OK, over in the Wall Street Urinal's Oppinion section, in the article titled, "The Europeanization of America"

A nice, well meaning person, with whom I have no umbrage, but with whose ideas one must absolutely insist on correcting -- for the sanity of all logic-minded mankind, writes that"

"Barack Obama is likely to become the next president of the United States. Six weeks ago John McCain was leading Mr. Obama. But [ed: emphasis mine] according to RealClearPolitics, as of yesterday Mr. Obama led in the national polls ..."

OK, STOP. Just stop with the G*d Damned references to the "Real Clear Politics" aka RCP polls -- especially the "RCP National Average" numbers.

The RCP average is mathematically meaningless. It is a morass of meaningless data that people everywhere appear to be accepting as meaningful -- to the determent of all.

For any given individual "poll" result mentioned by RCP, one can say that one can take a measure of the amount of bias in the poll; e.g., establish a degree to which sample selection bias and push-polling play a role; then one can make rational decisions based upon focusing on that poll.

However, when one takes a group of poll results, without their similar associated measurements of individual poll-bias, and just throws the numbers together in an average, then since the information about the bias is absent -- information without which the poll results have no meaning -- THE AVERAGE HAS NO MEANING.

Anyone who tries to sell you on the validity of meta-poll results, like (but not necessarily limited to) results like the RCP National Average, are intellectual dog poop mongers.

Now, some of those people are well-meaning intellectual dog poop mongers, and you and I can certainly forgive them -- but a correction must occur.

So, let's please take our heritage of logic and intellectual development a little more seriously, seriously.

His domain was stolen out from under him, in an apparent attempt to shake him down for more money to reregister the domain. This despite telling them within ample time that he was going to do so.

Last I heard, his lawyer readership was telling him to sue. He's at patterico.net now.

If you have the NoScripts plugin you will need to allow the site to run javascript.

It shouldn't require any plug-ins. My best guess is that you have Javascript turned off. Go into the preferences/properties, and try turning on Javascript.

I'm guessing your missing the flash player

BTW you mentioned archiving youtube videos on the previous thread. There are several firefox plugins that make it easy to download videos. I use DownloadHelper

Firefox can be one buggy browser. I'm tempted to just go back to FF 1.5.

I want to point your attention to an ugly fact: Obama's official site now has a section explicitly targeting kids age 12 and under, urging them to persuade their parents and grandparents to vote for him. The same age group is protected by regulations even when it comes to marketing of products like candies and cereal. The site also offers a "kit" for people who want to orgnanize Obama events for kids. Here're a few quotes to give you feel of it:

For the first time in campaign history, children ages 12 and under, have a place to go and actually vote—through their voice. What a great way to be introduced to politics and to express your support for Senator Obama.

Implement T-Shirt Thursday. Get friends to wear an official Obama for America T-Shirt to school. Take an adult (voting age) to the polls on Election Day and encourage them to vote for you, by voting for Senator Obama.

I've written a post that walks through the site; feel free to use it the way you see fit. It'd be great if you could highlight this issue on LGF. I think some parents can still change their opinion of Obama once they hear this.

AFAIK< all ballots are supposed to be held until the close of the polls on election day. then, and only then, are they supposed to be counted.
