22 Gus 802  Thu, Oct 23, 2008 7:51:01pm

That's about the size of it. ABC reads like a gossip rag outside of these "political" blogs. Just take a look at their obsession with celbrities and how "she looks without make up" and other assnine stories.

These blogs are all by Justin Rood who also writes for the liberal internet trash rag, TPM.

A beautiful fairy appeared, one day, to a destitute refugee claimant outside the Immigration Office. "My good man" the fairy said, "I've been told to grant you three wishes since you just arrived in the United States with your wife and three children."

The man told the fairy, "Well, where I come from we don't have good teeth, so I want new teeth, maybe a lot of gold in them." The fairy looked at the man's almost toothless grin and -PING!- he had brand new shining set of gold teeth in his mouth!

"What else?" asked the fairy, "Two more to go." The refugee claimant now got bolder. "I need a big house with a three car garage in, on the water with eight bedrooms for my family. I bring them all over here."

-PING!- In the distance there could be seen a beautiful mansion with a three car garage, a long driveway, a walkout patio with a BBQ pit, pool, in an upscale neighbourhood overlooking the bay.

"One more wish", the fairy said waving her wand. "Yes, one more wish, I want to be like an American with American clothes instead of these torn clothes and a baseball cap instead of this turban. I want white skin like the Americans."

-PING!- The man was transformed, wearing worn out jeans, a Baltimore Orioles T-Shirt, and a baseball cap. He had his bad teeth back, the mansion disappeared from the horizon.

"What happened to my new teeth?" he wailed. "Where's my new house!?" The fairy said, "Tough stuff, Mac. Now you are a white American, if you want something you have to work hard, earn the money and get it yourself!"

Interesting article in Wash Post about felons voting in Virginia while MILITARY votes are being repressed. Just sickening.

If the media were truly objective, half of the rss feed would include items like:

Lax Internet Protocols Open Door To Fraud and Illegality at Obama Campaign Website

Fraudulent voter registrants admit wrongdoing.

Military ballots being tossed in Virginia.

The Forgotten Ayers Manifesto (or why zombie has to do the media's work for them).

I started to answer you and my keyboard froze and had to reboot. My understanding of that interview is that Charlie was expressly chosen to interview both McCain and Palin.

In other words, he was facing a lot of pressure from his "colleagues" to prove he could be tough. Well, he far exceeded that and was quite the asshole IMO. That said, I still think he has been one of the most fair/balanced of the 3 major broadcast journalists up to that point. Did he sell out? No question about it.

Gibson has been granted exclusives with McCain and his running-mate, which is unusual favoritism by any measure. There's something about Gibson that McCain advisers appear to like a great deal.
Gibson has a chance to prove them wrong.

Help a worthy cause:

We need your help! $2,000 short of our goal to counterprogram Obama’s Kool-Aid Festival

We need your help!

Chicago DeMcCrats for McCain have teamed up with Chicago Young Republicans to spoil Obama’s Election Night Kool-Aid Festival. Please help us raise the $2,000 we still need to stage an enormous Election Night Results Party (complete with ample security, don’t worry) at the Hilton Chicago, directly across the street from the giant Kool-Aid Festival Obama is staging in Grant Park. We are counter-programming against “The One”, and his legion of Kool-Aid zombies. We’ve booked a ballroom for 1000+ people and another party room that looks directly down on Obama’s Kool-Aid Festival in the park. We need your help, especially, with paying for all the security this event requires.

We are confident of McCain’s win and want to send a message to the media and the Obama Nation that Chicago Democrats and Republicans have united and are working together to defeat Obama — we’re planning a victory party that will celebrate McCain/Palin in style. This is an UNPRECEDENTED bipartisan effort the likes of which no one in Chicago’s ever seen. It will be a free event, open to all McCain supporters, bringing Democrats, Republicans, and Independents together like never before (RSVP to info@chicagoyrs.com - we’d love to have you join us).

We want to have fun Arizona and Alaska-themed decorations and snacks, with a first-rate media setup and lots of TVs for 1000+ supporters to watch the results pour in live. HillBuzz has been working with the Chicago Young Republicans and DeMcCrats for McCain to make this the biggest bipartisan event not just in Chicago, but across the country. Our hope is that our effort here, in the dead center of the Obama Nation and Kool-Aid Kingdom, will inspire all of you out there to work hard, so we can all party hard, on November 4th.

I believe that would require a Constitutional amendment.
I doubt that enough states would pass it.

Sounds right.
If not, and the One wins it's a non-issue, as he won the EC.
If he loses, President McCain would veto it.

What is it about an actual human being of the American persuasion that drives the lefties and the media so berserk?

I did not know Palin from Shinola before this election. I am now so impressed that I can think of no one better to lead this country. A Reagan in the making from where I sit. Ronnie did not spend a lot of time at Oxford as I recall.

I will now happily accept my illiterate hick status. Thanks.

By the way, it has been interesting to see the snobs on all sides of the political spectrum expose themselves lately. Threatened by Sarah Palin? Maybe the problem is with you my snooty snoot friends.

And another thing-

The next time some nitwit asks me a snarky question about "why do you think Sarah Palin is qualified to be President of the United States should John McCain die?" I'm going to give the only valid answer:

"Because John McCain chose her to be his vice president and I trust the judgment of somebody who was tortured by communists far more than the judgment of somebody who was educated by communists."

Nothing in there about Gerrymandering though.....the democrats are already masters of that technique. They can re-arrange districts to give themselves an automatic majority in the house. We have a district here in AZ that was designed for a "Hispanic" representative. Some parts of this district (which runs over 130 miles from Tucson up to southern Phoenix) consist of the width of Interstate 10....not many voters in that area. The republicans are rank amateurs when it comes to this "style" of stacking the deck. And, if they ever should try it to any degree, I would guess the dems would squeal like stuck pigs.

99 zombie  Thu, Oct 23, 2008 8:17:00pm

Time for a public strategy session.

A lot of bloggers and independent citizen journalists are doing their best to generate public awareness of Obama's many "negatives." And although many scandal-worthy facts have been uncovered, it is still unknown to what extent this information is reaching "the undecideds" or the general public at large.

Certainly, anybody out there who has Web access and even a halfway open mind is able to see and absorb all the damning info about Obama. But I get the feeling that the vast majority of "undecideds" are pretty non-Web-savvy and/or are pretty (let's be frank here) uninformed about rudimentary historical and cultural facts -- so that scandals which should affect them deeply instead bounce off their heads like a tennis ball off a brick wall.

How to reach these people in a way that will affect them?

A major, huge, almost impenetrable stumbling block (I'm willing to admit) is the 100% pro-Obama bias of the media. They simply will not give anything traction unless they are absolutely forced to. Pathetic, trivial and downright false claims and pseudo-scandals dreamt up by left-wing blogs get immediate front-page coverage nationwide; but even substantial investigations (and I'm not talking about myself here -- I've seen a lot of great work out there) from our side are greeted with total silence for the most part. Which means the information we generate, no matter how good or juicy, never even reaches the people it needs to reach. Which is exactly what the media wants.

The polls, to the extent thay can be trusted, are either showing an Obama lead or a very close race. We can't take the chance that they are even vaguely accurate. We have to accelerate to the finish line -- not coast.

Yes, the blogosphere has grown in power substantially; and our side of the blogosphere has grown substantially; and the mainstream media has fallen in influence and power. But for the moment, they do still barely have the upper hand: if the major TV networks refuse to cover a story, then a substantial portion of Americans will simply never hear of it.

There are other ways that information gets out: email lists and mass-mailings are one, and from which I have benefitted greatly these last months; many of my essays have been emailed like spam from here to Timbuktu from list to list. And "niche media" -- i.e. media with a self-identified slant -- is another.

But I worry that even these do not reach the remaining undecideds. Because if you're undecided at this point, you have to be nearly brain-dead and extremely media unaware. I think the ONLY way to reach the remaining people who could decide this election is by getting something, somehow onto their network TV screens.

But since the networks are absolutely in the tank for Obama, and totally uncooperative, how can this be achieved?

Barring any brilliant ideas or unexpected revelations, all we can do is keep plugging along, and doing what we've been doing. But in this comment what I'm looking for are exactly that: brilliant ideas and unexpected revelations.

So I ask the open question: In the remain two weeks of this campaign, what do you recommend we focus our energies on?

I want either specific "story ideas" that seem promising; or unorthodox media strategies. Or something wild.

I have a few notions of my own, but I'm looking for input. Let the ideas flow!

#52, et. al.

Yeah, abolition of the EC would require a constitutional amendment and there is a deliberately high, built-in threshold that would make it very tough to get out of Congress. I suspect a significant number--maybe the majority--of Blue Dog Democrats would also have serious reservations about messing with the EC--the possibility of a de facto civil war occurring would certainly be one of them:

[Link: www.usconstitution.net...]

One thing the Donks particularly don't want to admit is that abolition of the EC would most certainly INCREASE the possibility of voter fraud since elections would be driven by turnout, turnout, turnout--especially in large urban areas.

It is a detest for anything authoritarian. They do not have capacity for tolerance of living within a society that is bounded by constitutional rules. To them everything should be "wide open"based on fairness. A lot of it is individual perception of the term "Freedom". They wish to redefine it to their own terms. Fairness is a perception they wish to define to fit their reality of a free society. Capitalism means they would have to work their own weight in that system. Once upon a time in a village, a man appeared and announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for $5 each. The villagers seeing that there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them.

The man bought thousands at $5 and as supply started to diminish, the villagers stopped their effort.

He further announced that he would now buy at $10. This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again. Soon the supply diminished even further and people started going back to their farms.

The offer increased to $15 each and the supply of monkeys became so little that it was an effort to even see a monkey, let alone catch it.

The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at $50. However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his assistant would now buy on his behalf.

In the man's absence, the assistant told the villagers "Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that the man has collected. I will sell them to you at $35 and when the man returns from the city, you can sell them to him for $50 each."

The villagers rounded up with all their savings and bought all the monkeys. Then they never again saw the man nor his assistant, only monkeys everywhere!

And THAT ladies and gentleman is how the stock market works...

Charlie Gibson: McCain's Favorite Network Anchor?

Remember, Charlie Gibson is the one who gave Obama the tough question about raising taxes, iirc capital gains taxes, and how it will reduce revenues to the government, not increase them. This was during the primaries. (Not that I think revenues to the government should be the justification for lowering taxes. ).

Obama didn't do well with that and Gibson pressed him. So, he can be fair.

Russia has Pravda, we have USA Today, the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, L.A. Times, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN. All party-controlled media.

Does an objective person on earth in the year 2008 have an actual impartial source of facts they can turn to?*

*LGF isn't supposed to be impartial, but at least it has facts!

Have any of these organs ~ever~ claimed to be totally impartial? Or is it merely a myth we all grew up with?

In 1860 the current MSM would be referring to the anti-slavery movement as "anti-choice" and doing exposés on Lincoln's stovepipe hat expenditures.

Mary Lincoln wore gowns that cost $2000 (in 1860's money, not adjusted) and redecorated the White House while the country was in the midst of the bloodiest war of its history.

The same Secretary of State who has thus far refused to even investigate ACORN's activities here in Massachusetts--and who supports giving tax dollars to a group committing election fraud--won't do his job (sworn duty) to protect the right to vote for men and women fighting for our nation abroad.

MA Secretary of State Bill Galvin, who will fight to the death to make sure a "voter" who can't even read the ballot unless its written in Portuguese gets a vote, violated federal law rather than make sure an American soldier serving in Baghdad gets his ballot.

Yeah, but this pops up every election year. If the EC were trashed, the major urban centers would elect the President and the rest of us would be disenfranchised from the presidential vote. Pretty clear the reason only one party wants it done away with.

#128,

I believe it is [the MSM's] last shot at relevancy so they are playing it for all it's worth. Apparently taking a large risk doing so hoping it pays off, I guess.

Yeah, the MSM is riding high right now...just like the dinosaurs right before the asteroid hit. To wit:

1. If Obama wins, the MSM is royally f***ed because over half the country will finally realize it has openly cast its lot with one political party and become just another (short)arm of the State. The MSM will never be trusted again and Red America will proceed even more furiously to develop its own independent, and more trustworthy, media outlets.

2. If McCain wins, the MSM is still f***ed for the pretty much the same rationale stated in #1.

1) I'd say attack Obama for elitism. (Dobbs -- look up Dobbs' program about Obama sneering at Joe the Plumber). Get video clips of the smears directed by Obama against the Ordinary Joe -- the Obama insults to the Ordinary American. Emphasize this -- Obama's disdain (if not hatred) for America's ordinary people.

2) Economic Issues. Pin Obama for causing the current economic crisis, and insist that an Obama presidency will only ensure an enrichment of the Elite Class (meaning the graduates of Harvard, etc.) with a consequent impoverishment of the middle class. Note all of Obama's policies which would go to ending poverty in the Third World, while ignoring the suffering status of Ordinary Americans. Hence, Obama's "priorities" are directed toward "The World", and NOT to America.

3) Emphasize Obama's lack of Security Clearance -- that on Foreign Policy matters he would abandon traditional allies while embracing avowed Enemies of the United States.

"Good luck" is right. McCain is too much like Dorando Pietri for that to succeed very easily. He should be promoting himself more. Instead, we will have to drag him across the finish line.

Personally, cynically, I think we will have to go negative and get the goods on Obama, to puncture his image. McCain can't compete in the "crowd appeal" category.

The next day the broker calls and says "great news! the stock is up to 50 cents and is still rising!" The client says "great! I'll buy 2000 shares more!"

The next day the broker calls: "This stock is on fire! it's up to a dollar and the sky's the limit!" and the client says "Great, I'll buy 5000 shares more!"

The next day the broker calls and says "This is phenomenal! the stock is up to 5 dollars!" and the client says "Great! Sell it all!"

(snip)

So I ask the open question: In the remain two weeks of this campaign, what do you recommend we focus our energies on?

I want either specific "story ideas" that seem promising; or unorthodox media strategies. Or something wild.

I have a few notions of my own, but I'm looking for input. Let the ideas flow!

(And I reserve the right to repost this on an open thread later tonight, if needed.)

Although someone in the press stated I was apparently narcisstic because I have a blog, I found that is a way to reach a lot of people. They don't have to search for information merely click a link I provide. My reputation among my neighbors, friends, etc is good so they will listen to what I put in there. By providing links, they can verify the stories themselves. Make it easy for them.
I put up the campaign signs and wear the shirts. This provokes questions, which I answer and send these folks to my blog site, LGF, Zombies, or some others depending what I read that day and what question they asked. I have business cards with these URLs already on them.
I have had quite a few people drop back by and ask other questions and I know for a fact I have brougt a few undecideds over to McCain/Palin side. I sincerely doubt I have converted any Obama followers though. ;-)>

McCain's appeal, such as it is, is that he truly does put American First - and tried to take the High Road - remember him putting Rev. Wright on the no-hit list VERY EARLY in the game?
But Bi-Partisanship hasn't really worked with the Democrats and John should have reached that conclussion on his own a while back - I think Americans want less bi-partisanship and more of a Do what's right for me type of President.

The family wheeled Grandma out on the lawn, in her wheelchair where the activities for her 100th birthday were taking place.

Grandma had a mild stroke, couldn't speak very well, but she could write notes when she needed to communicate.

After a short time out on the lawn, Grandma started leaning off to the right, so some family members grabbed her, straightened her up, and stuffed pillows on her right.

A short time later, she started leaning off to her left, so again the family grabbed her and stuffed pillows on her left.

Soon she started leaning forward, so the family members again grabbed her and then tied a pillowcase around her waist to hold her up.

A grandson, who arrived late, came up to Grandma and said, "Hi Grandma, you're looking good! How are they treating you?" Grandma took out her little notepad and slowly wrote a note to the nephew... "They won't let me fart."

Hit this home in an ad like the one I proposed and of which karridine developed a basic version. Make people question how much they truly know about 0bama!

The only thing close to this that I've seen so far in this election is the occasional asking of 0bama supporters to name an accomplishment of his. That's not enough, but the basic idea is powerful!

I watch him quite a bit-usually on the evening news. I always trusted him to be balanced in his reporting. It will be a very sad day when the media can suck the last vestiges of integrity out of someone like Charlie. He's probably counting the days to retirement. I know I'd be if I were him.

I'd say, forget about the MSM. Go for mailing lists with YouTube (or other) video clips...(gotta be short on the text -- cut out the text business -- nobody reads -- go with images and voice overs...and i also think the economy is key, key, key...the BBC did a snippet re: why voters are voting the way they are in Missouri...and "it's the economy, stupid."). btw, if you want to transmit (this has been studied) the most info in the shortest amount of time -- you go with audio (like lectures/speaking -- not reading...reading takes far, far too long -- reading is too time consuming.)

Hard for a guy to compete with someone that tells you he is going to give you lots of stuff and eliminate a lot of your daily worries when you are telling them it is going to be a tough haul but we can do it.

218 Teacake!  Thu, Oct 23, 2008 8:48:23pm

I wish McCain would say O is a puppet for George Scoros for one. That our sovereignty is at risk. That O's only bill is the global poverty tax and would make us slaves to the UN. I wish he would just get real and honest and forget the talking points and speak from his heart about how dangerous O is and who O might appoint to his cabinet.

re: #168 J.S.

I like the elitism emphasis idea, but the rest seems too esoteric and complicated for the bozo undecideds. Plus, we'd have to compete with the Obama infomercials.

Guy goes into the jungle

Tells the natives that he'll buy monkeys for $5 a head.

natives go wild and capture thousands of monkeys.

Monkey numbers decrease and are harder to catch so some natives give up. The outsider raises the price to $10 a head.

Hundreds of monkeys are caught and added to the cage.

Numbers fall ever further and very few monkeys inhabit the jungle.

The price goes up to $20 a head and scores of monkeys are caught.

Now nobody sees many monkeys at all in the jungle and enthusiasm for catching them falls.

The price is upped to $50 a head but the outsider has to go away on business elsewhere and his assistant is put in charge of catching monkeys.

On the side the assistant says to the natives. "look there are almost no monkeys left. I'll sell you the monkeys in the cage for $40 a head and you can sell them to the boss for $50 a head. We;ll all make squillions of dollars.

The natives borrow all the money they can and buy the monkeys and they never saw the boss man or his assistant again.

UPDATE ON AYERS/OBAMA DREAMS FROM MY FATHER CONNECTION

Tonight Cashill named Utah Representative Chris Cannon as the guy who contacted him and arranged for two university based authorship authorities to analyze the material. He did not name the universities but said that they were major publicly funded institutions.

He said they have been working around the clock and will announce their findings in the next day or two.

He has been talking to Drudge and other conservative media types about breaking the story.

Cashill is very excited about this and claims the findings will be enough to prove (if not conclusively) that Ayers aided Obama in a very significant way in writing Dreams.

Zombie, in the remaining days it's real important to push the big issues where McCain is definitely positive, and Obama negative.

#99 Zombie

From my point of view, as a guy who grew up in a working class family; five kids - we've always believed that the Democrat Party was the party of the working class. But we would never have signed on for communism, which is socialism's ultimate aim. I've voted anti-democrat in the last couple elections, for reasons I will not enumerate here, but I know that in the hearts of many Democrats, lies the yearning for freedom and a chance to "get there." I believe that most people who think they're voting Democrat this year - as they always have - is out of dedication to a party they've always supported. I also believe that if they'd just realize how socialist ideology has crept into the party platform, they may be convinced that McCain is liberal enough. For crying out loud, he was the MSM's Golden Boy of the Republican party. Don't count out an ability to reach people who might vote out of pure dedication to a party they haven't realized has been compromised.

For what it's worth, I'm going to throw your 99 onto the Powerline Forum.

Unfortunately, unless someone comes up with pictures of The One™ and a pile of cocaine, a donkey and a transvestite republican, the media will yawn. Even with all of the above the left may consider it a positive.

Just got this in an email:

Pull out of Iraq?
Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago!
Body count:
In the last six months:
292 killed (murdered) in Chicago;
221 killed in Iraq.

Chicago.... Who Runs it:

Senators: Barack Obama & Dick Durbin
Rep: Jesse Jackson Jr.,
Illinois Gov: Rod Blogojevich,
Illinois House leader Mike Madigan,
Illinois Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike),
Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley (son of Mayor Richard J. Daley)
.....our leadership in Illinois.....all Democrats.
Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago.
Of course, they're all blaming each other!

Can't blame Republicans; they're aren't any!
State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country.
Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. (Look 'em up if you want).
Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country.

This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois. And he's gonna 'fix' Washington politics for us!

Obama intends to decimate our military and cutback on missile defense systems.
When I tell undecided or squishy Obama-leaning women about that, I say he is against all the research and development we are doing to protect our cities against nuclear attack. (They don't know exactly what I'm talking about, but then, neither do I!) It really does make them pause, though.

If you say he wants to "cut military spending," they don't care.....or they approve.

The fact remains Zombie, that we still do not have a clue who Obama really is!
The only written work we have of him is the two memoirs that are like flights of ideas.
We have no clear picture of who he REALLY is because he is a changeling, an illusionist.
No grades, no thesis papers, nothing other than his words, which change to suit the cause of his rally's and the locations he is campaigning. What about a piece on the theme as the Illusionist!
Just focus only on how many times he has CHANGED his policies, his approach, his methods of strategy, his talking from both sides of his mouth,
his not answering the question given him, his follow the leader positions on economic policy, his hedging on the bailout plan, his "present" voting in office, but all of these prove his ILLUSION.
Who is he?DO YOU REALLY KNOW?

I'm not sure that a "hot story" is necessary. You would be amazed at how many people have no idea about the link between Obama and Ayers, or have not yet seen the videos of Wright giving his hate speech.

A simple flier outlining just a few of the skeletons in Obama's closet could have an impact in swing states.

The media won't go into his background, or how he came into politics, but by now I'm sure you're heard rumblings about it. don't be dissuaded. re: #264 zombie I don't know if there is ONE way - a blockbuster - to seal the deal for McCain.
I do think the idea of "snobbery" is one that plays well as does the idea - which I've personally found to be true with American's of all political stripes, is "Do you want your children to have a chance at a better life than you have? Do you think they'll get that chance with Obama [and Democrats*] essentially taking away from hard working Americans like Joe the Plumber and GIVING that Money to whomever Obama [and Democrats*] think should get it? Do you think Obama [and Democrats]
will give that money to YOUR kids?"
And while we can do what we can by volunteering, writing blogs and the like, the fact is - I read in Rueters today that McCain and the RNC have 84 million bucks to spend between now and election day.
I honestly think that we somehow have to get McCain and the RNC to spend their money on that type of ad - and btw, all of those member of the younger generation who are spamming up the blogsphere are traditionally and historically those who vote in the smallest percentage of any age/generational group.
*the [and Democrats] might be needed by the RNC to stop a hemmorage of R's in Congress.
I don't know any other ways in which WE can do much more than volunteer our time, take the time to take that message to folks in their late 30's to 40's and 50's in one on one discussions.
If I had the dough, I'd buy TV ad's but I don't and although McCain does, he doesn't get that message about YOUR kids having it better than you do.
Maybe mention to folks in their 40's and 50's the idea of their losing their 401k tax exemptions too.

This reminds me of my science teacher talking about the history of astronomy. If you had asked any pre-Copernican astronomer why you should study astronomy, they would've replied that the purpose was to develop an improved calendar by more accurately tracking the paths of the Sun, moon, planets, and stars around the Earth.

Their very definition, tracking the paths of astronomical bodies around the Earth, is exactly what stopped them from developing the accurate calendar that was so desperately needed. (Heck, even when Copernicus proposed his sun-centered model of the solar system, it was regarded as nothing more than a "mathematical convenience", and not taken as a serious proposition that the Earth and other planets actually went around the Sun.)

If the point is to find a story that defeats 0bama, then focus only on finding those mythical embarrassing stories. If the point is to defeat 0bama, let's consider a wider variety of approaches and possibilities.

I like the idea of "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em." Go out of your way to not mention anything that the 0bama campaign doesn't want mention. Make sure everyone knows the lengths to which you're going to avoid the things that the 0bama campaign doesn't want mentioned. Go into great detail about how many things there are that are either unknown or the 0bama campaign doesn't want mentioned.

Tell me, how is the 0bama campaign going to deal with a campaign that defines him as an unknown?

Well, there are a couple of passages in Dreams From My Father where he talks about how easy it is to snow white liberals just by being.....clean and articulate. (Not his exact words!) His point was that he could manipulate them by hiding his anger.

Sorry, but I think my idea in #300 has merit - PUT IT TO AMERICANS: do you want your children to have a shot at a better life than you've had? Do you REALLY think they'll get that shot with Obama as President?"

And a follow up ad - directed to those who at least think about retiring one day (i.e., those in their 40's and 50's) "Are you counting on your 401k's to enable you to retire to a decent lifestyle? Democrats want to do away with the tax deductions for your AND your employers contributions to that 401k - Heck, employers might just not contribute to your 401k if there is no tax deduction for them."

I think those two concepts hit the majority of Americans right in the gut. How to get those messages out is the question and I don't have a real answer to it, other than McCain using up what dough he has on those commericals.

It's got to be small, cheap, and viral. Obama is going to carpet bomb his message using the most expensive air time. The only way to stop that is to have something with enough flair to pop thru the static.

That's what I'm talking about. Whatever we do, we will be competing against the most massive political ad campaign in history by many orders of magnitude. Obama will be spending a third of a billion dollars on ads between now and November 4. THAT is what we are up against. And that is what we must effectively counter.

How the dems caused the financial "crisis" right before the election as Mac began leading in the polls. Then all of the sudden BHO was the best man to 'fix' the economy and surged in the polls. Tracing back to when Chuckie pulled the thread and caused a bank to fail.
BHO: the man with the least amount of economic experience is best positioned to fix it?

Well, there are a couple of passages in Dreams From My Father where he talks about how easy it is to snow white liberals just by being.....clean and articulate. (Not his exact words!) His point was that he could manipulate them by hiding his anger.

(I think he's still playing that game, but he could say that in that book he was just talking about his past, his youth, etc.)

That was also covered in a book written many years ago

Black, like me

about a white guy that made himself look black in order to travel in the South for a story.

That's what I'm talking about. Whatever we do, we will be competing against the most massive political ad campaign in history by many orders of magnitude. Obama will be spending a third of a billion dollars on ads between now and November 4. THAT is what we are up against. And that is what we must effectively counter.

We could go jujitsu on this and work on the overexposure that this massive and unprecedented media buy represents.

re: #99 zombie

Whatever we do, it's got to be a multi-pronged approach. We're not just talking about national results, we're talking about individual battle ground states and the importance they hold.

1) For one thing, numerous lizards are posting as if Obama has already won this election. IT IS NOT SO! HE HAS NOT WON IT YET! So stop posting as if he has, because it only sows seeds of defeat amongst the rest of us who still believe we can win. If you think all is lost, then keep it to yourself! The rest of us are still fighting to make sure it doesn't happen.

2) For Lizards in battle ground states - those who live in Virginia, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Iowa - GET OUT AND WORK! Also those in North Carolina and Indiana, because those states seem to be under assault as well. And for those in New Hampshire? GET OUT AND WORK! Your state could be a pick-up for Mac/Sarah, if some work is done!

3. For Lizards in non-battleground states - DONATE TO THE RNC OR TO ANY 527 THAT HAS THE BEST ADS! I.E. "Our Country Deserves Better", etc.

4. Keep sending every link on to your family/friends, particularly Zombie's stuff about Ayers.

It's a ground game, right now. The MSM won't help us, so we have to do all we can to get the word out, the very word THEY should be getting out, if they weren't so attached to Barack Obama's genitalia.

FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!

I agree on the pushing socialism/communism. Which is exactly what I've been doing this last week. And it's also what was going to be my next project, but I'm not sure I have the time.

National Center for Suburban Studies Releases Results of Only 2008 Presidential Poll to Focus on Suburban Voters

Mr. Levy said the poll highlighted the voting preferences of one of the most important blocs of voters in the nation. "Suburban voters have decided not only the victors of the last five presidential contests but control of Congress and state houses," said Mr. Levy. "These voters tend to be more ideologically moderate than the typical voter. They aren't owned by any political party and now there are more voters in suburbia than any where else in the country."

Yeah, sure, foreign policy (Obama wants to invade a Nuclear Armed Pakistan which has treaties with Red China, and, of course there's Iraq) make great debating points, but I think at this point most Americans are tired of hearing it.
And as for Ayers, et.al. - someone out here posted that she'd (I think it was a she) had a conversation with her sister and - in exasperation said "Why don't you get what Obama is REALLY all about" to which her sister replied "I don't CARE what he's all about."

363 Killer Tomato  Thu, Oct 23, 2008 9:31:01pm

Well - stuff that I find particularly 'irksome' -

If someone breaks into my home and I shoot them to protect myself and my family, he thinks I should be prosecuted. In fact, he doesn't think I should have the ability to protect myself and my loved ones anyway. Ever heard the audio of that 911 call - 6 minutes the operator is on the phone with the woman while her stalker is breaking down the door, searching for her through the house, and finally finds her hiding in the closet. (she had a gun - she killed him - as you hear her screaming hysterically after she's shot him, you can hear the sirens in the distance)
HE thinks I should wait for the police and end up dead, or go to jail.

There probably won't be any Social Security funds left when I'm ready to retire - so now they want my 401(k) money? Who's going to stop them? Obama?

His absolute disdain for us average working shmucks. Ever seen the way he sneers and looks down his nose? We aren't allowed to ask questions or we risk being evicerated? (Joe)

I'm NOT a racist, I'm sick to death of you implying I am and I DON'T need you to heal my soul, thank you very much.

Civilian Defense Force? We have police. We have the National Guard. Why does he need his own private military force operating IN this country?

If he's so worried about security, why does he want to put us at risk by cutting our military and refusing to fund defense systems and research that would protect American cities?

I work damn hard for my belongings. I've saved for years. I want to be able to leave some of it to my nieces and nephews. He wants to 'spread the wealth' ; take my money that I've earned and saved and turn me (and my descendents) into wage slaves to support the people HE thinks should have my money. I think I should have my money.

And finally - that poll tonight shows the majority of Americans believe the media is in the tank for Obama. Why? What has he promised them? Or what have they been threatened with?

His resolution is reparations in the form of education enhancements, to redistribute the wealth, change any policy that would better the failure of white capitalistic success and give the blacks more finances, business opportunities by wealth redistribution and manipulating the taxes.

"The man who voted "present" 130 times as an Illinois legislator even cops to his own hollowness and his followers' inevitable disillusionment, Steele points out. Opening a notebook, Steele locates a wrinkled scrap of newsprint. Unfolding it, he recites a favourite quote from Obama's own memoir, The Audacity of Hope:

"I serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripes project their own views. As such, I am bound to disappoint some, if not all, of them"

Effective theme. But only the McCain campaign has the funds to put such ads on the air in any significant numbers. What can we as individuals do?

I wrote an entire essay about this exact topic. And while it may be true, we can't coast or relax. Now is when we need to turn on the afterburners. The Left is RELENTLESS.

You have a clear mind and a keen eye.

When I was actively working in the California Republican Party, I dreamed of a party that would look at the opposition with as clear and keen of an insight as you have articulated.

The left will never love us. It is worse than a waste of our time and resources to court them by trying to be more likable to them.

I LIKE that a lot - especially given his signing a pledge to take Public Financing and then reneging on it, the ACORN crap, the credit card fraud, all of it: So can you buy the Presidency? Can you fraudulently register enough non-voters to obtain election to the Presidency of the United States by Fraud?

1600 Pennsylvania Ave. with a big 'For Sale' sign out front. The Statue of Liberty with a 'For Sale' sign around her neck.
I think THAT rankles the average American more than anything - people with money think they can buy anything - that everyone has their price and everything's for sale. Even the Oval Office?
McCain and Obama both said they'd take Public Financing. McCain did. Obama raised nearly $700 million dollars from special interest groups, credit card cheats, and foreign 'investors', while the press investigated Sarah Palin's children and a Plumber.

A video, with actual clips of obama saying things that aren't true. Statement, Irrefutable Fact, or better yet self-contradiction. A clip from the debate about Obamas' abortion stance.....followed by his record on partial birth abortion. His tax plan...with his denials. His anti-war stance.....followed by his plan to invade pakistan. His contradictory stances on pulling troops out of Iraq, and see if he was ever for increasing them. His statement durring the debate regarding darfur and how he opposes genocide, set against his opposition to ending the genocides Saddam caused. His statements about respeting countries sovereignty, set against his Pakistan incursions-while we build them schools. His new-found love of "clean coal" set against his vote against the coal industry(if found) His statements about increased oil sources, set against his votes against drilling, etc. His votes of "present" set against his image of great leader. The attacks of Sarah Palin as "unvetted" set against his meager record in the senate. His list of friends and family, whom he has thrown under the bus. His denial of Rev. Wright, set against his many years in that church. His with-holding of his medical records, vs the records of a tortured vet and a mother of five. He needs to be exposed as a liar, inexperienced, a man who will say anything to gain power, Hiding his past and ungrateful for the opportunities this country has given him. Laboring under the feeling that America is an unjust oppressor, rather than a liberator. Every bit of this must be absolutely true, and proven, and clearly illustrated by his own statements and those of his friends, or by public record. The abortion bit should not go first. McCain should then be shown as the absolute pain in the butt that he has been to Bush, and Sarah shown as pilloried for trying to get rid of a child tasering drunk-driving state trooper. And only would the Democrats see this as an opportunity for scandal. It is our nature to hate a liar. If you can positively prove that Obama has lied willfully and often, and if you can get enough people to see it, McCain will win. ....This is a negative campaign method, but it is necessary because people have an image of Obama that is almost entirely made of false impressions. I do not dislike Obama, but he has made his run eight years too soon. I would like to see him when the socialist has worn off and he starts thinking for himself and realizes that some of his teachers and mentors were misguided, uniformed, or idiots. He is not a black candidate, who happens to be socialist; He is a socialist candidate, who happens to be black.

I fear you are fighting a losing game there, Zombie. The only ones who matter now are the "undecideds". And they are waiting until the last minute to cast their votes.

The only big issue I can think of is to have pictures of the housing development that Barack Obama was supposed to have helped with his mega-bucks grant. The one that is still rat and roach infested.

Is that what Barack Obama accomplished as a "community organizer"?

Agreed. I was ticked off when I heard it. Just as I was a few years ago when I heard many of our Supreme Court Justices were observing the World Court so they could learn from them. We have our own laws and constitution and don't need to learn about their corrupt laws or be governed by them. We damn well better keep our sovereignty as a nation. That would resonate with many people.

National Journalhas the campaign promises made by both candidates.
Twin City Girl has a good link up abovethat is a good angle as I think a lot of suburbanites are undecided. They believe they are to busy to actually look this stuff up. Use the candidates own campaign promises. Most candidates actually fulfill most of their promises-we only remember the ones that aren't.

Use the economic promises. Obama promises to give 95% of taxpayers a big break when the bottom 50% of taxpayers only pay 3-4% of the personal taxes, while 1% of the population pay 40%. Tht type stuff.

It's not that I'm not interested in such an approach, I just can't see how an individual or a group of anonymous online individuals can push it successfully, with the media not cooperating. Saying "We don't know much about this guy, do we?" would be an effective approach under normal circumstances, but not in 2008: that (absence of) fact has not deterred anyone from intending to vote for him so far.

Absolutely spot on.
And - with respect to zombie - I think we've all been trying to figure out ways or things which zombie can then propogate as only zombie can.
But a lot of the shit that may very well stick to Obama and turn around significant numbers of voters have been suggested out here - yours, Syrah's and IMNSHO, mine. And they maybe aren't right for Zombie - so how do we stick Obama with his reneging on his pledge to take Public Financing (only candidate to do that in 20 years - that's "Change" that we "Hope For"?) - Beat Hillary cause of the cigar filled rooms of the Superdelegates -that's Change we can Hope for? Or his Joe the Pumber "Spread the Wealth" - hey, what about YOUR KIDS - is he gonna spread the wealth to THEM? NO he isn't and that's not the Hope or Change American parents want for their kids; he's gonna screw with your retirement plans making it more difficult for you to retire in dignity - that's sure as HELL, NOT THE HOPE OR CHANGE WE WANT.
America isn't for sale to the highest bidder - whether it's credit card scams, overseas "American" money, or ACORN voter fraud (funded in part by Obama and Ayers).
I think all of the above have the right "ring" to them, but can't figure out a way that zombie can use 'em!
Damnit.
HEY ZOMBIE - how about a photoshopped montage or series showing the WH, then the Statute Of Liberty, maybe the Liberty Bell In PA, the 9/11 site etc., etc. all with "For Sale To Highest Bidder" signs on 'em?!

re: #442 Killer Tomato

If SOMEONE in the effing media would DO THEIR JOB this man would be unheard of, and we wouldn't be doing this.

An unbelievable TRUTH, of which most people are unaware - we can use this.

"Why are these people bringing up all this stuff?"

Shocking, possibly. We might be thought of as idiots, or nutcases.

But we've known the truth for how long? So long, we almost expect everyone to understand on the first telling.

Understand - they won't. This goes against EVERYTHING they hear from their TV over dinner - the one moment where most Americans feel they have some conneciton to reality, and some connection to the 'family living' they've learned while growing up.

We're different. We're the ones who have evolved, changed, adapted, understood.

Most people want normalcy in their lives, and so long as the television tells them they are normal, they will go about their lives.

Time for Dancing With the Stars

Time for Survivor

Time for The Office...

No one wants challenge.

Unless they recognize the peril.

Then, Americans, if they're still the Americans who came from abject poverty, raised an incredible army dedicated to freedom around the world, recycled tin cans into the machinery that devastated the Nazis, will recognize that socialists have sneaked into their liberal tent, and beat the fucking tar out of them.

Yeah. If The Zero is elected, we'll probably have nothing but 4 more years of on-going praises and worshipful attendance...hanging on The Zero's every word, repeating every syllable in stunned awe of The Greatness of the Dear Leader.

Ya'll seem to hold the media in higher esteem than i do. They feed off of each other when their isn't another victim in sight. I don't even think they will give him the traditional "honeymoon" before starting to shred him.

When the people finally see the "emperor is wearing no clothes" they will go for blood in a major way and the press will lead the way.

478 JohnGaltLives  Thu, Oct 23, 2008 10:14:20pm

Given Zombie's idea... One thing that would be helpful if someone would create some one page fliers, small signs etc. and then post them on LGF. We could down load the pdfs and then print them. I for one am already working on fliers I can pass out in the area.

They cannot lose face. No matter what happens, he will be absolved of everything. They cannot admit that they were wrong.

The focus of Zombie's efforts needs to be in these states:

FL, MO, NC, OH, VA, CO

What would work best to get the word out to folks with limited internet access in these states?

Target areas of independent voters with fliers. A simple one-pager linking Obama to Ayers and Wright. Mention he has THE MOST liberal voting record in congress. Point out he has never held any job longer than two years without seeking a new job. Ever.

The best fliers are found on places like PUMAPac. They have ones you can print off and copy.

Do not forget that they are our allies, the PUMAs. They have experience in dealing with Obama's tactics, they are pissed, and they want revenge.

A-hah! Here we go:

Obama's Funny Money, or Who's "Loving" "You," Barry?

The FEC has compiled a separate database of potentially questionable overseas donations that contains more than 11,500 contributions totaling $33.8 million. More than 520 listed their “state” as “IR,” often an abbreviation for Iran. Another 63 listed it as “UK,” the United Kingdom.

More than 1,400 of the overseas entries clearly were U.S. diplomats or military personnel, who gave an APO address overseas. Their total contributions came to just $201,680. But others came from places as far afield as Abu Dhabi, Addis Ababa, Beijing, Fallujah, Florence, Italy, and a wide selection of towns and cities in France.

Until recently, the Obama Web site allowed a contributor to select the country where he resided from the entire membership of the United Nations, including such friendly places as North Korea and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Unlike McCain’s or Sen. Hillary Clinton’s online donation pages, the Obama site did not ask for proof of citizenship until just recently....

I just want to point out that liberals think that being "liberal" is a sign that they're "civilized." To liberals, "liberal" is not a dirty word. Also, a lot of people don't really know what is wrong with socialism. They think that "socialism" means caring about one's fellow man/woman. "Socialism" is not a dirty word.

Somehow, any simple message for McCain has to get across the idea that he will help defend America and that he will help make the economy work for all the American people. Obama's ideas will help only the chosen few.

I really don't have concrete ideas on how to get the message across. Many people don't understand the most simple ideas of basic economics. They think that the U.S. has unlimited wealth and this wealth can be given to the "less fortunate." They don't understand how this wealth has been created.

The Columbia years. Someone knows something.

That is my gut feeling at the moment. That's what my urge is to investigate. We are on the same wavelength. Something don't smell right about the Columbia years. Something is being hidden.

And this dovetails with the Ayers ghostwriting rumor. Because in Ayers' own memoir, he too glossed over and omitted inconvenient and embarrassing parts of his life. Obama did the same. Very intriguing parallel.

re: #507 realwest

Realwest is right, man. Whatever silver bullet we're looking for, we're missing the opportunity to simply cause doubt in the minds of people who simply, mindlessly will vote (D).

They will have apprehensions, but given no push in the other direction, they will be happy to just vote and get it over with.

They don't know.

They don't know what we know.

They don't know that a vote for Obama, aside from assuaging their liberal guilt, will drag this nation deeper towards socialism, and wreck this nation's economy, and wreck the economy of every nation on earth.

They don't know that a wrecked American economy means a draw-back of the American naval protection that has guaranteed commerce the world around.

They don't understand this.

They don't understand that because an aircraft battle group patrols the Indian Ocean means that most shipments of weapons to Gaza are curtailed.

They don't understand that because the American Navy is diligent in the Pacific Ocean - and the Coast Guard, closer by, a wayward cargo ship loaded with RCBN weapons has little chance of reaching our shores.

Another angle - that the media has not provided.

Demonize the media in the coming weeks for it - at my #60 -

Media bias should be the mantra for the next two weeks - pointing out to regular Americans how they are being played like suckers by punks who think they're better than regular Americans.

The 1982 Columbia yearbook, when he was a junior, might also be worth a look. Not only because it theoretically should have his 'official' (as opposed to off-campus) extracurricular activities listed, but also because it would give the names of the 1982 graduates for possible name-recognition and the like.

OK, now I'm going to toss some things out there to show exactly what I'm thinking of. I want stories/leads/rumors with this kind of simplicity and punch:

- Is Obama taking Prozac or some other SSRI? Is that why we are not allowed to see his medical records? I would not be surprised. And if it came out, it would destroy his candidacy (think: Lawrence Eagleberger). I have absolutely no proof it is true, only heard very vague rumors. But if it was true, it would indeed be a bombshell. A copy of his medical records showing this would be devastating.

- Was Obama involved in the final Weather Underground bombing in 1981? Some of the bombers had connections to Columbia, and Obama was a student there at that time, and possibly ran in the same circles, as he had the same political interest (Apartheid). I think this has a chance of actually being true, though again I have no proof. But I'm tempted to spent some hours pursuing it.

- Were his mother, his father, his stepfather and his mentor all communists? Again, an interesting possibility.

...What else you got? Something easily understood by an apolitical person in under 10 seconds. Use these ideas as a model.

Yup. We shouldn't have to be "Ready to ride and spread the alarm

The problem is trying to convince average folks that the friendly faces they welcome into their homes each morning/evening are blatantly lying to them and the seemingly nice young man is actually a player and a user.

525 stevieray  Thu, Oct 23, 2008 11:06:22pm

If we could get Rush, Beck, Hannity, or Fox to pick up on the loose credit card donor issue it would crush his credibility, So far, the MSM won't investigate it, they actually make excuses and pretend it is just a simple mistake, when in reality it is intentional fraud.

The simplified version to tell your friends:

Obama's donation system doesn't care what name you use, only that the credit card number is valid.

Obama's donation system doesn't care what address you use, only that the credit card number is valid.

Obama's donation system doesn't care about the validation number at all, it never even asks for it.

Federal law limits the amount you can donate to a campaign, and requires the campaign to record your name, your address, and the amount given... and that you report it to the FEC every month.

Obama cannot do this accurately because they don't know who actually gave ANY of the money to his campaign!

Every report he filed with the FEC is by definition fraudulent. His reports do not prove that any name and address actually match up to any donation.

He cannot prove that ANY donor is below the limit because his system only cares about valid credit card numbers, and it doesn't demand a real name or a real address to donate!

He could be charged with millions of FEC violations, and may even face millions of wire fraud charges!

Just found an old post stating that Obama's first speech at Occidental was at an SDS forum:

Today, June 23, 2008, the blog Gateway Pundit adds another piece to the selective history of Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.).

Barack Obama's first public speech was at an Occidental College event sponsored by the Students for a Democratic—Society a militantly leftist organization. 60's radical Tom Hayden played a pivotal role both as founder and as principal author of this student group's basic manifesto, the "Port Huron Statement." This document condemned the American political system as the cause of international conflict and a variety of social ills -- including racism, materialism, militarism, and poverty.

re: #353 Intrepid

FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!

Best comment of the night! Quoted in full so people read it again.

re: #528 Pvt Bin Jammin

EXCELLENT rumor!

I will look into it.

A gold star for you.

re: #523 zombie

I'd stay away from the SSRI thing - the vast majority of Americans are on them and that would only engender sympathy.

I'm looking for Hayden & Obama images right now. Who knows?

re: #362 realwest

ARRRGGGH! Zombie you know how much I respect you and the truly GREAT WORK you've done. But you're still looking for some scandal or "bomb" in Obama's closet that the MSM can't ignore. My #300 and #333 don't depend on finding anything like that - they go right to the heart of what I honestly believe concerns most Americans.
We gotta get Mom and Dad America - and not just Republican Mom and Dad America or those few truly undecideds, to get the gut reaction that Obama is gonna be bad for their kids and for them economically RIGHT AFTER HE'S ELECTED PRESIDENT.

I don't disagree with you. As I said above, it's not like we're choosing the winner of a contest, and only one idea can be pursued. I'm just trying to stir debate and get a bunch of ideas out on the table. Perhaps they ALL can be pursued.

Each person has his or her strengths in what they're good at doing. Some people are excellent "social persuaders," some are good blog-post phrasers, some are good a graphics, some have money to fund projects, some have the bravery to protest or counter-protest, some are good at digging up unexpected scoops (that's me), and some are good at volunteering for the campaign.

Each person go with your strength. Choose your strategy, and run with it.

re: #369 Noam Sayin'

Realwest is right. The "gotcha" thing has been done to death in all kinds of contests for the last 40 years. The Democrats have excelled at it. By now, people have built a defense against it.

We need them to stop and consider - just long enough - the information that will dissuade them from making the mistake that could ruin America forever.

But "gotcha"s work. The book review of Ayers book with Obama's picture next to it was just that -- a "gotcha." Obama's eyes were on the exact same level as Ayers' name. It was perfect.

But did that post have anything to do with health care or the economy or nuclear war? No. But damn it went super-viral and was extremely effective.

Something very simple and trivial can help.

537 Winslow  Thu, Oct 23, 2008 11:29:33pm

zombie -
Beautiful job on the Ayers book.
One tiny correction:
In Ayers' Current Views, paragraph 3, sentence 4, "diminuation" should be "diminution."
Sorry to nit-pick!

re: #375 realwest

I LIKE that a lot - especially given his signing a pledge to take Public Financing and then reneging on it, the ACORN crap, the credit card fraud, all of it: So can you buy the Presidency? Can you fraudulently register enough non-voters to obtain election to the Presidency of the United States by Fraud?

All those issue are excellent and OUGHT to be trumpeted by the media.

But the whole point of my question is that the media is 100% on Obama's side. They will not cooperate in promoting anything that makes him look bad. Unless, that is, we leave them no choice.

That's why we need gotcha's.

Not really familiar with this blog but they're saying the O/B campaign has a secret group that is trying to stifle talk about the Ayers connection:

Zombie, the only person you have to worry about disappointing is yourself!
We're with you! Just give us an idea of what kinds of things would help you get what you need!
I feel like we're playing a game of charades!
What do you envision?

Well, I didn't want to influence the free flow of ideas with my limited concepts -- I purposely let everyone speak freely. Free association.

But I finally got around to posting the kind of thing I was thinking about in comment #523 above.

Yeah. If The Zero is elected, we'll probably have nothing but 4 more years of on-going praises and worshipful attendance...hanging on The Zero's every word, repeating every syllable in stunned awe of The Greatness of the Dear Leader.

Most definitely.

HEY ZOMBIE - how about a photoshopped montage or series showing the WH, then the Statute Of Liberty, maybe the Liberty Bell In PA, the 9/11 site etc., etc. all with "For Sale To Highest Bidder" signs on 'em?!

I'm no good at Photoshop. I mean, really no good. A rank amateur. I wouldn't even attempt such an image.

Well all y'all it's been an interesting and frustrating night out here, I've posted ideas on at least 6 different comments (300,333,362,375, and 472) and while several of you "up dinged" me for some of them they really haven't gained any traction at all - which of course frustrates the hell outta me cause I'm really just tryng to help. And I'm apparently not helping.Anyway, zombie, I wish you the best and hope you find that bombshell or skeleton in the closet or whatever, otherwise I think we just have to all do our best, blogging, working in the field for McCain, hell send him a copy of this entire thread!
But I can't handle anymore y'all I just gotta get some sleep NOW.
So I hope you all have a GREAT EVENING/EARLY MORNING and that I get the chance to see you all down the road.

Good night, all.

Hey, your ideas were all excellent. Everything is a contribution to the discussion. I'm hoping someone read what you wrote and is acting on it right now.

Thousands of people read these threads that are not registered and cannot comment. One never knows the effect any comment might have.

re: #509 Sylvester_T_Cat

One thing that seems to be under the radar at the moment is the two years he spent at Occidental in the L.A. area. It's almost like he hopped directly from Punahou HS to Columbia... but he didn't. Think there might be anything accessible from those years?

Occidental and Columbia. The missing years. Good idea.

re: #442 Killer Tomato

If SOMEONE in the effing media would DO THEIR JOB this man would be unheard of, and we wouldn't be doing this.
I hope they're the first ones strung up - wipe the snarky smirks off their faces. Bastards, all of them.

If the populaceobamatron had a brain, this would have never made it past "Rev." Wright much less all the volumes of material following that insanity. Any voter not swayed by what has already been grudgingly presented by the antiquated media, must somehow agree with that point of view. We have been beating our heads against BDS for years to no avail. The CDC couldn't cure it with factcinations. The only people who could possible vote for Obama are the ones afflicted with BDS, and the first symptoms of that disease are blindness, deafness, loss of self worth and a necrotic hardening of the gray matter. We are not fighting BHO as much as we are still fighting BDS. Obama and Biden feed BDS to the Obamatrons constantly and they lap it up. The media reinfects the Obamatrons at every opportunity. Hollywood just released "W" to keep the infection levels high. The best way to keep the "undecided" voter away from BHO is to keep them from being infected with BDS. It a tall order because it's on toilet seats and doorknobs everywhere. Facts, facts, and more facts. If seeing "rev" Wright didn't do it, just keep pounding concrete facts into that flaky wall of BS that is BDS. Acronymic rant off.

553 kaymad  Fri, Oct 24, 2008 7:35:35am

Here is a headline from CNN, "McCain sticker blamed in attack". If I just read the headline I would conclude that a McCain (bumper?) sticker jumped from somewhere and attacked someone.

Knowing McCain's alleged temper I'm sure it was an unprovoked attack by the sticker.

re: #523 zombie

I just thought of something else...(sorry if this is redundant)...Over and over again we hear about all the people Obama's thrown under the bus. That is, all the people who he suddenly wishes to disavow (separate) himself from...Well, I think Obama is also not just throwing other people under the bus, Obama is attempting to throw his own past under the bus...it is obama's own history he is trying to re-construct...to recreate...as if, somehow, the past is irrelevant...Could this be used as a Motif or a Theme? Those who seek to bury/ignore the past? But the past will come back to haunt them...

re: #74 CIA Reject

If the MSM invested one tenth of the resources in investigating BO that they have poured into digging dirt on Gov. Palin BO would still be sitting in the Senate waiting for his next chance to vote "present".

That answer is just brilliant! Wish I'd thought of it.
