Election? Don't you mean "Coronation" Charles?

I am still not convince McCain will lose. Not in the least.

9 newsjunkie_ky  Sat, Nov 1, 2008 10:13:38am

I'm still staying positive and optimistic.
Most of the families that came by last night for TorT said positive things about McCain/Palin (kept signs up). Those I didn't know, must live a few blocks away and they said nothing. One family (with The Zero's signs in their yard) that I dearly love brought relatives' kids. We mainly talked about Meggie and how they missed seeing me walk her.
All the kids love my house, I give out full size candy bars.

The Fourth of November

Remember, remember, this fourth of November,
The radicals’ treasonous plot.
I know of no reason the radicals’ treason
Should e’er be forgiv’n or forgot.

The Sixties were waning, and Leftists were claiming
That radical changes were due.
Their Marxist solution was armed revolution:
The Weathermen made their debut.

The radicals raged on the national stage, and
Horrific explosions ensued.
Their bombs were dramatic, but also erratic;
They sometimes killed radicals, too.

The Leftists grew older, the underground, colder,
And so they came in from the cold.
“Subvert from within – in the long run, we’ll win,” said
The Leftists, determined and bold.

And thus it began – this nefarious plan – and
The radicals slowly took charge:
Complete infiltration of all education;
The long institutional march.

The journalist schools would produce useful fools, for
The Left would need media shills.
And Hollywood, too, would assist in the coup, with
Its slick propagandizing skills.

“Community action” would build a new faction;
’Twould organize proles on the street.
A smooth politician would front for the mission,
And run for the president’s seat.

The radicals’ goal, which they proudly extol, is
A communist U.S. of A.
Collectivist schemes lead to brutal regimes, and
For this do the radicals pray.

But Jefferson’s aim, with the Charters he framed, was
To guard individual rights.
And “redistribution” was not a solution,
But one of the evils to fight.

So let us remember, this fourth of November,
Just what is at stake on this date.
Will Jefferson’s dream, or the radicals’ scheme, now
Determine America’s fate?

11 pat  Sat, Nov 1, 2008 10:15:04am

If Obama is elected brace yourselves. The media fawning will not end, it will only increase. Just as Jimmy Carter was considered a military and diplomatic genius by the MSM (if only it weren't for that pesky hostage calendar), so will the MSM again praise every decision the Messiah makes. They have too much invested.

Well Lizards,
I shall prognosticate.
I think McCain is going to win.
I'll tell you why.
1. Joe the Plumber
2. The Greek Columns
3. That horrid neverending story, 'Obama's Plan For America' (It reminds me of Communist TV)
4. ACORN
5. The 30 minute propaganda infomercial.

My neck is now stretched on the chopping block of history.

Time will tell what kind of prognosticator I really am eh?

No, there will be no Republicans to blame things on. I think he will be turned on in a second by the MSM and Fox News will be then only one to treat him fairly.

I always do. Almost didn't do Halloween this year (didn't decorate) but two of the neighborhood kids mentioned how they couldn't wait to come to my house for TorT, so I couldn't disappoint them.
Also if The Zero should win, this will be the last year.

re: #11 pat

You know, I have given this some thought. And I respectfully disagree with you.

I have a feeling that when they are denied their usual whipping boy, they would turn on Obama. Mostly because there will be SO MUCH nasty stuff that would come out after the election. It will be so blatant, and so 'out there' that even they will not be able to let it slide. Oh, and one more thing. If he gets elected, they are NOT going to like his style of not answering questions, and being left out of the loop.

I don't think Obama will get a free ride for more than a month from the MSM.

But let us hope we don't have to find out.

Obama to Farmers: Stop Growing Food

I had a dream night before last that woke me up in a cold sweat - that we had massive crop failures - because the seed was tainted by Obama thugs - because Obama wanted complete gov't takeover of the agiculture industry.

I've been watching the eco nazis trying to put farmers out of business via back door legislation (CERCLA/manure mgmt) - and this food miles crap.

But...
He will not be able to stem the leftist tide alone. We must continue to support him after he's elected. We must work with the moderate Democrats who are couragous enough to cross party lines and vote for McCain. They are working to save our great nation, just as we are.

Thank God for them.

Frankly, his style stinks as bad as his plane. He won't answer questions, he is vindictive to the extreme, he is perpetually late but makes the reporters take their seats hours before the plane departs, and he collects personal information and favors to use against reporters and newspapers. I am surprised we haven't seen someone go off key. But the newsroom and the editorial room are with open doors now. And the editorialists are calling the shots.

Just posted this message on a thread from yesterday. Since it seems now to be a "dead thread" I am taking the liberty of posting it here again.

Re the LAT's reticence on the mystery video -- Here is a wild guess . . .

It has been widely reported that the keep-it-a-secret item is that Obama said in effect "Down with Israel. Up with Palestine."

But would that change the voting decision of any decisive number of people? I am inclined to doubt it.

Maybe the keep-it-a-secret item is something else entirely -- Something that would rile a lot of voters not much moved by the subject of Israel?

If so, the LAT and the Obamatons have good reason to let the public GO ON THINKING MISTAKENLY that the secret pertains to Israel.

Maybe, then, the real secret is . . . [fill in whatever you think would be the worst one].

Asshole doesn't understand that people are responsible for the food they put into their mouths.

That one is totally out of his mind! The output of the agricultural sector, if eaten fresh, is the healthiest thing for us. It is the processing and sweetening and frying and otherwise adulterating the food, plus excessive consumption with insufficient exercise, that causes health probels. Is he really that stupid?

I suspect not, but that it is all part of jhis Marxist playbook to attack the agricultural sector, and other sectors.

re: #47 jamsler

McCain is going to win.

But...
He will not be able to stem the leftist tide alone. We must continue to support him after he's elected. We must work with the moderate Democrats who are couragous enough to cross party lines and vote for McCain. They are working to save our great nation, just as we are.

Thank God for them.

I vow that after McCain wins, I will not become complacent but rather continue to fight against obamunisim until it is no more.

VOTE!

McCain/Palin '08

Once we get McCain elected unofotuntely its gonna be hard to keep him from being "Bi-Partisan" (acting like a Lib).
I'm worried that He's gonna put some Libs in the Cabinet, and try to make nicy nice with the media and we all know what that means.

just finished reading what he says about you and i don't think he wants to pick a fight only to protect his good name. he is just more open to the Europeans than you (which may or may not be neo-fascists i don't know) and he is not as crazy as Pamela geller has become.

If he is comfortable with fascists, he has no good name to protect. That said, while your post is not out of bounds, I'd advise against pursuing this topic further. Charles has already made up his mind, argument will only anger him. It's his blog, he has the right to decide who is welcome to post on it.

This is serious stuff - and I am truly frightened.

The Zero is truly an idiot!

Hey Mandy!

that 'greenhouse gas from the ag sector' line? Supposedly that comes from cows - both beef and dairy. The push is on to not eat meat - it's already started in the UK. Milk? Well, that can be replaced by soy.

I'm not joking.

Mebbe I need to get a dairy cow.

Before they do anything w/agriculture or power companies, there is one resource they absolutely MUST control.

Water. And states have been fighting over water rights for awhile now (see Nevada, Arizona, Calif). The largest water user in Calif is the ag sector.

Indirectly, yes. They'll go after the 'industrial ag producers' like Hormel, Tysons, Purdue, etc., with onerous taxes and legislation (I'm serious about the manure mgmt/clean air/clean water issue - the fines they want for infractions would put anyone out of business) Then, when it's bailout time - voila! The gov't now owns your ass.

Now many independent producers are contracted to these industrial producers to sell their product to them. They will now be contracted to sell to the gov't -

This evening's nightmares are going to be doozies.

Voter suppression does not always work like the media and politicians think. An analysis of 2000 Florida showed that it was the Fox declaration that Bush won that stopped people in the panhandle from voting, not the polls by NBC and CBS showing Gore ahead. People did not vote because they thought they had already won. The MSMs anger at Fox for the early call was entirely misdirected.

This promise is sure to be forgotten (not to mention remain unfulfilled): Secure loose nuclear materials from terrorists: Obama and Biden will secure all loose nuclear materials in the world within four years, and will negotiate a verifiable global ban on the production of new nuclear weapons material to curb the spread of nuclear weapons.

First we'd better clean up our own act, regarding security of our nukes. Note that the Air Force didn't find out about this underground fire in one of their nuke silos until 5 days later:

[Link: www.military.com...]

Geez, first the B52 nuke security "error" in 2007, and now this. What's the public supposed to think about Air Force security?

Standard Air Force Security PR message: "Rest easy, folks, we're always right on top of incidents like this, at least within a week or two. Nothing can ever go wrong, -- go wrong -- go wrong -- go wrong -- go wrong -- go wrong -- go wrong -- go wrong -- go wrong -- go wrong -- go wrong -- go wrong (bleep)."

Hey, I'm here.

Has anyone seen or read MSM reports about the Bush administration having to get over 500 tons of yellow cake (uranium ore) out of Iraq secretly in order to avoid terrorist attacks or theft, all the while the MSM, Joe Wilson, and the rest on the left have been blasting him about no WMD threat from Saddam? Where's the journalistic integrity? Talk about manipulation of public thiniking.

Here's a link to msnbc running an AP story from July of this year.

Hi Lizards! Sure missed y'all while I took a trip down to visit purple VA, and some of its GOP volunteer headquarters.....

Spent my first night home on Halloween, standing out on my porch surrounded by my NJ neighbors, all of us giving out treats to the kids. Now here's what was interesting... we haven't done much political chatting with these acquaintances, because we know that every single year, they have had Democrat election posters and voted as middle and upper middle class moderate (i.e., not far-left) Dems.

But a few minutes into our TorT get-together, someone mentioned Tito the Builder, and I was shocked and thrilled to learn that none of them, not one, would be voting for Barack Obama. Some are Hillary supporters furious that the nomination was stolen from a more centrist Democrat, some were disgusted that their party is being hijacked by a cabal of sixties radicals trying for a coup with an empty suit candidate with NO achievements. But they ALL knew every detail of the Obama scandals, from fundraising to Annenberg to his shuttered past.

And all my very blue NJ neighbors discovered this how? By becoming faithful Fox news fans from August through November. SO, I'm wondering how this all fits in with the polls - but it was a VERY pleasant 'welcome home'

=)

The campaign of Sen. Barack Obama will refund a small number of contributions made by Obama's aunt,

The woman, Zeituni Onyango, lives in public housing in Boston and is the half-sister of Obama's late father.
The Associated Press reported today that Obama's aunt had been instructed to leave the country four years ago by an immigration judge who rejected her request for asylum from her native Kenya.
Obama campaign reports filed with the Federal Election Commission show Onyango gave $265 to the campaign. Foreign nationals are not permitted to donate to American presidential campaigns.
"Given the information that has been brought to our attention, the contributions are being refunded," Ben LaBolt, an Obama campaign spokesman, told The Washington Post this morning.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali is about as non-fascistic as most socialist pols. She isn't in bed with the neanderthals, but she isn't any more saintly in not siding with fascists. I haven't read anything of her, or from her that leads me to believe that she is a promoter of liberty, in any true fashion. re: #203 Jimmah

There has been a lot of talk here in Europe lately about the impending global recession paying off for the various racist nationalist elements across the continent.

Interesting timing on the part of those who are now choosing to stand with these sort of people, methinks.

I think it is a matter of incumbent backlash, like the Obama phenomena in America. The ethnic nationalist parties are almost all coalition parties that don't stand on the single issue of ethnicity.

I believe that the support for these parties in most of Europe is in spite of their racist views and not because of them. Even in relatively 'conservative' European nations, the mainstream political spectrum is a disctinction between which party is centrist and which is far left.

With the growing support of these quasi-fascist coalition parties cutting into mainstream voters it is likely that the 'conservative' barely right of center parties will take up the standard of the non-racially charges issues that VB and their ilk allegedly support and in the process steal back their voting blocs and leave the fringe parties without the semblance of credibility.

We are already starting to see this in some places in Europe with the hardline multiculti socialists falling out of favor and 'conservatives' on the rise. It isn't simply the ethnic nationalists gaining the favor of the voters, but the far-left socialists bleeding them to every other party.

So, BHO accepted donations from his illegal immigrant Aunti Zeituni? Isn't a pesky campaign finance law broken when you take a donation from a foreign national, either in-country or out?

UK.

Ah, yes. I was reading in one of the Brit papers today that support for the troops has gone up and recruitment is up 12% - however, some of the natives told me that it is the 'silent majority' coming out - they're sick and tired of how the troops have been treated, the multi-culti crap - and the taxes. Not to mention the council nazis using anti-terror laws to spy on people about when they put their trash out.

It was a very strange piece indeed. It was as though she were trying to establish some sort of 'moderate credentials'...by mitigating condemnation of a murderous zealot. Way to go, GOV...

WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL WITH THIS?
His mother was an American citizen. Obama could have been born on the friggin' moon - he'd still be a citizen.

They didn't "purportedly" verify it -- they verified it, period.

I'm not deleting your post because it shows just how wrong and dumb this idiotic rumor was.

I'll be frank- she was being what you'd expect from a racist. She didn't care about those girls because they weren't white.

re: #34 Davida

You know, I have given this some thought. And I respectfully disagree with you.

I have a feeling that when they are denied their usual whipping boy, they would turn on Obama. Mostly because there will be SO MUCH nasty stuff that would come out after the election. It will be so blatant, and so 'out there' that even they will not be able to let it slide. Oh, and one more thing. If he gets elected, they are NOT going to like his style of not answering questions, and being left out of the loop.

I don't think Obama will get a free ride for more than a month from the MSM.

But let us hope we don't have to find out.

unless they are afraid of the thuggery. . . and getting kicked off the plane. . .

re: #214 Scion9

I agree. All the more reason to stick close to the real issues, and keep as far away as possible from the opportunistic fringe loons and their sick agendas.

I noticed that Spencer is repeating on his site the strawman that people here are saying that he himself is a neo-nazi. He can win that argument quite easily - problem is no-one here has made that argument.

The actual argument is that he is giving a platform to people who, while certainly not neo-nazis in some technically demonstrable sense, are nevertheless clearly obsessed with race and in many cases are pushing ethnic nationalist agendas and using fear of Islamism and terrorism to further them. I think that at the back of his mind somewhere even he can understand why that is making people want to have nothing to do with him.

I'm as loyal of a CJ supporter as their is - I may not be all that active of a poster but I read LGF religiously and do my best to attract people to this site. On the whole I totally agree with Charles position on Vlaams Belang, Gates of Vienna etc. Where I depart completely is on the Robert Spencer stuff. I remember the "When friends attack" post and feeling - "yah, it's a bummer but Charles is right for standing up here". But Spencer is a class act and a reasonable man. Seeing the above post characterizing Spencer's post as a "Vicious attack" really sucks. If my beloved leader really believes that atack is Vicious, he's being skin-thinned ad absurdum.

In the 12 years I've been an avid interwebs users, this is the first time I recall that two people I really like got in a battle like this. I read both blogs every day although on the whole I spend more time here. Two brilliant minds with great insights and such a small point of disagreement shouldn't be in a brawl like this. So after 3 years of daily reading, this is the first time I disagree with CJ - it's bound to happen at some point. I'll still read both sites just like I did before this feud. I still repsect both men. But man does it bum me out to see this happening and for the life of me, i can't see how anyone in either camp is better off for this.

I did not "turn on" Robert. I'm being true to myself. I will not have anything to do with people who support racism and genocide.
