Al Qaeda Supporting McCain? Don't Believe It

Politics | Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 11:54:44 am PDT

Yesterday the media tried to tell us that Al Qaeda was supporting John McCain for president.

But once again, they’re distorting the truth to cover for Barack Obama, picking one random post from an Islamic forum and calling it “Al Qaeda:” Al Qaeda Supporting McCain? No, Not Really.

The internet posting cited by the Washington Post is not an official statement by al-Qaeda’s media arm, al-Sahab. In fact it is little more than some “Ahmed from Amman” desktop jihadist trying to steel himself for a possible McCain victory. The media appears to be doing the same as well.

The WaPo lied?
/Tell me it isn't so

2 musicman  Thu, Oct 23, 2008 11:55:59am

Why would the MSM even care to report the true facts anymore?

3 jcm  Thu, Oct 23, 2008 11:56:00am

The media sees the real polls and is desperate.

This is a good sign.

4 godfrey  Thu, Oct 23, 2008 11:56:37am

Does anyone actually believe the WaPo would fact-check this story?

lol

That would require a "journalist."

It's getting harder and harder to trust and verify what you read in the media, to say nothing of what's out there on the 'net. Of course, people who just read headlines aren't going to notice that al Qaeda didn't really support McCain, and that the jihadi is actually hoping for the opposite.

8 Shug  Thu, Oct 23, 2008 11:57:44am

Check Ahmed's IP address.

Reverse psychology. It backfired in 2004 when they endorsed John Kerry (Did you know he served in Viet Nam?)

really, I think this is a non-issue
I can't imagine even the most thirsty 0bama kool-aid drinker thinking this is a serious problem for Mccain

but still, McCain should fire back with the people who endorse 0bama that seriously want him to win and the danger they pose

When I saw this, it seemed so far out in the ultra-violet region of unbelievability that it was even beyond humor. Not even good reverse psychology. Some Postie's hash dream, perhaps. A McCain victory will mean one thing to al qaeda: a duck's-eye view of a shotgun blast.

The back channel network is more likely to be.

Sen Obama campaign(tefloned) + MSM media (colluders) + KOS(Dirty hands) + Ayers and other friends (Do all evil) + Al Quaida(hopeful).

The MSM is following the KOS meme of lieing whenever possible.

I see news snippets of Gov Palin in a manufactured poor light where Sen Obama is constantly manufactured in a good light. Yahoo, local media, and the MSM. It's like they got together and created an elect Obama program.

Meanwhile as Obama takes the pineapple express back to Hawaii, perhaps Joe Biden will say it's a lie and al qaeda really endorses Obama. Or at least reminisces about the times he and Ben Laden spent together down at the local cafe. Or share some of the jokes he tells at the senatorial barber shop.

Didn't al Queda claim to "support" Bush in '04 for the same reasons as stated in this latest release? That Bush would keep fighting and bankrupting the US, while giving al Queda the war that they want?

Or did they support Kerry, which Kerry later claimed cost him the election?

Even the dhimmicrat media see through this one. It was specifically designed for them to disseminate and they're luke warm on it at best because they know most people will see it as Al Quaeda wanting Obama for prez which is the case.

By the way, mark my words. If McCain wins Virginia he wins the presidency. If he looses Virginia it's President Obama.

Go to an electoral map, change all the un-decided states to McCain which is where they're going and you'll see Virginia's the only one he needs to pull to his side to win and that's the next closest after all the un-decided states.

The quagmire strategy might still make sense to desktop jihadists like Ahmed from Amman, unnamed CIA analysts, along with the Washington Post and Boston Globe. However, the $10-12 billion spent each month in Iraq is barely a dent in the federal budget bucket and not even remotely responsible for our current economic woes.

Meanwhile, the Dems want to give us a VP, Biden, who was wrong on all of the critical foreign policy issues and a representative, Barney Frank, who was greatly responsible for "our current economic woes."
Great. A hair plug and an ass plug.

"Undecideds" are breaking for McCain. Obama has lost points, but I'm betting (and praying!) that in these last 11 days, those who truly haven't made up their minds will break for Mac in big ways.

As it has been said before - Obama just cannot seal the deal with middle-America.

I sent the guy that great Boortz article. He responded that his only regret was that it was getting too cold to wear his Obama T-shirt outside, but that he didn't need to be a weatherman to figure out which way the wind was blowing.

OK... then we absolutely must deliver a crap sandwich for this guy to eat on 4 Nov!

A vid of a bunch of dead animals that the Palins shot. Skinned polar bears, dead wolves, plastic containers of severed wolf paws. From some group called women against Palin.

Though it could probably also be used as a PETA commercial as well.

No Sarc

Actually, from your description, I think I've seen that video on one of the second tier cable channels as a 527 ad.

I think that there are very few true undecideds left. I think there are lot of people saying "undecided" who are actually McCain supporters but who did want to get a better candidate. the 'why bother to vote' people will come out big for McCain.

Well, I live in a town full of moonbats, and it was on cable, so maybe it was aimed at them. The rest of the state is pretty red and it could go either way, depending on how many votes ACORN can steal.

Also, this was on one of the women's channels, so maybe it was running nationwide. Someone in my house was watching a program on WE or Lifetime or one of those, and told me to come look at it. I backed up the Tivo. It was pretty disgusting.
