Hawaii State Verifies Obama Birth Certificate

Politics | Sat, Nov 1, 2008 at 1:03:29 pm PDT

The State of Hawaii has released a statement verifying that they have Barack Obama’s official birth certificate on record.

HONOLULU — The state’s Department of Health director on Friday released a statement verifying the legitimacy of Sen. Barack Obama birth certificate.

The state has received multiple requests for a copy of Obama’s birth certificate. State law does not allow officials to release the birth certificate of a person to someone outside of the family. ...

“There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama’s official birth certificate. State law (Hawai‘i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record,” DOH Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said.

“Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures. No state official, including Governor Linda Lingle, has ever instructed that this vital record be handled in a manner different from any other vital record in the possession of the State of Hawai‘i,” Fukino said.

Will this put a stop to the idiotic rumors? Of course not!

This was on front page of paper yesterday. It was also revealed that Governor Lingle did not order the original sealed, but merely informed the Department head to follow rules.

Some of these people pushing the rumor may very well be socialists who are afraid that The Big ZERO (Die Grosse NULL) will give Socialism a bad name. But then one would have to be a bit loopy to be a socialist in the first place.

He has been sued in several states to produce this document.

Instead of spending 50 cents to request the original, he chose to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to defend the lawsuits.

State law is clear. It is not allowed to post the BC. it can release it to the appropriate parties. The State did release a single bulletin that said it confirmed Obama was born in Hawaii. Obama apparently does not want to release the original because of some awkward language regarding his father's heritage. But the Obama's did not necessarily use the language, rather the person typing the form did.

45 Fat Bastard Vegetarian  Sat, Nov 1, 2008 1:15:23pm

The troofers'll be able to totally re-focus their energies on Obama. That will be the total bright side I would take out of an Obama win (which he won't).

There's an even deeper layer of idiocy to this: even if he were born outside the U.S., would we really want that to disqualify him? The Constitution should be amended to get rid of that requirement. It made some sense in the 18th Century (England had been in the recent past ruled by Scottish, Dutch and German dynasties), but there's no point to it now.

I went through the State Department lists of travel prohibited countries in 1981 and could not find Pakistan on the relatively short list. It might have been on the caution list, but that does not prohibit travel. And the caution lists are revised all the time. In 1981 the USA and Pakistan repaired their relationship.

Instead of spending 50 cents to request the original, he chose to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to defend the lawsuits.

That is an excellent questions. Maybe he chose not to dignify the challenges with a response. Maybe (my guess) he doesn't feel like unnecessarily releasing a document that draws attention to his middle name.

re: #50 Bud Norton

There's an even deeper layer of idiocy to this: even if he were born outside the U.S., would we really want that to disqualify him? The Constitution should be amended to get rid of that requirement. It made some sense in the 18th Century (England had been in the recent past ruled by Scottish, Dutch and German dynasties), but there's no point to it now.

No, we need that layer of protection to keep the oval office safe from foreign influence worse then Willies money from China.
There may be stuff on his birth certificate that would be uncomfortable, such as his father declaring him a Kenyan, but it would be immaterial if he is born in Hawaii. It would be fuel for internet geeks though.
Things to consider, Obama hgad an easy cheap option to shut down this rumor but chose not to use it (producing the birth certificate). Ask your self why. This was the 2008 version of Clinton bombing Iraq, a distraction. the question is from WHAT? We got Ayers, Doehrn, Wright, Khalidi, WHAT DID WE MISS?

Raped girl, 13, stoned to death

Mogadishu - A 13-year-old girl who said she had been raped was stoned to death in Somalia after being accused of adultery by Islamic militants, a human rights group said.

Dozens of men stoned Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow to death on October 27 in a stadium packed with 1 000 spectators in the southern port city of Kismayo, Amnesty International and Somali media reported, citing witnesses.

The Islamic militia in charge of Kismayo had accused her of adultery after she reported that three men had raped her, the rights group said.

re: #17 pat

Obama is apparently a citizen of both Kenya and Indonesia, as well as America. America no longer requires the renunciation of foreign citizenship, a policy that appears to be having some totally foreseeable and unwelcome results.

Given the circumstances, it's my understanding that his Indonesian citizenship would have automatically canceled at age 21, leaving the US citizenship in place.

Even though having multiple wives was legal in Kenya in 1961, the same didn't apply here in the US. So, since Barack Sr. already had a wife back home, it's probable that a US court would rule that the February 1961 'marriage' between Barack Hussein Obama Sr. and Stanley Ann Dunham was invalid due to bigamy, which would have automatically made Junior a bona-fide US citizen, no matter where he was born. (Depending, of course, upon daddy Obama's Kenyan marriage being recognized in the US.)

We'll all just have to do the 'vote' thang, folks.

In the final weekend before the presidential election, John McCain unveiled a new attack on Barack Obama, criticizing his comment that his victory in Iowa’s caucuses last winter had “vindicated” his faith in the American people.

“My country has never had to prove anything to me, my friends,” McCain said while campaigning in the Washington suburbs in northern Virginia. “I’ve always had faith in it and I’ve been humbled and honored to serve it.

McCain is such an honorable guy. I'm proud to vote for him.

The funniest part of the story:

Trudeau said yesterday he found it impossible to treat what he saw as the impending election of the nation’s first African-American president as just another campaign.

“I couldn’t let such a historic occasion go by without comment, and it seemed lame to try to do it without positing an outcome,” Trudeau said in an e-mail. “Unlike the last election, which was a toss-up, the metrics this year make an Obama victory highly likely (Fivethirtyeight.com has it at 96.3 percent), so I thought it worth the risk.”

“As a syndicate we thought it was a gutsy move,” said Kathie Kerr, Universal Press Syndicate’s vice president for communications.

Also - those stats (in the stories I've seen on the same states and early voting) do not represent a significant increase in early voting over 2004. This isn't anything new. After the last presidential election, I found out none of my absentee ballots spanning my Army career had counted as they were all tossed as invalid due to the lack of a postmark. The military post offices didn't postmark mail at that time. I don't recall much hullabaloo being made of it as everyone was more concerned with voters in the state of Florida that somehow couldn't manage to poke that chad out correctly or line the candidates names up with the holes. Republicans, however seemed to manage it well enough as the news didn't mention any problem with their ballots. (sigh) I digress.

re: #281 Sharmuta

don't forget this bit

A startling 76 percent of those polled said that they had voted for John McCain. This contrasts sharply with pre-election polls of American Jews in the U.S., which indicate a strong preference for Obama.

The exit poll findings of American voters in Israel are all the more surprising because less than one in four were registered Republicans, and 46% of registered Democrats living in Israel said they had crossed party lines to vote McCain. By contrast, the Republican crossover to Obama was minimal – just 2%.

The votes are significant as almost half of the 42,000 registered U.S. voters living in Israel come from key swing states including Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

I did - I was correcting your post - which implied your link said they were voting "for" BO. I couldn't figure out why you were posting a link contrary to what you posted. We got our wires crossed, sorry.

I'm sorry, my wording of the original post sucked. I had posted the link because I had received five E-mails stating the opposite. Knowing how E-mails travel, if I had received them, most others in here had to have received them also. Hence, I looked it up and posted the real results which show McCain favorably.

re: #281 Sharmuta

Seriously- this is numbers on party affiliation only. There are PUMAs voting, so don't read that much into this.

Here's som support for your beliefs, Sharm! These are only excerpts, so read the whole thing!

McCain is Winning --Here is the Proof

1) The politically savvy Governor of Pennsylvania, Ed Rendell, is clearly panicking. Rendell has publicly begged the Obama campaign to send their star back to the state for no less than THREE major events to "close the deal" on a state that should have been closed for the leftists month ago.

2) Obama has "suspended" campaigning -- something he refused to do to help quell the financial crisis that he sees as working in his favor -- in order to visit his ailing grandmother. Since this is the same grandmother he had cynically thrown under a bus in his wonderfully eloquent speech in defense of his mentor, Jeremiah Wright -- a woman he later described as nothing more than "a typical white woman," it is fair to be cynical about his real purpose in suddenly caring so much about her he would actually visit her (when he barely spent a minute with her just a few weeks ago when he vacationed in Hawaii.) I suspect, more than anything, it was a desperate attempt to get his name out of the news for a few days, to let the stink of his campaign go away, after several disastrous stories made their way into the public consciousness.

3) Candidates who are well on their way to a landslide do not make "major speeches" in which they introduce new policy. Candidates who recognize that there is a deep mistrust of their policies do. Again, despite the best efforts of the leftist media, Obama's deeply held Marxist beliefs have made it into the minds of mainstream America and Obama, without any lead in the polls, feels he must explain away the evidence.

4) If you'll recall, the reason the God of Change chose Joseph Robinette Biden -- a guy who has been sitting in the US Senate since he was about the same age as Britney Spears is today -- was because he would quell the rightful fears of an electorate that recognizes Obama's utter lack of executive or foreign policy experience. Now Joe has shown himself to be, well, to be nice about it, wholly unhinged. From ordering cripples to "stand up" to describing Obama's fiscal policy in "three letters...J-O-B-S, to his belief that FDR was president in 1929 and that Americans all sat around their televisions watching him, Biden's mental health needs to be seriously questioned.

These insanities, however, pale in comparison to Biden's promise that, should Obama somehow manage to win (or steal) the election, there will be an internationla crisis within six months BROUGHT ON BY OBAMA, not to mention Biden's expounding on the point by saying Obama's policies will appear to be the wrong response but trust us -- the wholly unknown Obama at the helm, the mentally unstable Biden his number two.

Once and for all - there ye have it: once he's in, he'll be in forever.

With all due respect, I always thought it quite ludicrous when I heard lefties say that Bush was going to suspend the 2004 and 2008 elections. I have similar thoughts about comments saying similar things about Obama.

From what I found in a few sources, you are a citizen of the country you're born in. In order to be an American citizen (if one or both parents are American), it said that the birth has to be registered with the US Embassay within a certain amount of time. OR if you are born in another country on a US military base to US parents as McCain was, you are automatically a citizen.

A PUMA speaks. Very interesting
[Link: deathby1000papercuts.com...]

Three things the Obamanauts will do to suppress Republican voter turnout:

(1) Calls for McCain to just give up and quit, because the race is over.
This one is a favorite of the trolls who lurk on pro-McCain sites. We get them here, despite all the spraying and fumigating we do, but notice how we ignore these trolls. We’ve identified two paid Obama staffers who have been assigned to HillBuzz. We picked them up around the same time people from Ace and LGF started picking up some of our stuff — so our guess is they were assigned to us by whoever was monitoring those sites. They’re different trolls than the ones assigned to us during the primaries (we only had one back then, so evidently we’ve gotten more on the radar now). One of them starts posting “her” concern troll remarks here at 8am. The other one starts “his” remarks around 5pm or so. It appears there are two shifts for the trolls — and from what we can see, they share the same computer and IP address. And it’s an address right here in Chicago.

(2) Wild claims of Obama winning states that shock and surprise you. If you do just ONE THING today, we ask you a personal favor: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to as many Republican blogs as you can and WARN THEM that the Obamedia will tell you all weekend that Obama is winning Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Florida, Iowa, Virginia, West Virginia, and other states we do not believe Obama will win (except for Iowa, which we still think goes to Obama, but our best sources claim McCain now leads in internals by 1 point). They are already starting to say truly crazy things like “Obama will win Louisiana and Arkansas!”, and that’s just nuts.

(3) Repeated insistance that blacks and young people will decide this election, and they are all going to vote in record numbers for Obama.
We, thus, believe Obama will not have much more support from blacks than Kerry did, since Democrats win almost all black voters anyway. This year will be no different.

re: #364 infidel Alan

My response to this tactic is simple:

0bama is inevitable? I guess that means 0bama doesn't need any more support, and doesn't need anyone else to go out and vote for him.

If 0bama is inevitable anyway, I guess McCain supporters should get out there and vote, in order to make sure the margin of 0bama's victory as small. I'm sure they wouldn't want it to seem like 0bama would have some sort of mandate.

...or the short version:

If 0bama is so far ahead, why isn't he farther ahead?

This was never a single issue to decide the election but it is certainly something to take into consideration.

It's a significant indicator of good King O's degree of respect for the constitution that he is not quick to lay to rest any doubts of whether he satisfies its requirements. A man who plays immature games like that is eminently qualified to lead the democratic party but not the free world.

Or maybe he doesn't satisfy the requirements of the constitution. Either way O adds to the reasons why he is not fit to be president.

I went through the State Department lists of travel prohibited countries in 1981 and could not find Pakistan on the relatively short list. It might have been on the caution list, but that does not prohibit travel. And the caution lists are revised all the time. In 1981 the USA and Pakistan repaired their relationship.

Hmmm. Your dates seem to be a bit off. I wonder if it makes any difference. Note this recent article from a Pakistan newspaper:

OBAMA'S MOTHER STAYED IN PAKISTAN FOR 5 YEARS

From *Daily Waqt*
Published from Lahore, Pakistan, Sunday August 31, 2008:

Lahore (Pervez Al-Islam): The mother of American Presidential hopeful, Barack Obama, Mrs. Ann Dunham lived in Pakistan for five years. During this time, Barack Obama also visited his mother and stayed for a few months. Mrs. Ann Dunham was hired as a consultant by the Asian Development Bank for Pakistan Agricultural Development Bank’s Gujranwalla Agricultural Development Program.

This program began in 1987 and ended in 1992. Mrs. Ann Dunham monitored the funds received for this program from the Asian Development Bank and trained the Mobile Credit Officers of the Agricultural Bank. This program was controlled from the Gujranwalla Regional Office. She stayed for five years in the Hilton International Hotel (now Avari Hotel), Lahore. She traveled daily from Lahore to Gujranwalla. When Barack Obama visited Pakistan, he stayed in the same hotel.

After returning from Pakistan, she died from cancer within three years.

Ann Dunham died in November, 1995.

And what would happen if there was an attack on the USA, like, say a dirty bomb? Emergency measures which give executive power to The one?

The scary part is that without the internet, just a widespread RUMOR of such an attack could be used to start this monster rolling. It's a slippery slope, because rumors -- and witch hunts -- are easy to start and tough to wrap up. Just what would it take, to make such a rumor into so-called 'fact'? Just because the title 'conspiracy theorist' is a bad name, that doesn't mean that conspiracies never happen. All of recorded history is crammed full of them. The 'Trojan Horse' story has been forever popular for a good reason.

The 'boys-who-cry-wolf' and 'the sky is falling' conspiracy theorists tend to defuse, weaken and downgrade valid warnings to the point where, when a genuine, bonafide wolf comes along, he finds easy pickings because nobody gives a damn anymore.

That said, a 60-second google search on Homeland Security just came up with this random hit:

FBI & Homeland Security behind martial law exercises in Indianapolis
June 18th, 2008

"...The preponderance of the evidence strongly suggest that the Marines in Indianapolis are being prepared for civilian law enforcement functions in direct violation of Posse Comitatus which prohibits federal troops from exercising state law enforcement police or peace officer powers to maintain “law and order” on non-federal property. I suspect most of the Marines in the 26th are not even aware of their role in this joint law enforcement exercises. Neither the Marines nor Indiana police have been briefed on the significance of the Posse Comitatus Act..."

I dunno.... it could be that this birth certificate thing seems like such a simple yet powerful thing: that if it were shown he wasn't a natural-born American, it would end his Presidency even before it begins... regardless of if he won the election or not. They imagine that if he was shown to be born in Kenya or something, that even if he won by a landslide, he'd instantly be barred from the position, and that notion is a REALLY powerful draw... to the point that they profoundly WANT it to be true even if there's NO real chance of it BEING true... and so they put all their effort into digging it up and/or propogating it... and so don't even see, or care about, more complex, more likely-to-be-true matters that could harm Obama if those matters were publicly exposed: they're already so focused on the Obama birth certificate matter that they can't SEE anything else even if that something else comes up and bites them on the ass.

If Obama is still refusing to release his birth certificate for any personal reason at all, it would be something other than the fact of his birth as an American citizen.

It may drive people crazy forever that he won't release it, but it doesn't matter.

He's also refusing to release his medical records and his records at Columbia.

Maybe they all contain the same personal information that he doesn't want released. Even if this is true, it isn't information that would place his birth in another country. So it wouldn't have an impact on his citizenship at birth.

Obama is a creepy guy with the kinds of secrets that a Presidential candidate isn't usually tolerated as keeping from the public. He's been getting a pass on this from the MSM while some reporters have demanded DNA from Sarah Palin. The pro-Obama and anti-McCain/Palin bias has been stinking to high heaven all year.
