For what it's worth, I believe it's more accurate to say the New York Sun did good work.

Normally I'm to slow a reader to get in on this, but the list is easy. People who are plotting the destruction of America.

Interesting list there, good to have the date and place confirmed because that helps narrow the search.

That's quite a guest list. I have to admit that I was surprised to see Chicago Mayor Richard Daley on that list, though I probably shouldn't have been. Obama is a product of the Daley political machine, after all.

Less than a week from the election and it is amazing the that vetting is just beginning on BHO...Drip.Drip.Drip.

The worthwhile original story, from the New York Sun:

A big farewell dinner was held in their honor by AAAN with a commemorative book filled with testimonials from their friends and political allies. These included the left wing anti-war group Not In My Name, the Electronic Intifada, and the ex-Weatherman domestic terrorists Bernadine Dohrn and Bill Ayers. (There were also testimonials from then-state Senator Barack Obama and the mayor of Chicago.)

The message sent by Columbia University officials by this choice was that they were determined to honor the memory of Edward Said by continuing to have radical Palestinian activism on campus. That's what they now have in spades.

Here is a link to the New York Sun article from Feb 4, 2005 detailing the "Hate fest" attended by Barack Obama. His name appears about 11 paragraphs into the article.

Do you think that one of these guys attended the festivities or has access to the video tape? They sure had an awful lot of information about the event in any case.

Hey all y'all - just sort of a drive by posting here - off to doc now (a different doctor than the one this morning) but I had to crow just a touch - I mentioned on one of the earlier threads that the reason I thought the LA Slimes wouldn't release the video wasn't so much because of what Obama might have said, but that perhaps Billy Ayers and his ever so charming wife, Bernadine Dohrn may have attended and Obama didn't want a video tape out there showing him socializiing with them!
Hot damn! And of course Mayor "King" Daley!

It's been talked about since 2004, at least (in the media). Obama was asked after his victory in 2004 whether he would run this year. He said no, he wouldn't be ready, and he'd have to spend all his time in the Senate campaigning. And ta da! Here we are!

What makes this woman a distinguished "poet?" NOTHING. Artistically, this poem would be 3rd rate for a high school student.

By calling her an "artist" and a "poet," people can legitimize her and spread her work around on the grounds that they are promoting "art."
And no one can be held accountable for applauding her, because it's not necessarily the message, you see, it's the artistry.

The degradation of Western art, the contempt for traditional standards in something like poetry, may seem trivial to many. It is not.

That was my line of thinking!

So, either:

1. a video exists and it's damning,
2. No video exists, or
3. A video exists and it can be explained away or otherwise justified.

As much as I want to believe #1, I have not yet seen any evidence. So it's hard to get excited about this story.

Nope, Harvard Law, where he won a spot on the law review at the end of his first year, and was elected its president a year later. Pretty good work for a guy who didn't graduate from Columbia with honors.

Last night I was on Hillbuzz and someone posted a link to a site that sells Obama merch. The thing about this merchandise was that most of it had what I would describe as the Communist Red Star on it. I checked it out, was a bit freaked out, sent it to Charles and went to bed.

This morning I wanted to send the site to a friend of mine, pulled up the merch site and found that all the red stars had been removed, removed from the front page. In any case, someone is using the commie red star on Obama goods. Little bit scary.

I've looked into the claim that the International Republican Institute gave a grant to a Rashid Khalidi front group and it does appear to be true.

However, there's a very serious difference between that and Obama's association with Khalidi. Obama was a friend of Khalidi, had dinner at Khalidi's house many times, and attended parties with Khalidi that were full of radicals of every stripe. The relationship was a close, personal one, and it would have been impossible for Obama not to know about Khalidi's past with the PLO or his radical anti-Israel views.

The McCain relationship to this case is much more distant. He served as chairman of a foundation that gave grants to many organizations, among them one of Khalidi's.

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08″ tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference–just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need–the homeless guy outside.

The server angrily stormed from my sight. I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more.

The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient needed the money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

No. It's the one story building on the south side of the street. Look at it in "street view". You can see the sign that says "Burbank Manor". It's a small place, with about 85 parking places. I've been past there several times in the past.

Expect that a large donation to Harvard greased the skids for his admission. And while he was president of the law review, nobody seems to remember him as a student (like at Columbia). Read somewhere that he graduated magna cum laude. But nobody remembers him? The man that never was? He was an undistinguished student everywhere he went prior to Harvard Law. I wonder if his presence and his transcript are artifacts that were computer generated.

I have Obama election anxiety. I think about him winning - or losing - all day long. I watch TV news with heightened stress and pray there is no October surprise. I fret while listening to the multi-cultural NPR shows that thoughtfully debate and discuss the impact of race, age and gender on voting. I worry about Election Day celebrations and hope that we can all keep our heads, no matter the outcome. But there is a whole other section to my Obama anxiety; my ridiculously emotional reaction to everything Obama.

I cry when I hear the swelling of his voice at the climax of his speeches. I cry when I see pictures of him and his wife on Huffington Post. I cry when I hear Stevie Wonder. I want to throw my arms around people wearing Obama clothes. I cried today because my friend Raul who works for Obama is next to him in a new, very sweet video about a stellar volunteer:

That Charles is amazing. I wanted to be married for 69 years and now it's too late! UGH! More tears! I'm already a basketcase and now, this: Yes we can hold babies, a blog with pictures of Obama and children from around the country. Check it out, especially the little African American boys who simply look up, smiling and in awe of this man running for president. I am O-motional for them, too. Where are my tissues?!?

What's scary is what someone like this will be willing to do if The Marxist One wins.

Suggestion for you...I'm currently reading "Tsar", by Ted Bell...excellent book.

Just finished listening to it this morning. I concur. Excellent book. This is the first Ted Bell book I have listened to, however I have already downloaded Pirate to begin on the drive home!

"Politicians would love to have a pet newspaper of their very own. In this case we have a newspaper willing to throw aside even the public's right to know in order to protect a candidate that its own editorial board has endorsed. If there's a Pulitzer prize category, for excellence in kowtowing, the L.A. Times wins."

I cannot tell you how happy this makes me - God I love this woman!

I think you have missed nothing. You are exactly correct. The source is irrelevant; no one has asked about the source, but a lot of people want to see the video, which we know exists because they've already said it exists and that they have it.

Basically, they came up with this "reason" for not releasing it because:
1. It sounds good - all high & mighty & "ethical" like.
2. They think people are too stupid to see through it.

CNN has more than their share of moonbat pie.

G-d forbid that O is elected, it will be the utmost secretive administration in all of US history. Dirtier than anything the CIA could achieve. The world will be then run by criminal thugs and I do fear for the future of us all on this planet.

I disagree. Obama associated with these people because he shares their views. If Obama was in fact the post-racial political moderate he pretends to be, his election would be assured, and in my opinion, not such a bad thing. The fact is Obama is a racialist & a leftist. He has been since his teen years. If voters actually knew the facts about Obama, he would never get elected. That's where the media connivance comes in.
