so many people the last few days who are asking me about Obama and Ayers. They had heard nothing in MSM until recent days. Clueless.

The problem is, that he isn't talking about that enough. And people want the economy fixed, they really don't care who did it. They should, but they don't. McCain should have pressed harder on so many things. The tax "cuts" for people who don't pay taxes, for instance. And McCain sounded flat when Obama claimed that there would be no penalty for small businesses who don't supply health care. Sounded like he didn't read the O policy well enough. Obama probably pulled that out of his butt just tonight, but he caught McCain flat. Don't you wish that McCain was as able to present his side, as many of our bloggers are?

Joe the Plumber is the key to what Obama is all about.

Obama wants this guy to work 10-12 hours per day to succeed so that Obama can give his money to people who don't work hard in the slightest.

Marxists/Socialists like Obama believe that most things stay exactly the same when changing to a socialist system. Obama thinks that people like Joe would keep working 10-12 hours to donate the fruits of his labor to others.

Obama thinks that all the people who have the incentives to work hard now wouldn't lose them if their money was given to people who aren't working hard.

What Obama's socialism would say to Americans is this:

1. People who aren't successful now shouldn't bother trying to work hard because they're going to get other people's money anyway. (Thus, those who don't succeed will be rewarded for it.)

2. People who are successful and work hard shouldn't bother because their money is going to be given to other people. (Thus, those who DO succeed will be punished for it.)

Some people talk about a system where doctors trade their services for food from farmers and everyone is happy. Who in their right mind would spend 10 years in college, medical school, and internship (not to mention several additional years as residents) in exchange for some fruit or potatoes?

Competition works. Striving for a better life works.

Social engineering and redistributing wealth DO NOT WORK.

This is one of the messages that has to hit Obambi between the eyes in the next three weeks.

As an example of 'discriminatory policy', Mr Azad has talked of access to employment. The French government is fully aware that in some areas of the country or that in some segments of the population, people face more difficulties in finding a job. For instance, young people (below the age of 25), seniors (above 55), or immigrants living in suburbs have a higher rate of unemployment than other French people. In 2005, youth of some suburbs expressed violently their anger: it was not, as Mr Azad seems to say, a 'Muslim riot'; it had nothing to do with religion and all to do with living conditions and welfare.

America is not ready for a major LIB in the White House. All these polls with 35% Repubs and 46% Dems sampled are major league B.S.

On election day it will be more like 43% Repubs 45% Dems and the remaining 12% "Independents" ( you know, mostly people who don't pay attention until November 1st) will not vote for the most liberal man in the U.S. Senate.

Fox commentators are not predisposed to McCain. His loyalty conservatives a demonstrated by his bipartisan approaches while seemingly pragmatic are perceived as fouls in a polarized Congress. Their reaction is not surprising, but the independents should be polling higher for him.

The one time that I think Obama told a bald face lie was when he attempted to deny his vote on the infanticide bill. He said it was not true. These things are a matter of public record, and are not subject to spin.

The "one time"? What about denying that his political career started at Ayers' house? It seemed like there were quite a number that were just outright lies tonight, not just "spin", or "Obama eloquence".

299 rumcrook  Wed, Oct 15, 2008 8:40:38pm

the problem is, as I see it, obama comes off as a plausible president to most reasonable people who dont follow it all to closely, and they mostly want to beleive the best of people so they cant beleive that obama really surrounded himself thru most of his career with people who actively hate america. so on that score he now has been elevated to presidential.

How can we ever win when they control the MSM? I know about blogs and other alternative media, but the truth is that millions of people in this country get their news from the MSM. re: #299 rumcrook

McCain went a little easy on Obama with Ayers, but frankly, that isn't an issue that lends itself to strong attack during a debate.

It takes a long time to go over Ayers history and Obama's history with the guy, and quick sound bites don't cut it. If McCain really had the "goods" and could prove that (as alleged) Ayers actually babysat Obama's kids or ghostwrote his book, that would be something else, but he doesn't have them.

This is an issue that SHOULD have been vetted MONTHS ago by the media, but they're just carrying water for Obama.

But tonight I thought he did wonderfully, he made me want to vote for him again. We keep in touch with our kids by phone during the debates. They and their spouses also thought he did great. So I agree with those who don't understand the reaction of the media, especially the people at Fox. It looks like Fred and Bill truly are the "Beltway Boys".

309 pittrader1988  Wed, Oct 15, 2008 8:49:48pm

If the election turns on Joe, McCain has a good shot.

If the election battlefront remains the same-Obama will win.

McCain is uneasy when he speaks about the economy. He hasn't mastered it. Obama is a lawyer-they can talk about anything and sound great. McCain sounds good when he talks about the foreign policy, free trade, abortion. Things he is confident in and understands.

does the election turn on the economy? McCain will lose if its on the economy, even though he has the correct plan.

314 boiledwombat  Wed, Oct 15, 2008 8:54:07pm

I was astonished to hear Obama sounding like a moderate Republican at various times during the debate. He can be a very convincing actor when he gets his lines right - and a big part of the electorate wants to believe that he will fix whatever they think is wrong with the country.

It is clear to me that Obama can lie without the slightest hesitation and is completely unaffected by rebuttal or self-contradiction. He is supremely eloquent when speaking from a prepared script or talking points. It is only when he deviates that he stumbles badly and shows how little he knows.

His supporters do not care if he stumbles. They project their own desires onto the blank slate that Obama holds up and see what they want to see. Obama knows that part very well indeed.

McCain seemed to knock Obama off script, and scored a number of telling points on his background with Ayers and his association with ACORN, also with his use of "Joe the Plumber".

McCain won this round of "Gotcha". I do not believe that it is enough by itself to win the election and it is already very late.

I voted two days ago (and only once) by early ballot. Nothing either candidate could say tonight had any power to change that vote. About 40% of the electorate in this state will probably cast their votes by this same procedure in the next two weeks, placing themselves beyond reach of anybody's campaign.

McCain had better be on fire in the next two weeks.

It's frustrating because I can't even get to point B because they don't even have their facts straight enough to rebut with a viable argument. They're stuck on dem talking points and haven't moved beyond that to do and deeper truth digging. And talk about VITRIOL! Needless to say, the "conversations" don't last very long. I do try to reach at least one person if I can with facts and refrain from insults. Some of these folks are truly indoctrinated. The one question I can NEVER get a question to is "Why do you think Obama is infinitely qualified to be president" (because that's often what they say), and there are ALWAYS crickets chirping on that one, right after they come back with the "McCain will be 8 more years of the same", blah blah blah). Not a one can give a coherent answer to that.

McCain did better against Obama tonight than we have any right to expect. McCain is a patriot. Country first. His background and his family's background is service. He has principles that he is bound to uphold.
Obama, like Bill Clinton, is a slick character from nowhere, a clever but shallow opportunist. Trained as a lawyer, politics for him is just a moot court where he can argue anything to get himself elected. He advances under the banners of "Hope" and "Change" but he is pursuing the Marxist agenda he shares with Bill Ayres and Jeremiah Wright.

Of course I wish both Wright and Ayers had been brought up, but if I had to choose between McCain going for the Ayers angle or the Wright angle, I'd go for the Ayers one.

The Rev. Wright controversey is already way out there but the Ayers connection has been muffled and minimized by the press. Also, I think terrorist-buddy Obama will, and should, scare more people that racist-buddy Obama.

McCain did a good job of smacking down Obama's "8 year old" defense and defining his association--his alliance--with a terrorist as what it was. I live 3 blocks from where Ayers' WUO bombed a squad car in front of a Chicago police station. That kinda thing gets innocent bystanders killed and I'd like to see Obama look me in the eye and tell me his shoulder-rubbing with Ayers is part of the American Dream.

The physical extermination and gulags come a generation later for those children of yours who do not comply with the new polity!

I see your point, and frankly, I don't see where exactly are you disagreeing with what I said.

This Sen. Obama is the Trojan horse of this new breed of totalitarians, leaner, meaner, slicker and savvier that the fossilized Marxists of the past century. They are smarter, less dogmatic than their ancestors, and fully engaged in the game of assembling loose, broad alliances with any enemy of the widely held and generally accepted (until a mere half century ago, give or take) core principles of Western Civilization. These neototalitarians scrapped the old idea of violent revolution to achieve political power, choosing instead to subvert, erode and topple the system from within through the same mechanisms of representative democracy.

To achieve this end, it is crucial for neototalitarians to catapult a charismatic, fresh, unknown figure from nowhere to primetime, in order to capture the imaginations of a target population already dissatisfied with politics as usual that can be sold into the hope of a sweeping change, which can best be brought through the leadership of that charismatic man. How did Obama get to be known for the first time out of Chicago? Remember The Speech? It was delivered during the DNC 2004. Boy, that was impressive! That day I knew that that would not be the last time that we heard something from this guy. How I wish I was wrong!

If you want to know where this country may be heading if BHO gets elected POTUS, there is an ongoing case study: Venezuela, under the boots of Hugo Chavez since 1998. Research it. He rose from nowhere to instant celebrity status in 1992, after he took full responsibility for a military coup against the democratic government led by President Perez in mere 50 seconds in live national TV. A populace fed up with hardship and widespread corruption felt sympathetically toward those young military officers who allegedly just tried to clean up a big mess and return power to the civilians after a short transition. Six years later, he ran for president as a democratic reformer who would clean up and perfect democracy through a Constitutional Assembly who would write a new Constitution to provide strong, healthy bases for that new democracy. During his campaign he denied being a communist, even denouncing Fidel Castro as a dictator, and generally weaved a web of lies and deceit regarding allies, past relationships, and ideology. He won the election in a landslide, fair and square.

Venezuela had many problems in 1998, including corruption and the economy, which was bad enough. Now, 10 years later, Chavez is openly communist and the country is ruined, but believe me, Venezuelan democrats have fought the tyrant all the way, and they're not giving up anytime soon, however, it's been an uphill battle.

Going back to your comment, do you have any ideas about what clear-thinking Americans should do if BHO becomes POTUS, starting January 2009, to avoid seeing America destroyed by anti-Western neototalitarianism?

I think we should fight for America, for what is right and good. The actual unfolding of events would dictate how that patriotic fight should be carried on.

Fox commentators are not predisposed to McCain. His loyalty conservatives a demonstrated by his bipartisan approaches while seemingly pragmatic are perceived as fouls in a polarized Congress. Their reaction is not surprising, but the independents should be polling higher for him.

We shall see the MSM closing the numbers gap to avoid a total loss of credibility. FOX appears to be discounted in this issue by none other than Obama himself who gave them the verbal finger in a debate.

Voters, the ones who show up will decide, not the polls.

The psych out factor is now in effect.

Too late for that. The MSM's credibility has long been gone.

I am glad I watched, through my fingers at times, but I had my 10 year old with me, who is an INTENSE McCain fan. . .

Did I mention I am a teacher?

You're also rude and insensitive. And being a mother of an autistic child and a teacher doesn't excuse shitting on people.

Didn't have time to read all the comments so this may have been mentioned, but Ruppert Murdock, owner of Fox, gave a fund-raiser for Hillary during the primaries. He seems to be a businessman and pragmatist, not an ideologue. If trying to make Obama happy, is the game they are playing at fox, they will find our rather quickly that he tolerates no decent, not even a whiff of it.
If Obama gets elected I'm guessing Fox will either go completely against him or completely for him.

344 Yankee Sojourner  Thu, Oct 16, 2008 5:04:21am

Fox News' post-debate coverage has been in the tank for Uh-Obama 3 for 3. I wonder how much that cost. F*** 'em.

BTW, since when did saying "Uh" every other word qualify someone as an eloquent speaker? Nonetheless, the McCain camp should have been putting out there from jump, "What professional campaigner isn't an eloquent speaker?"

When O was first elected to the IL Senate he immediately began stumping for reelection; he spent his entire 2nd term in corrupt IL campaigning for the US Senate; and once on the Hill, seeking the presidency. WTF, I'd give a pretty damn good speech too if I was a professional campaigner.

re: #326 Promethea

I read somewhere that Rupert Murdoch owns them, and he wants O to win. Why? I don't know.

There are lots of multimillionaires who support O. There must be some reason for this. Bribes?

When Obama was out fundraising in Marin County, CA at the Ghetty estate on "Billionaires Row" [see Zombie's excellent photo-essay] do you think he warned his audience saying, "You guys, you filthy rich billionaires, are going to have to give up a bigger piece of your pie. In fact as I speak Michelle is out in North Carolina addressing a crowd of school mothers saying this very thing. You need to elect me because I support income redistribution and plan on spreading your wealth around."?

After watching that debate I felt a LOT better about McCain than I did before. There were a few fits of screaming at the TV when I thought he should have hammered Obama a bit better, but overall I think he did great. Obama was simply unbelieveable and sounded like a broken record with his socialistic talking points. The disgust I felt after listening to him babble out his Marxist crap only got worse when the pinhead pundits started their 'analyses' and clearly had already scripted them. I hope McCain pulls it off come election day!

re: #73 Devolving One

Wow. McCain showed up!

And so did Wayne Brady...oh, wait...that's Michelle Obama.

Coffee spew! Out the nose, even! LMAO

1. The sub-prime crisis had its origins in the Clinton era.(NOT the Bush Admin as Obama blames) The Community Reinvestment Act mandated that Banks make risky loans. ( Obama actually sued Citibank to Force them to loan to unqualified persons.)

2. The potential economic problems were seen in the late 1990's by John McCain. His warnings were IGNORED by Democrats.

3. The Bush administration has tried every year since 2003 to remedy the subprime problems, but were blocked by liberals like Frank and is Dodd..Obama was the second largest recipient of Fanny Mae/Freddie Mac campaign contribution largess .

4. The culture of corruption decried by the Democrats is alive and well in their own party; To wit:
a. Rep Tim Mahoney (D-Fl) is worse than Mark Foley; Foley never paid hush money
b. Nancy Pelosi knew about this scandal and never did a thing
c. No Democrat, Alabama, will acknowledge their complicity in the present crisis.
d. Senator Obama is getting economic advice from the architects responsible for the melt-down at Fannie Mae (Raines/Johnson)

5. Senator Obama's economic plan will deliver tax cuts, only after the larger Bush tax cuts are allowed to expire.(a net tax INCREASE).Obamas plan will cause MASSIVE layoffs, and worsen the current financial crisis.American businesses currently pay the SECOND HIGHEST TAX RATE in the WORLD. This KILLS jobs.

6. Senator Obama's tax plan will pay money to people who do not pay taxes at all at present ,and some who do not work at all.

7. Senator Obama's tax plan is a "Share the Wealth" plan revivied. Pure Socialism and corrupt wealth redistribution. He promises tax cuts to 95% of Americans, yet 40% of Americans DO NOT PAY TAXES. That is Welfare.

8. Senator Obama's health care plan is no plan at all and will result in a system akin the to UK's national health service, or worse.( where you can wait up to NINE months for a surgical procedure )

9. How can Obamas tax plan will work, when it contains $1.5 trillion in NEW spending

10. Note the Iranian motor vessel seized by pirates and how the Russians think it was meant to be a giant dirty bomb--and that Obama wants to meet with the man who authorized such an act.
(ahmedinejhad)

11 Obama calls for a new alternative energy policy to replace oil. NO SUCH ALTERNATIVE CURRENTLY EXISTS. His policy would only RAISE the price of gas. Obama is against Nuclear power, offshore drilling, and ANWAR drilling,

12 Obama has NO LEGISLATIVE accomplishments in his 4 years in the US Senate. He has NO executive experience to be president. He is a Jeremiah Wright apprentice and the friend of the Reverend of hate, racism and anti-Americanism , An apprentice of a black racist (Wright)and a murdering left wing socialist (Ayres),accomplice of a mob kingpin (Rezko). Obama has an admitted communist mother and grandfather. Obama was a member of the New SOCIALIST party in the 1990s. Do you really believe he sat in church ,NEVER hearing Rev Wrights RACISM & HATE, for 20 YEARS?

13 Obama has voted for tax increases 94 times! In the state senate, Obama voted "present" (no vote) 138 times. Presidents cant vote "present".on the tough issues.

14 Obama supports barbaric partial birth abortion and INFANTICIDE. He voted AGAINST a law requiring a Doctor to save the life of a baby who SURVIVE an Abortion. (These babies are currently left unattended to DIE.) When questioned by Rev Rick Warren, Obama said the question of Abortion was (quote) "above my pay grade"!

15 Obamas own running mate ,Joe Biden has said Obama was too inexperienced to be President and that the Presidency was NOT a "on the job training position." Conversely ,Biden complimented McCain, noting that he (Biden) thought McCain would make a "Great" president

16 Obama pays Women on his staff only 83 cents on the dollar

17 Obama is AGAINST the Second Amendment rights He supported the Washington DC ban on concealed carry firearms.

18 Obama wants to eliminate funding for the antimissle program which protects America from Nuclear attack.

I'm also under inappropriate duress about how I'm going to vote--I work for liberals. So far, I've been honest in saying I "lean" McCain but find Obama very poised and charismatic. However, if I have to, I will just smile and nod and keep my mouth SHUT because I have to have a job. Liberals take reprisals and thank God we have a secret ballot in the U.S.

re: #20 Outrider

OK, Post number three: I thought McCain won but Obama didn't lose, which is all he had to do. I also think the polls are slanted Dem so the race is closer than they want us to believe, and McCain has a good shot.

All I heard this morning at work was "Joe the Plumber" -- which got people to see what the little o said to him -- which was a positive outcome of the debate.

re: #336 Old Hippie Vet

McCain did a good job and Bullwinkle lied his ass off, which will probably show up in some adds soon.

Is it just my bad eyes or does Michelle have a big ass?

She does have a big ass. His name is "Barack".
